cinematic, super cute and chill
I loved this because there is little drama, just cute stories about women in different walks of life meeting each other and changing each other's lives not with grand romantic gestures or dramatic plots, but quiet, cute moments. Very slice of Life, chill and with some cooking, farm montages. The cinematography and scenery was absolutely stunning, and I would rewatch this for sure.Was this review helpful to you?
When a Kind Man Slowly Breaks Under the Weight of Life | A Short Review of Wuhai
"Wuhai (2021)_Huang Xuan"Wuhai is a quiet but deeply unsettling film about love, financial pressure, and the gradual collapse of an ordinary man. Its desert landscapes, lake, mountains, and surreal imagery beautifully mirror Yang Hua’s increasingly fragile state of mind.
Huang Xuan gives the film its emotional core. His performance is subtle rather than dramatic: at first, Yang Hua feels gentle, simple, and sincere, but as frustration and helplessness build, small changes in his expressions, posture, and voice reveal his psychological deterioration. What makes Huang’s performance especially effective is that even when Yang Hua becomes angry and destructive, you can still see the kind-hearted man he was underneath.
The film can sometimes feel overly bleak, but Huang Xuan’s restrained and deeply human performance makes Yang Hua believable and heartbreaking. A powerful character study of an ordinary man slowly pushed to his limits.

Okay the girl goes distance for the guy and finally the guy sees it. Exactly the shit we want.Love it.
It remined me of my High School when i chased a certain guy but he was in love with my friend.
But i am happy for her. There is nothing to hate.
There are some real face cards on play and they doing great too. That actor dude his face card is surrel.

Adorable and funny
"It was quite the sight!" hahahahaI really liked this movie, it was both adorable and funny.
It was a simple but adorable story about insecurities in dating. I loved the supportive colleague.
Well produced, good visuals, it had only background music and it was good.
The acting was very good and the mains had good chemistry. The kisses were good.
I recommend watching this movie.

Good awareness about scams but
"Because people have two hearts.One is greedy and other is unsatisfied"
Their victim, Sheng, was someone who just wanted to achieve what he worked hard for, but the nepo baby got the position . I do get the main idea of the film, which was to spread awareness about betting scams . But I can't look away from the root cause of the problem; they fell into the trap because the system and companies which promised them good future failed!
The law failed to protect the girl Anna; that's why she fell victim to the scam too.
Don't blame people if they dream big after giving their 100%

realistic gay story
this is not just a story, it speaks about what lgbtq people deal with, a good topic with a good ending.the struggle about getting accepted the way you are by your family is tough, it felt natural so i enjoyed watching it. it was well done in my opinion and you can see all their perspectives

Why God?
There is a famous old Korean movie with the same title from 1977, so this is some sort of remake or reimagining of the story. From the very beginning, it’s clear that this is an amateur film because none of the actors really know how to act, and there are a lot of them. That said, it’s commendable that they are dedicated to their roles and fully immersed in them. From a production standpoint, you can see that the people involved really tried to make everything look convincing. There are plenty of shots and a lot of details.The child actors, who carry the main story, deserve special praise.
The story itself is beautiful and inspiring, but unfortunately it lacks a bit of tact in its narrative development. Some scenes are too long, some are unnecessary, and some are poorly integrated into the whole. The prayer scene and the conversation with the priest were particularly interesting to me. It doesn’t provide a solution, but it adds some depth to the story. What I liked most, however, was the music — both the melancholic instrumental pieces and the song about the mother who is no longer there.

Only one point of view
I wished we also saw the story of the cheater, because i had a feeling there was a whole lot more behind that story. Now you only saw the story of one side of the relationship. I would have like it a lot more if i had seen both sides.The visuals were ok, there was no music only with the end credit.
The mains had good chemistry and the kisses and NC scene were great.

It's about how two people with a very difficult fate become a secluded place for each other, almost a home. Chen Nian is desperately trying to break out, to arrange a better life for himself, and Xiao Bei is just trying to survive in a world where he was left with almost no chance. And between them is born not a beautiful story, but a quiet support: they understand each other without unnecessary words, and that's all the strength.It is especially catchy that the film does not hide the cruelty of the system and pain, but at the same time leaves room for cautious hope: sometimes it's enough just for someone to be there and understand everything. I wish everyone who was poisoned had such a person. This movie beats not with loud scenes, but with how accurately it shows this very need - so that you are simply not left alone. A very deep and honest movie that doesn't let go for a long time

This movie is yet another reason why I adore Hirokazu Koreeda’s work. He showcases excellence in Japanese cinematography. The story follows two brothers who are separated as their parents navigate their own struggles, trying to find a way to live together again as a happy family. It’s both sad and fascinating how the children observe so much around them; despite their youth, they learn valuable lessons.The brothers long to be together and restore their family, but they also come to understand that their parents are happier apart. Ryu wishes for his father's music career to flourish, believing it will bring happiness, while Koichi prioritizes the broader world over savig his family . The film effectively illustrates how children comprehend far more than adults often realize, they are keen observers and, ultimately, the ones who endure the most pain in such situations.

Park Se Ri and her posse work tirelessly to find the perfect moment for her to confess to Kim Hyeon. She returns to the secluded beach where they both ended up swimming one day only to rescue new student Han Yun Seok from drowning instead. Park’s posse helps Han out as his leg is broken and soon he’s working with them to create origami love eggs for Kim. When Park discovers that Han’s mom has a process to straighten her unruly locks, she further ingratiates herself to him hoping the mom will give her a discount on the expensive treatment.
The ahjussi elephant in the room was that Gong Myoung was 31 in 2025 compared to Shin Eun Soo’s 22. If you are a fan of Cha Woo Min, he’s a small supporting role rather than main character. The twin sister mentioned prominently in the intro faded away almost immediately. None of the characters in the friend group were developed enough to tell them apart. Their sole goal was to support Park Se Ri which made her come across as self-centered. She wasn’t afraid to be manipulative with them or with Han Yun Seok. The first hour with her whining, ranting, and pouting was hard to watch. Only as she started appreciating the person next to her, did she settle down and think about someone else. The second half of the film was a much easier watch for me.
Unlike characters who are considered ugly because they wear glasses and capitulate to wearing contacts, Park’s inner war with her hair became less important as she matured and accepted herself. After all, she had loyal friends, found love, and had a great family. Humans always seem to want what they don’t have be it straight hair or curly. The first half of the film had Park Se Ri living her life superficially, in the second half she dug a little deeper to discover other people had their own problems and she needed to be a friend to them even if it required sacrifice on her part.

A strange but memorable movie.
This movie is lesson on how to portray nostalgia on screen. Whatever your sweet memories are about the past, they do never come with logic. This movie is strange but beautiful. I found myself watching this movie after a slump because any modern movies today have become such a cliche- big budget apocalypse storyline. This movie reminded me, really, what cinema really is, how is it different from any form of media, and what makes it magical to watch. If people come holding logic to watch this movie, then they cannot enjoy this. Absurdity and surrealism is so well done in Japanese movies, unlike European ones, which for one reason I always found forced, except Fellini. This movie really makes me want to watch all the director's filmography. If someone loves Love Letter and Taste of Tea, they will certainly love this too.Was this review helpful to you?
if you've never seen a chinese sci-fi movie, watch this!
for my first chinese sci-fi movie, this feels like a blast. very solid storyline that actually respects the logical scientific aspect very much. explained the theories in the right amount: not too much (that it feels like a lecture) and not too little (that would left the audience confused). the CGI execution is very well done considering the amount of objects that need to be depicted. the drama bit incorporating the scientific aspect is a nice touch though might be confusing for some. personally, i don't like rewatching movies but if you're into rewatching, a lot of rigid details could be picked up along the way. overall, a very entertaining movie and plays as a hard critique to AI-dependence at the same time.Was this review helpful to you?
