Three aimless, drifting mainland Chinese youth rent rooms from an uptight opera lover and their tale is beautifully told in the movie "Buddha Mountain". Li Yu's second collaboration with Fan Bing Bing also include Chen Berlin (In time with you), Fei Long and Sylvia Chang.

Nan Fang is tough, care free bar singer, Ding Bo is a illegal courier who's avoiding college entrance exam and Fatso is his side kick with no apparent job. This three party hard, hop freight trains, get into trouble again to solve it in same carefree manner. They lodge with a Peking opera bluff when they are evicted from their apartment. How they deal with this huge generation gap on their own when they are also dealing with their own problems covers the rest of the story.

This movie is well scripted, very well edited, good ost and has a solid cast. I have to mention the cinematography which is so real that it gives you the feel as if you're actually there. The view from the train top and bridge makes me want to go there right now.

Lastly, I will recommend it to anyone willing to watch a soulful tale of love and loss.

After seeing the reviews for this I thought I'd give it a go and I was not disappointed!
It had a bit of everything, one minute I was laughing then the next I was hiding under my blanket. I thought the story was great and the acting was so good that, even though the story is supernatural, its still believable. Some parts of the film were predicable but thats to be expected in any film.
The acting was just amazing, I can't fault it at all. They pulled off the comedic scenes perfectly and had me laughing till my belly hurt. I had never seen the leads in anything else before, but they was so good I'm going to watch more of there work. Lee Min Ki facial expressions were a highlight for me!
This is a film I will be watching over and over again.

This film is basically the definition of "artsy". Probably unwatchable to some, but unusual (in a good way) in concept and execution. The parallels between the stories of the various Annes make the thing seem more like a cohesive story as a whole and less like a mishmash of oddly-paced scenes, which is how it seemed to me at first. The fact that this is a Korean film performed mostly in English by non-native English speakers adds sort of a subtextual narrative about communication, which is most interesting indeed. I wouldn't recommend this to everyone, but it's worth a watch if you're interested in films that have more to do with construction than plot.

One of my first and favorite Korean dramas is 'White Christmas.' Reading the synopsis of this, it seemed a bit like it, so I gave it a try. Other than that little bit you know ahead of time though, nothing else about this movie is really spectacular. It's what you'd expect to see in a Japanese horror movie.

I can't really compliment or complain about the acting in this. Much like the movie itself, nothing about the acting stood out either. My favorite person had to be the one in the black rat mask. To me, one of the top ways to make a movie killer scary is to make it seem like they're thoroughly enjoying what they do, and they did that flawlessly. Skipping and jumping around while tossing in cute squeaks of enjoyment every now and then.

Aside from the end credits and a song that somewhat plays an important role in the movie, I don't remember anything about the music here. As for rewatching it, I really don't know. It wasn't amazing, but it was short, so I could see myself watching it again if I ever needed a way to fill time.

Overall, the movie was too confusing to make much sense, so I can't score it high. It just seemed to jump from one scene to the next sometimes. I feel like adding another 20-30 minutes to this would've really helped.

The story for this movie is amazing. There are always so many movies and TV shows about teen mothers, so seeing one actually being about a teen father for once is fantastic and a much needed change. The only reason I had to dock a point and score the story as 9 is because of the last 15-20 minutes. It felt incredibly rushed and absolutely unnecessary. Really killed the movie for me that was, up until that point, perfect.

Jang Geun Suk was awesome in his role as the teenager who suddenly has to take care of a kid he never wanted. I was originally hesitant to watch this movie because I wasn't a fan of 'You're Beautiful' at all, but I'm glad that I watched this anyway.

Moon Mason was absolutely adorable. Park Myung Soo as his voice was equally amazing.

The music was enjoyable. Thinking about it now, nothing sticks out, but I remember enjoying it while I was watching.

Whether or not I'd rewatch this, I'm still unsure about. If I did, I'd have to just go up until the last 20 minutes or so and then stop, but what fun is that when watching something? I loved the comedic parts of this movie though. There were a few times I was laughing so hard that I ended up in tears.

Overall, I enjoyed it. I went into this expecting comedy at the beginning and that abruptly turning into a romance story in the middle. I was, fortunately, incorrect. As much as I loved that though, I could only give this a 6.

My back page is directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita, is a movie set on late 60s and early 70s radical student movement in Japan.The two main characters, a not-so-noble revolutionary and not-so-driven journalist are played by Kenichi Matsuyama and Tsumabuki Satoshi to perfection. It saddens me that I've never heard of Tsumabuki, confesseing my guilt here and accepting your awesomeness,Sir! And Matsuyama is just like a Bogart, shapes himself to whatever given, this time a spineless, deluded leftist rebel. The movie's pace is similar to that of revolution and journalism, all about waiting for the right moment. 60s and 70s, in the era of change and revolution, this less known movement is rages mostly in the mind of it's attendees with less physical impact. Both the rebels and oppressors are left without cause and observers dazed and confused.

It has all it takes to be "never heard of exceptionally good" movie. If you are a fan of that type like me, welcome aboard to a enthralling journey!

The Movie is about 2 Married Women who aren't satisfied with their marriage and have an affair with other men. The story itself goes back and forth from one couple to the other. The actors do a great job displaying affection towards each other. Steamy scenes were very realistic, which isn't too common in Korean Movies/Dramas.

Overall I thought it was an OK movie, wouldn't exactly say it was a great movie. Only reason I gave this movie a try in the first place was because of Lee Min Ki. So if you want to watch a more a mature movie that will make you laugh, then give it a try and enjoy ^^

WARNING to the younger viewers the sex scenes aren't very explicit (no major nude scenes) but I would mostly recommended to the more mature audience.
