Don't expect any cute moments nor just love in this movie.
I just don't know what to say about this movie I couldn't watch the whole movie so I just skipped to the end of the movie. I'm so shocked because I thought we wouldn't see real porn in this movie I was expecting something else but I got disappointed.The acting in this movie sucks and the mains don't have any sparks nor the love because that love was just sex and then out of nowhere the "lonely guy" was in the relationship or it was his ex I couldn't know it. Then the man from the start just go around the city just trying to find "love" and later he just goes and make out with random people. And the start was shocked too.
And the end what the heck was that he comes back because he realize that the "lonely guy" was the one he was looking for meaning he found love and he really though that he would still be there.. I am not sad about the sad ending I am more mad that I watched this movie I never in fact gave this low rating but believe me don't waste your time if you're not into watching 2 hours of porn.

Love the love
“Love Untangled” is a beautifully crafted drama. The story is about pure love—no sacrifices, no hatred, no cheating—only trust, belief, and understanding. The plot is well-written and skillfully executed. Every actor delivers an amazing performance. The last scene, when the male protagonist cried, was so deep, intense, and emotional. I was completely drawn into the story; it felt so real that I didn’t want it to end.I absolutely loved it!

oh the melodrama
Algorithms surfaced this while I was searching for something else. With English subtitles no less. Not in the MDL database and almost no information on letterboxd, so the best way to decide if it was worth the time was to just watch it =DWas it worth it? There are better films. It's very melodramatic and feels like it belongs to an era far earlier than 2005. I was initially thinking 1950s, but now that I've seen a few from Film Archive Thailand's holdings, it's very different. What it most reminds me of in feel and tone is the 1959 Mae Nak Phra Khanong, although the only available version of that I've found has a very strange redub so perhaps the (unknown to me) redub date is a better comparison? It doesn't feel like anything I've seen from early 2000s Thailand so far, though I do have some leads for possible comparisons. Apologies for geeking out here. I enjoyed the sense of stepping back in time, not just in the content but in the very style of film-making.
It's not long and it moves at a good clip. Lots of things happen even though there isn't all that much story or depth of characterisation. I like melodrama and learning new things, and found it entertaining, so all in all it was worth my time. Would it be worth yours? If you have a spare hour forty minutes and a curious mind, give it a go and find out =D

Waste of time
I watched the movie Sweet and Sour and honestly, it felt like a waste of 1 hour and 24 minutes. The trailer seemed promising, which is why I decided to watch it, but it turned out to be a disappointment. I believe in true love and value true sacrifice, so I was rooting for the main couple’s chemistry from the very beginning. Unfortunately, the male lead ditched her and got involved with his colleague.Towards the end, I thought he would realize his mistakes, go back to her, and apologize. Instead, the director ruined the ending, leaving me confused. The story didn’t have proper closure. It showed him blaming his boss and then proposing to his new girlfriend, asking her not to go abroad.
I really disliked the movie. I felt deeply connected to the female protagonist, but the story failed to do justice to her character.

Craziness mixed with heartfelt moments.
A fun, crazy watch. I quite enjoyed this film due to the craziness and the funny moments that came out of it. It was entertaining to watch all of the crazy moments between the two leads. On one hand, it’s creepy and mysterious, with Gil-Gu experiencing all these bizarre, mind-bending situations as he tries to figure out what’s happening to Sun-Ji. On the other hand, it’s surprisingly funny and heartfelt at times, especially as he goes from being just curious to genuinely caring about her and wanting to break the curse. Although, it doesn’t offer much of a rewatch value it’s a great one time watch for a romantic comedy.Was this review helpful to you?
Sweet but also depressing — but in a way that many Asian movies turn out to be.
I did enjoy this one and it was sweet and heart-warming at certain moments, with great performances and lessons. It did end up being a little more cliche than I'd expected though; given the blurb, I did not expect the plot to revert to some of those same tropes we've seen so many times before in other Asian media.Was this review helpful to you?

Light-hearted, but might've been better as a drama.
Not really my type of humor (which seems to be often my issue with the comedy genre, especially those from Taiwan), but it has a few fun moments and a decent story.Pacing-wise, it feels very bloated for a film and the tone jumps around a lot — I often thought this might've worked better as a drama paced similarly to Oh No! Here Comes Trouble, which sort of did a better job of balancing different tones and exploring its characters.

not my kind of genre : juvenile humor- watch the awkward insecure girl & laugh
It makes me sad to not like this & i want to support Korean content on Netflix, but this made me want to quit only 10 minutes in. My problem is that this is not my kind of drama. High school is a hard pass for me. The angst, the awkwardness, the whole mentality, the fact that you can't really have a satisfying romance with a satisfying conclusion because; it's high school ! I tried to like this, but it got me cringing at the humor & when the female lead starts to pursue her crush, you know she's going to make a fool of herself & we are supposed to laugh. Again, this kind of humor is a hard pass for me. I've got other dramas I will enjoy betterWas this review helpful to you?

1"If life knocks you down, get back up"
Karate Kid: Legends was the sixth addition to the franchise that began in 1984. Full of nostalgia by calling back old familiar characters and tropes, KKL didn't exactly pave a new cinematic experience but as a popcorn movie it delivered some fun moments for fans.Li Fong is training under sifu Han in Beijing, China. He’s working to overcome his feelings of guilt about the death of his brother who had been attacked and killed. His mother doesn’t want him to practice kung fu, fearing she’ll lose a second son. When she lands a job in New York City, she makes Li promise no more kung fu. When attempting to order a stuffed crust pizza at a local pizzeria (sacrilege in NYC!) he meets Mia and her dad who owns the place. The two hit it off, something her ex-boyfriend and brutal MMA fighter, Conor, is none too pleased about. In order to help Mia’s family and himself, Li may have to break his promise to his mother.
KKL’s poster prominently features Jackie Chan/Mr. Han and Ralph Macchio (Daniel LaRusso). The two don’t really show up until nearly an hour into the film. The first hour sets the stage for Li’s motivation to fight in the Five Burroughs Tournament. The second half is mostly training montages with the two mentors flipping poor Li Fong all over Fetterman’s garden roof.
Mr. Miyagi’s family was retrofitted to have a connection with the Hans-“Two branches, one tree.” I wasn’t disappointed that the two teachers weren’t more prominently featured, this was Li Fong’s story. Plus, Jackie is getting older and Ralph is an actor, not an accomplished martial artist. The elders provided humor for the film and gave Li the support he needed to heal and compete. I thought Ben Wang as Li Fong was utterly charming and his authentic martial arts skills helped to sell the fights. Sadie Stanley was one of the better girlfriends and better actresses in the franchise. Wen Ming Na (Disney’s first Mulan and Agents of Shield) didn’t have nearly enough to do. I always enjoy her presence in films and television shows. Joshua Jackson (Dawson’s Creek and Fringe) added another fight style as a retired boxer who was in debt to loan sharks.
The plot followed much of the original’s framework---a fish out of water with a single mother who had to deal with a violent opponent and ex-boyfriend to the girl he had a crush on. The evil gym “We don’t fight for points, we fight to kill!” was badly underdeveloped. Aside from one run-in with Conor and his Demolition posse, Li didn’t suffer much as the new kid in a strange land. He had a supportive mother, girlfriend, girlfriend’s father, and not one, but two mentors! Thankfully, the infamous and totally useless Crane Kick was not used. The equally useless Dragon Kick was but at least they figured out how to make it workable. I loved that Daniel-san made the comment that you can’t teach someone karate in a week. Say it ain’t so---“Wax on, wax off!”
At ninety minutes, the story flew leaving precious little room for character or story development. This was a stream-lined film that often used the familiar characters and plot points to take shortcuts that weren’t completely satisfying. The original Karate Kid was a 1980’s cheese fest with a heart of gold. 2025’s Karate/Kung Fu Kid lacked the original’s heartwarming moments like Daniel had with Mr. Miyagi (d*mn to the depths WWII internment camps!). Just like we probably didn’t need multiple Rocky or Jurassic Park films, we probably didn’t need another addition to the KK family. However, if you enjoy the Karate Kid paradigm, Legends would be one to add to your watch list. It might not have been memorable or groundbreaking but it was 90 minutes of mindless entertainment that kept the fists, kicks, and gentle humor flowing.

Sensory Suspense: Non-Stop Action and Nail-Biting Thriller
This film’s strength lies in its ability to make the viewers empathize with the main character who, as a deaf woman, must overcome many obstacles in her everyday life. This greatly enhances the nail-biting atmosphere. Certain scenes notably cut off the sound completely, making the viewers feel as though they were in her shoes; not just showing, but making us feel the same vulnerability and frustration as Kyeong Mi.The use of sensory suspense coupled with the various turns of events fully captivates the viewer’s attention, and the different intertwined narratives and non-stop action made the movie fly by.
This is a great film not only for people who love thrillers, but also for anyone wanting to dip their toes in this genre.

At first, I didn’t want to watch it because I thought it would be the same as other stories. But this one actually has a deeper meaning—you know, when your love isn’t reciprocated, it really hurts. I Will Be Your Eyes
I watched this movie twice, and each time it touched me deeply.It's a story about young people who experience youthful love and emotions, which are eventually replaced by daily routine. Their life becomes mundane. They love each other deeply, but don't yet know how to reconcile everyday life with their career ambitions. Misunderstandings and stubbornness lead to a devastating break-up, but they still miss each other. The more time passes, the harder it becomes to renew their relationship... Meanwhile, his eyesight is deteriorating due to retinitis pigmentosa, an incurable condition that inevitably leads to blindness.
Finally, they reunite. This part of the dialogue: 'But my eyes are getting worse,' 'I will be your eyes,' makes me cry.
Tan Jianci, with every single role, proves he's a brilliant actor. In this movie, his on-screen relationship with Zhang Jingyi, who is nine years younger, makes them a great couple. This is the first movie where I've really watched her, and she is a truly beautiful woman and a good actress. I wish her all the best in her career :)

Fantastic!
I loved this movie very much! I like sciencefiction and the combination with the Chinese culture is great. It's the first Chinese sciencefiction i have ever seen. I was a great story.All the actors did an amazing job. Matt Damon is a fantastic actor and i was so happy that one of my two favorite Chinese actresses had a lead role in this movie, Jing Tian is amazing!
The visuals were stunning and the music perfect.
This was the second time i watched it and i will definatly watch it again in the future.

Real life drama
Every mother–child relationship has its profound drama: from the wonder of birth, to the intimacy of growing up, to the breaking apart when children start living independently—while mothers remain present with their children invisibly, from behind. This is the main theme of this movie: the daughter who begins an independent life, and the mother who is always there, one way or another. This is also suggested by the literal translation of the Korean title: Gyung Ah's Daughter.The focus of the story is on the struggles of the daughter, Yeon Soo. Her problems change her life dramatically, and we sympathize with her, cheering for her well-being. The mother, Gyung Ah, is in the background, but her role is crucial, and the relationship between mother and daughter is what makes this drama so realistic and relatable. The actors all deliver strong performances, coming across as real people. Especially Ha Yoon-kyung—her subtle expressions reveal deep emotions. The strength of this movie lies in its realistic drama and believable acting. But beware: the film is slow and requires emotional immersion.
We all have certain issues with our mums, but I believe that the motherly connection is always a force for good, even when we don’t see it.
