I've watched all of Bai Lu's dramas, although some I didn't finish because I couldn't get into them. I have to say SoKP is my favorite of hers with Zhang LingHe. I love XuKai and Allen Ren, and enjoy Luo Yun Xi's latest work, but Zhang Ling He takes the champion cup for best match.

I remember someone asked him to go pick her up from the countryside and bring her back to the capital. As for who tasked him with this, I don't remember. Why he was selected wasn't mentioned in the drama. Along the way, they got in trouble and were chased by people, and she saved his life.

Same here. I never have SL/TL syndrome in dramas/novels. There's a reason why the 1st ML is the ML. If the author creates multiple romantic options for the FL/heroine, the ML always has something extra over the others.
