Someone please refresh my memory. Was it mentioned in one of the early episodes that the current Duke of Xue was the 3rd son and he wasn't a favorite of his father?

I agree with you that she needs XW to tame her. Her personality is very strong and independent. As much as I think I will like Zhang Zhe since I have yet to see his game, I still feel he's a bit too straight laced and proper for Ning 'Er.
Why hate TML? He's also very nice although I don't want him as Ning'Er end game.
I think he deserves a second chance just like she’s getting a second chance. So far, I haven’t seen anything bad about his character and nothing is shown about the SA at all in the drama up to the latest episode. Not sure what’s going on in the novel, but I like the way the drama script is heading.
Hahaha, I'm not a master in Chinese calligraphy, but at least recognize the kiddie's penmanship when Ning Er copied that poem in Ep 10. Anyone interested in seeing, it's at the 3:00 minute mark.
