I was shocked that the murderer turned out to be Yinlou’s father! I definitely didn’t see that coming. And the Empress just stabbed herself in the heart with a hairpin simply because Xiao Duo didn’t believe her?! She is so dramatic! Good riddance, lady! You won't be missed. Also, seeing Eunuch Sun become more and more uneasy around the Emperor is such a rewarding sight. He contributed a lot to turning the Emperor into the monster he is now, so if anything happens, he only has himself to thank. And the best moment of this episode? Definitely, Tongyun and Cao Chun'ang's "forced" marriage, and her confession of her feelings!

I guess this Demon Fox plot was something necessary for Empress Rong'an's character arc, but otherwise, I don’t really see much use for it. Yinlou and Xiao Duo were clever and quick-thinking as usual, and for once, the Emperor was actually useful for something! Overall, though, this felt a lot like a filler episode.

the way we're moving out of the capital just as the political stuff gets interesting... i think the drama is on more solid footing after these seven episodes, especially with the onslaught of information and events they bombard you with in the beginning. better to find their footing later rather than never tbh. but i am looking forward to chu zhao when she's away from the court. i think her clever mind shines most when she's not restricted by court machinations, so i'd like to see how she does when she's out on her own in yunzhong and with xie yanlai. i think chu zhao's strongest trait is her desire to survive at all costs, so I'm curious to see how it will be tested in a different setting/environment.her father is clearly her most important emotional anchor so it'd be good to have her see him again too. we've seen chu zhao desperate, afraid, ambitious, motherly, and cunning. she's been vulnerable with xie yanlai for a few brief moments, but i'd like to see her let her guard down completely around her father.

The scene where the 5 sisters are discussing Shou Hua's plight is so endearing, the way the siblings are united and strengthened by each other. And proud Mama Li listening outside. If only all families could be like that. I also like how Shuo Hua is putting Du through a real stress test to prove he is deserving of her after the way their marriage started.

must say i kinda get why Ryo's college roommate doesn't like Zen, dude was mean cause he was jealous that there was someone closer to Ryo then himself. & he loves to be petty so he kept acting like a spoilt brat & ironically Ryo's college roommate also is jealous of how close Ryo is to Zen & wants to push him out & take his place in Ryo's life. ironic really. but i didn't get Zen coming to Ryo's house when he didn't hear from him. he saw the pic of the two college roommate's drinking together, i aint a drinker but i would assume catching up they would spend till late together. either way i wouldn't show-up at someone's house - when i was having a secret relationship with them. not without getting the all clear. but i guess Zen is sure the world revolves around his ass & he almost put his foot in it.

From the trailers, it seemed that Barth would be rebellious, but I assumed (and maybe this was my fault) that he was someone trying not to conform and not someone who’s hurt by the system that he only knows to respond in anger as a way to protect himself. This episode made me realize that he was like a cornered animal that learned the only way it can protect itself is by fighting first. That’s why he holds eye contact uncomfortably long, to intimidate the other person from even attempting to hurt him, preparing himself for the worst. At the end of the episode, when he realizes that Tanrak is trying to help him and he seems too naive to have an ulterior motive, he finally relaxes, and you can see the tension seep out of him in the pool. The trailer focused a lot more on Tanrak’s conflict with religion and sexuality as it’s the main conflict to their romance, but I didn’t once think that Barth would be someone who was also once like Tanrak. This adds another layer to their conflict because Barth is at a different point in his journey and has chosen to no longer believe in God, so what will Tanrak do? That’s why Barth more than anyone understands Tanrak, yet will still choose to love and fight for their love which will make their journey all the more painful as Tanrak conflicts between his love for Barth and his “Ticket to Heaven.” I also did not expect that Tanrak would already be questioning his faith. He asks Kongdech, “Are the people from your village all Catholic?” Meaning if they’re all such good-natured people, who help Kongdech’s mom, is it *because* they are Catholic? Do you need to be religious to be a good person? Don’t good people deserve to go to heaven regardless? You can sense his resignation as he then says that this is his best option as well. Kongdech doesn’t have a choice because his family is so poor; for Tanrak, he was orphaned at such a young age and was taken in by the church. Another surprise is that Tanrak is already aware of his sexuality. The scene where the young student was being bullied and getting called homophobic slurs by Kongkit, Tanrak did not intervene, knowing that Kongkit followed his lead as the Head Scholarship student. It seemed as if he felt this fear, that if he intervened, the others would automatically be able to tell that he was gay. That final scene cemented it for me because both he and Barth were panicking as if the fact that they slept next to each other would immediately show everyone their sexuality. They’re both paranoid of being discovered and also hyper-aware of the interest toward the other.

I get that his little brother is supposed to be cute but honestly he’s annoying as fuck. He either cannot read the room or is intentionally bring a dick. Either way, I don’t like him much right now.

there is a pressure in my head & my jaw from wanting to cry, but suppressing it. this was beautifully painfully & depressing as all hell. i read somewhere that's this is an open end - this aint open anything! - Ryu & Jo Han were on a journey that would end with Jo Han's body finally giving up, it could take a day, a week or less. but given his situation, he didn't have long - that's why his sister allowed Ryu to take Jo Han out of the hospital, cause she couldn't do anything more to help him. **********************this whole story was freakin depressing & we had to get Jo Han's back story & how much he suffered & from so young, yet life wouldn't cut him a break. the fact he found a soul mate - something i doubt most of us do or recognize if we do, is the only bright spot in a really dark story. *****************************************************************************************************the plot was depressing & sad - given this last ep i had a feeling that the writer has personally lost someone they loved dearly & this was a love song to them & that love. *********************************************************************************************as i have always said, the reason we watch drama's & movies in general is so we can forget about reality for X amount of time & get immersed in a magical land were everything is good & happy, even if there r hurdle's to overcome, by the end the good triumph while the bad get their comeuppance & we get a happily ever after. this type of drama/movie forces u to face how sad life can be & just cause u have it bad now, doesn't mean anyone owes u that it will get good from now on, it can & will get worse - depressing. still it was well written & acted, but given how sad this is i doubt i will revisit this anytime...

Being a relatively newbie to jdramas and kdramas, the previous 'oldest' jdrama series I watched was 'Orange Day's" which I really liked. This series is almost 30 years old. What I really liked about it was the female roles: the women were independent feisty and dressed how they liked... they spoke about sex and appeared totally normal etc... It seemed to me to be a series that could have represented a lot of different cultures. Not knowing the history of jdramas or mangas I don't know why there is such a modern feel to this series which is 30 years old compared to some more recent series where the female roles are passive and not very vocal. Not being from Asia I am not the person who can explain why this series seems more modern than stuff produced now! As I watched it on Netflix (where I watched 'Orange Day's) It would be great if there were more 'older' jdramas available to watch.. I recognised the actor who played the FLs brother from "Step mum and daughter blues" and the young gifted pianist is actress from the quirky "Quartet". I believe that this was an extremely popular series at the time for the main leads.. I've seen the ML in some other series but unfortunately haven't gotten to see the actress who played the FL in anything else which is a shame.Really realistic story with great acting 90s costumes and nice OST.

OMG but this was depressing... it was one thing after another - no breaks. poor Jo Han of course he's gonna sacrifice himself for Ryu's peace of mind - so he wont become a burden. but what is he going back too? is his sister waiting for him in Korea? will he even lean on her if she is? & what about the mess he left behind - or rather that f*cker Shim, he not gonna pop-up like a bad penny??? given how this drama has developed i doubt in the last ep we gonna get an easy ride - heck i am dressing pressing next in fear of fresh new hell is awaiting me. but none of the disease the doctor mentioned r an "easy ride" they will literally be hell on earth for a young guy like Jo Han. idk what we gonna get but personally i am hoping for a miracle which we don't get in real life so from the writer of this....

Kamen Rider Fourze Episode 4

i think gentaro’s best strength is his empathy. he’s motivated to do better for others & trikes to understand everything about a person,it’s really nice. & i adore this episode for miu. this episode isn’t about chastizing her it’s about understanding her & not dismissing her because she has a frigid demeanor. & not just understanding her but celebrating her talents & intellect & how she can actually contribute to the kamen rider club. this was a fantastic, excellenmt hostage fight scene one of my favorite bits of characterization is the line ’ ’ don’t trust her just because she’s a girl !’ ’ LIKE YEAH THIS WOULD BE A PROBLEM GENTARO PUTS THEM THROUGH. & i like the ending resolution. that’s still her friend that she also can listen to & understand why she did what she had to do. it makes miu & yuki beefing more bareable. i really enjoyed miu’s episodes. it’s really refreshing in a show satirizing clichés to take it somewhere else sp tastefully. they used their time extremely well. we hyad a lot of fun we developed multiple different characters & we also said what needed to be said & allowed for trust to drive their actions instead of having to see gentaro waiting for miu to wake up & encouraging her when he already did that. he did it well & has the faith that she will show up.

Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 Episode 1

This time jump is seriously throwing me off. Im assuming it has to do with the monsters DNA but even still they mentioned Madam Na being alive. There's no way she'd be alive after all the time that has passed. I can always suspend disbelief in fiction but it needs to be explained pretty quickly. because as of right now all it seems like is they said we're gonna take the cast from s1 and throw them 79 years in the future like it was always set in this time
