Detectives typically only wear uniforms at funerals and special events like award ceremonies. The drama is unrealistic by definition. So, the loosely termed “police” character fits. The other characters especially the lead are a bit unrealistic. The sidekick is practically useless. The body guard has better combat skills and is hot enough to be the lead. The male lead character has x-ray vision! Lol

About 1/2 of the episodes are repetitive back stabbings, 6 year flashbacks, boring love quartet and other fillers. The rest is not bad due to the chemistry of the leads. 7.5/10

This is still my favorite Bolin Chen drama!

This drama feels like it is rolling down the same hill that destroyed the Cheese in the Trap Korean drama. Both were decent stories edited to emphasize second leads at the expense of the lead actors and storylines without the consent of the book authors. Feels like someone got paid under the table. I will say goodbye for now to this drama since it’s too frustrating to watch right now. On hold until the ending.

This story has few similarities to Come, Jang Bo Ri except for two females competing in a family run business.

I agree that the early episodes were the best! I like the couple from episodes 11 through 35. But, the storyline got unecessarily complicated with the standard palace mess and concubine/ consort infighting. The unique love affair got lost.

The prince is in love with Xaiofeng. They are fated. He has affection towards Sese since they grew up together, she is in love with him and she stays on his side even when he is not popular. He owes Sese gratitude and needs her father’s power to rule over his mother and the others who want to treat him like a puppet.

The ending is not great for everyone. It’s a war story. So, not every character survives. I was happy with the ending though.

They packed a lot of action and excitement into the first 10 episodes. It feels like a 16 episodes drama instead of 48. I hope this very good storyline carries throughout the drama. I’m loving the teamwork and the bromance.

There are few touching moments that make it worth watching. But, this is not the best roles for the leads. Cliche characters, i.e., over 30 career woman (elderly by Chinese standards) and the hot office young male share romance. The story is not very deep and abruptly ends. 7.5/10

The drama is not living up to its potential and it’s not because of the acting. It’s because of the slow storyline. It’s ok to watch for Nam Joo Hyuk’s visuals.

A very good historical drama that could have been very dry. The acting was great especially that of Fu Da Long who played the role of Ying Si, the first king of Qin. The set and costumes showed the budget was moderate to low for this type of drama. Looked like they didn’t have money to sweep and polish the palace floors! The leather parts of the armor were obviously cheap vinyl and stitched with fat sisal or thin rope. Lol! This did not detract from the great acting and nice ending. I wished more dramas spent more on a good script and capable actors than the fancy set and costumes. 9/10

Excellent acting skills in Qin Empire 2 as the first king of Qin.

I love the acting. The storyline is more complex than needed. That made it hard to follow when it jumps back and forth from her rich and poor lives. I got bored and skipped most of her poor life. 7.5/10

The only message I got is life sucks for the young, middle age and the elderly and a magic time machine watch is a gift from the devil!

It’s half finished and I can’t see the developing love story foretold in the description.

It’s predictable and repetitive. It has its cute and funny moments. The leads are great. The storyline gets boring half way through it. I also think she ended up with the wrong guy. 8/10
