This was my first non-romance Japanese drama and actually my very first non-romance drama in general. I watch dramas for the romance so I was very much sure that I will not like this drama or at least will be missing the romance element. Not at all! This was a splendid drama with a strong main character that was the soul of the drama and fantastic supporting cast that just elevated the whole thing to another level. Yonekura Ryoko is just a wonderful actress whose portrayal of dr. Daimon Michiko is simply unbelievable. Daimon Michiko is a special kind of woman. She is strong, capable and very talented. With her sidekick Kanabara Akira, played by the spectacular Kishibe Ittoki, they create many funny situations that made me laugh al through the episodes. This drama is interesting, the story is thrilling and never boring. Seriously watch it, you will not be disappointed.

Definitely, a must watch if you watched Descendents of the sun. This is a nice and well-needed conclusion. It gives you more than just the drama and more time with the characters that you learn to love while watching the actual drama. This episode gives you a chance to get to know the actors and actresses a little bit closer, see their work and get to know their experience of making this drama. It gives you additional screentime for watching Joong Ki's beautiful face and watch his wonderful acting.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful. I loved Song Joong Ki before and I was looking forward to his return in drama land, but I most certainly did not expect for his return to be so good! This was simply a splendid drama. At first, I doubted the main actress Song Hye Kyo and her ability in connecting with Joong Ki, but I was just painfully wrong. They had an amazing chemistry, they completed each other's acting and made this drama into one of my favorite dramas ever! Ji Go and Kim Ji Won are outstanding also and could just as well be the main couple. The cast, in general, was nicely chosen, from the good guys to villains. This was a fantastic return for Joong Ki and made him an even bigger star than he already was. I always hate when drama couple gets together in real life but I simply can not help but be happy for Joong Ki and Hye Kyo. They truly are perfect for each other and deserve happiness. The OST was enchanting, especially Yoon Mirae's Always. The story was nicely written and shot and not one episode was boring.  On the contrary, I wanted for this drama to be longer than it actually was. This drama is on my forever watchlist. I could see myself watching this drama once every year. I love it and you are crazy if you don't go and watch it right now!

Saruman thrillingly approves!

Oh how much I wanted for this drama to be good. How much I missed a good Japanese drama in my life. I was so grateful for this drama it was unbelievable. It is basically a no romance drama, at least romance was not the main this,  Matsushita Nao and Ishihara Satomi were just wonderful. They had a great chemistry and their portrayal of two sisters with a mainly conflicted relationship and many life problems was spot on. I loved this drama for its sincerity, incorporation of real-life problems, humor with a hint of seriousness when needed and mainly for an impressive and very realistic portrayal of family bonds and the relationship among siblings. It was a drama that I the least expected to tear up while watching. This is definitely the drama I would recommend to every drama watched no matter the age and no matter if you are a romance only lover. This drama will make you rethink your life choices and your life path and open your eyes with it's truly wonderful, fulfilling and emotional ending.

I really have no special thoughts about this Japanese drama. Japanese people know how to make a decent drama and this was one of them. Although I consider this an average production it was still a decent watch. It was cute, filled with funny remarks. It was a relaxing and pleasant watch. The actors were decent and made their roles believable and for once not cheesy which surprised me. The story of course based on a manga was fun and complete. The ending was satisfying. I would recommend this to any drama lover.

Saruman is okay with this.

I love me some good medical drama. That's probably just Grey's anatomy fever, but every time I watch a medical drama I have high expectations. Well, this one definitely reached my top level. I absolutely adored the story. It was not rushed, it was believable it had wonderful, realistic character and most importantly it was thrilling to watch and made my heart ache many many times.  It glued me to my Isengard throne until I finished. I admit I finished this drama in a day (so what everyone has a lazy day, my orcs can work by themselves). The star of this drama is definitely Kim Young Kwang, who portrayed his doctor character so fantastically well I daydreamed him for weeks. Jung So Min was a little less impressive, but still a decent leading lady. The couple definitely had lots of chemistry that's why I was so very much disappointed that the producer or screenwriters did not decide to explore or elaborate their relationship any further. I watched this drama twice now and I will watch it at least once more. I love it and I know you will love it too, so watch it.

This drama was not a random watch for me. I love the role of Lee Min Jung in Boys over flowers and I wanted to see more of here, so I ended up watching this lovely drama. The acting was great. Min Jung is capable of playing any role she is given and this was a fine role for her. Her character went through a roller coaster of emotions and she made it believable. Joo Sang Wook, although not my favorite actor, was a decent leading man and also put a spot on performance of a heartbroken, but now extremely successful man. They had an excellent chemistry and made the coupling believable.  The supporting cast is also wonderful. The story is interesting and follows a nice pace, which makes this drama a pleasant watching material. I definitely recommend this drama to all romance lovers, especially those who love a great romance story with a strong, independent leading lady which Min Jung in the role of Na Ae Ra most certainly is.

Hmm. I have read almost all reviews that our fellow drama watcher wrote on this one and I was quite surprised by a number of people saying that this was soo ''cute''. Maybe I am a bitter-hearted person (after all I live alone in a tower with an orc factory in my front yard) but I found this movie very forced. I have yet to find a movie where Komatsu Nana would make me say wow she is a good or at least decent actress. She was plain, showed no emotions whatsoever and in my opinion had no chemistry at all with Yamashita Tomohisa who tried very hard to make something of this relationship. I think she was the wrong choice for this movie. The story by itself I guess was okay, but the acting made it boring and just frustrating. The lack of emotions between the lead couple was devastating for the movie. I would not watch this again, just by writing about it makes me frustrated. I would not recommend this to my friends, well maybe to some orcs they have no heart after all...

The orc association approves...

Ah, those were the day of my fangirling of Lee Min Ho! Those days are so over. I wouldn't say that Lee Min Ho is not a good actor because truth to be told he is, but I just find something on him that makes you start him slowly like less. Maybe because he is choosing similar roles. But I think that the real reason is, for me particularly, the extension of your/mine knowledge of drama world. There are better and hotter actors, therefore I'd say the, otherwise lovely Lee Min Ho, is just slightly overrated and this drama is an example of that. It was okay, the story is okay (although it is dying for the wow effect). I don't see any special chemistry between Min Ho and Park Min Young, who btw is one of my favorite Korean actresses. The ending is truly lame and the drama is kind of forgettable. This drama is very similar to drama titled Healer (with Park Min Young also in the main actress role), but City Hunter is not half as good as Healer is.  I truly think this was rushed and starstruck by Lee Min Ho. I'd say watch it. Watch it yes, but watch it BEFORE you watch healer. You'll save yourself from a big disappointment and you'll be satisfied with the decision after watching healer. I made the mistake of watching Healer first and loving it, since City Hunter is almost the same I was left unfulfilled after finishing this drama. First came Lee Min Ho with City Hunter and left me unhappy, but thank you lord Sauron you sent us Ji Chang Wook and gave us one of the best dramas ever.

Saruman is okay with this one, but would rather watch Healer and sexy Ji Chang Wook.

Hahaha, I am here to speak the truth and nothing but the truth. And to tell you the truth I don't remember much about this movie, but bits and pieces. The reason for that is of course that I am writing this review a few months after watching it, but for me to remember so little might say something about this movie. I remember the story and the basic summary, but I don't necessarily remember any scened (maybe one or two). I guess the story is okay, nothing spectacular. The actors are okay, mostly what I would consider their typical role. I plan to watch this movie again because I truly wonder what made me give this movie an 8. I'd say it's a decent movie to watch when you are bored.

Saruman doesn't really remember this one but that's okay.

This was a lovely movie. I've watched the anime version of it so I had really high expectations. Although I was not necessarily wowed, I was rather pleased with the final product. The casting was chosen nicely. Matsuyama Kenichi is a capable actor and fits nicely into the role of an introvert, capable ''nephew'' and new father/guardian to a little girl. However, the real star of the movie is definitely the young Ashida Mana as Kaga Rin. Her acting was wonderful and monumental, particularly for her young age. She was absolutely the right choice for this role. I loved the entire cast. The story was interesting, but as I said before nothing awe-inspiring. I'd maybe watched again in some years.  I liked it so I would recommend it. I would also recommend the anime version and also the manga, mainly if you want to see the ending and what happens to the character after the finish of this drama and also anime. My only complaint is that I would have loved for the drama to explore the additional content of the drama and continue the story, rather than end at where it ended. It truly felt a bit unfinished. Otherwise, it is a decent movie.

I love Lee Hong Ki. I think he is a wonderful singer and I truly adored him in the role of singer Jeramy in You're beautiful. But I was very skeptical if his acting skills were strong enough to actually hold the lead male role in a drama, to be that hot main guy that all the girls wanna be with. Well, I doubt him no more. He was perfect. His acting was on point and his character development was great. Choi Kang Joo went from an arrogant heir to a likable, sweet guy. When I watched the first episode I knew the story would be wonderful, but I was a bit worried I wouldn't like the main actress Yang Jin Sung. She just felt different. Well, she didn't disappoint me either. Her acting was impressive, especially since she played two roles. Both characters were so different.  As I said the story is entertaining, not too long not too short, with a nice pace. I really have no complaint. The ending was satisfying.  It's a really good drama that I definitely count into my top-notch level. I definitely recommend this drama to everyone, but especially Hong Ki or F.T. Island fans.

Now this one I would call a true classic of drama world. If you are a true kdrama fan you probably know this one or have watched this one already, if not you are in for a treat. Every Korean drama watcher should watch this drama. Not only is this a textbook drama it has a great cast starring Lee Min Ho, who is the IT boy of drama land. There is really nothing to say. The cast is awesome, the story is excellent, of course, inspired by Japanese manga. Lee Min Ho makes a fantastic Goo Jun Pyo. The music is also great. I watched this drama twice now and I'll probably watch it again. I love it. It was my first love and the drama that attracted me to this world that I am now kinda obsessed with. I may not be a big fan of Lee Min Ho anymore, but his Goo Jun Pyo made me a part of this world. You simply must watch it, whether you are a drama beginner or a drama veteran. It may be a bit cheesy but hey this is drama land and a drama simply must be a bit cheesy.

Saruman approves! Watch it!!! Watch it now!!!

This is a nice addition to the lovely drama Boys over flowers. It's a nice sit and talk type of show, where actors (male only, but that's okay) discuss their opinions about the characters and experiences of filming the drama. I'd recommend this piece to every Boys over flowers fan as it gives you a lovely insight in the drama and also offers more screen time for us to watch these young wonderful actors that portrayed this beloved characters. It's really short piece that you can watch in the evening and relax, before actually moving on the drama.

This is just additional 4 episodes of Boys over flowers. Of course, if you actually watched BOF this is something that you might want to watch but by no means is this really needed. The four episodes are nothing special. I recommended you watch it right after you finish BOF or it will really make no sense. There is nothing really memorable in this episode. At least we get additional time from this lovely characters and lovely actors. Ehh... if you have time on hand watch it... otherwise waste of precious time.

Saruman...ehh!
