A MASTERPIECE !!!!
To be honest, I don't even know how to put into words how much I loved this drama. This was not only my first Chinese drama, but my first Chinese historical drama. This drama will always hold a special place in my heart. I do not know how I managed to finish this 50 episode drama in three days, but the no sleep was worth it! This drama's storyline is just so incredibly complex and intricate, and the amount of emotional whiplash that you get from this drama is honestly insane. This drama just exceeded my expectations, and became my entire personality after I watched it back in 2019. This drama will have you on the edge of your seat but also have your heart aching for Wei Wuxian and the amount of pain and suffering he endures throughout his life. The subtle romantic undertones in this drama were brilliant! Lan Wangji and his micro-expressions just made my heart hurt so bad:(( And the relationship between Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng...yeah don't even get me started on how much they broke my heart like NOOOO YOU'RE BROTHERS TALK THINGS OUT DON'T FIGHT !!! I cannot tell you the amount of times I yelled at my computer or cried my eyes out watching this drama, and this is definitely one that will have you feel as if your heart has been ripped out of your chest. It's honestly just a masterpiece from start to finish, and the entire cast is just so incredible!! Oh, and don't even get me started on the cinematography and the OSTs of this drama <3 (SO GORGEOUS)Was this review helpful to you?
Her first love and last love <3
This drama is honestly one of my absolute favorites. It's just so heartwarming and has the perfect amount of angst. It does have some cliche tropes, such as brother's best friend, but it honestly just works so well here. This drama was so comforting, and the love between Sang Zhi and Duan Jiaxu was just so:(( This drama made me cry and laugh so much, and it will forever be one of my absolute favorites. I love Sang Zhi's friends, and how they were there for her. They were also some of her biggest cheerleaders. I absolutely adored this drama, and I sometimes go back and rewatch my favorite episodes. I also just love how shameless Duan Jiaxu was, and also the bickering between him, Sang Zhi, and Sang Yan. Sang Zhi and Sang Yan's sibling bond is just so:(( Sang Yan can come off as kind of harsh and as if he doesn't love Sang Zhi, but that is not the case at all. He is fiercely protective of her and dotes on her in his own way. Their sibling bond just made me sob my eyes out.

Action-packed medical drama with great characters!
The high rating is definitely deserved here. I'm a huge fan of medical/hospital series and was very satisfied with the drama. To start off, this drama managed to avoid all the pitfalls that medical series typically have:-Too much focus on uninteresting hospital politics. Trauma Code has this element too but it provides a good villain in the background, not something that takes half of the runtime.
-Too much focus on patients and their backstories. I really dislike when medical series do the "case-of-the-week" style where the series focuses on one or a few patients every episode and their backstories. Medical series should focus on the doctors. There can be some patients where some background story is given, but it should be not be the main focus. Trauma code was excellent in this aspect too, focus was on the doctors throughout the series.
-Series starts to resemble a soap opera with unnecessary character drama and relationships. Trauma Code had a very likeable cast with well-acted and interesting characters, and it didn't have any unnecessary drama among those characters. Trauma code also didn't have any romance in it, which worked in its favor for sure.
-Not enough focus on the actual medical side of things. Many medical series take place in hospitals, yes, but they don't show actual traumatic injuries or surgeries in detail. If a medical series succeeds in this aspect, it gets a lot of points from me. Trauma code certainly did, we are shown many different accidents, injuries, surgeries, and operations.
And to add to those points, Trauma Code has a lot personality and heart to it. Characters develop throughout the series and every character is interesting from start to finish. Ju Ji-hoon did amazing in the role of Baek Kang-Hyuk, an exceptionally skilled and charismatic trauma surgeon, who also has a mysterious past. All the other actors were great too. I really liked Ha Young's nurse character, she was funny and very supportive towards others, especially towards Choo Young-woo's character who sometimes needs a little confidence boost and is unsure about himself.
Also, the pacing is great. There's just enough slower character-building moments to balance the great medical action. No boring moments at all!
All in all, a fantastic medical series with interesting characters and amazing medical action! My only criticism would be that the drama is too short haha :D A rare case where I really want the drama to continue and have more episodes. Would easily give this a rating of 9,5/10, maybe even 10/10.

So much fun and heartwarming <3
This drama was one of my first modern cdramas that I ever watched, and it did not disappoint! I absolutely adore Tong Yao, and I think she is a strong female character in that she is not to be underestimated. I also love how they made her actually really good at playing the game they were playing in this drama, as I feel like that's kind of rare when it comes to esports dramas. I also love how her friendships with the ZGDX team develops slowly, and how they all slowly become fiercely protective of her and see her as their sister. The found family in this is honestly so wholesome! The romance was SO GOOD!! I loved the amount of bickering that Tong Yao and Lu Sicheng had, and I absolutely adored how Tong Yao is not afraid to speak her mind. At first, Lu Sicheng isn't the nicest to her, but at the same time, he also carries her on his back after she gets drunk, and also gave her his jacket when it was raining. He also basically confessed that he liked her when he said that his type is someone who can beat him at games. And when Tong Yao defeated him in that match that they had at the ZGDX base, it was clear that he fell for her right then and there.
His confidence is pursuing her is honestly unmatched. He's also super shameless, which I honestly loved (iykyk). It's also the way in which Sicheng's personality literally changes so drastically when they actually start dating. He literally becomes so clingy and soft, the complete opposite of his "cold" and aloof demeanor he usually has. He also wants to spoil the crap out of her, and I honestly loved that. I also love that he doesn't undermine her abilities as a gamer as well.
Another thing I loved about this drama was how it touched on the dark side of being famous. I I honestly thought the crazy fan situation in this drama was scary and also insane that there are some people who would go that far to get noticed by their faves. And I felt so bad for Tong Yao, who literally just fell in love with Sicheng and was getting harassed online for it. That honestly made me so angry and sad. I also love that Tong Yao never apologized for falling in love with him, and declaring that she has done nothing wrong, for she is only human. I absolutely love how unapologetic Tong Yao is.
One thing that absolutely broke my heart was how Sicheng starts to pull away from Tong Yao after the crazy fan situation unfolds, as he tries to deal with it all on his own. I also loved that scene where they're talking to each other through Sicheng's bedroom door, and how they finally have an open and honest conversation. We see Sicheng fully break down, admitting that he's not as strong as he appears to be, and I just felt for him so much, as he was trying to protect Tong Yao, but was also suffering in silence and affecting the team dynamic. That scene in the drama was heartbreaking, but it was also so incredibly important for their relationship as a whole.
Overall, this drama was amazing, and I highly recommend it!!

Growth, sacrifice, and the consequences of love
At the heart of the story is Jin Mi, a frost flower fairy born to the Flower Deity and the Water Immortal. Raised in isolation within the Flower Realm, her life is carefully controlled—most notably by a magical pill that suppresses her emotions, preventing her from experiencing love or desire. Because of this, Jin Mi grows up innocent and unaware of the depth of human (and immortal) feelings. Her quiet existence changes when she rescues Xu Feng, the Fire Immortal. At her own request, he brings her to the Heavenly Realm, where she is introduced to a world far more complex and dangerous than anything she has known. There, she becomes entangled in celestial power struggles and the growing tension between Xu Feng and his half-brother, Run Yu, the Night Immortal.
As Jin Mi’s suppressed emotions slowly awaken, her bond with Xu Feng deepens into something powerful—but fragile. At the same time, Run Yu’s quiet affection turns into something darker, shaped by betrayal, loneliness, and ambition. What begins as a love triangle evolves into a tragic and layered conflict that affects not only their lives but the fate of all realms.
What makes Ashes of Love especially memorable is how it treats its supporting characters. The God of Love, often seen as playful and lighthearted, carries a deeper emotional weight as the story unfolds. His role in guiding and influencing love contrasts sharply with the pain and consequences that love brings to the main characters. His ending feels bittersweet—still embodying love, yet shaped by the sorrow he has witnessed.
The Snake Immortal’s story adds another layer of tragedy. Loyal and sincere, her devotion highlights the recurring theme of unreturned or complicated love. Her fate serves as a quiet but powerful reminder that not all love stories are meant to be fulfilled, reinforcing the drama’s emotional depth beyond the central trio.
Visually, the drama is stunning, with ethereal costumes and beautifully crafted realms that enhance the dreamlike quality of the story. But it’s the emotional storytelling that truly stands out—love here is not simple or idealized. It is tested, broken, misunderstood, and ultimately transformed.
Ashes of Love is not just a romance—it’s a story about growth, sacrifice, and the consequences of love when it is suppressed, manipulated, or misunderstood. It leaves you thinking long after it ends, with characters whose choices feel painfully human despite their immortal nature.

Hauntingly Phenomenal
Love Beyond the Grave is a beautiful work of art that shattered my soul, a haunting series that stays with you long after the final scene. Dilraba Dilmurat and Chen Feiyu have strong, natural chemistry, and their emotional push and pull lifts even the smallest moments. Its romance and quiet heartbreak is profound yet unfold with restraint. Every glance and unspoken word matters. The story leans into longing and fate, drawing you into a world where love feels both transcendent and fragile, and where every choice carries a cost. Highly recommended even for viewers who normally avoid tragedy. I’m not one of those people myself, yet I’ve rewatched the true ending multiple times because the series lifts you back up after breaking your heart. Was this review helpful to you?

Potential to be a great drama, but the excecution was not there for me.
I just want to start off this review by saying that in no way am I trying to undermine anyone who has genuinely enjoyed this drama. If you enjoyed it, I absolutely love that for you! This entire review is just my own opinions, so please don't get offended! I'm not trying to offend anyone or deter anyone from watching this (I'm simply just sharing my thoughts). Ok, with all of that out of the way, this drama just wasn't for me.I decided to watch this after seeing a few people talk about it on my social media feed. I was initially curious because this had a reverse harem situation, and I honestly have never watched that in a drama, only in anime. Now, there are some instances where the reverse harem trope works. In this case, it just didn't for me. Xiang Liu, the white-haired demon advisor, was just not for me. I mean, he literally hurt Xiao Liu MULTIPLE times and she still went back to him??? Yeah...No. Also, Cang Xuan? I don't know, I didn't really like his character either. He was literally the cause of Xiao Liu's injuries at some point and also defends A Nian when she's clearly being so rude towards Xiao Liu for no reason at all either than the fact that she's not "rich." She literally looks down on Xiao Liu and makes some nasty comments towards her, and Cang Xuan still defends her?? If you ask me, that's annoying.
As for Shi Qi, I will say he's the nicest out of the male leads. He's very sweet and constantly looks after Xiao Liu after she saves him and nurses him back to health. I will also say that his backstory of being tortured by his older brother for three years (I think it was three at least) was very sad, and he didn't deserve that at all, but I just feel like his character was kind of lackluster for me. And again, I only got up to episode fifteen, so maybe they do add some more backstory to his character as the show goes on. For me, the start of this drama was just so slow. I wasn't immediately hooked from the first episode, which usually happens for me with most historical/wuxia dramas. I'm not even sure who the fourth ML is, but I guess I will never find out. This drama honestly had a great story, but it just wasn't executed properly for me.

Nothing Groundbreaking but an Easy Watch
Ive seen most of the reviews that have said this drama was a cheap knock off of Lighter and Princess. It might be, I dont know, I didnt like Lighter and Princess.I watched this drama after a few months of a drama slump and throughly enjoyed it. There is nothing revolutionary that we havent seen in dramas before but the main leads were what kept me watching. I would definitely recommend to giving this drama a try.

Overhyped
It's nothing too bad, but nothing too good either. Personally i think it doesn't live up to the hype.Honestly the only reason why I watched it to the end was because of firstkhao's characters. I was really invested in them. But the other pairs? I couldn't really force myself to care.
Forcebook still lacks chemistry for me, I just can't see them as more than friends/coworkers. (This is just my personal opinion okayyy?)
Yeah overall the chemistry wasn't really there for any of the pairs except firstkhao really... (I promise I'm not biased!!) but that might just be me.
Overall a decent watch, but would I go through it again? Probably not.

Honestly Just Don't Start
It started of brilliantly with the story of Park Seroyi setting up for a story of revenge but it slowly got worse and worse as it became less about the revenge and the weird, tangled love triangle that became oh so repetitive. Especially with Yi Seo and her whiny selfish self. I couldn't even finish the last two episodes. Should've dropped it earlier. Was this review helpful to you?
Siren Kiss Review: Everyone Felt Like a Suspect
OMG... Siren Kiss was wild, but so good. I was literally talking to my TV and iPad, trying to guess who the killer was. Honestly, everyone seemed like a suspect in my opinion. Every episode was layered, complex, and ended with a twist that kept me hooked. Reading other reviews is great, but watching it for yourself is even better. Was this review helpful to you?
What a surprising delight this show turned out to be!
Based on the trailer, you could have assumed this show was going to be a silly piece of fluff.Even though Duang, our male lead, was frequently a silly goofball, I was thoroughly surprised by the depth and soul the show incorporated into particular scenes.
I needed a few episodes to grasp Duang's character, and when he showed his serious side, I was truly impressed by Tee Tee's acting skills. He performed exceptionally well during those scenes. Watching Qin's growth from cold/aloof into a happy, smiling in love puppy was so sweet!
So, after reading the book, I was happy we got to see a lot of the important stuff between Duang and Qin.
And even though I loved every episode, it wasn't totally perfect for me.
If it were up to me, I would have omitted the Jamie/Marvis segments.
The scenes felt out of place and undeveloped, merely occupying time. I would have rather had more filler from the main characters. The Jamie/Marvis scenes would make sense if they were building towards a separate series; otherwise, the finale should have provided resolution. My opinion on this stems from my dislike of the novel Jamie; I found him even more irritating in the book.
Apart from that small nitpicky detail, wholly personal to me, don't be offended if our thoughts don't align, which really didn’t detract from my enjoyment, I loved Duang and Qin so much. They were the cutest puppies and if the execs wanted to throw a season 2 at us, I would be sat to watch. In only 12 episodes, the actors did a wonderful job of showing how their relationship blossomed.
To be loved by Duang the way he worships Qin would warm anyone’s heart!

This is an easy pass
Unfortunately with this series there were more negatives than positives. On paper the show's location and plot could have made this a decent easy to watch BL with focus on the relationship development of the couples with a simplistic plot. Unfortunately the potential was lost.First big issue with the show is the pacing. The first 2-4 episodes are really slow, even if there is three main couples that the show focuses on. The slow start combined with only having 8 eps made especially the last two episodes to feel comical in terms of amount of things happening; there are several serious hospital related illness that get treated, one character reconnects with their mother (this is covered in a couple of scenes), there is a dept issue with a gang involved that gets resolved, a distance relationship that both start and end in the final episode, one the character leaves to his old work back to Bangkok without telling his love interest, then as quickly gets back and the relationship continue as if nothing happened. In a very odd way the show made me feel that they simultaneously didn't have enough plot for three main couples, but also that the relationship archs had to be rushed trough in the end.
The second big issue for me relates to one the couple in particular and I feel bad for the actors, bc a lot of ppl had been hoping to see them in a show together again. Dindin's and Tawan's relationship was a blast from the BL past that I wish we would just not see anymore unless the series is meant to describe a toxic dynamic and environment. Considering the general vibe of the show, having a couple showing their "love" by constantly throwing punches at each other just looked and felt unpleasant as a viewer. With the other two couples there is at least an attempt trough dialogue scenes to build believable relationship, but with Dindin and Tawan the hostility is present to the very end of the show, which really made me question the choice of them still ending up together.
In conclusion:
- I would not recommend this one, everything ends up feeling off.
- After all 8 episodes you will most likely be left with two conflicting feelings; finally it's over and the couples needed more on screen time to feel genuine.
- There is a decent effort to showcase a survivor story of someone dealing with childhood abuse trauma, how this can affect adult relationships and how to work past such trauma, but it's not enough to save the series.
- Let's please not promote punching someone as a sign of showing love, this trope needs to be left to the BL history and stay there.

A drama with a lot of family heart!
After watching Song Wei Long in another show this past week (Shine on Me) I wanted another fix, so I went back and re-watched Go Ahead. I saw this when I first got into Asian dramas, and I wanted to rewatch it to see if I still felt the same about this family story. Now I knew what to expect, the slower paced, longer episodes, I did appreciate the family dynamic a lot more a second watch. The siblings closeness was enjoyable as before. I loved their banter and tight bond.
The dads were fantastic – Mr Lin, especially. Those moments when he was cooking for the family were perfect and I loved how peaceful the family was when it was just the five of them. One of my favorite scenes was when Xiao’s dad took him to the Chinese medicine doctor, it just felt very real and his love for his son came through clearly, though he wasn’t always able to show it.
I wasn’t entirely sure I believed in the romance aspect of the show. It felt like Jian was talked into it instead of falling for Xiao naturally. I did adore how devoted to her he was. His yearning eyes gave me butterflies. And standing up to his disapproving mother had me giddy!
The girl friends were perfect additions and I really enjoyed their side stories. And I covet their cute little apartment!
What stuck with me most from the show were the moms. Oh, they made me have the biggest feelings! And most of those feelings were boiling rage!
These were fully grown adults yet the moms were pulling the strings in their lives! By the end, I could understand Tang Can’s mom maybeeee changing for the better. But there’s no way sweet Ming Yue’s shrill, overbearing mother changed. If we’d had a look into the future, she would still be the same. I was glad the dad wanted a divorce!
Now, let’s get to the vilest villain in this show. Xiao’s mother.
What a vicious piece of work she was.
She was the most insincere snake, and I never once felt she was being genuine in anything she said. She abandoned her young son, blamed him for her mistake, and yet wanted to force him to take care of her while she treated him like crap.
I was furious watching her on screen, her attempts to manipulate Xiao were infuriating.
She could see how utterly miserable she was making her son and yet she clung to him like an octopus on his face. Were we meant to feel sorry for her in the final episode with her inexcusable last ditch action? Were we supposed to feel redeemed by her “nice words” and seemingly changed attitude toward Jian? Because I felt nothing. She did exactly what a narcissistic would do and that was manipulate everyone’s emotions to turn the tides her way again. The best thing Xiao could have done was go no contact with that emotional succubus.
The parents are my biggest pet peeve with these types of characters that appear in most of the shows I watch. (sadly, it’s usually the mothers, which saddens me) Despite the parents' terrible behavior, the child is pushed to forgive and reconcile. Oh, I get steaming mad! I try to understand it’s a cultural difference, but as I see it, you don’t need to redeem every vile character by the finale. This mother was a fine example, I would have been happy if she’d fallen into a bubbling volcano.
It's a testament to all three actresses who played the mothers how great their skills are because the objective was met and I hated them all, lol.
Overall, lovely watch and I’d watch it again one day (fast forwarding through the mom!) The acting was exceptionally good, especially the emotionally heavy scenes. Those guys sure can cry so well!
(Also, I didn't intend for my review to become this long - that's how big my feelings were lollolol )

Rocky Start, Grew On Me Later
I won't lie. I almost dropped this one, but something told me to keep trying and by the time episode 3 ended, I was hooked. This was really well done. The only thing that kept pulling me out of the story was when the dubbing was off. I know China dubs practically everything and I don't fault them for that. It was just very obvious in places and I had to get myself back into things afterwards. And the constant playing of the OST. It's a good song! I just felt it was played a bit TOO much. Otherwise, great show! Was this review helpful to you?
