Who would believe the upright and righteous sect leader, whose mission is to eradicate demons and protect lives, is the power behind the destruction of lives? A total disappointment in so many ways. Perhaps he was upset that the master favored the tenth disciple more and gave his most beloved artifact to him instead of his successor.

(Spoilers (obviously), cause this episode upset me a bit)Why are the adults not helping?! It was so sweet, that the mother cried, because she was sad that he was scared. (post note: wait what? She's actually disappointed, and I misinterpreted it? Damn!)The grandpa was great. But why didn't anyone say anything while the "sh** show" began?!They could have helped out, explaining the situation, away from everyone else. Mother could have had a chat with the father... ?! How did the father turn out this way anyway? The grandfather is more understanding than him! Also, it's a bit....weird how Teerak reacts. It comes across more confused, rather than actually upset or sad.I guess it could be a cultural thing, but them just going along with anything the father says, is so messed up."You know I'm doing this, because I care for you." Hell no. You're not! Also, they hung out for lunch before? But somehow they can't now?I'm glad the mother stood up to him at the end...but why so late?Also...a perfect family is a dream...that barely anyone can reach and everyone decides for themselves anyway. Some want children, others don't. Some want to live in a village, others in the big city.

well that was a mess... & ironically again Kanade choses to cut ties & run away from the situation, instead of dealing with the issue. i get his father is an authoritarian & very tough to talk too. but Kanade isn't a child anymore - but he keeps bottling everything up, until he can't take it anymore & then he blows-up or runs away. like he did with his father - was disowning his whole family, really the best idea/solution? he gonna cut ties with his mother & sister cause he is scared to buttheads with his father - really?!? even his telling his father that he didn't care about him was unnecessary, as am 100% what he meant to say was that he didn't care about his opinion. *******************************************************************************************sadly i aint shocked, cause this has been Kanade MO from the start of this BL, any emotionally charged issue & he is running a mile in the opposite direction - dude hates confrontation & even though there is a part of me, that get's it. seeing an adult run away, instead of standing strong & dealing... is annoying & frustrating to watch - cause u want people that take the bull by the horns, especially when the people involved r important, let alone family. **************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************& no this doesn't mean, that if u have abusive (mentally or physically) family or loved ones - just cause ur blood related or emotionally attached, u should keep suffering in silence or keep them in ur life. *******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************but that isn't the case with Kanade - Kanade's behavior & timid personality r the reason his father is so harsh & uncompromising towards him. leave the fact that parents always look at their children as children no matter their age, so to him he has always had to push Kanade, cause he was too soft, introverted, shy etc... he thinks that's the best way to deal with Kanade & that's how he will succeed in life - do what an adult should do.... & Kanade choosing to keep quite or ghosting his family, doesn't show his father that he is wrong in his assumptions. ***********************this was a mess & it is sad (been saying from the start, Kanade needs "help" more then a relationship). but that won't happen, so lets hope Mashiro will help again - cause of him Kanade isn't just opening up, he is learning to not be so self-involved & take the person he loves into consideration. **************************************************************************************************lets hope Mashiro convinces him to rethink his final words to his father. cause seeing Kanade's father walk away with tears in his eyes broke my heart, yeah he is tough as nails but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a heart, or that he doesn't love his child.

The emotions she's channeling and the simultaneous heartwarming and heartbreaking context has me so impressed aeomtional! The war journey they share is both the height of their relationship at the time, and the beginning of the end of it. I've saw this happen in 1-2 other historical dramas since then, but this one gets me the most, because the tension and depth is much greater. Unforgettable.

Sima Jiao cannot break the barrier but can walk through. Here he has an unexpected encounter…..his father. Here he finds out everything that occurred that fateful night. One hundred of his clan fed the flame flower to unite with him and his father feigned madness and burned all the evidence. He thought this would end the battle not have Fengshan round two on another mountain. Jiao was far from pleased at his father’s calm storytelling of how the Fengshan bloodline’s legacy was destined through him, and that even alone left their mark in history. In this, he is as bad of a father as Shi. Both plotting their place in history rather than in the peace and happiness of their family. Ruling has Tingyan at the scene and they have her chained. Everybody is expecting a great showdown with the grandmaster where the pair would be destroyed and they could have their leadership places ruling 8 sects and having the flame flower be theirs. They are a disgusting lot to the end. I am glad Jiao destroyed every last bit of his family’s blood from that place. It needed to go. He did not know Tingyan was there and Ruling tried to help her. I don’t give her credit for that because she is why Tingyan is there. Jiao is in the process of fusing both flame flowers and seeking for Tingyan. He cannot find her soul shards anywhere. He succumbs to exhaustion and has an 18 yr nap. Nianju and his one lone spy have been trying to keep him safe but they are running low on energy and people. Jiao wakes up just in time to let the enemy go out in a blaze of glory and fix the demon barrier. So once demons had access, they did not worry about their people stranded but fought for new territory. Choas and lawlessness is rampant and nobody lives well. The celestial palace is all but destroyed. This was not Sima Jiao’s intent, but he is not surprised this is how things end up. He believes the search for Tingyan continues in the demon realm and headed that way. We get a glimpse of demon well and learn that Tingyan the frozen fish is as singular as Sima Jiao. Fire and ice fated….they are both the last of their kinds. There is a demon spirit needing a host and he tells the disciple of an artifact that needs Tingyan processed and this item can kill the grandmaster and the demon will become new host. There is a scene at an eatery with Shi sitting at a table and Tingyan is cleaning and calling him father.😝😬😱 Things have certainly changed.

Everybody shows up at Wufeng except who they expect to see. Sima Jiao knows it is a trap and heads to the other location where Shi’s son is leading a small group to guard the new flame. As the battle continues, the son firmly believes Sima Jiao killed Anxue, his love, and here even Nianju confirms his own father did it. He refuses to believe the truth and insults Tingyan and Sima Jiao. Tingyan helps to knock them down but Jiao takes this a step further and forces her to kill. She is completely traumatized by the event. This shakes even him because he did not see wrong in his actions. Her body is a demon, doing what demons innately do , kill when the need arises. But she is other and he is just now really getting that. I agree she needs a better sense of self preservation, but removing her choice from it and using her hand rather than an artifact made it much more personal. He thought he was having her stick up for herself, and she saw herself killing an innocent person she had no grudge against. She collapses and he carries her back. She feels unclean and is haunted by blood in her hands and visions of Shi’s son. She has told him that as grandmaster she j derstood his thinking, but that as the one most dear to her, she is hurt he used her against her will. This gives him pause to reflect. Shi is enraged his son is gone. His mind games made his son a puppet of a higher order but still just a puppet. I am not convinced his grief is for his son personally, or the loss of an u questioning cog in his machine of running the palace. His son killed many in that village, and I have no sympathy or regret for his death. But his death has made a serious impression on Tingyan and she wants to forget it. Shi is done with the facade of compliance. He is forcing Ruling’s hand by leaving her sister close to death. She has three days to find Tingyan. Her sister ended up dying with honor. I really didn’t expect that. She simply wants her people home and doesn’t put herself on any special pedestal or seeks extra consideration. Ruling cries over her but she barely spoke to her when she had the chance. She did not seek any further information about the barrier and aligned herself with a leader that thinks genocide is the way to rule. Why she thinks he will honor his word on any level is surprising to me. She personally knows the only two beings Sima Jiao keeps near him and this doesn’t make her question her judgment of him. She has just moved herself to the son’s puppet place in his blood machine.😝 Sima Jia brings Tingyan a jade pillow that will only allow good dreams. Hers is all about sweets and family. That’s really not surprising. She offers him cake and is back to her bubbly happy self here. She is more somber in reality, but she talks to him lovingly and wants him to take care of himself and not ever use her like that again. He is listening, but there is no way to know what future will want from them. They see each other in their soul lands and this time he is paying attention. He makes her an even stronger necklace to guard her while he is gone. He tries everything he can do to keep her safe. He has found the Shi flame, but he cannot break the barrier and the episode ends….

Okay, so I've watched the first episode of "Coroner's Diary" three times now, and I'm still just as obsessed. It’s not often you find a drama that grabs you right from the start, and it’s been a blast to dig into the source novel while rewatching. The show's changes are pretty big and interesting, but I think they really worked and made the story easy to get into. For one thing, the show swapped the novel's reincarnation plot for a stolen identity one, and honestly, that was a genius move. It makes the beginning way less complicated, and it separates the tangled cases from the book so the show can move faster, I also think its because of china’s law about this kind of thing (i search it before since its the third time i’m seeing dramas changed from its novel) That’s why I'm giving this episode a perfect 10/10—there's just no filler at all. You can’t even look away for a second because it feels like you'll miss something important. The characters are seriously so well done. You know how some historical dramas can feel a little cringe? This one's the opposite. The characters feel so real and mature. I was especially impressed by the servants, who were still so reasonable even when their master wasn't. And Qin Wan is such a great female lead. While she's much more intimidating in the novel, her calmer, quieter strength in the drama is perfect for the whole stolen identity plot. My one little wish is that her grandmother was more like she is in the novel; that character had so much more hate and complexity. But honestly, the first meeting between Yan Chi and Qin Wan? A thousand out of ten, easy! I've seen a lot of "staring contest" first meetings, but this is my new favorite. Both of them were so calm and respectful, even though Yan Chi is a big-shot military man. He never tries to one-up Qin Wan, and I love that. It's so cool how the show makes it clear that she's the boss when it comes to forensics, and he's the one who delivers the justice. Their dynamic is built on mutual respect for their different skills, and it just works so well without any weird power struggles.I'm also really glad they changed the beginning. It just makes more sense and doesn't leave me with so many questions about her skills like the novel did. I love that in the show, her maid, Fuling, already has a relationship with Qin Wan and knows how to help her, instead of having to figure it all out.So, yeah, this episode is a solid 10/10, no doubt. I didn't tune in when the drama first aired, but I'm so glad I finally listened to all the positive buzz because I am absolutely hooked.
