Leave much to be desired

I have a high expectation with this series since this was created by Korean producer, but this series let me down so bad. I am still glad to watch it as I discover how great Choi Jae Hyun is. I hope he get many projects after this.

Let me break down my review, beware it's long:

[STORY]
While the plot seems unique for BL, the love between supernatural being and mortal is nothing new and has been adapted in many movies and dramas. The supernatural elements in this series was not well executed and there were many glaring plot holes that made me lose focus on the story line. The ghost element was only used as plot device but the screenwriter was too lazy to construct the characterisation of the ghost itself. While fantasy drama did have more freedom for illogical things to happen, a set of boundaries and rules should be established in the realm to guide the viewers about the said fantasy element. And this series simply doesn't a give a shit about this and expect the viewers to accept many questionable things happen and pretend that was okay.

The most annoying plot holes here was no clear concept on how the ghost element implemented in real world. How is it possible that no one bat an eye with all the ghosts' shenanigans? Anyone should freak out when utensils float in the air or luge drive by itself, yet no bystander say a word about it. Peach was not even subtle when talking and showing PDA with Yoon Oh, yet no one questioned his sanity. It seems humans have well adjusted to cohabit together with ghost lol. This series never explained how the ghost's world works. the ghost literally can use and touch any solid object, like use utensils for eating, change clothes, keep the key, use facial mask for better skin, ride a luge. the ghost behave exactly like human and we are supposed to just take it in without any explanation. and if they don't have any problem to use and touch solid objects, they should be able to touch and communicate with other human, but nah

It was also not clear how the ghost cease to exist. Mario said that ghosts should resolve their sorrow before the 49th day so they can go to the other side and not become evil spirit. Yet Mario has been exist for 20+ years and neither Peach nor Yoon Oh question this anomaly ever lmao. Even after Mario found his peace, he was still around. Like how?? Why he can't go to the other side?

Finally, what's with that ending? At last, I am content that Yoon Oh can go to the better place. It is happy ending in my book, everyone getting their own peace and amend. But suddenly they have to ruin it by making it vague that Yoon Oh might be back. Like, what's the point? I thought I won't be disappointed in the last ep, and yet here we are.

[ACTING]
Yoon Oh and his mom are hand down the best part of this series. Their acting is so good and I like how their eyes can convey deep emotion as well. I feel like their talents kinda wasted here as I found the story a mess. I would rate 10.0 for them, but unfortunately Jimmy's acting was like a sore thumb. His acting was awkward and since he is the main character, it kinda ruined the moment.

[MUSIC]
The song choices are good but not really memorable.

[REWATCH VALUE]
This series managed to peeve me every episodes, so nope. I might rewatch YO's cuts only to appreciate his acting.

[OVERALL]
Might be enjoyable if u don't really care about the details. This series was beautiful if it was watched scene by scene, but there were just too many plot holes too ignore and the ending pissed me off.

Story: First of, the ending was perfect for me. It was totally unexpected because by the 2nd last episode, there were still a lot of questions left unanswered. Despite of that, this drama was able to wrapped it all by its ending, adding another point for me. Indeed, Faith is a key to this drama. One should be patient enough for all the mysteries to uncover for it incorporates a lot of genre. Faith isn't perfect though; as a viewer, I observed a lot of potential aspects that if could have been taken care of well, will make this drama better.

Though it wasn't the best, for the time-travelling theme, it will be my top choice. I love the twist the writer did in the said theme. I also like that from the usual use of Joseon period from sageuks, this one picked another part of Korean History to learn something to, which was the Goryeo period. The storyline had a little of almost everything; romance, action, political conflicts, camarederie of a group and even comedic scenes that when I looked back, I realized I wasn't really bored watching it. As much as I loved the endearing story of Royal couple, I find the the story of the main couple more memorable. Their romance wasn't just love transcending time; theirs was more on belief that when love is there, it can withstand the test of time. Since the ending was of my intense liking, of course, it's happy!

Cast/Acting: The casts were all great. Lee Min Ho's acting was getting better by every drama he played in. He captured the right emotions for the scenes needed for it. From the start, I loved the character of Kim Hee Sun. She had such a fun personality that for me, she lights up the mood for the show. Ki Chul's obsession was so strong that I pitied him in the end. I love all the Woodalchi's and the sidekicks of Choi Young, they had such a special camaraderie among themselves.

Music: Ali's Carry On was my new favorite OST. It's perfect for the romantic scenes. For me this drama was one of those which had great soundtracks, almost all the songs did captivate my ears.

Rewatch Value: For me whose not fond of rewatching, it's worth a one-time watch. As a fan of Lee Min Ho, it's likely that I'll rewatch this one, maybe after a year, when I miss him,.lol

Overall : A time-travel drama I enjoyed watching in its own pace. I haven't heard another time-travel drama so if this one will be the last this year, what a great way to end that theme with Faith! I'll surely miss this one. It's a drama worth spending your time.

This drama started out strong, but fell apart towards the latter half.

Story: I've skimmed through a large majority of the book, so I know where the general plot is heading. I absolutely adore the novel so far; it's very well written and I personally feel that the drama has adapted mildly okay. I watch the episodes the day they air and as soon as they are uploaded because I'm super addicted to the story and can't wait to see what happens next. However, they started to focus a lot on the side characters especially towards the end, and then.........that ending LOL

Acting/Cast: Everyone's acting is on point!! I honestly watched this just for Zhao Liying but throughout these episodes I have started to grown fond for the other actors/actresses and their acting skills. Everyone's on point, even the minor characters!

Music: I personally feel that Chinese historical dramas have some of the best OST and music there is, however, this drama's OST pales a bit in comparison to other historical drama OSTs I have liked in the past. I personally love the opening and ending theme songs, as well as Yan Xun's theme song and some other instrumentals. Not too bad, and quite fitting.

Rewatch Value:
There are a lot of scenes that were quite memorable, such as Chu Qiao's long speech with Zhong Yu, Yan Xun's family's massacre, and a couple others. I would definitely rewatch my favorite scenes, but not the entire drama.

Overall:
A decent watch with a story that fell short. I really love Zhao Liying though, so I think it was still enjoyable.

Each Chapter, a Bedtime Story

This show is slow paced. It moves so slowly that its pace is an integral part of what makes When the Weather Is Fine itself. It's very serene, and beautiful. Please don't come here, complain that nothing happens, and say it's boring. It's like looking for fresh salad in the canned goods section; you're looking for the wrong thing in the wrong place.

Now we've realigned your expectations, let's get into what makes When the Weather is Fine so charming.
I'm sure many have heard of the term slice-of-life, but as it's less of a common genre in dramas I'll brush over it. As the name implies, the genre explores the everyday lives our characters experience. These shows are often quiet, relaxing, and nostalgic. They treasure the mundane moments that make us smile, and focus more on developing characters than plots (although that isn't to say there never is one). This is what makes them so slow, because unlike other genres, which cut the fluff to move on to the next exciting thing, here, the fluff is the story. Now, before you think "well that sounds naff, I'm out of here" please don't think that you get nothing in exchange for the usual mix of tension and excitement. The time you spend getting to know characters intimately in their quiet and average moments, allows them to burrow deep into your heart before you realise it. There is a great sense of sincerity to be found in good slice-of-life. When the Weather is Fine is just that.
For those of you who watch other foreign media, this show may remind you of independent European films in its approach, the long silences that allow you to breathe. It's as cathartic as listening to waves on the shore, and just as relaxing. I fully invite you to fall asleep to this show after a long day. You'll have peaceful dreams, I'm sure.

However there is an intriguing story in here too, so if you do take up that offer, be sure to re-watch the parts you missed. Rather than a story, perhaps I should say a series of events, that unwinds and unravels the past to allow the characters to move on in the present, and gradually builds as the series progresses. (You've probably heard of that apparently disposable thing called character development, even if you don't see it as often as you might. Well, now you have a village's worth of it.) It gives the show a great sense of healing, and this is also where that catharsis really comes in.
Aside from the changes in the characters lives, spanning the course of the series, each episode is named after a short story, or poem, initially told to us by the good night book club. What makes this special, is how the characters receive these stories, use them to reflect on their own situation, and return them to us with a personal meaning. It makes you consider the different feelings they might bring to different people, but at the same time it's as though you are receiving a precious secret, a part of their heart, and then again like you are part of the book club, sharing snacks and jokes. It makes you care for the characters differently when things happen to them, because they feel like real people you've spent time with.

If you're looking for something to put you on the edge of your seat, this is not it. But if you're looking for something to wind down with, something to heal your soul or warm your heart, then this is quality content. Cosy up with your hot chocolate and blankets, and to all dear readers, I wish you a very, very good night.

My first game drama..

This is my first drama which is based on game, and I am more than happy that I started watching this one...
I do not want to talk about story because there are many mysteries which are still unsolved...
But I want to clarify that our leads are not real siblings they just share the common surname..

Oats of this drama are very emotional ND very pleasant to ears...
Production of the drama is also very high quality ..set, costume , CGI are all top notch ...this time tencent has spent a lot of money on this drama...
If there is no restriction from government they will highly promote this drama and this drama break all the heat indexes and many more records ...
Must watch drama from tencent...

I adore school setting dramas, and those that take the characters onward into young adult life.
The melo pacing of this drama is a consistent theme throughout but after the first 6 episodes you get used to it. Sadly the majority of the plot is mix of repeated sad and devastating occurrences for all the characters, no one escapes. And it really can make you frustrated when nothing good happens for your favourite characters. The ending was left open, and after 46 episodes it did not have a satisfying end for the main leads. The cast is strong, and with really good performances. But because there felt like a lack of closure not only for the leads but some side characters also, I could only hope there will be a drama special for it. But if not, I would not recommend this drama for romance fans.

One of the best drama I've ever watched

Of course I don't watch every dramas that are airing(I don't have enough time and probably this is my last drama this year ), but this one is really great, I just can relate having first crush .... getting butterflies and many things with sang zhi ,
I started watching it after a long exhausting week......it's really refreshing and energetic you'll smile without noticing through the entire series..... I've never finished any cdrama (except "who rules the world") specially xinxia or modern cdramas always get boring after 11-12th episodes
As a hardcore kdrama fan I don't like most of the silly cdramas, I got into it cause of lusi and for a dopamine boost and it's worth watching ..............I'm surprised how I didn't skip a single second!!!!!!
Chen zheyuan and Zhao lusis chemistry is now my favourite....... can't get enough of the series......it will make you curl like worm ........soo much cute and a mature relationship at the same time.......

For the haters who are saying that the ml is pervert then let me tell you, we're seeing this story from sang zhi's perspective so it's normal to fantasize the normal things when your crush do this.....
Don't listen to the haters just go for this masterpiece

A MASTERPIECE

The first half or the Season 1 of LYF has ended and god knows when will the other half be released.
The last drama historical drama that I loved was love like the Galaxy after that I'm extremely In Love With This drama.
Whether you talk about the Main Plot, Character Story, OSTs Action scene or CGI is everything just remarkable
As for me 1st episode was a bit boring but provided the background story of the main leads and from the 2nd episode onward the drama started to get quite interesting and slowly it captive me and left me wanting more and more... Sadly it has ended... waiting for S2.
Reverse harem is one of my favourite genres if done right and here all the boys are very well-versed in their field, Everyone has picked a side of their favourite ML but whoever I pick I always feel bad for others, we only have 1 Xiaoyao how am I supposed to divide her into 3 boys TT TT
.
Yang Zi as Xiaoyao & Wen Xiaoliu: She has always been an amazing actress but the way she has played these 2 characters I don't think anyone else could have, She has given heart and soul to her both characters. As Wen XiaoLiu; she immersed herself into a perfect middle-aged man (and I can never forget her walk as WXL) and the transformation of her 2 characters was very good even though she turned into a girl she still had that little boyishness in her.
Xiaoyao; an identity she had left many years ago due to abandonment by her mother & father. She lived her life for herself and was always cautious of her surroundings and never relied on others, and the only life she ever wanted was to be with someone whose first choice will always be her, someone who will never abandon her.
.
Wan Yi as Cang Xuan: WANYI, it's the first time I have seen him Act and I'm too Impressed cause his character Cang Xuan has suffered so much in past and lost every person dear to him, all these scars have left him with great ambition to conquer the world and get a life where he can protect his younger sister (cousin sister) the only family he has left. To me, his character is too pitiful and yet at the same time he is an exploiter using his scheming mind to make good use of every person around him.
I sympathise with him to the point then I'm like no boy don't do this you will regret it. eg; Jing has been helping him with so many things behind the curtain and still I feel he is ungrateful to him, I know Xiaoyao means the world to him yet when he wants he asks her to go meet with Jing and Fenglong, then become possessive of her being to close to them, if only he could let go of his ambition them he could have been the one she loved but sadly he didn't. Wanyi, he showed all these emotions so brilliantly that I love him as much as I hate him. :(
.
Deng Wei as Ye ShiQi & Tushan Jing: Jing Met Xiaoyao at the time when he was going through the same things which Xiaoyao went through Years ago or maybe worse, he was extremely tortured, humiliated and then kicked out by his brother. Jing was near death when Xiaoyao picked him and gave him a new life and purpose as Shiqi. Although he once was a famous Tushan family heir, Now all he wanted was to accompany the person who gave him a 2nd chance at life.
He desired to be with Xiaoyao because he knew fame glory wealth is of no use if you can't be with one person you love.
Dengwei whether as jing or as shiqi was always pleasing to the eyes and ears (although his voice was dubbed :P). Despite his suffering, he remained a kind-hearted gentleman and the person Xiaoyao loved because for him Xiaoyao is always no.1, he would rather than live without her. TT TT
.
Jian Ci as Xiangliu & Fang Feng Bei: Before this, I knew Jiaci as a singer and Funny Tan'ge in variety shows, seeing him act for the first time I was star struck, Xiang Liu from the start was a difficult character to play, and he perfectly played that cold nine-headed demon Aura (Superb Acting). Despite all of his actions I love him to the core and is my favourite character from the series. He played 2 different characters which showed his dynamic acting skill as well as those actions as General XiangLiu (just WOW), I think if only he showed A Little more interest in XiaoYao or Expressed His Feeling in a Better Way H could end up with her, but that's what his personality/character is all about being a *silent lover*. I read a comment where someone expressed he should have a maid beside him who could express his sacrifice and feelings to Xiaoyao but sadly there was no one to do so... Xiaoyao always saw them being just a Business, him using her for blood or helping her in exchange of something :(...
.
bonus; The writer has always shown the "What could have been" perspective of the drama by giving the main characters an alter ego:
Xiao Yao and Wen XiaoLiu
Cang Xuan and Xuan
Tushan Jing and Ye Shiqi
Xiang Liu and Fang Feng Bei
.
Yangzi And her chemistry with all Her Co-star 10/10
All the actor played their character so well that their emotions and their dialogue delivery are top class 10/10
I bet whoever is gonna watch it is going to love the drama. INDEED A MASTERPIECE
soo much excited for season 2, hope it airs soon or ill die of curiosity... TT TT TT TT

One of The Best

This is one of the best BL in 2022 and the back years.
Of course i love story, the acting and the sound tracks.
This change my mode in watching school themes BL.
Im not into BL with non school theme, but this I'm really into it. Worth of watching, more than Disney or Fairytale.
The drama is so touching, and very painful when the couple are in pain.
I also love the bromance of Tian and Yang.

Congrats to the cast
Very worth watching and recommended.

Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it and will missed the cast. Hope to see them in new BL Projects

A Decadent Rom-Com…

Reminiscent of the bygone era of early 2000s Shoujo ( aimed traditionally at young girls) and Josei ( typically targeted at an audience demographic of older teens and young women) manga setups as well as being based upon the eponymous manga , ‘Tsumari Suki tte iitai n Dakedo’ ( alternatively known as ‘ つまり好きって言いたいんだけど’, or ‘ I Mean, I Want To Say I Like It’ ) tells the seemingly “ unusual” love story between Saejima Chitose ( Ohara Sakurako) and Fujishiro Sena ( Sakurai Kaito). A former teacher-turned manager at a small entertainment company, Chitose’s new position turns into a hellish experience when she’s assigned to be manager to Fujishiro Sena; a haughty playboy actor who also happens to be her childhood bully.

However with a streak of reimbursed and outdated cliches and tropes being inserted into a seemingly decent love story, this does leave Japanese-drama enthusiasts with one burning question ; “ Is ‘Tsumari Suki tte iitai n Dakedo’ ‘s drama-adaptation poorly executed for a modern audience or is it actually worth watching?”

Perhaps one of the greatest things to clear up about ‘ Tsumari Suki tte iitai n Dakedo’ is that it isn’t an inherently over-stimulating drama for your brain . Of course this isn’t to drag down the series entirely based upon this setup alone. “ Fluff” dramas can act as an ideal form of escapism for viewers always from the bogged-down details of reality and fill viewers’ with an uplifting aftertaste. However it should be noted that whilst ‘ Tsumari Suki tte iitai n Dakedo’ often crossed over into more melodramatic plot moments, the drama often reached a cataclysmic standstill upon actually trying to execute these storyline scenes onscreen- generic cliches and setups propping up plot where character-driven moments should’ve been became more prominent even after the first episode , and characters who were initially introduced with strong plot motivation and drive soon felt shoehorned into scenarios which made little coherent sense in regards to their character archetypes overall.

The epitome of this poorly-executed screenwriting was particularly present within main female lead Saejima Chitose. By default Chitose had arguably all the potentially good traits of a well-written character; headstrong with her values (due to the incident in her past with the main lead ), possessing a heart of gold and presenting idiosyncratic mannerisms and qualities which immediately attract people towards her. Yet rather than seeing opportunities for Chitose to become a definitive presence in the series and power through her own personal struggles , the female lead’s greatest downfall was that she rarely had definitive character drive.( Not least of all her initial causes for her jobs, her experiences in relationships- romantic and platonic- in later life and whether her experiences from her early childhood had a traumatic or knock-on effect with these relationships were never explored.) ‘ Tsumari Suki tte iitai n Dakedo’ often seemed to portray Chitose somewhere between the scapegoat for getting into misunderstandings upon “ her behalf” as well as a carte blanche female lead; happily “ forgiving ” her childhood tormentor Fujishiro Sena ( without a coherent reason aside from enforcing their questionable romantic relationship ). However in between staidly keeping her mouth shut or blowing up in order to keep the plot “ tense”, Chitose’s experiences were often downgraded towards merely being a “ Mc Guffin”; a wasted opportunity to explore her ambivalent feelings and sentience in-depth as her character’s persona was reduced to the equivalent of a doormat for other characters to walk upon and maltreat.

Many overt golden opportunities for character growth and relationships were often tossed aside in ‘ Tsumari Suki tte iitai n Dakedo’ and none so was this more for the onscreen role and presence of main male lead Fujishiro Sena.

As the childhood “tormentor” of Chitose and now an aspiring actor with an aloof and haughty attitude, Sena was evidently never supposed to be viewed by audiences initially as a “ likeable” main lead. Yet where dramatic irony became prominent was that when it attempted to “ redeem” its “ unlikeable” characters for viewers, ‘ Tsumari Suki tte iitai n Dakedo’ generated more indecisive feelings amongst its audience demographic. Fujishiro Sena was always supposed to play the role of Chitose’s foil throughout the series; whilst Chitose is sweet and slightly naive , Fujishiro is slightly jaded and arrogant. Yet when the open opportunity arose to present Fujishiro in more “ heroic” light the series attempted to go down the route of Fujishiro Sena seemingly been “ pitied” and “misunderstood” by others. ( Without truly delving into any true raison d’êtres for Fujishiro wanting to become an actor or hints into how others perceived him through his past relationships - aside from some of his lovers.) Naturally whilst this did present some differing ideologies between our main characters ( which were never explored also), the drama seemed unaware of its initial presentation of Fujishiro Sena often as a manipulative and downgrading bully even in Chitose’s adult-life - instead attempting to write off these moments as merely “ comical” rather than allowing these to remain an open topic of discussion and truly allow Fujishiro Sena to redeem himself not through the lens of ineffective “ pity”, but maturity and reconciliation .

Consequently the onscreen “ romantic” relationship between Chitose and Fujishiro Sena remained openly crushed under the weight of shoehorning both main leads into an enforced setup where neither lead could truly free themselves from the heavy burden of their shared past, as well as maturely and openly talk about their problems. ( Aside from then permitting an ensue of “ romantic cliches”, misunderstandings and “ plot tension” through heated arguments- leading to an leading to an awkwardly uncomfortable romantic onscreen relationship which presented neither comfort and joy for viewers, or well-written chemistry between our leads.
)Additionally there’s also the side characters of the series; generically fading into the background after their initial introduction in most episodes, and only truly remaining present during a moment of “ tension” or “ plot drive” in order to attempt to keep the plot engaging with audiences.

Another issue which had admittedly divided audiences surrounds the chosen-cast; some may love main leads
Sakurako and Sakurai Koto‘s nearly-farcical onscreen roles and perceive this as irony , whilst some may be turned-off by poor dialogue exchanges and over-the-top acting leading to some choppy scenes for viewers to attempt to get through. Then there’s the cinematography and chosen OST of the series . Rather than using interwoven mise en-scènes in order to explore the emotions and world-building of ‘ Tsumari Suki tte iitai n Dakedo’, the drama was staidly placed on a pedal stool of insipid and forgettable songs alongside long-shot and singular camera shots which did little to truly promote viewers’ intrigue.

So what’s left to say about ‘ Tsumari Suki tte iitai n Dakedo’ and is it actually worth watching ? ‘ Tsumari Suki tte iitai n Dakedo’ was undeniably lighthearted. Whilst it attempted to offer an ultimatum of “ fluff” and melodrama throughout the story, it often found itself struggle to to subvert itself from unoriginal writing tropes and pitfalls and consequently characters often felt misplaced against scenarios and scenes . The ending was enough to bring events to a close but lacking in surprise by the delivered result.Overall ‘ Tsumari Suki tte iitai n Dakedo’ was not an inherently terrible with a sweet premise and concept which is easy enough to binge-watch . However the drama rarely facilitated golden opportunities to escaping its initial status quo reputation by lacklustre writing decisions and directing techniques leaving the drama with forgettable moments and many loose ends.

This drama was so highly recommended by so many people that I finally decided to watch it. I really wanted to fall in love with "My Girl", but It eventually became frustrating to sit through. It took a few episodes for it to grow on me, and I loved the rom-com fueled middle episodes, but I was unimpressed with the final episodes. As a whole, It just failed to leave a strong impression with me. It wasn't great, or terrible. In my opinion it was just mediocre.

I liked the idea of the main character being a good natured con-woman, but I often found Joo Yoo Rin's actions to be really annoying. Lee Da Hae did a great job, even though sometimes she was a bit over the top. She was a good match for calm, and by the book, Lee Dong Wook. I already loved him in 'Scent of a Woman', so I was glad to see him in something else. What I loved most about this drama was their chemistry, and how they began to rub off on each other. I can't say the same about the two supporting leads.

Fans may disagree, but I didn't like Park Si Yeon's performance at all. Not only did her character's actions piss me off, but she just kept making the same expressions over & over again. It wasn't even fun to hate her. She's the main reason my acting score is so low.

Lee Jun Ki's acting was decent, but his character made no sense. He goes from being a mischievous womanizer (though he was a little too girly to make me believe that), to being pathetically obsessed with one girl. It was as if liking Yoo Rin was the equivalent of a lobotomy. I initially liked his character, but by the end his character was no fun at all.

I did like many of the minor characters, and it's always fun to see Ahn Suk Hwan in yet another drama. He & Choi Ran are also in the Hong Sister's latest drama "Big", which I was watching at the same time as this. I liked their romantic storyline, it was cheesy, but cute.

I would call myself a Hong Sisters fan, but I am not a real fan of their first two dramas. This drama relied on so many rom-com clichés, and contrived plot devices. There were some cute funny moments (the accidental kiss), but I didn't find it hilarious, and I think they sometimes relied on too many parodies. Watching all the character "near misses" was starting to drive me crazy, and not in an exciting way. Eventually, almost every character annoyed me, or pissed me off, towards the end. I don't mind a predictable story, but the conflicts became too repetitive, and the characters were too frustratingly stubborn for my taste. I also didn't cry once, I just scowled at the screen. I did like the end scene though. It was a cute surprise.

Perhaps if this were my first drama, my experience would have been different. I think there are so many better rom-com dramas out now, plus this one feels a little too dated (The clothes, the music, the obvious product placements...). The Hong sisters have also gotten much better since then. Overall It was an acceptable rom-com, but I wouldn't recommend it, or rewatch it.

* Sorry fans, I'm just being honest : ) *

As another reviwer had already stated, this show tried to be too much. Though I did enjoy the first couple of episodes quite a lot, the second half of the series just seemed to he quite a drag, and at times I found myself quite irritated at certain episodes, so much so I decided to just skip through each episode to find the satisfaction that I had from the first half of the series.

Seriously though, you have a plot that appears to be solid when in reality it was actually very flawed. Majority of the characters ended up just being annoying. Basically, the whole premise of the show was terrible in my opinion. Here you have a psychopath who ends up abducting girls with the reason being that he was a fan of play, then you have a bunch of stupid police who cant keep up with the criminal; constantly making mistake after mistake. The girls being abducted are done so (not coincidentally) IN THE SAME AREA, though nothing special has been done to prevent further crimes and so more abductions occur. Then you see a seemingly rebellious Gook Doo who, even after being told not to do certain stuff, does so anyway (spoiler) and apparently he just isnt resilient enough, loses his objective at hand, BECAUSE, fFS, if you notice THE AMOUNT OF TIMES that sOooOOO MANY people have looked into the junkyard to no avail, omg, that irritated me soooo much, lile, if you're going to be a rebellious cop for the good of the town atleast be thorough with it and don't do a half assed job.

Moving onto Bong Soons mother... wow... at the beginning I did see how her attitude towards her husband was an attempt to be comical, then after a while it was just plain abuse, wtf xD, it was legitimately only an abuisive relationship; it was funny the first time, but when that sort of irrelevant thing is included into a show, not only does it get irritating from being repetitive, it actually is worrying ahaha.

I fail to understand the hype over this drama; granted, the cutesy relationship between AMH and DBS was worth watching, but Ifeel like people overlooked the fact that the plot was terrible

" Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryu " started strongly, but lacked intensity.

The main character was interesting, first of all, and probably the highlight of the drama. Her story was entertaining and original, until they added that cliche twist in the end. The romance was kind of weak too, as the two didn't have much chemistry and the love story didn't have a smooth pace. They just had a moment and that was it? Still, this was Eun woo's best performance to date. He was confident and he handled the dramatic scenes better than his other drama's. The other performances were good too.

So, overall, six out of ten, because the drama got boring and predictable.

I started this drama casually without much expectations and as I was more episodes, I started loving it and felt like this is the one, one of the best drama I have ever seen. But towards the end, it all went downhill. Ending episodes ruined it all. I have never dropped a drama but this one urged my like nothing else. Sa Bin is a perfect example of clownery. I would definitely not recommend anyone to watch this trash. Honestly, I am so fed up and I have never seen such nonsense in my life. And to all the peple who are saying "THIS IS UNLIKE OTHER TYPICAL CLICHÉ ROMANTIC DRAMAS AND HAS A REALISTIC ENDING". First of all, the ending doesn't even make any sense like ffs. Just because Ji Chul had an unrequited love and Hyung Bin was happy with his lover before their deaths doesn't mean any injustice was done with Ji Chul or Hyung Bin needed to suffer. Also, they romanticized the stalking. Stalking ain't even funny fr. All the cast members did an excellent job with their acting but it was an injustice for them to be assigned to this kind of clownery.

P.S.- I am not experienced in writing reviews, this was my first one. I wrote this because I have never felt this bad about a drama before.
