This episode really filled in a lot of background info on Xu Yan and in particular painted a deeper picture of her relationship with her grandmother who is basically the single one person in her life who she fully trusts and loves. This brings on tears in a few scenes and, as usual, when Lusi starts to cry ... you can't help but cry with her.

Literally, this ep made me cry and laugh again! The sincerity of XiaoYao not wanting to just go there and take it, and the jealousy of Hongye lol it was too cute and adorbs! The unwavering love between them is just so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️

Jimmy not in-love with anyone but himself & the fact that he is hitting on Teh's brother, when Teh is his bff is such a f*cked-up thing to do. u don't do that to ur bff!! that's one oh one bro code, like not dating ur bff's ex, or not putting a woman before ur friend. there lines u don't cross, cause it will destroy ur friendship. ****************************************************************************************************************************here Jimmy could care less for anyone & yet the one i am annoyed at, is Toh - dude the oldest among the 4. 1 he should know better & 2 his brother freakin warned him. but he blinded by Jimmy's good looks & charming personality - as the adult he should spot a player the sec Jimmy put on the charm act & the touchy feely sh*t, there should be warning alarms going off in Toh's head - but nope. he more naïve then a new born babe - go figure. *****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************heck Fah is the youngest in the group, but he could spot a player a mile away - that & he has no interest in Jimmy - which good on him, considering Jimmy so full of himself he sure he can get anyone he just gotta look their way. so he needs to be brought down a peg or two. mint What an incredible moment of grief and revenge and upholding duty for He Zhaojun. Estelle Chen gave an amazing performance. The thing that made me almost give up on the show was when Cheng Shaoshang… even faced with HZJ who had her entire family get slimed literal days ago & being told she wasn’t the same person anymore CSS still doubles down on not wanting to “give up” on Lou Yao… then the big y/n moment of Ling Buyi interceding as if CSS is getting bullied… And when Ling Buyi chastises HZJ, I was lowkey side eying the dude. This girl may have been spoiled big time and protected all her life but she just went through the most traumatic life/death situation and lost her whole family. Her father’s dying wish being that she marry LY even tho she doesn’t like the kid. Shes still gonna do it cause she’s putting aside her own stuff to honor her father and brothers who all died for her. Idk it just rubbed me the wrong way. I’m glad CSS took time to think about it. But it was big y/n energy and that kinda put me off. Looking forward to more growth all around and less y/n moments…

the cat watching them kiss was kinda hilarious.. & i am glad that Krist has gotten over his aversion to kissing a guy. BUT i don't think Phi had anything to apologize for - or rather he had NO reason to run after Tam - cause sorry not sorry Tam is in the wrong. heck dude is rubbing me the wrong way. he wanted to get back at Phi - why? wasn't he justified is blowing up when everyone has betrayed him - starting with & including Tam?!? & after how Te & his crew humiliated Phi - isn't he justified in getting angry, when he thought that Tam was going behind his back & might betray him (again) & abandon him for Te?? it's not like it would be the 1st time. *********************************************************************************************************so personally i think it was a really bad idea to jump into bed - very human reaction & yet very bad - cause Phi doesn't know yet why Tam just up & left. no indicator as to why. breaking up via text & then just hopping on a plane - not a backward glance. the fact he cried & maybe didn't want too, means nothing in the long run as he did all those things, not only broke Phi's heart, he also messed with his head - not giving a reason as to why... they weren't fighting or distant - they were loving until Tam sent the text destroying Phi's world. i don't need groveling - i think Phi needs the truth & an explanation! ********************************& i know the GL - woo - yeah - nope. just skipped past whatever was going on between the girls. as that messed-up.

I'm curious who Xun Ming was referring to when he said someone was backing Qi Bai. I also want to know Situ's hidden identity. For someone who supposedly has the right veins, he seems pretty powerful.

We suck at romance writing I fear and we genuinely didnt do anything this entire episode until the end and the reveal was lowkey unwhelming as fuck, I feel like they could have done that better. This ep is just so cute! XiaoYao really is on a mission to help him and make sure they find other ways to solve their issue without harm to anyone and I love that. I just love their chemistry and their relationship. It's a dynamic of we work together not separately. Love this!

This series has been very tightly scripted up to this point so this episode was a big disappointment . The relay station battle had so many plot holes and contrivances that it was just not believable. First, the dragging of the "Su finally grows up to face the brutal realities of the martial world" sub-plot consumed a lot of boring minutes. I'll excuse that since most of this series Su has acted with the maturity of a 12 year old so maybe his behavior was realistic ... for a 12 year old. But other plot holes such as the fact that while they had numerous wounded who should have still bee staying in the building, magically at the key moment, no one was in the building and all stupidly hyper-focused on the front-gate with plot-induced tunnel-vision, and just the idiotic way they were trying to brace the gate and no one going up on the wall to take shots with arrows ... it all just felt stupid. It's fine that the bad guys won if that is what the plot requires, but the implementation of the plot here was just poorly written. A real disappointment after all the well-written episodes up to now.
