I live for the day when the affection starved Ms. Dan wraps the arrogant Mama’s boy divorce lawyer around her finger because they are my One True Pair!
This has become my favorite romance Chinese drama even above Ten Miles of Peach/Eternal Love! This isn’t raging with tragic passion. But, the couple is as steady as a rock and that’s refreshing. The complexity and intrigue in the plot added to richness making one yearn for more. The ending is abrupt, but, not disappointing like so many Chinese dramas tend to be. An absolute 10/10!
I couldn't watch one preview all the way through (the one with Manniang in it) because it is S T R E S S I N G…
No one should continue to doubt ML’s love for GTY after the scene in the preview where she threw away her pride and begged for leniency for her husband while clutching the express’ ankle.
I'm on episode 3, the pace so far pretty slow and boring. Total 73 episodes, should I continue watching, will…
The first 10-11 episodes are slow compared to the typical drama that throws all the spoilers in the intro/outro credits and first episode. It gradually picks up pace in episodes 20-ish. It’s fantastic after that becoming an intense family drama with ties to palace affairs. It’s better than Yanxi Palace, imho, and could surpass Nirvana in Fire. It has the sweet romance that Nirvana in Fire lacks.
I watch/skipped my way through this. It’s not the best of this category. Worth watching while waiting for subs of a better drama. The acting of the person playing the second daughter is barely watchable. A person in their mid or late thirties can act a part of an immature teenage girl if they are skilled (like Ji Sung in Kill Me Heal Me. He is brilliant!). The woman playing Du Gu Mantuo is not skilled for this role. It is a cringe fest and almost offensive to watch the pouty lips, tantrums, fake crying and coquettish scenes! The acting of Ady An and Jeremy Jones Xu were the best parts of this. 7.5/10
The title and dreary poster leads one to believe this will be the typical war drama which I usually avoid! It’s so much more a family and romance drama that is at the top of its class! It’s an excellent balance of joy and sadness with no dead spots in the middle. This is for everyone’s watch list! 9.5/10
Let me guess. It ends with them breaking up. She takes her camera and travels the world returning before her body clock runs out. His mother finally agrees to the marriage because her son has been depressed the entire time CEO left the country. I hope the writer doesn’t ruin this ending
