Myunghee’s dad tries to get his son and myunghee to go naju but he fails and so only his son and himself go on to return to naju only to be spotted by soilders and then HE LEAVES MYUNGSOO AND IT WAS SO SAD and heetae’s father finds out abt heetae being in Gwangju instead of Seoul so he kidnaps his son (the car accident last ep) and traps him in his home, and eventually jungtae’s mum comes into the room, feeds him water, and then heetae asks jungtae’s mum to call the hospital and tell myunghee he’s okay but she said she couldn’t do it since she’s powerless in the house, and he then asked for jungtae and her to escape their home and that she should know that heetae never resented jungtae’s mum which emotionally moves jungtae’s mum and then she frees him and he goes to myunghee and they both escape to myunghee’s local church where they both temporarily stay and they start talking in their room to which myunghee brings up the idea of marriage to which heetae says yes.

am glad the whole Shone thing didn't become a big issue, Kang didn't string him along - but told him he already has feelings for someone else & to seal that deal, Shone walked in on Moo & Kang being all lovey dovey. idk why he needed to clue Moo in to the fact that the guy he started to develop feelings for was Kang. but as it was resolved in a blink i don't care. *******************also am happy that Kang was the one to ask Moo for him to be his bf. as if Kang was being to evasive for my liking & given what an open book Moo is, he didn't deserve anyone playing game with him - so am happy. ********************************************* regarding the 2nd couple, ironically i feel bad for both guys - for different reasons. Yos is so understanding & supportive of Tae, sometime at his own expanse. Tae on his end - was sad cause this is his dream & for his bff to get in while he was rejected (when Yos told him that that wasn't his dream he was just going along cause it was Tae's dream & he was just being a supportive friend, would be like salt on his wounds. bummer

It really reframes his character; you can understand parts of his past, but the damage he caused is undeniable.Then we see the fallout with Qi Min, whose ending feels like the true bittersweet conclusion. Imprisoned and ultimately poisoned by Manager Yu, it’s a quiet but powerful end. After everything — the obsession, the destruction, the chaos — it feels like justice, but there’s still something tragic about how far he fell.The episode also reveals that the grand tutor was deeply involved alongside the old emperor, showing that this entire situation was built on years of manipulation and power struggles, not just one person’s actions.The return to Lian Village is such an emotional highlight. After everything, seeing the female lead come back to where it all began — welcomed by familiar faces — feels grounding and full circle.We then get a time skip, showing a more peaceful future, and that mirrored moment of the leads riding out together again is just perfect. Her repeating his words about protection? Full circle in the best way.The alternative ending is interesting, showing what life could have been like without all the tragedy, but I’m still unsure about it. I think I would’ve preferred more time spent on the actual ending and side character closures.Character Notes • Female Lead: Strong until the very end. lowkey a bit boring but still made me cry

ITS SO SAD STOP WDYM SOUTH KOREA’S OWN SOLDIERS ARE SHOOTING, GUN-SHOOTING AT CIVILIANS, NO MORE BATONS, IT’S GUNS INSTEAD. Myungsoo and jungtae decide to go to the comic book store by escaping their training camp since it was their teammate/friend’s birthday but the store was raided by soldiers who wanted to find “rebels” (beat up anyone they could find) but they were lucky to escape but they got in the middle of an anti-martial law protest when the soldiers thats were on stand by in case the protest went overboard started shooting, and so jungtae and Myungsoo started running away and whilst doing so Myungsoo tripped and hurt his ankle, when jungtae went to pick him up, he saw his dad since he was the anti-communist head for the military, which was jungtae clocked that these soliders were south korea’s not north korea’s and he realised his father was a criminal, and myunghee found out myungsoo escaped and so rushed with the ambulance with heetae and two other doctors to the shooting scene where the soldiers with guns were still there and myunghee didn't find myungsoo since he got back to the camp safe, but heetae met with kyungsoo since he was about to arrest myunghee whilst he was on the scene but didn't since kyungsoo was in shock for seeing heetae and so didn't arrest them and let them escape on the ambulance and heetae told kyungsoo that sookchul was alive and safe and in Gwangju, which made kyungsoo drop his gun in shock. And now myunghee dad walked all the way from NAJU to get myungsoo and myunghee way a from the chaos and in order to give them space to talk, heetae goes with another doctor to get blood transplant bags from another hospital, even though they planned to leave Gwangju at that time only for heetae and the other doctor to be crashed into another military truck who ran into them PURPOSELY. Growing pains of first love

I love YueXin’s character. She is so sweet and funny. After her museum tour she is treated to dinner where she suggests buying the entire menu😂 What is sweeter is that her tour guide date would have bought it for her. In a roundabout way she shares her experience with friends trying to force her to date and blaming her when things don’t go as planned. He confesses his fear of next interview because his job is on the line and the last two attempts didn’t go well. She is so innovative creating the museum floor outline so he can practice all the guide information. She not only helps him practice but replacing bad memories with good ones to be calming thoughts for his next interview. These two make you sigh with content and smile.🥰 Xu Xiao and Xiao Cen have been showing up at the studio. Is is clear that she is along so he will show up. He is so focused on the work he is doing that he completely misses XiaoCen sitting idle with nothing to do. She was wanting to toss that cake so badly but she is too polite. And then she was sad that it was also delicious and something else the new artist could do better than her. I am sad for Xiao Cen, but there is no comparison between the artist’s old work and new projects. These new pieces are beautiful and shows her real potential with a competent mentor guiding her. It was fun watching the two sisters watch a drama together. The younger actually watches it and the older wants cliff notes to fill her in on the parts she didn’t want to bother watching. This is when they finally notice XiaoCen is deep in thought and not paying attention to anything. The next day in class she sits with queen gossiper and gets filled in on the love triangle. She is getting all too familiar with that at the studio. In the artist’s defense, she recognizes their attraction to each other and teases him. Unfortunately XiaoCen put a different spin on their conversation. I am glad she refused to go to the studio the next day and went out with YueXin instead. She deserved a good time with a friend. Xu Xiao notices her absence much more than her presence😝 He gets the latest story from his boss and commiseration about not understanding women. Xu Xiao meets XiaoCen and apologizes. He knows something is wrong but can’t or won’t define it. When put on the spot by the balloon seller, he dashes her hopes again that he has no interest. But he sees her look and wants her happy, so he buys her one. His heart wants her happy.🥰 I am waiting, not so patiently, for them to define their relationship. The only benefit of them both being clueless is this keeps her pushy hovering mom out of the way. When her sister told her to speak more quietly, she should have elaborated to mean more gentle. She lowered her voice but kept saying the exact same things taking charge of XiaoCen’s free time without asking her opinion. For the studio job, I don’t think she will mind her mom nixxing it. All these couples are on the cusp of first love and it is sweet to watch. The cast does an excellent job of interacting and the production team does a wonderful job displaying the pottery and drawing you into their craft. It is beautifully done.👏🏻

First ImpressionThis episode was chaotic, emotional, and honestly a bit tragic — especially with how everything played out in the end.⸻Episode ThoughtsThe episode kicks off with the truth from 17 years ago continuing to unravel as the male lead confronts the Prime Minister. Tensions are already high, but things escalate quickly when the Grand Tutor and Qi Min make their move to seize power.The fight between the male lead and the Prime Minister was intense, and it really shows how much the male lead has grown — he’s now able to go head-to-head with him and even disarm him. That moment alone felt like a huge shift in power.Then comes the unexpected emotional turn — the Prime Minister’s son stepping in and taking the arrow for the male lead. It adds a layer of complexity to everything, especially considering their past.Meanwhile, Qi Min’s storyline takes a darker and more tragic direction. His obsession with Manager Yu becomes painfully clear during their confrontation. His inability to let her go ultimately leads to that shocking moment on the wall. The way he drags her down with him and then, in his final moments, chooses to let her live instead is honestly confusing but also shows how twisted his feelings were.It’s one of those moments where you almost feel sorry for him — just for a second — before remembering everything he’s done.The episode does a great job of making you feel conflicted about certain characters, even the Emperor, who is completely exposed as powerless and terrified. Watching him beg for his life really drives home how much of a puppet he has become.We also see the Grand Tutor finally realise the truth about Qi Min’s actions, only for it to hit him too late. His collapse feels like the consequence of everything he chose to ignore.By the end, the Prime Minister is defeated but not killed, forced instead to face the consequences of his actions. And as more of the truth about the past comes out — especially involving the old Emperor — it becomes clear that the real story is even more complicated than we thought.⸻Character NotesFemale Lead:Strong as always, especially in the chaos. She continues to act as the moral compass, even stopping the male lead from going too far.Male Lead:Completely in control this episode. Strategic, powerful, and emotionally grounded — his growth really shows in how he handles both the fight and the aftermath.Qi Min:Tragic but dangerous. His obsession reaches its peak here, and his final actions are both confusing and revealing of how twisted his love really was.Prime Minister:Finally losing his grip. Even in defeat, he’s still layered — not just a villain, but part of a much bigger story.Emperor & Grand Tutor:Both exposed. One powerless and afraid, the other facing the consequences of his choices far too late.⸻Final ThoughtsThis episode really blurs the line between villain and victim. It wraps up major conflicts while opening the door to even bigger revelations. Exploring new opportunities

The sisters have made up and going shopping while XiaCen tutors her cousin. The assignment turns to love poetry and her cousin makes some astute observations about her picking lotuses.😂 While they are fighting over her phone he makes a remark to his aunt that gets a death glare from XiaoCen. He changes it up a bit to reflect his assignment rather than XiaoCen having a bf. In class, she is a bundle of nerves recognizing she LIKES him. He is trying to figure it out and I grin at the encouragement he gets from one of the pranksters. He invites her to a fair where porcelain is also used as art. He can’t help himself and corrects a vendor who is selling her wares as restorations while he considers them cheap glued together tiles with poor technique. 😂Things are getting heated when the artist shows up and calms things down. She takes an interest in Xu Xiao and visits his workplace. This is the first time XiaoCen has experienced jealousy. Xu Xiao would have been very pleased had he been aware. 😂 The artist presented a work and asked his opinion. He wasn’t much kinder in his evaluation but did reflect on whether as an art form it had merit. She invited them to her studio and it looked promising. She is wanting Xu Xiao’s skills rather than XiaoCen’s so if he chooses to work there that will take away a lot of their together time. She is a bit worried as he seems interested in the shop’s potential. It does not help that the artist is a bit older and very pretty.
