The Shen family gratefully received the son in law’s help to turn the tides of the coup attempt. XiHe showed up just in time to show off her archery skills defending her husband. As victorious as the battle felt for him, I don’t think it compared in his heart to seeing the woman he loved fight for him and kiss him soundly in the middle of the battlefield. ❤️ If ever a pair proved worthy of each other, this moment stands out as the one that cements their bond. I had hoped Changqing recognized the futility of his moves on XiHe, but his shameless wonton feeding shows his heart has not changed on the matter, 😝Changtai is greeted at home by a loving wife that recognizes the dead end her path has become. I believe she loved him and tried to help him become his better self but he was not capable of getting past his ego. He proves his love is after his own when he watches her with the knife and then makes no effort to cover the wound but let her bleed out. She is well rid of him and died with no regrets tired of being his blade rather than his partner. He did not value the life he had nor has hopes for the future. I do not think he has the courage to take his own life like Ning did. He will just have to find a rock to hide under because going home will not be an option and his rebel friend is now dead. In much better news, XiHe has admitted her love for HuaYong and kept her promise of mentioning it as soon as she was sure. She is given a list of royal court officials and she wants to know what he thinks of Changqing’s claim she is his ex. His response was beautiful.🥰❤️ His only concern was the woman before him. The name or title was irrelevant. It took forever, and she annoyed the hell out of me with her tests and delays accepting him, but, she is the same as Huayong. Once she gives her heart, it is a done deal and completely without further reservations. I think a young heir will show up sooner than later now. 😂🥰 The Duke of Wei is a shadow of his former self, but he is alive and looking to the future. He sees his daughter is happy and he is confident she has chosen well. He is pleased that Huayong puts the family relationship first when they are at home. He gives his second father the respect he deserves and fights for the brother in battle when he was too injured to go. He wants his wife’s family to prosper and put his life in the line to make sure it happened. They had a gift filled send off from the locals thanking and praising them for protecting their hearth and home. Changqing unfortunately wiped out all my good feelings when he shows up to escort them back shamelessly being the third wheel with no apologies. It is clear he is up to something , but no matter what it is, he is too late. Her heart is now committed and her devotion to the crown prince will not be changed. Reflecting back on the battle his young guard handled himself well and knows the Prince values his life above his abilities. What stands out with this group is how slowly and completely they love and depend on each other. They are truly family in the actual meaning of the word. Both by blood and bond they accept each other as is and will care for and fight for each other as long as they live. This episode was about love and family, bonds and betrayals, and the ties that bind or needing cut loose. The cast brings this to life and holds our interest in their characters and relationships, making us love, hate or despise them as they choose to tell us their roles. This episode did not require a second couple boost and for once the main couple shined brilliantly. ❤️👏🏻

What hurts the most is when the people who are supposed to love and protect you, your own blood siblings, are the ones who hurt you the most.I have eight siblings, and honestly, I’ve learned that blood is not always thicker than water. Sometimes it’s easier to walk away from toxic friends, but with siblings, it’s much harder. They are family, and no matter how many times they hurt you, you keep hoping things will change. But there is also a limit to how many times you can forgive someone before you have to protect your own peace.

IrenaK They really are trying to look so uninterested and maybe even irritated by the other, yet in reality, they enjoy having each other around so much. Gah, you two... 😂I want them to make up, but I kind of enjoy watching this game they are having now. 🫣I bet XiXiao is jealous of Jiang Yan. Maybe he even thinks they were on a date and might step up his game of tortures. 🤨Sad to see what has happened with Jiang Yan's mother. Her life really hasn't been easy. And that's another life that had suffered from XiXiao's father. 😔

nero truong what an absolutely perfect episode jesus christ. dong biquan slowly grasping that cup & basically every scene barraged after it was so beautiful crafted. i seldom care about the politics of historical dramas but my eyes have been fully attented since i started this. i love it deerly & it feels so vital as a way of understanding shen xi he & xiao hua yong ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆ ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆ xiao hua yong i Love whenever we make fun of him for being so freak☆ishly in love with shen xi he & his feminist moment of not wanting to use women as battle pokémon fbkiogerkimesfmkskmdkm the end of the episode was a bit hectic but it was funny. I AM SAD THAT THIS IS POSSIBLY HOW PRINCE LIE DIES OUT . . . i hope they get it together for the next episode i don’t want it to end like this . .. god i really loved this episode i was so engaged from start to finish. it was necesasary.

The mirror scene between Zhang Zhun and Gao Zhun was such a powerful. Seeing the same actor portray two different versions of the same character talking to each other was incredibly intense and emotionally gripping. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a scene executed quite like this before. It was brilliantly acted, beautifully filmed, and left a lasting impression on me.

rosalice_ Right now, the main issue is that their love story is also being told through the characters they play. I don't know if other viewers like it, but I’m not interested in the storylines of the characters they portray. Some scenes might not be bad, but others... to me, they just feel like filler.Anyway, excellent final scene.

shriek The translation has been fixed/done by a human, yay — That Phatsa asked to work, gets to read financial reports to then not go to work and beg, not even to work, but to do something *anything* outside of the house once again…… *just smile and wave boys* — Amintra. who is she, why is she, what is she. — Her being played by MFlowEntertainment’s CEO makes this feel very self insert-ish. And unless this character is well written it won‘t be more than that. *sigh* — loved to see yet another set of pheoromone/bond effects: soothing your partner & feeling the pain of your bonded soulmate (one sided so far) — also, some more of Phatsa’s Alpha-esque traits (being smart & instinctively good at shooting) — okay, Phatsa you‘ve been an Omega for what feels like a week and now you act like an ABO expert to that girl in the café? <— that makes me think: Phatsa‘s parents must be dead or gone in some other way, that would add to him not knowing about ABO. But then why was this not established in Episode 1? It made Phatsa appear very isolated and/or ignorant in an idiotic way. — love Sangnuea‘s flirtatiousness

estar before anything have to say, that last scene of them at the beach was so freakin beautiful & so fitting, after the dark dreary ambiance that was prevalent throughout this from the start - it was fitting & a promise of a bright, happy, hope filled future for the mains - who have been though hell & back - perfect ending. also read comments saying this was rushed - what??? yeah, i didn't want this to end & suddenly everything just fell into place, not only Tak but also his "Juliet" got caught & suddenly all the murderers were connected & solved in a blink. but it wasn't illogical as Ju found the incriminating piece of evidence that connected the dots to all the murders. & Song Ha Neul who had no love for his parents offered himself up the sec he targeted Chae Ha & blotched his murder. once he got caught he became another pieces of evidence that could be used to strengthen the case against Tak & O Ja Hyeon. so i don't think anything was rushed in this ep. ************************************************still wondering about Chae Ha's father's suicide & if that was indeed self inflicted, maybe there r answers to be found in the webnovel this is adapted from (to lazy to go read) so bummer that wasn't addressed. but on a whole all the lose ends were tied. ****************************************************************************************************************************************this was well written & well acted for sure a rewatch - really enjoyed this!

ugh i aint looking forward to this ending, cause even though this toxic as hell & thought so from the start, heck had a hard time liking Ju cause of his "mean girl" behavior. but this was a fun ride & really am enjoying this - but it is what it is, everything gotta end. the fact that by the end of the ep Chae Ha was back to holding onto Ju like a liferaft was hilariously predictable. dude is a masochist, so of course after the initial shock (after finding out Ju really was & why he was so antagonistic towards him), he realized he rather be miserable with him, then happy without him. *****************************************************************if anything this show goes to show u how past trauma & the things u were put through childhood molds u into the adult u r. that's why i think this is really well written & acted, cause it's not hard to figure out anything if u just "read" what is being portrayed & said. *********************************************************************************************************************btw i am kinda shocked that Tak more or less came out & confessed that he was involved in the mains father's murder & framing (guess this down to the fact we almost at the end). & always wondered if Chae Ha's father actually took his life in prison or was also "help" so Ju's father's case could be wrapped up & closed forever. idk if we will get an answer in the last ep, as we got a final revel of the "son" - will have to wait & see

Charlie C I still enjoy the story so far and am willing to overlook certain illogical/irrational details, especially when it comes to lead couple's progress. It has been prevalent since episode 19 that FL is warming to ML. Their increased screen time together helps tremendously (banzai to the wedding). I doubt there would have been anything without their close proximity. When everything else is equal and constant, I can't help but notice how FL suddenly... changes. Change is not a bad thing. It's natural and ought to be. However, it's like a sore thumb because in a single-episode span, FL went from a cold, reserve person to a soft, warm, somewhat pouty, cutesy when with ML without any transition. Even within her close circle, with her trusted people and other characters, she remains the same. This happened after ML gifted her the parrot. Maybe, it's the power of the parrot or a comedian. But ML has been an even greater comedian since the beginning, so why? Again, I'm still entertained by the series. Nevertheless, I think, it would have benefited from having a couple of transitional episodes for FL. Her characterisation made sense to me. If I were to use harsher words, it would have been character betrayal or assassination. Well, I have my criticism, but am not extreme.

Oh, I do love this kind of love! On the one hand, everything he does to her is to torture her in some ways, to spite her, and to make her play by his rules. He has all the power in this situation, and he's not afraid to abuse it! On the other hand, he wants so badly to be close to her — I can see his struggle and how much he wants to embrace her, to kiss her, yet he has to keep his act up. He's torturing himself, too, and I think he's actually suffering even more than she is.
