Ok, so episode 19, WTH. Did we have some HUGE gaps or what? So, LN my man, rolls in as usually looking all runway…
My best guess is between the time Luke got leave to stay in NW Region with Tao and the Tibet trip, some time must have passed - it’s just that they must have cut some scenes in between. It would also explain why his mother was surprised he didn’t go on a trip with his friends.
The novel readers would probably have a better idea though on the timeline.
SYZ - yes- he commits suicide since he could no longer bare the pressure from his family amongst other things 😢
They were aware that he has a tendancy to skip meals (his excuse was work) which is why they always bring it up…
That’s unfortunately true 🥲 It looks like the director might do justice with his send off but I wonder how far they can cover considering we have 4 episodes left for the post break up era
The 14 months of the project would have helped to give us a date but she doesnt seem to be done with it when he…
That’s true-even the weather isn’t helpful. You ‘re probably right though. Even Luke 🐶 looks bigger (and not just because he’s been pampered like a prince)
So the roommate knows the other roommate is bascially starving to death, she didn't tell anyone, and no one is…
They were aware that he has a tendancy to skip meals (his excuse was work) which is why they always bring it up whenever they see him.
The issue is since they no longer live together, there isn't much they can do.
From Sun Yu's end, she kept giving him snacks and meals whenever she could but after he shifted to NW region, it's impossible.
From Tao's end, we haven't really seen her being too involved with him alone since she's usually away from their apartment thanks to work/ Luke. Even after moving closer for the project, I highly doubt she'd have time to hang out with him like they used to since both of them are workaholics and their sites are likely to be far apart. This would explain why his death hit her so badly I guess. The guilt.
The 3rd guy (Lei?) is supposed to travel alot for work too so not sure if he actually noticed the signs.
Quick question on the pacing- In ep 19, did they break up for 3-6months or over a year?
Luke mentioned in the call that they've been dating for 6 years (not sure if he was kidding) but at the same time Tao didn't look too annoyed/ frustratedwhen he kept calling her his girlfriend before they patched things up.
They ideally would have broken up during their 4th year based on ep 18.
Not telling the ex about Luke seems to be a reflexive move to her. Like she’s so used to hiding it? Even with…
Tit's really sad honestly. You know they care about eachother and could be great together but they've somehow managed to trap themselves in an endless cycle of hurt🥲
If you look at his scenes closely, you can see how his “light” gradually dims. As in he’s always helpful but there’s always this exhausted look in his eyes. Not physically, but with life itself.
It’s really unfortunate since he’s such a great addition
Did he die in ep 19? I haven’t watched it yet. Just know that he’s supposed to die in the novel.
This is the first time I have read the full novel for a drama. I read it after starting TES. I apologize if I…
Don’t apologize! Your insight has been really useful to get a better idea with certain scenes/ character depth 😊
I also loved the chapters you recommended. I’m planning to read the novel after the drama ends since I found myself confusing the novel’s scenes with the drama’s at times when commenting after some time.

I understand they had to cut alot of scenes but it would have been more clear if they gave the date stamps properly🥲
It's connected to her promotion as well/ a lack of communication yet again
Basically too many things happen at the same time.

So how long has it really been?
I was seriously hoping C-censorship Board would come to our rescue...even the preview looks too heartbreaking
Did you get to watch ep 19 yet?
We are almost there🙈🙈🙈
They should have broken up in ep 18 🥲🥲🥲
Ep 20 is going to be sooo harsh after today's ❤️❤️❤️❤️ episode 🙈
What's C-censorship board's stance on suicide?🙈 This is the one time I hope they actually sanitized it with a better alternative

Everything about him is irresistable…but that mouth?🙈
