omg I’m so closer to dropping this, what do u mean label the things u use in my bathroom why? his comments and…
Label scene - He was just being sarcastic. The fool is unable to ever speak his mind so rather than admitting he prepared everything for her (the prescription lenses was the clue), he’d say something so asinine.
But you are kind of right, he is a red-ish flag so his butt is going to get dumped sooo hard soon. Even he pretty much admits that he can be cruel 🙈
The mother knows that the advice won't work😅. She probably didn't want to ruin the holidays with a pointless…
I feel like the dad may have mellowed over the years? Kind of like the previous generation’s Tao-Luke?
The mother doesn’t think Luke is perfect either. Remember in one of the earlier episodes, she tried to set him up on a date but throughout the 2 calls she practically begged him to behave at least remotely decent enough so he doesn’t offend the blind date/ the matchmaker and how she would have declined the invitation if she could?
You do have a good point on how Luke’s behaviour was not corrected. It’s clear he is willing to change at least now for Tao so he couldn’t have always been a lost cause right?
I wonder if we will get to see more on his childhood. The mother definitely was soft on him but in such a way that he doesn’t seem to even trust her enough to talk? I mean usually in Cdramas where the father is at odds with the son, usually the son is extra close with his mum but based on the little we know about Luke from the flashbacks/ the childhood bestfriend, it sounds like even his mother never broke through his walls. IDK if it makes sense.
Luke doesn’t need lessons that man is a walking dream
Haha but he really needs to learn the right time to talk.
Today in MBMB, the ML and FL were having a date at his place so they were cooking together. The FL is an amateur at cooking and soon it was clear that she was about to ruin the pasta sauce so the ML subtly changed their responsibilities by giving her "knife duty" claiming it's because his skills suck. She didn't find out the real reason for the switch.
I couldn't help wondering what Luke would have done while watching it. Would he have unintentionally teased Tao with a very rude (and clueless) joke? 🙈
Not Luke’s dad giving him some sound advice about his personality only to be followed up by his mom saying people…
The mother knows that the advice won't work😅. She probably didn't want to ruin the holidays with a pointless arguement.
The other issue is while the father's advice may be sound, it's just as cutting as Luke's. We already know how harsh the father can be (even out of love) from Luke's childhood flashbacks so the mum probably knew that if she didn't defuse the issue at hand, things could get messy since Luke is no longer a kid either to just accept the criticism quietly🙈
IDK how she has the patience to handle both of them so calmly 🙈🤣
Is this month officially the month of secret office romances? 🙈
I'm basically getting an intense tutorial on the importance of communication and knowing when to shut your mouth while bouncing between "The Early Spring" and "My Bias, My Boss".
Luke should totally take some lessons from Ha Gi (MBMB)🙈🙈🙈
So apparently they are supposed to be in a 6 year relationship and somehow they break up and she makes her own…
Apparently the drama was supposed to have more episodes but they had to cut about 8 or so episodes so we will definitely have time skips to compensate the lost hours 🙈
Omg, are they cut from somewhere? I felt that too🤔 Didn’t get to find the extended version anywhere though!!
I think so. For instance even in ep 11, the opening scene shows Tao drooling at Luke while he works out and once she gets caught she hides in the washroom. I’ve seen clips of them wearing the same outfits having a heavy makeout session in FMVs but this was not included in the episode🙈
It's funny that when I first read the plot, I thought, "No girl in her right mind would agree to a secret…
NGL the casting director really deserves an award for choosing him as Luke. He’s the perfect mix of a “devilish angel”. You know he’s going to break your heart but how…HOW can you resist him when he looks at you with his almost luminous eyes 🙈
It's disappointing to see one of the worst shows online right now glorify a red-flag ML on mainstream TV, by framing…
They are not glorifying his behaviour TBF. We already know that collectively their poor choices will lead them to have a very messy breakup. We are still watching their flashbacks technically.
She has experience...it's just that he is ions more experienced than her. Basically it's like being promoted from…
Not exactly. At least the drama version of him is not a womanizer. He’s high maintenance and is terrible at communicating his thoughts. Since the FL also doesn’t have a lot of experience and isn’t even really exposed to hardhships, she sometimes misunderstands him. You can’t really blame her even since he really has a knack of saying the wrong thing. Kind of too blunt for his own good?
Both end up agreeing to have a secret relationship since their company doesn’t allow romances and he is her superior so it could really backfire on her if the company found out. The problem though is that since they are terrible at communicating with eachother, things tend to spiral 🙈
It’s a second chance drama so before we can have sunshine, we have to weather the storm 🙈
PS:
1) FL isn’t experienced in the sense, when they first met she was a fresh graduate from an ordinary but loving family and has only had one serious relationship. The ML on the other hand doesn’t like clingy girls since one of his exes got super obsessed with him after they broke up.
Does anyone know what the little yellow bead things are that Luke puts in the milk? Are those pollen drops?
It’s made out of a popular edible flower in Chinese culture. You may have noticed it (notably mostly cake, tea, and honey) being referenced in Cdramas.
Try googling the meaning behind “osmanthus” if you have time. It’s quite interesting how deep it goes. It’s not just food.

PS: Novel Luke was way worse in this scene

I hope it’ll at least be coherent.
He’s frigging Puss in Boots😂

2) Age gap - 6 years (22 vs 28)
With the milk it miiight work if the milk is thick (almost yoghurty but not quite?). His looks too sweet ngl- pretty but too sweet 🙈🙈🙈
Basically it's like being promoted from elimentary school level to Masters Level.

I accidentally found the chapters once they get back together.
I was taken by surprise with the way Luke responded to one of her questions with a "woof, yes"🤣
