Wait for Explanation

Ok. A lot of work was done in this episode.We finally get an explanation as to why the female lead, Zhuang Lan, is so quick to categorize cases as murders rather than accidents. Without revealing to much, her sister was in a car accident and there were suspicious indicators of her death prior to her actually dying.Some other shots reveal that the intro to this drama is not so random. It seems to depict key items in these cases. I appreciate this a little bit as I've recently complained that I was slightly upset by Taiwanese and Chinese drama intros because they often spoiled the plot by putting footage of the drama in the intros. Of these two worlds, I'd rather have innocuous clips from random places that seem strangely placed than clips of intense moment from the drama that reveal major upcoming plot points. So for my review for episode 1 I rescind some of my sarcasm. While the episode itself is fairly good, I do not think it was a good choice to wait until more than halfway to the drama to give us a fully fleshed out account of the main character's motivation. Not sure if this was the director or the producer's choice but I feel like it did a disservice to the drama. They implied this motivation in the first episode but it really wasn't enough for the audience to grab onto. Artistically, I think it is interesting to not drop the weight of the characters motivation on the audience right at the beginning. However, the execution makes me a little bit upset for the creators. They took a long time establishing why the audience should care.8/10 - the episode was good. But for the overall drama, some of this information should have been clearly front loaded.

Everyone is paired up

Finally Huang Bo is paired up with another woman. Now all of them has a girl they can fall madly in love that the men loses their common sense. I find this series to have all strong and opinionated women and an Enperor who likes to walk a fine line. It loses its credibility and I’m beginning to root for the bad guys, or someone to die. Please add some depth to this two-dimensional storyline and add more character to our Emperor. Or at least change the title to “the emperor and his new clothes”. I really can’t find a deep love story, why there’s a sense of obligation other than vengeance and maybe doing the right thing. Please let this end soon.

look this episode takes you for a ride. no wasted time though. they did great

this is a contendor for one of my favorite ensemble+cast writings. not for anything specific to the characters of this show but we will have these episodes where there’s a specific one we focus on but there’s always progress happening for their class+mates. it’s really cool ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆　　 ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆ fukuhara was nice. she also has these earlier moments in the previous three episodes that makes learning more about her rewarding ，especially her relation_ship to her peers kitayama & momoe. i also was taken by surprise with what they had to say. ryuzaki also upset me & i felt as agitated as fukuhara was. then they delivered a revelation that genuinely caught me off±guard. it’s true unfortunately ，it’s us as people that decide what gender is competent or trust±worthy. we can’t destroy misogyny’s roots in one clean strike & we also can’t lash out at a system waiting to punish. sensei ryuzaki has earned her authority i really enjoy her. i also really enjoy how they circumvent final says in this show it’s actually really fun seeing somepony sweep in ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆　　 ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆ fujigaya gets really annoying in this show fkmbkmewipoeriomf he’s so ignorant i start getting mad sometimes like ero32fewdodkmvkmlsd. he also kind’ve misses the mark of the character sometimes. he does suffer from the fact that . . . i stan him so i watch all these scenes knowing fujigaya taisuke is reading lines & trying to portray something but it is this veil of disconnect of believably selling teppei. he is funny ，he’s great at being cheeky. he’s not doing bad though ，brighter characters are a lot easier to maneuver ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆　　 ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆ kitayama is okay ，that next episode is about to be a lot i can tell it already. sometimes him & a lot characters act incredibly rash & that’s something i have to think about more how i feel. this show is pretty enjoyable. like i meant what i said earlier i really enjoy what I’ve seen so far it’s a lot more innovative & hearty then i expected it to be.

Revolution, not evolution

Though the 1932 historically was a bloodless coup, this show effectively portrays how the nobility dealt with the changes. Though bloodless, revolutions creates chaos and disruption to the norm. As governmwnt learns to figure out what it should be, sacrifices are inevitable. The writers did their homework and beautiful weaves the story of Phob and Tin during this tumultuous times. Creating the tension that keeps pulling them apart, the consequences of the action, and inevitably the life they will live. In the next episodes I’m preparing myself the painful truth and reality. Maybe I would prefer that than a fairy tale ending. Because it would be real. But of course people generally prefer a happy ending. Maybe there will be, but later in life.

Miantang once said that his love for his wife is not real, the Miantang he knew is a results of manipulation dan deceits merely a projections of his own desire. Does this works both way ? It totally does, Cui Jiu the smittten husband is also not real. Their fake marriage life didnt last THAT long, a few months till half a year at most ( did they specify it ? , ion actually remember so cmiiw ) wouldnt that make them BOTH be infatuated with their own perfect illusion of the love of their life, (ugh girl whatever just go to sleep its 1 AM)
