REPETITIVE... WASH,.RINSE, AND REPEAT

This show started off strong but I started to find the storyline a bit repetitive by episode 6.

So reading about the details of what this show is supposed to be about the Uncle, Joon Hyuk taking care of his sister and nephew in "hiding" but right up to episode 7, we deal with Uncle and family vs. the villains the "Momvelies". Basically a bunch of rich moms who own their own apartment units vs the renters like the Uncle's sister. So there's a war that goes back and forth between the rich mom group and the Uncle and family and of course, their young kids also hate each other and the young, rich kids are the typical bullies.

Now there's only so much I can watch with the dumb mom group being manipulative and a bunch of liars and the typical bullying and even when the Uncle gets the upper hand, somehow his side is either begging for forgiveness or his solution is to get the mom group to give back what they took away without really suffering any consequences for their lies and deceit. It's all too repetitive.

Now about the Uncle, of course, as he trying to make a comeback, something happens to derail his plans, EACH. AND. EVERY. TIME. On repeat...

After the Momvelies, finally comes the abusive, rich grandmother who plays the "new" villain. Of course, it's the same typical storyline of evil, rich in-laws thwarting and threatening everyone's happiness. Same ol', same ol'.

I'm a huge fan of Oh Jung Se, but I have yet to see how this show will tackle and focus on the Uncle finally perhaps making a serious comeback and to see whether or not this show will seriously address domestic violence and physical abuse.

(watched ep 10 as of writing)

A few months later... still haven't gone back to finish watching this after all.

TOUCH YOUR HEART,,,,At first I was a little bit confused why was the title name like that....Okay little did I know Oh Yun Seo had being called Oh Jin Sim (means sincere) I think that's why the title became like that...touch your heart can also be similar to sincere...from what i had been watching I just didn't like Yoo Yeo Reum I don't know but i feel like her acting in this drama is kind of a little suck! And Kim Se Won as the main character doesn't got enough of screenplay than his act as the main character..! I just like supporting character as they really show what they've got to really support the main character!! OH GOD! They were so extra in this drama ...I've been laughing too much because of the supporting actor/actress but not dying yet!
I just want to watch this drama because of the reunion between Lee Dong Wook And Yoo In Na (From Goblin)
they're were just too sweet in both drama.I can't wait to watch the next episode. But still literaly nervous of what going to happen in the next episodes as this story were kind like mystery yet thrilly...

Dropped........................

Looks like "Revolutionary Love" had more plot twists than an episode of a soap opera! I mean, three attempts and still couldn't get through it? That's some dedication right there. It's like ordering the same dish three times at a restaurant, hoping it'll taste better each time.

The protagonist's transformation sounds like it needed a bit more seasoning—maybe a sprinkle of authenticity or a dash of character development. Going from a privileged person to a "champion of the people" is like trying to turn a cupcake into a superhero without the right ingredients.

And a predictable love triangle? Come on, writers, throw in a curveball! It's like playing chess with someone who only knows how to move the pawns.

The pacing issues sound like a real workout for your patience. I can almost see you checking the time, hoping for a superhero to swoop in and save the day, or at least bring some excitement.

At least the cinematography and production quality were on point. It's like having a delicious-looking meal that unfortunately tastes like cardboard. Presentation matters, but so does the substance!

And those attempts at humor—forced jokes are like trying to tickle yourself. It just doesn't quite hit the mark. Maybe they needed a comedy consultant to spice things up.

In the end, it seems like "Revolutionary Love" missed the mark. If only they had added a pinch of direction, a dollop of character development, and a splash of unexpected twists, it could have been a feast for the eyes and the heart.

Better than any other BL I have watched

4 Minutes is really a cut above the BLs I have seen before. Indeed, as a casual BL fan, I never imagined I would create an account here and post a review. But here we are!

The show sets itself up quickly. Despite the synopsis, this is really the story of two hot, young rich brothers: Twinky 'Great' and hunky 'Korn'. The bros' lives are turned upside down almost immediately as the series starts. Korn, because he finds out his parents' business is not simply the respectable freight and shipping company it seems to be. Great, on the other hand, realises he can see exactly 4 minutes into the future. (Or can he?)

Now we are ready for the super-fun, dark, twisty and sexy romp to commence. What sets 4 Minutes apart is that it actually stands its ground as a very solid, if implausible (and the best ones are) crime thriller, part gritty, part glamorous. The characters' personalities make sense, and their decisions are believable, given the extraordinary situations they find themselves in. The pacing is, uniquely for a BL, suitably fast, even propulsive at times.

The acting, directing, editing and set design make your typical BL look like first-year drama school productions by comparison. The show also avoids some of the more irritating, common BL tropes. The bad guy goons are not universally incompetent, for example. (Though their masters still spend an inordinate amount of time drinking posh spirits.) The bottoms are not all wide-eyed virgins - they are even on PrEP and beg for it raw!

The supernatural element is also devised and deployed with great care, maturity and sophistication. Some have complained that some plot elements remain frustratingly vague and confusing. But, for me that works, because it serves to advance the ambiguity around the nature of Great's seemingly magical ability.

Lastly, the 'NC' - I still have no idea what that acronym stands for - scenes. Wow! These are sexy and hot, but not at all gratuitous. They serve the plot very well. My only gripe. they are edited in such a way that the tops appear to climax within a couple of minutes of penetration. That is not how it is supposed to work, lads!

We will have to wait and see whether the writers are able to bring all the various threads of 4 Minutes' plot together satisfactorily in the conclusion. But, even if they don't, the ride will have been worth it. I cannot wait for the next episode! Just watch this drama!

The first episodes were a breath of freesh air but it became boring predictable and full of clishes. I gave up around episode 20 with no intention to return. I just want to point out that for my first time i had a serious second lead syndrome. He was a jerk don't get me wrong but the actor was very good and the ML was a paper thin character. And now i must add more words to this review to publish. On a very personal level i was annoyed by the FL preference of wearing heels. Most of the time were short ones but she wore high heels in at least one scene. I get it it was a comic world but not once she complained about this ''set up'' of her character.

My only problem...

It's a well produced series, very good. I just don't like how forceful Judah is towards Rocky in regards to his feelings. Judah is very annoying, and very inconsiderate and selfish. I couldn't force myself to watch the rest because I can't stand his character. This is just a personal opinion, many people loved this series and I respect that, but personally I couldn't continue it because of Judah. Otherwise though, the acting is believable, it's a very interesting story line and represents the struggles of gay people very well. I'm sure many of them can relate to either character so it's quite an emotional drama if you're invested enough in it. Unfortunately I wasn't, but that's just me.
In regards to the music, It's not very memorable but it is fitting to the drama.
Rewatch value: even if I'd have finished it, it's not a drama I'd rewatch, not just because of the character but because it's not very memorable, and doesn't flow as smoothly as many other dramas I've watched.

Chemistry

Im absolutely in love with this drama! I just wish I could speak korean. I only know so much and i know the subtitles dont align with what they are saying. Anyways the chemistry is out of this world. I hope you all do right by Ji-hyuk ❤️ he deserves his happy ending too! I have always be a fan of Min-young but shes blow it out of the water with this drama. Her and In-woo just makes my heart flutter lol the casting was done perfectly!! I hope these two get their happy ending!! I cant wait to watch the rest of this drama! The waiting is killer!!

I have watched 10 episodes and the main male lead...the ghost agent...is heartless. He uses women and then moves on without a second thought. He really pisses me off. I cried with Do Ha...ugh I can't handle it. I don't blame her for wanting a gun. Lots of action . Great side stories. You won't get bored! The guy who plays an actor/action hero is really good. You can't help but like him. I will keep watching even though I detest the cold hearted agent.

I have watched him toss two women aside...how many more?

I gave up on it. Honestly, Taevin's acting is the only thing I liked. The drama feels low budget and super cliché. People said it gets better in the final episodes, but I’m not interested enough to keep watching. Chun Sang Won’s character is just too cringe for me, and the story moves so slowly. I dropped it at episode 5, even though there were only 3 episodes left. I just don’t have the motivation to finish it. It was too boring to keep going.

The story to this drama started off with quite a bit of potential but as it unfolded I found myself liking it less and less. Mainly due to the way the FL went about dealing with her family situation. It just seemed very unrealistic that at her age and after seeing her father with someone else in an obvious romantic encounter, that she would still do all that she did to basically force her family back together again. Not only that but the FL’s personality was hard for me to get behind. Her mannerisms and over the top actions just made me really distracted as I was watching this drama, which ended up making me drop it. I’ve seen Irene in the drama Flavor it’s yours, which I did finish but only because I Fast forwarded A LOT. I’d say both characters are pretty similar so she must be drawn to this type of Tom boyish character but the way she portrays them just seems a bit over the top to me. I’ve seen other drama’s with similar types of characters like in Skate into love but I really loved that drama and the main female lead. I guess me and this actress just aren’t vibing, so I’ll probably not watch another of her dramas. Overall i think it’s an okay watch.

On the fence

Cafe Minamdang intrigued me for two reasons: 1. The plot and 2. Seo In Guk.

I've sat through some questionable dramas during my time simply because of an actor I liked. I always have a principle of watching at least three episodes before giving up on the drama.

Cafe minamdang started okay and progressively became an effort to watch. When a drama becomes something you watch just for the background noise, it's better to drop it. However, since this drama has recently started and has one of my favorite actors, I've put it on hold and will decide whether to pick it up or drop it entirely once it has finished airing.

That being said, the plot had a lot of potential, and I think most of the drawback lies in the female lead. Many viewers have dropped the drama because she has a very dislikable presence on the screen, which isn't suitable for any drama. Additionally, there is little to no chemistry between her and Seo in guk. I have watched his dramas, and he's always been able to convey sizzling scenes when it was needed. If the drama is to survive, something needs to be done about the female detective.

It doesn't help that it is airing around the same time as two trending dramas: AoS and Attorney Woo. For people who don't have enough time to catch up with airing dramas and have to choose, Cafe minamdang would not make the cut. It promises flair but falls short severely.

Nonetheless, I hope it succeeds through some miracle. I'd recommend waiting and observing how well it does on air and then deciding whether to watch it.

Not For Me But...

I'm dropping the series mostly because even up through episode 8, the action aspect of the plot never picked up pace. And personally really dislike the typical romance stories with overly innocent and useless women. What's worse is the rest of the other women so far have been portrayed as either being just as useless, full of drama, evil, and/or manipulative. This is very typical of the old-school ideal of Asian romance and couple portrayal. Poor woman/rich man, innocent and sweet woman/powerful and misunderstood man, attached with unrealistically cute voices that belong to girls who haven't gone through puberty.

But for those who love these types of sappy stories, I can see why this one is on the higher-rated end and would definitely recommend. Personally I was putting up with the heavy romance scenes for while hoping the action and backstories would pick up at some point but it's been a slow burn.

Obsessed

It been a long time since a cdrama has intrigued me as much as this one. I’m only up to ep 8 and I’m hooked. Normally by now I’ve predicted the end but I certainly haven’t yet. I in fact have no idea what to expect other than the normal cliches like evil queen evil Mum queen evil second in-line for the thrown not yet evil brother etc. The female lead is so cute and the male lead is so devoted to her. I only hope it continues the way it is and doesn’t take a drastic turn towards to much nastiness. Currently it is cute and fun with a twist of evil and I want it to stay that way. Evil does not have to take over the drama for it to be an awesome watch.

Dropping the series

I came for Simon Gong but leaving because of Lu Fang Ning. I really want to enjoy this series, my sister enjoyed it so much because the FL was a strong independent woman. She gets want she wants. I was really expecting more but halfway through I find her action wasn’t one of an independent woman but rather it a childish, spoiled girl.

I'm at a point where I'm debating if I want to keep the series on hold or if it should be dropped. I love Simon Gong, have since Word of Honor, but even his charming smile and good looks won't save me from watching this. I'm planning to drop this.
