great great great mid+point

this was a really great episode for sakuraba specifically. I’m intereasted to see his full journey as the instructor of the substitute class ，who is also in a disgraced rank himself. ryuzaki kind’ve has a really awkward absence in this episode which is still awkward but i liked seeing sakuraba step up when kitayama is lost without an example. i liked this ，it feels like a nice milesixtone for the class team. they have officially put all differences aside ，WHICH IS PERFECT FOR THE MESS COOKING UP IN THE PREVIEWS DFJKBJEFIJMFENJ. i do enjoy this show a lot. I’m rooting for every character & I’ve been enjoying each episode’s showing of them.

Growing the tower

Huo emerges and runs into otherworld patriarch again. He left her the note warning the gold flask led to death and that the seed was important. The black sand and pod of morning glory seeds grew the tower. So did Qi’s blood grow towers from their end? Or was it at same time and really all from the seed Huo planted? She is exploring where morning glory plant leads and the men are finding Japanese clues. Wu’s memories are still wonky so it’s a leap of faith for Zhang to put his life on the line that Wu will figure it out in time to save him. The Zainiangniang leads them through the miasma where the trail leads to the lab Hatoyama used to experiment on people. They find the names of unit 401 but haven’t discovered there whereabouts yet. There is one huge creature in the middle of things. Hatoyama has still not been discovered yet tho it seems like the one buried within the wall was wearing a Japanese uniform. This episode was a maze of tower rooms that were very similar to where they first explored. This time the background is Japanese influenced with Hatoyama being the main focus. Will Huo and Zhang’s group meet? Or are they on two completely different paths…one Chinese and one Japanese. Do Changsheng’s methods work and where does all this lead? If there is a way to ensure survival …Qi will find it. 😝🤣

Well Dang

Idk what I was really expecting as an ending to this whole fiasco, but it wasn’t this lmao. I extremely dislike that she ended up with anyone in the end. I also dislike how there’s this whole arc where she empathizes for those that used and hurt her. I get that she’s supposed to be someone who regrets hurting others, but did we really need to see her make up with her child’s dad? 😭 Anyway, I also don’t understand the whole redemption arc for the mistress. As much as I would like to sympathize with her, I can’t. She literally had been in the FL’s position before and still did what she did. Idk I feel like this should’ve just ended at the episode where she leaves town alone with her kid and leaves the student. Everything after that point does feel like a fever dream lol.
