Captivating fantasy romance beautifully directed ! Worth all the hype !

The second (and final) season of the latest fantasy series brought to Dramaland by the Hong sisters was worth the watch. The writers managed a successful landing for this highly anticipated show as this sequel reaps all the seeds that were planted in its parent series.

Storytelling wise, I found the change of the main actress pretty audacious and leading to some uncharted territories of pinning and angst regarding the romance between the 2 main leads. It was properly captivating to see the lovers interact with each other. The cast did a good job (especially some of the secondary characters which provided some great added-value to the story) and I will be curious to see their next projects.

The drama was also beautifully directed. The production value was amazing with a real artistry in terms of the way scenes were filmed and the choice of colours overall. The pastels of the costumes gave me all the feels and were really eye-catching. I also found the Visual FX satisfactory and some songs of the OSTs are still stuck in my heads because it was so good.

Pacing might have been slightly too slow in the middle and motivation/plan of the arch nemesis might have been better thought through but it was a very enjoyable and thrilling ride that made me go through a lot of emotions. The ending had me glued to my seat, anticipating for the worst and praying for the best.

I would recommend this (and the overall saga as a whole with its season 1) to people looking for a fantasy show with strong production value and in search of an epic romance.

I like this drama. Not a new story line it is same story line tht lot of dramas had. But characters made it this hit. Actually not characters it is beacoz of actors this drama is hit this much.. i say like it becz story has lot of silly jokes thtz why i said tht this is hit becoz of actors.. actually i must say write made ju kyungs family like a idiots. I really dont like tht there r lot of scenes tht are not jokes just lame things.. ju kyungs father ,sister, and brother in low thire characters are too much i dont know why writer did tht. It made whole drama drop. But so hoo, se jun, ju kyung, lee jin, and every students characters and actors acting are well written and well played.. becoz of them i love this drama but i can not give 10 stars to acting and story becoz of tht lame characters..

As for acting I think all of them are good actors even tht lame characters.. it is writers fault make them idiot way. Other than everyones acting r great.. 3 main leads i dont want tell about them they are out standing.. and ju kyungs lil brother is cute i like him too..

Overall good drama

First of all I want to tell you guys that this series is worth to watch!

As I watched the first episode I know that this series will be worth of my time and I was right. Got hooked already since the first episode, but we all know that every dramas has some flaws and should be criticized. First one was the story of the king and it's officials. It was too late for me to understand who's with who. Who are the ally and what are their motives. Next was the women from Muwoldan Corps who got injured in her leg. What really happened to her and why did she suddenly disappeared? There were no clear story of her sudden disappearance from the series. I can say that there where some parts of the story that was skip and remained unclear for me. As for the ending, one of the MOST SATISFYING ENDING so far.

Completely enamored (although frequently infuriated) while watching. Now but a distant memory.

(Music is 1 because I don't remember what the music was like. Rewatch is 1 because I don't rewatch dramas.)

I’m not really sure why this story decided to incorporate older actors for the grown up characters. It really lacked emotional punch.

I’m usually not one for high school romances. The story starts with a bumbling, cowering heroine.

The actors are great though. They really portray the feel and emotion of the characters beautifully.

It is also one hell of a cute romance.

It has all the tropes but it kind of worked.

The characters sometimes were very sensible and logical.

The beginning was cringey, the ending was a flop but the middle....the middle was GORGEOUS.

i found it really nice drama
may be not at the beginning
& i think it's a precedent did not happen before at any drama to begin to be really good at the ep 13
thats y they should reduce it just to be 14 or 15 ep. max
in spite of that u should give it a try

After many delays, I managed to finish all of the movies. All I can say is - finally!

It's a continuation and the last movie of the Mischievous Kiss The Movie trilogy. I had to finish it, despite the fact that there are no English subtitles for this movie yet after such a long time. The fact that I can understand only basic Japanese didn't stop me from watching this. The story - timeless, cheesy but classic, something that I've been familiar with ever since the original anime. I get why the directors wanted to create 3 separate movies - the plot is just too wide and there are many iconic scenes to be shown on screen. However, each movie progressed for the worse. This movie, out of all the three, was the most draggy, exhausting one to watch. It lacked some impact. Something should've been done with a boom. I probably got really tired of the whole cast. The most annoying character was the male lead and I strongly believe that it's not the character, but the main actor. In addition, the chemistry between the couple was completely lost in this movie. Why did I give a higher rating though? Well, it's a brilliant and nostalgic story that I grew up with. And it will always be in my suggestions.

Overall, this wasn't a bad movie, but it could've been way better. If you've watched the first 2 movies, go ahead and finish the trilogy with this one. However, if you're quite new to the Itazura na Kiss franchise, I'd strongly suggest watching the anime and the drama adaptations instead of this!

why is the rating lower than the 1st season?

well i think the 2nd season is a bit better than the first one..

i like the character development compared to the 1st season, even though it's not so drastic. the story isn't as toxic as the first one too.

MEW with his forehead exposed = daddy. GULF also looking extra cute here. Their fashion also improved by a lot!!

Seriously, their intimate scenes looks so natural with secondary actions such as hand gestures, eye movements, facial expression, everything.
I just hope they get to act in another series with MUCH BETTER PLOT because they're extremely talented, but it's ruined by the story of this series.

i just don't like the fact that there are too many side cp. plus, how did everyone become gay?? 2 gay cps r enough in one series, imo...
also it'd be nice if there are more woman characters w/o being the target of misogynism :/

1/10 overall everything was good but only this much.

Our ml is at peak of stupidity, and deserve Oscar of Idiots
Dude try to kill death , was hopeful that death would die
Why this man think death is a woman he can look down on ?
Our ml learn nothing in all those ep so why did you create all those just one last ep was all it takes.
In this whole drama what was amazing was ML will always insult FL even if she is Celestial being, and at end she will give him One life as reward for disrespecting her, as we know Korean woman love getting trample on. No matter what.
Most important thing ep1 showed was true reality of South korean Law system which is nothing more then a prostitute for Cheabols

Death is keep eye on ML but she did not see him setup camera and all those recording setup because they don't show viewers but as we know death only see what veiwers see...
Death is omnipresent being not a woman director did you forgot that ?

2 ep and our ML now can become Cop as he please become, now death is under his control ,,,
how death who was punishing him start favoring him, give him life of what he needed most at time
At end we even death fall in love with and they togeth killed Greatest Evil park Tea U, (she give him cop life) and protected her new lover DOOM
DOOMxDEATH best couple.

Nothing will beat this

I pretty much dislike every show I come across - but Reply 1988 was a top-tier, incredible drama. The stories were filled with laughter, food, togetherness, emotion, pranks, heartbreak, youth, resolution, soju, scolding, family, conflict, burning love, comedy, growth and more.

Every episode was like a valuable lesson. I watched this with my mother who grew up in a community very, very similar to the one on-screen and it was wonderfully nostalgic and relatable for her.

Because the plot revolved around multiple families, there was never a *truly* dull moment and many of those milked scenes I remember toughing through in Reply 1994, I didn't have to deal with here. Things were always happening and the characters were always thinking, speaking, reflecting, riding the waves.

The drama is not perfect and that's okay. There are certainly faults here and there - things you notice that don't make sense, like the different older actors or how certain people's stories felt incomplete by the time the show's last episode ends... but this is as close to a golden 10 as I think anything will get.

Reply 1997 was a great start. Reply 1994 did well for what it's worth. But Reply 1988 easily takes the cake for me.

i really enjoyed this drama so & i laughed much but i did not understand the end
the korean touch should enter to reverse the drama from comic to sad by any way do not know why ?
the end was soooo provoking although it was happy

SPOILER

what does it mean when someone loved me disappear for a year without any call or even texting me
then he came back telling me i was so busy to do that ..... really ???

& her elder sister where is her punishment for all she had done ??
the only weakness in this drama was the end
but every thing else was really nice

The best drama I've seen lately

Just watch it. It's a interesting plot. If you are like fantasy dramas. You should watch this. I really love this. This os the first time I do recommend a drama. This drama deserve a 10/10 rating.

Female lead is amazing. She is not a cheesy type girl. Male lead is so talented ofc. And rest of the cast nailed it. And the Ina-ya is such a talented girl. She is super cute.

Every episode ends with curiosity.

And the music is so good. I really really love this. This is perfect !

People always hype this drama up and rate this as one of their favorite BL's. So naturally my expectations were pretty high. I was pretty familiar with the story so nothing seemed very shoking to me. But thats not really the shows fault. i personally thought that the main conlict was very unnecessary. It is not Tian's responsibility to tell everyone that he got Torfuns heart and that she died. First of all is the fact that she died known to Phupa who shouldve been the one telling the village months ago. The fact that he has hidden her death even though the villagers ask about her all the time, is cruel on his side and for me that couldve been the conflict not the other way around. Now that Tian didnt tell people about his heart transplantation is also very understandable hence this is a personal and touchy topic. The fact that he only went to the village because of Torfun was more questionable than the heart transplantation. Anyway im very Khaotung biased so as soon as his character got introduced i was captivated. I do think that the plot got better as the story went on and all in all this was a solid BL, i think i just expected more from the amount of love it gets. Still on the better side so an easy 8/10

i loved the story. its new, different from that typical intelligent boy and dumb girl thing. they both were mature , smart and hard working. i loved watching yang yang in this mischievous boy role. he is different from that typical silent intelligent boy who talks to no one and every girl is crazy abt her. even the female lead very beautifully portrayed her character. yang yang is fierce and talkative according to his work and female lead is sophisticated and reserved as a doctor.....
