Night Flight is just as brutal as Effect but it's a bit more nuanced where Effect is more guilty pleasure.

Haechi is about how twisted the political condition in Joseon Dynasty. On the other side, Six Flying Dragons consist of 50 episodes, from the journey how Goryeo Dynasty become Joseon till all the civil war that happen. Both are heavy historical political drama and have good actors.

Each one is a supernatural movie that is targeted towards a family audience. They have hints of horror in them and they both have interspecies romance. They're really funny too.

In both dramas the male lead is connected to the death of the fiance of the female lead. In FFI, the male lead has the dead fiance's heart, while in CFY, the male lead causes the death of the FL's fiance. FFI has more comedic scenes.

In both, the protagonists' families have been in an accident, and both have a fear of water. They are lonely girls who can hardly bear the rainy season.

Zhong Wu Yan is the modern version, the main actress's name is also Wu Yan. And she also has an ugly red mark on her face.

The Ugly Queen is the remake of the movie Zhong Wu Yen, it's the same storyline and same characters. Both drama and movie are light hearted and funny.
