These two dramas are seemingly quite different, but I think they have some themes in common, such as people working through various life issues and the characters trying to help each other through it. There's a theme of family here, in Kahogo no Kahako they are related by blood, but in Last Friends, the friends are like family. Last Friends is quite a bit darker in terms of the issues the characters deal with, but if you liked Kahogo no Kahoko, give Last Friends a try!
Both have awesome swordsman and fight scenes. One is about getting revenge and killing while the other is trying to make amends for past and refuses to kill. Both are awesome movies and have the same feel and character looks.
Both have lead with different personalitie, just that in Meloholic it's the female lead who have different personalities.
This might be far-fecthed similarity but both have characters working in the entertainment industry and I see something similar in Dokko Jin and Do Hyun's characters.
Lee Min Ki in both dramas as the main lead! Cannot unsee though that he plays a kind of reversed role in Because this is my first life as opposed to Dalja's spring; while he is the younger guy dating an older woman in the older drama, he is certainly Dalja in This is my first life, what with being an old spinster type of guy, counting his money and being all scrooge-y.
Both dramas are sweet and about two totally different people developing feelings for each other as they learn to depend on the other while living together, although Kimi wa petto is a bit more extreme with the conditions for tenancy ;)
Falling in love after getting married! Goong has a bit more tears and teenage drama while Because this is my first life is a bit more mature but innocent in a way as well, both are focusing mainly on the development of the main couple's relationship. Also, the main actresses look quite similar.
Both have a time travel theme where the main female character ends up in a time when there is a fierce power struggle for the throne.
Both female lead is a vampire who falls in love with a human male lead. Both show the vampire family members and friends (second male lead) of the female lead and in ICHY, the vampire clan has evolved that they no longer drink blood but gained energy through human contact. However in ICHY, the male lead is a germophobe (dislike human contact) and in OM, the male lead hates vampire.
Same writer and similar scenarios
Lee Jong Suk is also in it.
Instead of having dreams Lee Jong Suk can hear people's inner thoughts.
There is also a strong focus on the justice system.

If you like the complicated drama and big twist plot at the end, this is the drama. The genre is quite different obviously. Golden pouch is totally about family conflict, while Bad Thief, Good Thief is a bit political and revenge. Anyway the storyline is complicated and you have to think a lot regarding what will happen next.
The storyline is mainly about how their father deals with the children. Which is quite similar. Nice plot and it will keep you going. Super love for family dramaa!
Both dramas have protagonists who are cooks and have talent in cooking. While IRRLY has the female lead working in the President's kitchen, Sato's character is the emperor's cook in TNR. Certain scenes in TNR seem to be inspired by IRRLY, although it could simply be a coincidence.
Both a supernatural romance..One woman can see the future in her dreams the other can see how someone dies by touching the black shadow that follows that person. There is more but dont want to put in spoilers.
Similarities:
- main male lead is arrogant genius
- main female lead is in love and "stalk" the main lead
- main female lead doesn't have good grades at school, but is friendly and cheerful
- happy ending
- school theme
