A perfect drama

I was always looking forward this drama and I was scared I might not like it but now it’s my favorite. So much unexpected and shocking plot twists, especially the end… They just never stopped and never failed to shock me. Even if you don’t like politics they manage to keep you glued to your seat with the storyline. The acting of the whole cast, especially Sul Kyung-gu and Kim Hee-ae was beyond outstanding, not to mention the writing. This is the type of drama, and netflix original we needed already! Even the ending, which I usually hate in dramas was written well and finished the story perfectly. It broke my heart to pieces and I respect both the actors and the writer for managing to make me feel a whirlwind of emotions, for both characters.

Side note, this had such a pretty cinematography and visuals it was so nice to look at!

Some good moments but mostly highly questionable... everything

This is one of those dramas that is purely there satisfy all your wrist grab aloof CEO needs, with a sweet, cool, talanted superwoman female lead and a hot n cold, jealous, stalkish narcissistic completely obsessed male lead, He is also extreamly competitive, childish and while they seemed to try to make him come off as this guy who strts of cold but becomes a big old sweet teddy bear. The guy actually collected more and more red flaggs as the plot went on instead of dropping them.

Offering such great 'moments as

"With my help she should be able to grow in to a good lawyer" - not as good as him or better, and not due to her own efforts or anything like that...

Making me wish that the female lead would choose single life, the other female lawyer in her firm, her senior who had about 5 minutes of screen time... Just anyone else but the male lead, not the sisters ex but other than him pretty much any other character would have been better.

While part of the message in this drama had moments of progressiveness and he female lead does have her strengths . I did feel that most of the gender roles conveyed in here belonged somewhere in the past... way back, like in the 50s or so.

Basically: Man should protect woman, woman must cook and be soft, man strong and hard. Woman work both home and office man work office protect woman...

The pros: Good female lead, the plot was draggy at times but I did feel like making it to the end, hoping for a break up, still I did not have the urge to drop it. And the while I do not understand why this amazing female lead falls for the male lead,. And she does frustrate me at times. I still loved her and the other female lawyer (Chen Hao Lan) at the firm. The parts that where a bit progressive where actually really good letting the female lead express quite a few issues really well and has some pretty amazing lines such as:

" Whenever we discuss respect, you cant hear me"

Making it an okay watch, honestly just skip everything else and focuse on the female lead, the cute dog and Chen Hao Lan, who deserves a lead role ASAP.

Heartwarming watch

This was an heartwarming watch. I only watched it because I recently discovered its tv adaptation. Thought it would be ideal to watch this before the new one adaptation.

There were a few dialogues I disagreed with watching this but putting myself Sugihara’s shoes definitely makes you understand his way of thinking.

It all does come down to cultural differences I think. Looking forward to watching the TV adaptation.

the romantic comedy of 2024!

finished 10/10 ✨
the romantic comedy that I didn't know I needed but that I have loved from the beginning... a simple story, full of laughter, with unique satire and memorable scenes
What stands out the most is its script management, nothing elaborate... 10 chapters that summarize the plot very well and avoid unnecessary fillers
I loved the couple, their chemistry was very good ✨
I recommend this kdrama if you want to see something light and that helps you get out of the block 👏

A good but infuriating show

Starting off, I really likes the show. Yeah, it's cliche a d such but most dramas are. Its cast and such made it worth watching. However, once the villains started started doing their thing, it became mode infuriating. Their machinations were just way too perfect. They had an answer for everything. An important plot point was being talked about, someone who shouldn't hear ot ALWAYS does. Something can be done to help the hero/heroine? Nah, the most competent villains ever have already figured it out. "I'll trust the first person I aee?' Of course it means the greatest mastermind in Korean srama history will be there thanka to yet another wonderful scheme he waa able to dream up. Its tiring and maddening. And since the show is almost over with, I hate myself for wanting to see it reach its conclusion..And there's also a small amnesia subplot, because of course there is.

Ranting aside, I would recommend watching it. I do like the main couple and even some of the side characters. I'll never watch it again but I so think its worth giving a chance.

A bit far fetched

Can not see how jiang xuanbao ever got to be a left or right chancellor, he is too gullible and stupid, believes anything almost anyone says especially his wife. Since there are so many incidents in his family occurring and he doesn’t question anything. Obviously really doesn’t care about his daughter(s) just his reputation and how he looks to others. The grandmother is too passive and must not feel she has any real power either. Pretty much the same with the emperor, doesn’t may sense how she betrayed her brother to help the present emperor ascend to the throne, so she can have a lot of power in the palace
Lastly the ex-husband is probably more unscrupulous than Princess Wanning once he learnt to deal with her, had the nerve to be jealous of his former wife, after the other things he did, he just as crazy as the princess they deserved each other

Engaging Must watch!!!!

As a Filipino who rarely finds myself drawn to local series, the “Marahuyo Project” LGBTQIA+ series was an unexpected and deeply moving exception. From the moment I started watching, I was magnetized by its authenticity and heartfelt storytelling. This series resonates on so many levels, making it impossible not to become emotionally invested.

The fresh, new faces in the cast bring an unpolished, genuine energy to their roles, making the characters incredibly relatable. Their performances are so natural and sincere that at times, it feels less like watching a series and more like witnessing real-life events unfold. The characters’ journeys, struggles, and triumphs are portrayed with such honesty that they mirror the experiences of many in our community, including my own.

The series is beautifully set against a backdrop of stunning Philippine locations, each chosen with a keen eye for detail. The scenery enhances the narrative, adding layers of cultural and emotional depth. From the vibrant streets of the city to the tranquil beauty of the provinces, each setting feels like a character in its own right, enriching the overall storytelling.

What truly sets the “Marahuyo Project” apart is its relatability. The series captures the essence of what it means to be part of the LGBTQIA+ community in the Philippines. The characters’ stories are not just entertaining but also deeply reflective of our societal realities. The themes of acceptance, love, identity, and resilience are woven seamlessly into the plot, making each episode a powerful testament to our shared humanity.

As I watched, I found myself reminiscing about my own experiences, the challenges I’ve faced, and the joys I’ve found in being true to myself. The “Marahuyo Project” doesn’t just tell a story; it invites you to see yourself in its characters and their journeys. It’s a celebration of our diversity and a poignant reminder of the beauty in our struggles and victories.

In every aspect—from acting to location, from storytelling to direction—this series is a standout. It’s a heartfelt tribute to the richness of our culture and the strength of our community. If you haven’t yet experienced the “Marahuyo Project,” I highly recommend you do. It’s a series that will touch your heart and stay with you long after the final credits roll.

Go watch it if you like a "GL with a great plot"!

The movie was worth every second. I loved it. Great plot with great twists. if you love watching gls, this is the one you must not miss.I loved the chemistry between the couple, Everything was too real. You could see all in just their eyes. The cast was amazing. Both girls are great actors, No boring scenes , you might get confused at times trying to understand the story but the ending is the most satisfying one.

Do read the tags before watching its strictly 18+, the sex scenes were greatly produced , nothing censored, there are bdsm scenes but all just add to the story and make it more real and they are necessary, there is a little bit of comedy. The ost at the end is very beautiful and pleasant. I loved the transition of mc to a guy cuz she looked like one , I loved her and her acting too much, the other girl was also very pretty in the gown, I loved her, she acted great. It was a great movie and i must rewatch it some day.

Surprisingly really felt them

First of all, I believe if you are under 24, you might not be interested in these types of dramas. Even I wouldn't have been. But now I'm 25 and having second thoughts about my "peaceful" relationship, which isn't giving me much peace cus Maybe my standards have changed with time. And guess what? The second part ( 29), really hit me hard. It didn't offer any solutions, but it did bring a sense of peace to my mind.

The episode about age 42 was also nice, though I don't have much interest in the other two stories; I just watched them. All these stories were quite different from what we usually see in K-dramas. So yeah, just give it a shot.

I Loved it

I know many people didn't like it but loved it. I like the fantasy, mystery & thriller kinds of drama, though in this drama they didn't focus too much on fantasy but rather on mystery & romcom. But then also i enjoyed it.

I loved Cha Min & Go Se Yun chemistry. They're cute together.

In the clips I didn't recognize Ahn Hyo Seop. He looks so different in Business Proposal. But he looks great in this drama.

Cha Min behavior after seeing his face, it is so funny.

Go Se Yun is smart, a brat, a snob, short-tempered.

Cha Min is naive, dumb, afraid of everything, but when it comes to business, he is the smartest.

Laughed when Cha Min said to Go Se Yun that she was not his type anymore. Serve her right for what she used to say all these years to him.

Cha Min expression when he saw Park Dong Chul hugging Go Se Yun.

Laughed whenever Park Dong Chul flicked Go Se Yun's head & Cha Min in reaction to it.

It was hilarious how everyone thought that Go Se Yun was a waiter.

Loved the scene in how Cha Min made Go Se Yun fall asleep.

Poor Cha Min has to bend his neck in a cybercafe because of his height.

Park Dong Chul reaction after finding out about Lee Mi Do real identity.

The way Cha Min was stammering when Go Se Yun suggested they should kiss.

Go Se Yun dream was hilarious. After that, the way she was so focused on Cha Min lips.

Laughed how the leads were fighting for the car key.

It was hilarious how Go Se Yun & Jang Hee Jin mother were fighting for Cha Min & Go Se Yun telling her that he is mine.

The way Cha Min was guarding Go Se Yun at the door was cute.

Laughed how Cha Min convinced Go Se Yun to sleep in the same bed with him.

Laughed when Park Dong Chul let out his frustration at his boss.

The leads' drunken behavior was hilarious.

It was hilarious when the leads barge into Cha Min’s mother’s room.

Curiosity killed the cat.

That's exactly what happened to me. I fell in love with the ost and the trailer seemed promising but it was all a hoax!

I don't know who wrote this, but even a 5 year old can make a decent story. This is beyond mediocre. I remember watching this and thinking, "what the hell is going on here?" because you literally don't understand anything, from the beginning or to the end.

I don't know how they could make this a 50-chapter story where there was nothing to tell. There is literally nothing to tell because you understand absolutely nothing of what you are "supposedly" trying to tell.

And will the ending clarify anything for you? Guess what? No! He will leave you with even more doubts and you will find yourself wondering if the director was on any substance when he did this.
So you, if you read this. Don't even think about wasting your time watching this, really. It's not worth 5 seconds of your time.

I'll only give the OST a 10 because it was the only thing I liked, the rest is garbage.

Not your fantasy drama

First I must say, it's not for everybody. After a long time, I watched a drama that I can relate to. From early 20s to Early 40s is the most important time one can have. People can be born with two types. One free spirited and other one is disciplined all the way. Most creative personal born with a spirited way. This drama depicted a fine way of both typed human. I love the way it tells the story of a free spirited women . Rośe is to me is someone who we as society can't bottled up. She sees the world in a unique way. Overall, I loved it.

it's more complicated

rewatching in 2024 and i still enjoy watching it! With the issues getting more complicated, i personally find this season 2 more spectacular. the complexities of love, sexuality, and free socializing are heating up. It focuses on real life teenage issues and the confused life of teenagers. Phai really caught my attention, his character development, though sometimes crossing boundaries but the way he shows responsibility, greatness of heart, and sincerity that truly touched me. Each episode focuses on one of the cast, but does have side scenes of the other members. The final scenes always featuring each character with their families are distinctive. Also i really love Non idk he's so funny and sweet <3

but i think it would have been nice if at least one couple had a healthy and stable relationship where one wasn't still in love with some old flame.

better as series

acting - bland and awkward, especially when it's only the two (the guy and girl main characters), when they found the remnants, it became bearable

story progress - the beginning and ending is confusing, the first 5 min mark was notable but typical, but the next scenes, when the girl main character entered the virtual world was confusing, the shift of events at first were not that clear - if it's a dream or virtual reality, the ending was also confusing, it wasn't clear when did she met South Pole again, after the restaurant w/ note scene, it wasn't clear anymore if the "Luxuria" was a dream, an illusion, reality (there's the floating spy camera surveillance something that caught them in the game so how), or game (but how when it was destroyed already?)

overall plot - this could be better as a series, even if it's just 8 eps long, this was, questions would be answered and the story build up would be better

if you want the same genre, I would recommend 19th floor, a chinese series, similar but better.

I completed this drama few days ago and I must say that 'I am not a robot' is an awesome kdrama, a different story plot with perfect cast. Even though the drama is a fiction, it has soo realistic feelings. The lead actors are so perfect for their roles, they make you feel as if they are really those characters. Their chemistry is exceptional and it felt real. The secondary characters has equal importance as of leads.

It makes no sense why this drama has got low viewer ratings. This drama deserves much appreciation. All the actors performed well but the performance delivered by the lead actor deserves a special mention. Yoo Seung-ho is indeed a great actor. His acting is flawless, the way he enacted emotional scenes captures hearts. Fell in love with this guy after watching his performance.

The ending of the story is beautifully and leisurely written which just warms your heart. Each and every actor and their characters are awesome as they are done justice on till the end. And how could I not appreciate the lead female, AJI 3(robot), or Jo Ji A, is beautiful both as human and as the Robot from the start. Loved it so much. Loved it so much. I Will definitely recommend to watch it!!
