And episode where she is fully a human. I need to credit the scriptwriter for the creativity of how they should swap back..no spoilers.

This episode started of with still more heartbreaking, emotional scenes. Watching Shaoyao say her good-byes to Grandmother was so wrenching. Lu Yu Xiao's performance as Shaoyao has been nothing short of amazing. The episode also included some revenge by the fam against 1st Daughter, who was publicly humiliated and formally booted from the family by Hua Zhi in a dramatic, commanding public proclamation. And finally, finally, Go YanXi is freed from his confinement and, after a stop to visit his scumbag father, finally returns to Hua Zhi. Their reunion is really cool. No over-the top dramatics. No misunderstanding-fueled anger. They simply talk like real human adults! My god, it is so refreshing to see the leads behave like rational adults in a romance-drama!!!!

It wrapped up rather nicely and I'm glad the prosecutor became a decent human being. I only wished he has apologized to Se Na for bullying her back then.

They are trying to soften up Lee’s senior and it’s not going over that well for me. I found him more real being an ass and a thorn in her side. He is at least keeping the cult case open longer since he rushed it last time. Lee has been suspended for a week but she did at least get to check out the file. Jin found the hidden message where the killed manager requested an autopsy in his suicide note. I am not sure if the wife can be convinced after feeling harassed by Lee. Jin and Lee find themselves embedded in the cult. She comes in as a new interested party and he starts at the top wanting to meet Bori. The leaders know both are there. Lee has done better disguising herself so they are not sure which new one is her, just that she is among them. Jin is underestimated because of his past use of games as his reality. They are probably more interested in his money than him. However, Lee is seen as more of a threat because of her father’s history with the cult. This is creepy turf where young people are dying and leaders are killed when they want to whistleblow on the cult. So far they have one fingerprint, no phones and are about to be found out in a leader’s room. Previews of next episode looks like this is gonna get real serious fast.

It's been such a long time i didn't root for a couple THAT much, im so satisfied with this kdrama. It's giving kdrama with strong plot not centered around romance but with unmatched chemistry and meaningfully cute fl-ml moment, basically not just romance scenes everywhere for the sake of the romance plot if u know what i mean

Wow. This episode was just so emotionally intense and sad. It was bad enough watching all the trauma and abuse that Auntie Qin endured and her suicide attempt, the brutality of Song Cheng Zu on 1st Daughter, the resulting insane, sociopathic tantrum that the latter then inflicted on Old Madam - basically driving her own mother to death. This episode was just brutal. And man,, the scene when Hua Zhi crawls onto the bed to lie close with Old Madam Hua in her last minutes. If you weren't crying watching that, then you must be a robot. The performances by both Liu Jia and Zhang Jing Yi in that scene was just so intense. And god, poor Shaoyao - this was like losing her mother all over again.

Jin and team find out more than they wanna know about managers and stalkers. They figured out a unique way to get confession from the culprit. Jin’s brother keeps showing up to check on him and seems fearful Jin is remembering. There is a lovely scene of Lee and her family. I love her parent’s vibe and hope they are included in season 2 even with actress change. They have been a big part in helping Jin heal. The older actress provided sage advice to Lee and Jin. She was very direct and didn’t sugarcoat anything. She was the one who was both gracious and the administer of tough love when needed. She reminded Jin to look at his good memories and stop trying to keep his mother here with the bad ones. It is still a process but he is gaining ground and remembering how much she loved him. Lee has received a message to meet with one who can provide evidence about her father. Unfortunately he will also be their next homicide case. Looks like next episode will finally tell us Mr Lee’s history and the case that cost him his job and reputation.

What is wrong with the Korean people??? Her father allegedly killed someone and that's her fault??? Good gracious. This isn't even the 1st show I've seenwith people like this. I wish they would call out psycho fan beghavior more and the media biased and terrible one sided stories when a scandal or something breaks out.

Jin is a complete mess and just checked out for now. He called out his father in the middle of a meeting and had a good chat with Choi. He learns more about what his mother is like and there are some flashbacks of happier times as a boy. While he is absent, his druggie friend is making a movie. Right after they complete filming, the lead actress is found dead onstage and everything points to druggie friend. Jin did not hesitate to show up for him. He should have left him hanging like what druggie did to him but he’s too good of a person. This also helps him get out of his slump in questioning staff to get info. They have not yet discovered who killed her but they have crossed druggie friend off the list even tho everything points to him.

The big reveal from the Record Company CEO was not a reveal at all. I only wished La Ik would have challenged him more or at least said I'm done with you after this shit is over with!!I did like the leads going to the aquarium and handing out for the day.

Jin figured out where the USB drive was and they now had evidence. They did not view everything but they saw enough to understand why the doc wasn’t willing to give up the info and how heinous this was to be blackmailed with. They successfully hypnotized her to confess to the murders and one drop of blood on the scalpel proved she did it. Jin made a choice to destroy the drive to end the harm it could do. The reporter offered him a chance to swap the drive for the story about his mother. I think this convinced him that nobody should have what the drive contained. It was a wise and mature decision because he could have easily won his dad’s campaign for him had he wanted to. When Jin visited the doc in jail I was unhappy because I knew he would be hypnotized. But reflecting on it, she determined to protect her patients to the point of killing for them when their privacy was broken by thieves. And the fact that he willingly allowed her showed he needed to know no matter the consequences. So now Jin is seeing through the eyes of his seven year old self and his mom in the tub. He will be broken with this information. The real question is to what extent? Lee thinks it is too much for him to stay on the team and she had to listen to Jin thank her for not kicking him out. I do not know if she wavered in her decision to have him removed but whatever she decided was what she thought best for him.

Episode 2 of The Earth strengthens the narrative’s intent and leans more confidently into its central relationships. We see the characters beginning to deepen in meaningful ways, and the story tries to balance emotional beats with plot momentum. That said, the execution isn’t always steady. Some moments land beautifully, while others feel uneven — like the show is still figuring out its rhythm and how to connect its themes in a satisfying way. It’s a mix of promise and questions, which makes for a review worth writing… and reading. The story’s direction is starting to take shape, but whether its delivery will keep pace is still unresolved in this episode.👉 I unpack the highs, the missteps, and what might still make this series worth your watch in my full review here: https://bit.ly/4q92Wte
