Y'all asked for romcom and they delivered
Not an avid kdrama fans but I do watch drama and series. This isn't Sex and City romcom, it's like of those Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore romcom. I expected it to be silly and fun, but I did not expect the angst of her breakup and those feelings of lost when she fell in love again.Mirae is shown as stubborn and cool, not a lovey dovey woman. However, in the dating app she's like most other women who are clingy and girly when they're dating men. I have to admit I started from ep 5, that's how I do with all kdramas and I don't want to get spoiled of the endings from social media! And then I completed ep 1-4 this morning.
My favorite are those last few ep when Mirae are living the real world dating life, but in general you can rewatch any episodes as you go and you will get some fun out of it without miss. If you want cringy romance, CEO Siwoo deliver. If you prefer fluttering first love, Eunho man he's so fine. Gyeung-il is like the guy our parents forbid us from seeing but we'll get to live our best life of freedom. Kyeungnam, while seen as cold he's actually cares deeply about Mirae. I like the chemistry with all of them, if it wasn't for Kyeungnam fighting for his love, it'd be hard to root for him.

One of the best watches!
After watching so many dramas over the years, it’s rare for a show to truly leave a deep impact on me. But Fangs of Fortune did exactly that. After The Untamed, this is easily one of the dramas I’ve loved the most. From the very first episode, the story pulls you in with its mysterious atmosphere and emotional depth. What makes this drama stand out is how it balances action, fantasy, emotional storytelling, and character development so beautifully. Each episode feels like a roller coaster of emotions — sometimes intense, sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes incredibly heartwarming. And instead of slowing down, the story somehow keeps getting better and better with every episode.
For me, the standout character is definitely Zhou Yichen. His character has so much depth and complexity. The layers in his personality, the struggles he goes through, and the emotional weight he carries make him incredibly compelling to watch. You can’t help but feel connected to his journey, and his character development is one of the highlights of the entire drama.
Visually, Fangs of Fortune is absolutely stunning. Every scene feels carefully crafted, and the cinematography is a feast for the eyes. The fantasy elements, set designs, costumes, and overall aesthetic create a very immersive world that pulls you deeper into the story.
And the music — wow. The soundtrack perfectly matches the emotions of the scenes. Whether it’s an intense moment, a heartbreaking scene, or a powerful confrontation, the music enhances the experience so much.
What I really loved about this drama is that it never feels boring. Every episode has something meaningful — whether it’s character growth, emotional moments, or important plot developments. It keeps you invested from beginning to end.
Overall, Fangs of Fortune is a drama that delivers on so many levels: strong characters, emotional storytelling, stunning visuals, and a fantastic soundtrack. It’s the kind of show that stays with you even after you finish watching it.
For me, every episode felt like a must-watch, and the entire journey was unforgettable.

Sizzling and palpable tension for leads
If age gap tropes aren’t to your taste this one could easily convince you. There’s electric tension between the leads. The plot and acting build up a sense of anticipation, or "longing," where every interaction feels like a teaser for a deeper connection. Wang Chen Peng is excellent as the ML. I liked him in Roses and Pines with a similarly aged older man/younger woman relationship. The soundtrack works well with setting up the scene moods. Huge rewatch value story, acting, cinematography is great for a short drama. Was this review helpful to you?
--Pro's
Acting is good
High budget
--Con's
1. Boring visionary world which over take more space of real story
2. TILL 5th ep episode orginal ML character got very less screen presence which make us less engage.
3. No opposite or villen character.

I would honestly recommend everyone to give Boyfriend on Demand a chance without any prejudice, especially because there is an idol actress in it. Sometimes people decide beforehand that idol actors can’t act well, but this drama proves otherwise. Jisoo’s acting was honestly the best part of the show for me. She felt natural, charming and very easy to connect with. Her expressions, comedic timing and the way she carried emotional moments were all really good. Romcom suits her a lot, and after watching this I genuinely hope she does more projects in this genre.
The cameos were also a fun. Among them, Lee Soohyuk’s appearance was definitely my favorite. He looked so dreamy, almost unreal, which made him perfect for the whole “virtual boyfriend” concept. Honestly he fit the vibe of that role perfectly.
As for the story itself, I liked the main idea behind it. The drama tries to show how people sometimes get lost in unrealistic romance fantasies and forget the value of real relationships. It contrasts the perfect, dreamy virtual romance with something more genuine.
But I ended up feeling that the main male lead Kyungnam was also a bit unrealistic in his own way. He is such a green flag..... kind, warm, patient, supportive almost too perfect. Partners like that feel a bit rare in real life. So while the drama tries to remind us that real relationships matter more than fantasy ones, Kyungnam himself still feels like a bit of a fantasy boyfriend.
Still, overall it was a really enjoyable watch. Light, entertaining, relatable, refreshing, definitely re watchable

Where is my fly swatter?!
Mifune Toshiro dipped his toe into the Toho fantasy world in Samurai Pirate aka The Lost World of Sinbad. Not exactly adventures on the high seas, more like rescue a princess and retrieve lost jewels in a strange land.Sukezaemon Ruson (or Naya or Luzon or Sinbad depending on which version you watch) is betrayed on trumped up charges and sentenced to be burned in a box. His men bribe a local official helping Sukezaemon to escape on his ship. Since he’s been labeled a pirate, a pirate he will be. He already has a treasure chest full of jewels and gold. His pirating career doesn’t last long as a storm hits and destroys his ship. A real pirate gains his treasure, leaving Sukezaemon in the water. He washes ashore, rescued by a strange hermit/wizard with magical powers. The kingdom is run by a cruel leader who takes women in lieu of taxes. When Sukezaemon sees the princess wearing jewels from his treasure chest he determines to retrieve his property even if he has to develop the world’s first hang glider to do it!
I desperately wanted to like this film as I’m a Mifune Toshiro fan and have watched my share of Toho films. The writing was uneven at best. Mifune’s character made a 180 from, “I want to be rich!” to “Justice for the people and rescue the princess!” rather rapidly. The fantasy here was limited to the lecherous hermit who lost his powers whenever he licked his lips while ogling women’s breasts. That wore thin fast. There was also a witch who could turn people to stone like Medusa with her glowing eyes. The witch had a mirror, mirror on the wall that revealed where the threats were to her and the Chancellor who secretly ran the country. Not that it did the bad guys much good. Despite a sizeable Imperial Guard, Sukezaemon wandered in and out of the castle at will. Tsuburaya Eiji and his crew did a good job with the special effects and miniatures given it was 1963, well before CGI.
Poor Mifune suffered from terrible costumes. He first had to wander the island in his tattered samurai clothes. After being captured he ended up in a crop top and shorts/sarong which was hilarious. Though even at 43 he wasn’t afraid to show off his bod. Clothes in the foreign land looked influenced by Hollywood’s idea of Aladdin with plenty of cleavage, bare midriffs, and turbans. The princess’ dresses were more European medieval as was the castle. She was also dripping in jewelry. Honestly, the story had a hint of the Princess Bride—there was even a giant!
Samurai Pirate had fun moments and I never tire of watching Mifune, even when he looks like he’s not sure what his motivation is. Is he in love with the princess or not? Is he a selfish bandit or a selfless hero? When in doubt, yell at people and strut. This film was probably a silly and needed break after High and Low and also his only directorial effort- Gojuman-nin no isan. If you are a Mifune Toshiro fan or enjoy campy 60s fantasy films, this might be one to try.
6 March 2026
Clarification note: There were pirates in the film but Sukezaemon was neither pirate nor samurai. Ronin bandit maybe, but he wasn’t really a bandit either!
Trigger warnings: Attempted sexual assault. Breasts and cleavage shots to arouse the pervy hermit who became a full body phallic example of Peyronie’s Disease. PETA line 1! : A frog’s leg was torn off and a chicken was impaled.

Don’t Judge It Too Early! A Lovely Drama ?
Honestly, I don’t understand why some people are judging this drama after watching only the first one or two episodes. At first it may seem slow, but once the story starts developing, it becomes really interesting and emotional. funny and dark
1st off this might be the last transmigration CDrama I watch only cause after I finished it last night I woke up twice thinking I was in a novel and was crying cause the room was dark and I thought I was being written out, also I SWEAR I was speaking chinese!!! I did love the story, the Fl was funny at first with the first episode where she keep dying and being reborn. After that she was a little annoying. I love the ML and the 2ml was so damn cute like a puppy. Was this review helpful to you?

Why surfjava Series is peak and u should watch it
Ok can we talk about how underrated surfjava acting is? So before I start, DONT hate on me but I lowk forgot their characters names so ima call them by their real name. This show is lowk giving bad Buddy but in a different way. Ok now back to this damn peak show: there is 2 gangs and they lowk hate each other like they are rivals and the thing about these gangs is that they have a leader in their gangs. What surf group doesnt know is that he prayed to the goddesses that if he gets the power to be the leader then he will repay by visiting 9 temples. Next thing yk the time comes where he starts to get bad luck and realize he hasn’t visited the temples. On his first temple he meet Java,Java to gotta visit 9 temples so they lowk tag along. Ima lowk leave it at that but let’s just say u WILL cry (maybe)Was this review helpful to you?
A Drama Worth Watching Despite the Unfair Criticism
I just finished watching this drama, and honestly the low ratings and negative comments feel unfair. A lot of the criticism seems to focus on the female lead because she’s from a big K-pop group instead of judging the story itself. The drama is actually well written and reflects real-life situations many women go through—especially the fear of falling in love again after a failed relationship. With the help of AI, the story slowly uncovers the emotions she buried deep inside while meeting different people, each with their own stories and lessons.
My favorite pairing is with seo kang joon—they really have great chemistry. But more than that, the scene where she remembers her ex while she’s with him was so emotional. It felt like the moment she finally started accepting what happened in her past relationship, and it honestly made me teary. The actress portrayed that scene so well—you could really feel all the emotions.
I really hope they get another drama together. I also hope people give this drama a fair chance and focus on the story, not on who the actress is, especially when some feedback clearly comes from people who already dislike her or her group.
PS: I’m not really into K-pop groups—I’m more into good TV series and movies. I rarely post reviews, but this drama truly deserves fair feedback and better ratings.

A nostalgic 9/10 that prioritizes "Comfort" over "Complexity"
If you’ve been struggling to finish K-dramas lately because they feel "too serious" or "too Western," you need to watch this. It’s a total throwback to the 2017–2018 era of dramas like What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim and Legend of the Blue Sea.1.Why I loved it:
It was so comforting. It’s not trying to be a complex masterpiece. It’s just fun, silly, and full of butterflies.
2.Relatable Lead: People are pressed about the "AI dating" aspect, but the FL just perfectly captures that feeling of being too tired for real-life dating. It hit home for me.
3.The Vibes: It reminded me why I fell in love with K-dramas in the first place the tropes, the warmth, and that "stay up all night" excitement.
4.Final Thoughts:
It’s nostalgic, charming, and genuinely happy. It feels like a warm hug after a long day. If you miss the classic rom-com formula without the crazy plot twists every five minutes, don’t skip this one!

ML: 9; Woo Joo: 10; everthing else 0
what a frustrating story!!!! FL is just the worst, both the character and the actress. I hate how she is so selfish and idiot to believe herself so much just because two people confessed to her. she is never thinking about the kid for god sakes! how does she dare to put another man into the kids life! even if you want to date him don’t bring just anybody to the kid!the 2ML is controlling, nosy and mean to the top. I can’t believe the things he said to ML about his family being at fault if he was adopted too. he more than everyone should know that you don’t pick your family. it’s just too much to bear.
I think ML character was very well portrayed and written it’s a shame they wasted such a good story.
I literally just gave 7 because of the baby and ML, but I’m being very benevolent.

Started out good, ended up flat or subpar.
it isn't a brilliant work but its an okay series. love is complicated kinda show. (the heart wants what it wants)the pilot ep was actually interesting and good, but rest of the show felt flat. (mehhh)
Summary:
I don't think there's a single one to blame here but all of them have their own flaws, i mean nobody's perfect although they're red flags and jerks here, can't deny it. I go to that later to shorten my summary.
I personally don't understand the hate of jim-toh.
I personally feel jim-toh's story more complex, intriguing and meet with scenarios that fit with people their age & reality. (school settings, we all see before rl school drama LIVE in your schools and gossips from the neighboring schools- all kinds of absurdity) The couple actually reflect some real life couples more if you think about it. Can't say that for older and more mature people, but if u focus on the school settings, many fluffy drama actually are fairytale, this is the kind of story that is always around campus somewhere. it might not be your life story but still possibly a friend's friend situation somewhere because i heard similar stories multiple times irl. fr. (or even someone once close to you)
The starting plot was actually really well done i think, i just felt the story started to go plain after, it was kinda draggy (ok sorry supporters of 2nd cp) it focuses on teh and fah which both had its fault, i can't get fah at all, is he trying to play hard to get or is he just playing with him. felt like their relationship was build on playful-body-compatibility instead, not that i have any opinions, it just lack complexity and no difference from FWB to LOVERS kinda couple, which other show provides. so i felt more lowly interested and wish to see more of the 1st CP/jim-toh. I also felt the redemption ark felt flat and was going real slow on the flow and mostly not much happening during the period other than new love interest /self destructive mode etc.
overall, i felt that some parts were really slow pacing, and could be shorten or cut, and some scenes are not long enough like the last episode finale. the start i would actually felt the story WAS a 7-7.5, BUT as i watch felt pretty FLAT like a 5-6/10 overall, nothing exciting. Okay series to watch to kill time or just for the nice NCs but thats all. skippable.
______________________________
So, anyway
flaws, oh flaws. i have some rants.
I see some people saying how much they like the teh-fah couple, i mean they HAVE their GOOD points BUT!! I also want to point out the toxic traits too that people seems to oversee. Since everyone is already writing and we ALL KNOW the toxic of 1st CP jimmytoh I'll focus more on the 2nd CP Teh&Saifah. I would say ALL of them are toxic in different levels.
Like, Fah knew his love interest's friend is interested in him but show no consideration before starting out with Teh.
Teh hides that he is also getting interested in Fah. (no wonder these 2 toxics r friends) I can ignore the early parts but when they woke up and seemingly his attraction is stronger he still lied to his friend who was honest to him.
I have more to say but im tired for now, feel free to pm or comment if you want to rant with me xD i mean discuss HAHHAA
Also they are actually similar plot shows of this in hetro romance like SO MUCH of it, but people criticize this more harshly idk why haha . thats also the one of the reason i felt the show was pretty mehhh, as its recycled plot, just in BL instead of hetro haha but still comparing some of those executed them more intriguingly.

Where can I find a Sima Jiao for myself
March 6, 2026OH MY GOD, another Wuxia drama done from my ever growing list. I love this drama at all. After riding the highs of How Dare You?, When Destiny Brings the Demon hits the spot.
We have another down bad male lead Sima Jiao who's love story transcends over 4 lifetimes. Isn't that motherfucking diabolically so green flag coded? I feel like the ending could have been expanded, but I also know that there are censorship regarding transmigration Chinese dramas. As such, I can't help but feel like the ending falls a bit average. I do must say, I enjoy watching this series, for a 33 episode series, I do am loving the prognosis of the story.
I just find it endearing how multiple lifetimes were covered and it really just puts that status of eternal love and that I will find you in every lifetime.
Such joy and admiration I have for Sima Jiao and Ting Yan, this show is definitely that Cdrama that is worth your time to watch!

If you’re thinking of watching this, don’t.
I was genuinely excited for this pairing but was disappointed bc of how much this show was lacking.1) They only had good chemistry as friends and zero as lovers.
2) Events were happening but the plot wasn’t actually progressing, the writing was sh*t
3) They were trying too hard to evoke emotions by adding that random filter and music in places it wasn’t needed.
4) I hate time jumps and this one was way too long
Overall, this was boring and underwhelming and I’m surprised I finished it 😭
