i am back after a sizable break from the last episode for no particular reason that's just in my nature ,but i do think that effected how i felt. like ⅔ of the episode dragged to me & i felt like their characters were so flat stanley. it did pick up after they fight ,after they fought not during or because of the fight. both alicew hirose & micchi are. tyhey deliver the lines competently but they don't feel personal. their feelings seem obvious & then the delivery feels off. starting with alice hirose she is a competent actress & she's better at comedy ,which sayako is comedic. she just lacked vulnerability ,which picked up more towards the end. i think being vulnerable is like the most important thing to being an actor ,especially in a reomance drama. especially in a drama period. & so being comopetent here is being unsatisfactory. i want to feel the depth of the character's heart that i am watching & none of that happens here. because this is still relatively early i do understand it can go a better direction then how i feel about it so. now taku is another problem to me. more so a confusion because his character & performance i feel nothing for. he doesn't feel real to me ,he isn;'t that interesting. i think he can be really cool. him telling sayako he isn't going to coddle her but reaffirms her was really nice. but yeah i just think he's a bit undercooked.

I’m truly excited for episode 3. Episode 2 had me completely hooked—the game was getting more intense, simple yet unpredictable. I’m even more curious about what’s coming next; at first glance, it looks familiar, but we can’t tell where it will lead the players. Just like in episode 2, the game may seem harmless, but it’s undeniably tense. In episode 2, the losing players didn’t receive any punishment—so what about episode 3? Still can’t be predicted, I’m not sure yet.

Ding Qi as a student gains the supernatural ability to quintuple time loop, and thereby alter events/lives/situations with his choices or words. Wanting to do as much good as effectively possible with his talents and skills, he becomes a cop. Episode 1 is where our protagonist introduces himself and his capabilities in getting his way when tackling a bank heist. Crisp pace, excellent HK-style action, and precise editing leads to the viewer easily grasping this supernatural power of five loops and how Ding Qi became the person he is. Story manages to incorporate the best touch of comedy possible involving Ding Qi, in this situation of dangerous robbers who don't mind killing anyone. Director has a deft grasp of technicalities such as camera angles and innovative shots, enveloping the viewer easily into Ding Qi's world. BGM usage is also nuanced. Fantastic start to a gripping drama!

The Journey of Legend Episode 18

I think I'll need to borrow Liu Sui Feng's fan to slap the faces of Qiu Shui's two elder brothers, especially Yi Ren... ( ꐦ◜ᴗ◝) Why in the world are you blaming your brother for all the tragedies the family faced when things could've been prevented if you had listened to him just once!? (🔪。。)🔪 [That was the emotional side of me speaking. Now onto the more logical thinking...] From others' POVs, I do understand their anger towards our ML, due to the cause and effect. If Qiu Shui and his sworn brothers hadn't provoked the Power Gang in the first place, things wouldn't have ended the way they currently are. However, whether it was Xiao Ming Ming or Xiao Qiu Shui, either would have chosen the same path sooner or later because they don't look past any injustice before their eyes. Additionally, mistaking LSF for Feng Lang can't be helped. Even supposedly righteous sect leaders such as Qu Han Shan (a.k.a. "Sword King" of Power Gang) and Mo Yan Xia (a.k.a. White Guanyin or "White phoenix" of the Power Gang) were huge traitors to the Wulin world, who had never shown their true colours until Qiu Shui's involvement. One can be blinded by emotions at the moment of grief or anger, depending on the situation, which is totally understandable. However, it isn't right to blame every single misfortune on the younger sibling who's clearly also a victim, all the while denying the latter's repetitive warnings of forthcoming dangers. They should remember that it's not only them who lost their parents, but so did Qiu Shui. Our poor boy is now suffering both the guilt of letting in an enemy into their household, and the distress for his insufficiency in power to protect 'his people'. ૮ ◞ ﻌ ◟ ა

Si Eun's mother just doesn't listen or hear her son. She's so damn selfish I can't stand it. Baku's father also super annoying and abusive.

WTH man. I get it by now that these are basically all bad people (except Gao), I get that Hua is like a crazy yandere, but I didnt think we would get straight up r*pe in this show. And not 1, but 2?! So gross. I was in this for the mystery of what Hua's past was, why he was doing all this, but it seems like there is no real answer. He just likes him and is a manipulator who has gotten a lot of power. And it seems like the show is framing itself as a messed up romance of these shitty people being awful to each other. But hey they have sick relatives, so feel bad for them I guess. This is wild. But I still feel compelled to see where this goes. I was at least sorta rooting for the Gao/Shen relationship since it seemed somewhat better than the main pair, but not after this.

This was a pretty good ep and it was nice to see Si Eun trying to enjoy himself. I am so pissed that guy followed him to the hospital! Looks like the leader of the Union has that analytical ability like Si Eun.
