For anyone who felt lost after the first two episodes like I did, don’t give up and definitely don’t judge it too quickly. That confusion you’re feeling is exactly what pulls you in. If everything were explained straight away, all the mystery and tension that make this genre so addictive would vanish.Mystique in the Mirror is designed to leave you questioning, uneasy, and completely hooked. That is what makes it so fascinating. Honestly, I think the first two episodes were executed brilliantly. They set the perfect tone for a real psychological BL and left me dying to see what happens next.

Imagine falling in love with someone in real life and finding out that person is actually your crush and your idol, it’s like a dream turning into reality! But when Chiaki discovers the truth that AE and Enaga are the same person, how will he react? Their whole relationship began with a lie, can he ever trust AE or Enaga again?I’m losing my mind over this, I can’t wait to see what happens next, this is getting so intense and thrilling!

FANTASTIC production and an incredibly interesting concept, but i was super disappointed by certain aspects of this show :(firstly, i wish Khemjira had committed to fleshing out khem's character (its literal namesake) more. he didn't do anything except ??? cry ??? and ask for help ??? and then cook ????? throughout the entire show. he had almost no agency and it was lowkey so hard to watch. he became a walking, sometimes talking damsel in distress trope. so so so sad to see especially as so many other characters were really intriguing.also, i personally don't like the way these two "fell in love"... there was hardly any buildup, and even though the characters kept insisting that they were different people from their past lives, the only reason they got together was due to that past connection. however, perhaps this lack of prior interaction stems from the fact that, as i said before and will say again, khem has 0 personality.as a final nitpick, i really didn't like that it was such a "thing" that peem saved khem from forest spirits when he was ~16 and khem was like????? 6-10?????? weird af, barely relevant, could've been left out so easily. i will say that i did enjoy jet and charn as a duo much more. they had some semblance of an actual connection, far better communication than khem and peem overall, and some moments that were actually quite sweet.ugh. i wish i could've liked this show. if khem was given any character traits other than cooking and crying, and if the romance was driven by any sort of actual connection rather than trying to fulfill the desires left over from their past lives, this would've been awesome. despite it all, for the beautiful execution by production and the wonderful performance from most of the actors, i can't go any lower than 6/10 on this one. i unfortunately can't go higher than that, though, because why was khem so uninteresting and useless omfg i'm genuinely so pressed about it.

A Dream within a Dream Episode 1

i gotta give it it's 10s just for the ridiculousness of it all, a love triangle where everyone is stabbing each other with dramatic dialogue on the street(!) and then they spin away like a tornado

Very very intriguing hints are revealed and throws up many questions on who/what/why. CP shippers would like the Puzhu/Sifang Tao drama unfolding. Would have liked more screen time for LYX but the very amazing Peony Tower scenes in latter half makes up for this. The series remains true to its convincing world building ethos.

I’m really enjoying this. Generally, I find this kind of relationship really annoying, but it’s not a problem this time around. It’s possibly because the cast is so likeable. Sea is charming. The second couple are really sweet. New is, as ever, fabulous eye candy. The mothers are great, and a lot like their sons. I’m having fun watching this. Lately I’ve been dealing with fallout of a lifetime of assaults and abuse, so I’m insanely sensitive and fragile. Shows like this (so far) are rare and pleasant. The other one is Peach Trap, a KBL that’s also just started. Super safe for those with problems like mine. I might start reviewing episodes with that in mind, so my fellow traumatised sisters and brothers can easily find the safe viewing we all need.

I like all three contenders. The lead is gorgeous. The story is, so far, basic. This is exactly what I need right now.

The Story of Bi Hyeong: Enchanted Master of the Goblin Episode 12

Fucking ended so is there gonna be a season two or what we spent too long trying to set this show up and not enough time in the actual show. It was doing so good all the set up on the floor and then we had one episode left or two and I’m like what the fuck did we just do. Hopefully there’s a season two actually special or something because this final episode felt very rushed and very random and the show has been slow burn so I feel like we could use some of those episodes for more building and less slow burn. Okay bye!

As unprofessional as the police are to be talking openly about case details in public, they are correct about what happened. They figured it all out very quickly. They were able to see through the suspects’ lies and gathered evidence. They’re NOT as incompetent and easily fooled as she thought they would be. So I maintain that she’s just been making everything way more messy than it needs to be. Just report the crimes when they happen, so even if somehow the first time they “can’t do anything” there’s a paper trail of the history. Then getting these people locked up or at the very least a restraining order should be straightforward. She has a very strong case. She was even going to go to school to be a lawyer. She MUST know she’s in a position to get legal protection. But instead she planned and executed a murder. She is guilty, even if her dad was scum. So what, is she going to somehow keep coming across people bad enough to “deserve it” just so she has an excuse to be clumsily manipulative for the audience’s sake? And she was scouted because she’s pretty, but how does that in any way mean she can act? Or are they saying her looks are good enough to carry her bc people really just want to watch pretty starlets? I mean I guess that’s kinda true… going by reviews for a lot of shows. I’m curious about the adult timeline where she’s an actress, but this is so silly, I think I’m gonna drop it. Maybe I'll give it 1 more episode. Ugh.

I have to wonder why none of these assaults are ever reported outright? Like last episode, the kids didn’t tell the hospital or cops that the stepmom tried to kill her? Or that they were going to use her for CP? No one in the hospital noticed the evidence? No one asked the kids what happened at ALL? Or the harassment, stalking, and social media stuff at her job? Strangers are creating intense online noise about her, posting her picture all over the place, because she's a pretty waitress. Taking creepy voyeuristic photos of her every day. Even if she doesn't care about that, her dad stalking her, breaking into her house, attacking her for money? Like there’s SO many times she could take quick legal action and solve her problems. She initially wanted to be a lawyer, so she would know this. But she needs to do everything in a roundabout, convoluted way. She seems to innately dislike and distrust the law, but we never see any reason canonically WHY. She's just never interacted with them at all. And apparently there’s apparently no CCTV anywhere? Or is she just not interested in the mountain of evidence of crimes she could easily report?

And it’s still airing but I pay for like the more expensive membership so I can watch the final episode. I do not remember a single thing from the show. They are about to get nuked. Deafening fucking silence, miserable character work in the show. We need some music oh my God, deafening silence. Now the music doesn’t fit. Negative or on the bike. I’d write down all the memories before they’re gone. This show feels so random. We’re losing me right now. At least he’s slim thick. Okay bye!
