A Wicked Love That Hurts So Beautifully

Wow episode 6 completely shattered me.After years of loneliness and being unloved by his father and siblings, Pheem finally found warmth in Than, his bodyguard. The irony hits so deep. The same man who once protected him as a child now shields him again as an adult, not just out of duty but out of love. Their kiss and every moment between them felt so real and raw, like two broken souls finally finding a home in each other after a lifetime of emptiness.For those who watched Love in Translation or Century of Love, you already know this couple has unmatched chemistry. Even behind the scenes they look so natural together, their smiles, their playful glances, those genuine kisses that feel too real to just be acting.What melted my heart most were the quiet moments. Their morning hugs, brushing their teeth together, the soft back hugs, little dates, and the thought that Than is planning to introduce Pheem to his parents. It felt so pure, so healing.But happiness never lasts long in The Wicked Game. Risa and Chet’s cruel words poisoned everything, telling Than that Pheem had planned it all and that he was nothing but a liar. Then Than’s colleague discovered that Pheem was the one who destroyed his shop, tearing apart the last pieces of trust.Yet Than still chose love. He turned a blind eye because his heart already belonged to Pheem. And Pheem, even buried under all his lies, only ever told the truth about one thing, his love for Than. That love was real. He proved it when he took the bullet and almost died to save him. Revenge consumed him, but love still defined him.This is exactly why I love this series so much. If Pheem were just a perfect green flag character, it would be forgettable. But it’s his lies, his guilt, his wicked heart, and the way he still loves that make this story so powerful. The Wicked Game shows that love doesn’t have to be pure to be real. Sometimes it’s twisted, painful, and absolutely unforgettable.

Endurance and blood

This episode gives us the backstory of RuMu and his dragon. There are no depths QingTing won’t sink to. He literally used everything but the skull of her mother. He did not have the courtesy or decency to kill her first. Her horns alone were allowed to regrow many times. RuMu did not know this history. He went home to find what he could of her mother because he loved her. When the skull was returned to their nesting place, her last memories were shown and a water core was presented. The dragon used RuMu to cultivate the core but his father betrayed them and used her hatred to make her mind unbalanced with the core’s strength. RuMu saved her from herself, but the core and his meridians were lost in the process. Their story was poignant and beautiful. The scene with the snow when his young self so freely gave his very life to her. 🥰Unlike RuMu’s father, she regretted deeply what she had done and is too ashamed to face him til she makes it right. I think she is looking for the water core so she will have the power to heal him and will not rest til she accomplishes it. The spider spy network sent a message of what has happened in WangQuan manor. There are no good choices tho RuMu is voting to go. He took the time to drink good wine and tell his story so that FuGui could let her know he never hated her. He spent the evening training with his sword writing his sword path. It is more carefree than FuGui’s but it is equally honorable. These two cousins know the most about endurance that bears no grudge or hatred. How these two elite souls came from the WangQuan line? I give credit to the mothers. The heart bell made the dragon realize she loved RuMu back and that has her more determined to carry out her plan of redemption. Quan JingTing is a loathsome bloodthirsty dictator that thinks he owns all as the streets in Eastern City run red with the blood of demon kind. Guess that means his arm and spine need to go. Let’s kill all his demon parts and see what’s left that is actually human.😝The alliance that supports this malevolent coward are even more disgusting than he is. They know it is all a lie and do not care. Their bottom line is worth more than their lives and souls. I think JingTing has managed to surpass RenFeng in being the most vile and hated character of the series now.🤬

Favors and fools

The small fox clone is so sure he has FuGui in the bag for his master that he launches himself at FuGui expecting to feed off hatred. He finds himself tossed and bouncing around like a Pachinko ball because no hatred exists inside FuGui.🤣😂 This amused me. I still smirk thinking about it. While the fox is testing FuGui, QingTong runs into Madam Yin. The spider master learns that old ways no longer hold sway with QingTong and that her 12580 was doing her damndest to blow them both up with her core to keep the master from FuGui. He arrives just in time to slam QingTong’s core back into her and defeat the spider master who is stunned that he was capable of hauling out a divine flame blade with such little spiritual energy left. He refuses to kill her while she moans over her husband’s core and screeching about HongYe’s treachery. Here FuGui knew was incorrect because they record all demons killed. So he looks at the core and points out that it was in suspended animation and he could remove the seal to prove it to her. She spent so much time with her hatred she missed that detail.😝🙄 Here she offers a future favor as a thank you. So when FuGui helps a demon he gets the entire spider spy network owing him. Quan JingTing disrupts a lot, but he is not a great asset to any cause for human or demon. He is despised by both sides. With that mind scrambling talisman he said the blood magic would only spare the creator while EVERY person in there failed to note HE was the one that destroyed it. That poor young priest was demon brainwashed whether by deceit or choice and was driven to suicide before the truth could be told. This fickle YiQi alliance have no problems killing their own and change leadership with little thought. They cave to the strongest and/or richest. HongYe has been set up and his people know it, but instead of killing off that wretched QingTing, he uses the same warped logic with himself as FuGui and sees it as harmful if they kill off each other. Funny he didn’t see that logic with his son and innocent life.😝 I can’t feel sorry about or angry at his betrayal. He keeps the villains close with minimal restraint. I am glad the butler pointed out how little the alliance actually does for the power they want to wield and how FuGui basically took care of the entirety of their demands with no reward in sight. That prophecy is getting closer and they are to blame. Small scenes with RuMu still trying to find his ice dragon and being in bad shape. He is a mess and bragging about soldier backing him when he hears just a bit of what’s been happening with his cousin. They are going to have an interesting conversation when they next meet.
