heartbreak

Guys I’m calling it Jaekyung is going to get together with Junpyo, my gut has a feeling that this is going to happen. I’m like 99.9% sure of it!! I mean the story pretty much aligns like imagine the rich handsome Gunpyo getting together (even married or engaged) with the powerful and spiteful Jaekyung….IT MAKES SENSE TO MEEE! I will update if I was wrong…UPDATE: BRO THE GUY WAKING UP JUNPYO WITH THE TRUMPET WAS SUCH A GOOD ICEBREAKER HAHAHA. Anyways I don’t know who Gunpyo is gonna end up relating areange marriage and stuff but what I do know for sure is that he will rebel against his mother somehow and someway. She’s very manipulative with Gunpyo and LITERALLY making him choose between his girlfriend or his family, lemme just say that she’s the queen of cruel 😢 the part when Gunpyo was on the bridge to talk coldly towards Jandi broke my heart ughhhg I couldn’t stop myself from crying…

JAW DROPPING

AINT NO WAY THIS GURL TRAVELED BUT ANYTHING TO GET YOUR MAN YASSS!!! Jandi could’nt wait any longer and honestly she’s so real for that. I loved her exploring Macau and having a blast with a new friend (love that duo sm!!) BUT LEMME TELL YOU WHEN I SAW JUNPYO WITH THE GIRL I LITERALLY SCREAMED AND ALMOST THREW MY PHONE ACROSS THE ROOM!!! I WAS LIKE HUHHH?!??? idk but something felt off about that and my guess is that he’s going to act more aggressive towards Jandi due to the stress of literally inheriting Shinhwa Group 😢. took off some stars for that because WHY GUNPYO LOOK AT JANDI LIKE THATTTT (it definitely felt intentional when in reality he just had to be like that bc of his mom). Anyways we shall see if the next episode gets any better.

The only thing dangerous was the horrible chemistry

Ok to start, I'd like to say that I'm not hating on the actors I've seen Perth and Chimmon in other series and loved them, but this show was just not it. The trailer was excellent and gave promises that the series did not keep. From what I remember this show was like enemies to lovers and during the first episode, things were good and the acting wasn't bad but when they were turning into lovers things js got worse, if somebody told me that these 2 characters were still enemies i'd believe you because there really was no chemistry and no hate to Chimmon. Still, he looked like he didn't want to be there half of the time, and the enemies' stuff lasted 1 episode, but they still looked like they hated each other.

Surprise! I am your sister

I watched this with Viki and there are only 8 episodes. There are spoilers for any watching the 18 episode version. ShiQi proved with her eyesight that she was not Shen Qin. The prince himself had rescued her from the fireworks but her eye was still damaged. When she could read the word regret, he knew it was not her. Her mole was also a distinct difference. The next crown prince was to be chosen and his brothers were making their moves. He was highly encouraged to go home and explain what happened as his father might be merciful. Her visit to face swapper had an extra surprise. When she went in to where her sister was, she was maniacally stabbing the cat eyed being that had face swapped them. She took her home where she would let no one near her. Shi Qi braved it and started talking about how difficult to look at reflection with different face. She then learned that this was not her older sister, but Shen Qin with her face. That her sister had swapped places years ago and had removed her shoulder blossom and carved the one on her. Shi Qi’s sister had borne the brunt of being Shen Qin and told them both they should thank her. The one for taking the abuse and the other for providing her a good husband. Shi Qi felt guilty she was the reason her sister ended up in the brothel and had she known she would have left sooner so her sister would not have been stuck with the medicine bills. She warned them both that if anything happened to the prince she would never forgive them. The prince showed up at the generals mansion and kidnapped Shi Qi. He was hoping to escape from punishment. Shi Qi blocked the general’s shot and tried to talk the prince into going. It was then he was convinced she truly was not Shen Qin and did not know him. He had no intention of admitting any fault. The crown prince had indeed died from croup. But the medicine had fallen and he had deliberately not assisted in getting it for him. While he did not kill the crown prince, he wasn’t innocent either. He pushed Shi Qi to general and stabbed himself. Shortly after the sister did same and laid on his chest. Time elapses and there is a new baby girl, Fubao,in the house. The General and wife and daughter were at the night market. There is a sudden snow and the General goes to get them candied hawthorns. While he was gone Shi Ji sees a couple that looks like her sister and Prince. They greet each other and they leave with Shi Qi gazing after them. She asks the General if it is possible for more people to have the same faces. And the episode ends. Did they fake their deaths or a timely couple of dopplegangers? We get to decide. What I want to know is what happened to Shen Qin with the older sister’s face? They did not say what became of her. It was a well told story with an interesting end twist, and would have been perfect minus the brother and telling the end of Shen Qin. It is definitely worth the watch as the concept is interesting.

Moms to be

I am watching on Viki so only 8 episodes. There will be spoilers for those watching 18 episode version. There are sweet moments with General and wife. He is so tender with her. 🥰 He loves watching his two girls interact. He now understands why general’s fight to the death…it is to protect and preserve their families. His advisor grins over them now instead of being suspect if her at every opportunity. I never considered the doc to be the plant for Prince.😝 Now the Prince knows she is expecting and he wants to be all tender over her. The general doesn’t even know she is expecting yet. I am not sure if she fears losing the baby or if she doesn’t want General to be forced to stay with her when he finds out her identity. If she only knew she would fess right up to him who she is. Shen Qin is regretting the face swapping because she is losing her lover and status being the painter girl. She is very unhappy and hasn’t told Prince she is also expecting. Because of her lie, the Prince has every reason to believe the baby is his. Only she and Shi Qi know the truth of it. It was very funny the way all those women were lined up with bats to beat Prince😂I hope the general just knocked out the two following her rather than killing them. They were only making sure she got home. She is so happy to see him after trying to clobber him😂🥰 These two are a sweet couple. They will both do whatever it takes to save the other. They are planning on finishing the wedding vows so they will be considered wed by law. This was deliberately left out initially so that she could divorce more easily. Now that they are more sure, he wants it etched in stone. The prince has agreed to back off and has bribed the doc with tonics to give to the wife. He is a mess and collapses on Shi Qin. The episode ends with her wondering if he mourned casting her aside or had fallen in love with the new her? Damned good questions. I am still enjoying the story and music. I like that there is little to no filler time. The brother is the only one in the filler category, but somebody has to be fall guy for the dumb decisions of the prince. 😝

Examining paintings

I am watching on Viki so only 8 episodes. There will be spoilers for those watching 18 episode version. Shen Qin is jealous. The prince is in love with the one with her face and the general seems to love the new Shen Qin. She decides to test the general by sending him the intimate painting she had Shi Qi paint for her. The general is far from happy seeing it, he even asks his advisor to look closely to see if really her.😝🫣😬 He knows the picture is not telling the story the sender wants him to believe. Yuan Bao shares the painting that Shi Qi shared with her and told him all about how that was the first time mom saw him and fell in love with him. The general was all ears and asked for every detail. He compares the paintings and notes the signature blocks and similar calligraphy. He even goes to the brothel and verifies with her friend that Shi Qi is the painter. He has figured out that he’s married the painter and no longer needs to look for her. He asks her about the painting and right when she is confessing all her feelings for him morning sickness strikes. When chatting with the doctor the general tells him nothing better happen to his child so the doc is now free from his promise and is very relieved everybody knows. Shi Qi has another meeting with Shen Qin and tells her there is one more task for her to do and then she will be with her sister. She shares some of her history. How the prince was kind to her when her brothers were trying to see if she could hurt herself. She said only two people cared about her. The general wants to go to the night market and hold hands with her and eat candied hawthorns. She notes a longevity locket and he eyes it for later. So does the prince. They both buy the same one but the general’s will have the right heart words. She is struck on accident and collapses and the prince ends up taking her home. While waiting for the physician, the prince is bragging that the child is his. Shi Qi apologizes for lying. The general is a bit concerned considering the topic. What she confesses is that she is ShiQi and has Shen Qin’s face. The prince thinks she has made up an outrageous tale to deny him, but the general is pondering. The face change wasn’t expected but he knows she is not Shen Qin. She apologizes to the prince and says she can prove she is not Shen Qin. And there episode ends😝

True character shines through

I am watching with Viki that only has 8 episodes with this series. So there will be spoilers if watching the 18 episode version. This episode finds the general comparing notes of Shen Qin with the woman he married. He knows she can draw and is a poet, but her calligraphy while good, is not accomplished. The woman he married is kindhearted to staff and children. The Shen Qin on paper will destroy something rather than let someone enjoy it. She is unapologetic about getting her own way and other people’s feelings don’t matter to her. His smile when she said she liked his flower purchase.🥰 She is determined to save documents rather than keep herself dry. He literally carries her out to his room.😂 He thought he had things managed when she sees the couch. You could tell he wanted his sword to chop it in two.😂🤣 That is verified when he orders his advisor to chop it up and use for firewood. When they go off to share the candy and are bickering, the ever wise Yuan Bao , Uncle Yun no wonder you are not married.😂He watches her sleep and knows she is his soulmate, no matter what is suspicious about who she is. They have located the eunuch so General leaves alone to surprise him. I am not sure who brother’s spy is in general’s house, but he lets the prince know. He plots an ambush for the general while the prince plots his own a,bush for the general’s wife. She beats him over the head and then bandages it. She sends Prince on his way and is told he plans to make her a widow. He is becoming obsessed with Shen Qin. Once she wasn’t his, he wants her. It is interesting that he likes his lover’s face with new personality. He sees the selfishness of his lover in the new girl, but it no longer attracts him. He is still a louse in a good day, but, like a moth to a flame he can only head for the light of the lover he lost. The ambush might have been a success if Shi Qi didn’t ride in on a horse to save him. They are both hit by poisoned arrows but fortunately got back in time to negate the poison. At this turn of events, his advisor says no matter who she is no longer matters. She went in selflessly and courageously by herself and she deserved an apology from him. That was quite an admission from this one. The prince is all happy talking to the henchman about the ambush. They said the general wasn’t hurt badly but the plus was his wife was, and the arrows were poisoned. So, when the prince said he would be greatly rewarded, he was stabbed repeatedly by a pissed off prince. Shen Qin notices how much he likes her, but reminds him she is the general’s wife. He makes it clear that now she is the only one he likes and tosses her aside. So now our couple will have both these psychos after them.
