Both are based on famous superhero manga. Both movies star Sato Takeru.............................................................
Both are refreshing shows about Japanese families' old businesses and traditions far from Tokyo, with romance involved ;). They also try to avoid clichés.
“What is yours is mine and mine is yours. ”
A bittersweet love letter to friendship.
Love-triangle.
That is sure to make you shed a few tears.

One of the best chemistry of the leads in any Asia drama with a statisfying ending! Breathless romance and good comedy throughout!
Both shows:
1. Are parodies of their genre, as such the comedy takes precedence over everything else.
2. Despite the absurdity, there's a good and heartfelt plot at its core.
3. There's a lot of character growth from the main leads.
4. Main leads establish a balanced relationship, in which they bot learn and get something from each other (rather than one having all the power).
5. FLs kick as in their own way. They don't allow anything to stop them, always take the initiative and are pretty active.
6. MLs are soft guys with a tough exterior and they trust and rely on the FL.
8. FLs have a support group of friends.
9. Antagonists/villains are over the top and slightly on the cartoony side (which adds to the hilarity).
10. There's a love triangle in both series, with a SML pinning for the FL.

For me both the drama and the movie had the same vibes..
Maybe its the sadness to it, or the music and female singers
And both are set during the period of Japanese occupation of Korea
I would recommend to watch both of them

Both drama are slice of life. They both have leads who fall in love after a small dispute in the beginning. Both the leafs are so cute.
Both are about childhood love, friendship, problems . They both happen in the 90s for school period. The leafs are cute and swoon worthy. Slice of life dramas
Both films center about challenges/issues faced by those who engage in a May-December affair which is still considered a taboo at this day and age.
Similarity lies in the plot. If you like the theme of undying love and felt that 46-48 episodes is too long for you, then try this movie. Ex-EXO Kris Wu is the main lead, so the movie is very easy on the eye.
Head to YouTube, if you feel unsatisfied with the original movie ending.

age-gap with an older woman being in a position of power.
however, the love story is so pure.
I am thankful to both these dramas as they have livened up my boring life.
levels of excitement I have gotten from them is enough to sustain me for another year.
believe me, both are worth watching but require an open mind though. older woman/younger man is still an uncomfortable concept for many but if you can get past it, you will find two awesome shows

About an undying love of male leads. In this drama spans over 20 years. The chemistry between the two leads are so good.
I highly recommend both dramas for the hopeless romantic with penchant for happy endings.

Both movie tells the story of an older brother and a younger sister who is not fond of each other. The sisters' hate are more obvious. The brothers' are milder. :P
a bully/playful brother and a strong sister.

They have a very similar feel to both dramas. Both female wake up to find themselves in another world. Both FL seem to a pretty much the same personality ....
Both stories are about a girl being transported into another world.
The FL in My Disciple Died Once Again is transported into a game she designed
FL in Oh! My Emperor is about a girl who is transported into this alternate reality after getting into a accident
