What a great turning moment at the slapping scene! CSS and her mom bonded and established a new level of respect and pride mutually. CSS finally witnessed first hand her Mom’s love for her, and how protective and mighty fierce her mom was on her behalf.
CSS will realize overtime that the action of protecting someone, physically and mentally, is synonymous to caring and loving that person. Hopefully, she’ll be able to link this action to LBY soon.
YS is sketchy, I haven’t seen the previews but instead of trying to appeal to her parents. He’s appearing…
And I don’t like how he told her to leave the carriage. What an unmanly thing to do. Such petty behavior is unattractive in a man no matter how educated he is. 😱
I’m liking how the director shot the last couple minutes of ep. 20. CSS turned away from the gory deed into someone’s arms. Did it make you wonder who it could have been before the reveal!? Because I did.
Can anyone please recommend some costume dramas (palace / xianxia / wuxia etc) to watch while waiting for new…
My all-time favorite wuxia:
Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Sabre (2019 version).
My top Historical /Smart Female :
The Long Ballad ( if you like Leo’s acting in LLTG, he’s even better in TLB due to close up shots, over the top original soundtrack, … just.. a really good experience).
Is there a difference between married and single ladies hairstyle?
Normally, yes. But in LLTG, it’s not a big difference that I see. The single ladies are embellished with braids while married ladies don’t have braids or as many braids.
In other dynasties or later years, singles have their hair down; married have their hair up or in a bun.
I recall seeing a video clip of Leo Wu describing LBY as "toxic" but at least in this situation he is acting very…
Thanks for the clarification about the video. Really looking forward to their relationship building part, healthy or not, because their story is addictive. :)

I didn’t see the video and neither could I understand enough Mandarin to grasp Wu Leo’s usage of a possible mis-translation of the word “toxic” by a fan or maybe even by the official media platform.
In English, toxic as a characteristic is so negative. Not having read the book nor alternative in-depth excerpts, I don’t have further insights to LBY’s psyche, I could only go off what have been presented to us from the drama, and from what I’ve seen, he’s far from the “toxic” as how we have come to understand the lingo in modern day. I feel “strategic” may be a more suitable term. As for what Wu Lei meant to express, I’m hoping he meant LBY is “dark, vengeful, blood tainted (from war), no qualm in killing the bad guys” type of “toxic” vibe. I find it difficult to believe the original writer would pen a real toxic ML for us to idolize and drool over . 😀
I have an even better idea. They should release all episodes at once ! 😀hehe
@Uniesa If only there’s a way for us to express our solidarity to Tencent, and on top of that for them to take us seriously. Hahaha. We need a lobbyist to represent us! 😛🤪
