Whole Package
the wonderfools is the drama of full package comedy action thriller emotional and solid acting by whole cast. Mr son was so funny and man has no idea 𤣠and his best partner mr robin. the chemistry of all 4 leads chaeni unjeong mr son robin is superb. chaeni calling him choe unjeong instead of lee unjeong was so romantic to me. and that iconic beach scene it was so good playing with audience emotions. each episode is so good made us all so hooked. lee unjeong played by cha eunwoo is funny as the "straight man" who tries to keep the chaotic group in line, but he also shows deep emotion and vulnerability.another addition to his great works with island; wonderful world ; true beauty; rookie historian and migb. looking forward to his next work.
highly recommend this drama.

Double Headache
Blood of Jesus, may this level of love never locate me! See nonsense! Naah, but this sh!t must be ragebait cuz aint nobody that effing in love. Lu Feng needs to go drink some water and chill the eff out with his toxic love. Yi Chen needs to stop looking like heās living his whole damn life to a sad background song, Yi Chenās brother needs--no, never mind, eff that dude, he sucks! And Qian Lang needs⦠actually, he needs nothing. Homeboy could have been replaced by a houseplant in the drama and it wouldnāt have made a damn difference to me. You know what, eff him too. Before I start this review, is it just me or, was this Yi Chen throughout the drama?
Random tiktoker: Hey, brother Yi Chen, choose one of these two options. Option #1, Lu Feng or opā
Yi Chen: *cutting him off* 2. Option 2.
Random tiktoker: But you didnāt even hear theā
Yi Chen: I donāt need to hear what it is. My answer is #2.
LMAO!! ^^That boy was allergic to choosing Lu Feng. Homeboy kept choosing everyone but him. Yikes. Well, he ran in the rain for a bit to make that stupid arse choice in episode 11⦠but yaayy love, am i rite?
Listen, yes, this is just a drama, yes, chill, still, imma rant cuz that was 12 episodes of annoyance, anger, pain, turmoil, and straight up rage baiting. Cuz, all the characters in this drama were insufferable! At one point I wanted to be Lu Feng just so I could slap myself in the throat! That dumpling scene⦠nothing vexed me past that hospital scene with the dumplings. Were we supposed to feel bad for him?
First off, I am not #TeamLuFeng or #TeamYiChen. Iām Swizerland, cuz I hate those two leads an equal amount. Perhaps 0,6% less on Xiao Chen (cuz he ghosted his brother that one time), but other than that, every one on this show equally sucked. And donāt get me started on that brother and his twin.. was it just me or did the two look⦠never mind, another rant for another day.
CHARACTERS:
And I repeat. LU FENG needs to drink some water and chill the eff out. Iāve seen so many people excusing his behavior all in the name of love. Peoples! Are we watching the same drama? No one on his show is a saint but Lu Feng sure as hell isnāt whatever some of yāall making him out to be. Out there talking about āheās so broken because he loves so hardā. Pfft, if you donāt go sit somewhere with your nonsense.
No, but this was Mr.-I-bought-your-favourite-dumplings-and orange-juice-for-you-so-eat-while-you're-in-a-coma 98% of the drama:
Lu Feng: Manipulated, kidnapped, tormented, abused, humiliated and completely shattered Yi Chen.
Lu Feng supporters: OMG, he did all of that cuz he loved Xiao Chen so much. He gave up everything for him and Yi Chen didnāt choose him, so he is entitled to being a scum of a human. Heās so misunderstood and pitiable, cuz he did all of that for love.
ME: May thunder fire you and your familyās goat!
Cuz why? LOVE? Ha! Make this kind nonsense love come disturb my backyard, na slap someoneās son go chop! Some of yāall canāt be serious. LOVE? Yi Chen got shot and couldnāt eat dumplings. Aināt nobody that in love. Naah, miss me with that sh!t! Iād rather be that one cat lady.
Look, I get it. Lu Feng loves so deep, rare and wholehearted, it even made him sick. When it comes to love, he literally has nothing else in his heart than his love for Xiao Chen, and heād gladly give up everything for it. Kudos to him, heās a forever simp, yappiee. So of course heās gonna be obsessive and do everything to protect it. But, and SO WHAT?
And the rage baiting arguments Iāve seen, like:
# Lu Feng said no to his FATHER and left his family for Yi Chen!... Well no sh!t! Lu Fengās father was an abusive prick! He was literally beating him, and he was in a family situation where he was clearly not happy, (he's sister seemed like the only partial sane one, bless her heart). So of course, he was gonna protect the one happiness he found, which was Xiao Chen. It was no brainer for him to protect that happiness and choose Yi Chen in that situation.
In contrast, Yi Chen was from a happy (before he met Lu Feng) family that loved him. Two parents and a brother, all they were missing was a dog to be the perfect poster for āfamilyā. Then, the father died and the 3 made it work. Sure, his parents wanted him to be ānormalā marry a female homosapien, but he saw it as the family that loves him, not wanting him to have a hard life, so of course, he had a hard time letting them go for Lu Feng.
Seriously, what was Yi Chen supposed to do in that situation when everything crumbled? There was his mother who just made new yearās food for them. They were all happy, then bam! She's super sick and at deathās door, but sheās been hiding it so as to not worry her children. Then here comes Mr. Lu Feng with his one track nonsense, selfish love. Like dude, read the effing room, you are the elephant!
Seriously though, was Lu Fengās brilliant idea that moment to add more fuel to fire? Dude wanted all the credit for angering all their parents to death. Someoneās mom is dying, any little thing will set them off, and dude wants his boyfriend to use that moment to tell his dying mother who he loves to eff off with her homophobic arse and crook already! Like??? And of course Yi Chen said no, so Lu Feng decided the best thing in his situation was to tie Yi Chen up by force, shove his brother down the stairs to disable him, then confront the dying mother.
Dude!! Are you not tired, Sharon? Seriously, that whole episode, I kept screaming: āNah fam, yous is hungry, go home and eat and sleep, cuz youāre doing too much right now!ā Aint no effing way his arse thought he was helping. No, seriously, what was he expecting would happen? Yi Chen told him to go home, give him space, but no, Mr. Iām in love, choose me, had to keep piling on the pressure.
Yes, I get his frustration. I supposed, his whole world felt like it was ending, so he reacted the best way his obsessive arse could. Still, Yi Chen calling the police on Lu Fengās crazy arse was too lenient, my arse would have added a punch, like calm the eff down, Susan. And yes, I got where Lu Feng was coming from. He gave everything up when he was in the same situation, but Xiao Chen isnāt from a broken home. That decision wasnāt an easy one to make for him. He had a mother he loved (who sucked btw) and a brother he loved (eff him) and a boyfriend who was inherently making things more complicated than they needed to be in a hospital and escalating stuff. Dafug was that bagel supposed to do? Not call the police? Nah, I would have called the national guard, evacuate him from the goddamn country while you are at it! Donāt wanna even run into someone who knows him.
*another excuse* is people going: Lu Feng went psycho and did all of that to Yi Chen cuz he was hurt, heartbroken, and wanted him to feel the pain he felt when he chose his family over him. ā- Huh? Is you crazy? Thatās not an excuse, that was SELFISH! Dude said he was in love and would do anything, yet, he wanted that love returned (sure, who doesnāt) but he expected the same unconditional love, regardless of circumstances. Also, why they put Yi Chen in that outfit during the kidnapping/house arrest? LMAO it was so on the nose.
Lu Feng was out there crying and talking about: āplease wake up, if you wake up iāll never leave you alone againā. and my arse vexed and rolling my eyes like ānow, why is you threatening that poor boy? Like, all he wanna do is get away from you, why the eff he wanna wake up?ā Yi Chen a better person than me, cuz just to spite him, imma be in that coma forever, let us both be miserable, heck even if I woke, imma go back to sleep.
And when he gave him the ring and said heād wait, I was looking around all confused like⦠āWait.. hold on. Are we serious? Mfker why you threatening that poor boy in these streets? Dude is traumatized and you wanna put a ring on it?ā Nah, shame, does he even have it?
Listen, before I start on YI CHEN, let me just say, Iām not gonna waste my breath defending that passive human. Dude doesnāt want to be saved, his reason, āheās in loveā Hahahaha see nonsense. Somebody's son don leave his brain for ein mother's womb before he comet from there. Cuz, after all that, dude put on that ring and ran back and even was the one to ask him out again. After all that abuse, emotional pain, the parade of stdās walking around his face and bullying him, while having Lu Feng tongue down their throats, plus the gunshot, mfker went back. Sure, the alternative was his brother (eff that dude) and that one guy, still⦠he went back, all in the name of love. God forbid! May this kind love never locate me!
Oh Yi Chen. Yi fucking Chen. Dude woke up after all that and the first name he called out is Lu Feng? And the worse part. He made him RAMEN! You know how much you gotta love someone to make them raman?? Nah, eff him, heās just as bad. Dude vex me pass Lu Feng self. It wasnāt like this dude didnāt know how obsessive and crazy Lu Feng was, but somehow he kept acting like he was waiting for him to become something he wasnāt. Dude literally smoked a cigarette shop outside your gate the first time, grape you the second time, and mfker got a divorce and went straight to look for him, glasses off and everything!
FAM? Like, if you are going to let him go, let him go! Whatās with all the half arse break ups? And look back out the car window every time? And knowing how Lu Feng is, Yi Chen promised to love him, stay with him, and then the moment his life gets upset, he chooses every one and their mother but Lu Feng, of course the mfker would go crazy, cuz whatās your love really worth if you canāt stay with him through the tough times?
Like, he knew Lu Feng was going to give up his family, riches, and MONEY for him. Yet, he chose the mother who wants him to give up his happiness so she can die in peace and sacrifice for his brother (gawd I hate that air-breather!) Like, who wonāt go crazy in that situation? The woman was two seconds away from kicking the bucket and Xiao Chen, not sure if it was due to his filial piety or love, decided to sacrifice Lu Feng to make her die in peace. Like, you is dying anyway, dafug is it to you if your son out there kissing a psycho dude who is about to be broke? Nah, I too would have shoved people down the stairs.
I hate self-sacrificing idiots. I am pretty sure he thought he was doing the right thing. Making his dying mother happy, sacrificing so his brother didnāt have to give up his love. But why do you have to be a good son and brother at the expense of Lu Fengās love and heart? Xiao Chenās love felt too conditioned, too clean. Sure, that first time, he was broken and waited and waited, and couldnāt move on, but when it really mattered he did nothing. Yes, yes, he was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Still, after the mother died, he basically erased his life and stayed married to his beard!
He gave up on everything and decided to ghost everyone. Dude was like ālmao, yāall thought I was gonna stay. Nope, imma go fill the Zhou family with negative energy and waste 5 years of my life cuz my dead mother told me to marry a female and make her and my brother happy. I believe heās crippled now, but I told his boyfriend heās his problem now, and also I donāt wanna see him be happy while Iām miserable so good luck to him, his sadness for his mother dying, his brother ghosting him, and his broken legs. Iām out. #peace
Speaking of, my fellow females and males, dafug is with fighting for a man who doesnāt want you? Sister knew brother Xiao Chen didnāt want her, and she still married him. Some love is truly nonsense when all is said and done. Then of course, after disturbing us with her nonsense, she went and re-marry.
THEN after all that! All that! Yi Chen went and take a bullet for Lu Feng! Hahahhaha, Child! Is you alright, Bob? Lu Feng messed him up so much, Iām convinced he developed Stockholm syndrome. And then Lu Feng⦠hahahha were we supposed to feel bad for him at the hospital scene with the dumplings, cuz my arse was chewing my popcorn and goin āmy friend, my friend, give it a rest, I am tired.ā I kept waiting for the police to show up and haul his arse away. Also why wasnāt anyone arrested or even charged in that?
And when he woke up and said his name and light appeared in the room. Ew, I wanted to throw up my popcorn, cuz aint no effing way the Lu Feng of that time was the light in anyoneās life. I wonāt even say he was a candle, mfker was a flickering, dying firefly at best, couldnāt light shit.
The parents: Eff them both. At least the father had the decency to die in anger. The mother ruined lives and said āIām sorryā like that would fix anything.
The Second couple: Was the brother dude in love with Lu Feng at some point or another? His love for his brother was as cheap as my auntieās church wig. Like, what the eff was he trying to achieve with telling the boy he was in love with to date his heartbroken brother⦠who is completely broken because he deleted a message that might have spared him some pain?
Who was that supposed to help, ho? And that houseplant, he said yes, knowing full well he didnāt like Yi Chen. Sure, he was doing it for someone he loves, but why would you hurt someone like that? Yes, I disliked that brother, still, he was there for Yi Chen, so I guess... he cares and like, his shoulders are nice... still.
And were those stairs not long enough or what? Hmph! Canāt even trust stairs anymore. āHey, Lu Feng, next time try the wall of China.ā Those stairs would have done the job. At first I was like, Damn Yi Chen really exorcized his brother out of his life, but then I was like, I too would have deleted my life from his existence, cuz he was obnoxious when he wasnāt rolling down the stairs, now, heād be insufferable.
FINALE
I'll be honest, not sure what to feel about the finale. On one hand, sure sad, on the other, they built those bridges themselves and now have to live with the circumstances. Like, Lu Feng went and got himself a titled illness and everything. Then he needed curing, so cue the sad montage. Then, afterwards, he was walking around all brooding, looking depressed, and like he's seconds away from calling it quits. The life in him was just gone. And for Yi Chen, trying to save him borrowed money from his brother (where he got it?) to get house. Sure, but what was the point, Lu Feng was in rehab, and couldn't use the house anyway.
Either way, they both ended up, both broken, healing, and finding a space in between to be happy. I guess, that worked for them, not me though, would have left back in the beginning episode when that dude who shoved me in the school yard started making googly eyes at me.
I wasnāt heartless enough not to feel bad for Lu Feng, but I was heartless enough to go. This is what you get for being in love. Next time, die and come back and be that in love again. Fool!
Any who, all in all, good watch, raised my blood pressure, but that's what these dramas are about, to get us talking. Recommend for anyone interested in black flags. Dude might just be in the same family as Hua Yong and Xiao Fan. Looking forward to more for the actors, their chemistry and acting was very good.
And just for this drama, if I ever meet someone and they go: āLong time no seeā imma throw salt over my shoulders and at them⦠those words started all this, and my arse donāt want none of that. God forbid!

Alcohol Slump
I enjoyed parts of this show for sure especially the first half and with being a medical student myself, I was really excited by this show. But itās become a bit repetitive, slow and they drink alcohol more than they talk about doctor stuff now. I know in many kdramas they drink lots and it can be funny, but itās multiple times an episode, the characters are just alcoholics and itās a bit tiring - so Iām looking forward to finishing this kdrama despite really enjoying certain parts of it!Was this review helpful to you?

another short drama that deserves to be full lenght
Iām actually fascinated by this drama, because I did NOT expect that plot twist š«Øš«Ø First of all, the acting is actually insane??? like the villain is actually so scary, heās a real psycho and the actor executed that role sooo well itās unbelievable š„“ Donāt let me get started on the main charactersā chemistry š© Their kiss scenes are actually electric, I felt goosebumps, not even kidding š« The plot is a bit messy, but I blame the duration of the episodes. It wouldāve been better for this drama to be full length. 24 full length episodes wouldāve suited this plot. Nevertheless, I really recommend watching this because I personally was hooked since episode 1 and binge watched this š¤©Was this review helpful to you?
Charming enough to enjoy, inconsistent enough to notice
A gentle, undemanding first-love romance that works best when it stops trying to be more than that. The campus atmosphere is pleasant, the central relationship develops with a sweetness that doesn't need to manufacture conflict to hold your attention, and Yu Lei and Chen Ke have a dynamic that I found easy to spend time with ā the jealousy, the small gestures, the gradual shift from uncertainty to something more settled. For what it is, it mostly delivers. The cracks show in the details. A snow scene that aimed for romantic and landed somewhere closer to unintentionally comic ā genuinely too many snowballs in too many hair. And the recurring use of "friends can hug" and "friends can kiss" as cover for feelings that are obviously already well past friendship wore thin fairly quickly. I understand the intent, but when the subtext is that legible, the text starts to feel constructed rather than natural.
The secondary characters are where the series loses the most ground. Underdeveloped subplots, a second lead whose shift arrives without sufficient buildup, and a character whose emotional breakdown lands disconnected from everything that preceded it because the series never properly laid the groundwork. These are structural issues that affect the overall flow even when the central romance is working.
The core of the series ā Yu Lei and Chen Ke finding their way to each other ā is warm enough to make the rest forgivable. Just don't come in expecting consistency.

is it safe to say Kdrama is back?
There is something so intensely cathartic about a plot where a completely broken educational system gets a radical, no-nonsense reboot. Watching a secret government task force get a literal license to use extreme physical force and savage psychological warfare against untouchable bullies and entitled parents gave me pure adrenaline. It taps perfectly into that real-world frustration we all feel when the rules fail to protect the innocent, turning heavy topics like cyberbullying and institutional corruption into these deeply satisfying, action-packed takedowns. Every single episode had me completely hooked and my heart crushed every time.Itās that perfect, painful mix where one minute youāre cheering because a ruthless bully is finally getting what's coming to them, and the next youāre a sobbing mess looking at the deep emotional scars left behind. Best kdrama this year.

It's really does hold its title, Queen of tears.
Queen of tears" nah I would say it is "King of tears" for me , I was randomly searching for enemy to lover K-dramas after watching "My demon" & "Business proposal", then I remember my friend have suggested me this before then I just clicked the play button but omg, who knew it's gonna be that addictive. When I started the series I thought it's story about just married couple who doesn't go along with each other. I tried skip the series but then when I saw "Hae-in" in the frame , she was really beautiful, no wonder "Hyun-woo" fell for her . I guess she is the reason I stayed to watch the show, but tbh Hae-in really ate her roll she did a great job and so flawless at that.
I don't fully remember, is it in EP 2 or 3....? but, the moment it's started to tear me up , I could not stop crying, I started to get scared of watching this in front of my family, what if I accidentally cried..? If they see me cried.? it's was really going to be a disaster.
*sigh* I hardly remember when the last time I cried, the reason I cried, it was like crying didn't existed for me , why would I even cry ..? I think I never found a reason behind it.
I have never watched any show that have made feel that emotional after Attack on Titan, I've just ended the series and my eyes are still yet to dry..
I have never thought love can be this beautiful, and a Romance show would make me feel that way , I have never liked Romance genre cause it's hangs you around all the time and don't give any reason behind it , but this show changed mind and of course I'm giving it 10/10 .
If you're getting an idea that this is a sad emotional romance then You've been greatly mistaken, cause the happy moments gonna make you tear up the most. And and and the music.... Omg that fit perfectly with every scene, it still now keep playing in my head... I know this post is getting long but I definitely need to say this, "Eun sung" you're literally a piece of shyt , well what can I expect from a son of a b!tch.
*Sigh*Anyway,I wonder where I gonna find this kind of love, is that kind of love do really exist..? That's the question I'm gonna ask myself every night I guess.
I really want to thank you for suggesting me this series, yes you're the only person who suggested me that , Thank You.
*Sigh* The opening music is still playing in my head...
š¶As long as you stay with me ,
Giving you all my heart
Giving you all my love,
As long as you stay with meš¶

Missed the impact created in the previous installment..
To fulfill Shi Yi's last wish, the one she made before committing suicide in her previous life, the writer is back with a modern-day plot to give her a satisfying closure with Chen Zhousheng, though this time Chen is his given name.A thousand years have passed since that tragedy. The landscape has changed. This is a free world, so the approach towards romance has changed too. No oaths, no promises standing in their way anymore.
Yet, despite all the conditions supporting their love story, it still felt flat and soggy.
The very impact of the star-crossed lovers' reunion is missing. I mean, their first meeting could have been so much better than Shi Yi simply calling out his name and asking for his email address at the airport.
I was extremely disappointed to see that CZS had no memory of his past life. I mean, why? Wasn't he equally involved? Him not carrying those memories made it feel as if his attachment to Shi Yi wasn't as strong as the writer had suggested in the previous part.
Imagine crying for two hours straight while watching their tragic love story, only to click on the next installment and find out that the ML has no memory of their past together, neither in the first episode nor in the last. It felt almost like betrayal.
And to make things worse, they added family politics BS and other filler plots that felt too superficial. Sure, the stepmother's involvement in the ML's private life was more annoying than his oath in his previous life.
They jumped into the marriage segment pretty quickly, which was predictable because this man pretty much existed to marry Shi Yi and fulfill her wish. But his obsession with getting tailored dresses made for the FL for every occasion felt repetitive and boring. Like, can't you think of something more magical for lovers reuniting after a thousand years?
I finished this show solely because of my love and respect for Bai Lu.

This drama should be titled: Immortal samSNORA/ immortal samSORRY/ immortal samSLUMBER~~
The second part picks up exactly where Part 1 left off. Now, considering how painful the first season became towards the end, I went into this one carrying a tiny spark of hope. Maybe this part would address some of my grievances. Maybe the pacing would improve. Maybe the characters would finally start using the cranial and magical powers a little.
Maybe.
But none of that happened.
In fact, somehow, this season managed to be even messier and less rewarding.
One thing I did appreciate was YY. Even after regaining his memories, he continues to acknowledge his feelings for YD. No unnecessary amnesia drama, no "I must deny my feelings cause I have to save the world " BS*. He knows whom he loves, and he's determined to make things right. He's even ready to renounce his godhood and leave everything behind for his beloved.
Sounds romantic, doesn't it?
Well...
The execution was about as exciting as watching paint dry.
Bro, you are a literal Heavenly God.
A GOD.
Why are you standing there looking mildly concerned while the villain casually destroys evidence right in front of you?
Do something!
Shoot lightning.
Freeze time.
Throw a mountain.
Pull out some ancient divine technique hidden in your sleeve.
Anything.
Instead, his entire strategy seems to be:
1. Arrive.
2. Look worried.
3. Say, "This can't continue."
4. Continue letting it continue.
At some point I stopped feeling frustrated, His approach is so passive that i ...š„±š„±š„±š„±š„±.
So...I dropped it at Episode 10. I simply couldn't do it anymore. Apparently Life is short. My watchlist is long. Besides, I already know how this is going to end. ML and FL die in the final episode so there is exactly nothing to look forward to.
So yes, I'm stepping off this train.

A Dark and Passionate Tale of Forbidden Love
*I have invested 5 years of my life to read this manhwa while it was airing, from start to finish. So my review will be comparative in nature without spoiling the important bits*This was one of those manhwas that made me go from "what the hell did I get myself into?!" to "Well, that was HELL of an infuriating ride... but DAMN, that was a satisfying ending! I kinda like it :p". By the record, this was my first ever red flag manhwa that shaped me into this 'toxic love" addicted creature. It was an anxious read, problematic and dubious af, which was obviously not at all comforting to read but, oh, I live for those angsty crumbs.Ā
Now about the drama; honestly and first of all, I was quite doubtful about this adaptation because of its problematic nature, and how they're supposed to showcase such things in the media. But after watching I can say they toned it down A LOT! And I think it's for the better to make it watchable on screen. Omitting the gruesome portrayal of abuse and sufferings was needed because it's not for this type of format. Some things are better if they stay hidden in the closed folds of paper. The content is HUGE and so summing them up within 2 hrs is pretty much commendable. There are no boring moments. So you're are presented a angsty romance with lots of twists and turns!
My only problem is the vertical format. This format doesn't really allow the storylines to delve deeper. But I'm quite happy and satisfied with this adaptation and I must admit that.Ā
Character wise, in the manhwa and drama, Nakyum is still lovely, lively and full of warmth, but it's Seungho who had a great character change in terms of its source material. Here Seung Ho is more humane than he is shown in the manhwa. Those sharp brush strokes, cold, cynical blazing gaze says that his character is basically emotionless, crazy and tyrant. But in the live adaptation, just because it's a real person acting, his character felt way more humane, soft and loveable than he was there, which I quite liked.Ā
The actors did a wonderful job! Each and every character was promising, and they gave their best. The direction was also well done, as it literally made me see those still panels coming back to life as if I was reliving the manhwa in front of my eyes. It's one of those manhwas that I'd be uncomfortable/ embarassed to read in public and honestly, I didn't and don't expect to see those level of smutty illustrations in this short vertical format. Kisses were so-so, could have been better, intimate scenes were quite bland, but in this short time not everything could be done as per our taste. Also, there were quite a few changes in this, but not that evident enough to see if one doesn't know what's in the manhwa.Ā
Overall, I liked it inspite of my initial concerns as the adaptation followed the manhwa very, very well!
P.S: Here linking my feeds post in the comments for those who wants to see the pictorial similarities in the manhwa and the drama.

Fun but anti-climatic
Iāve watched a lot of dramas that I otherwise wouldnāt based on the reviews of others, when the poster/synopsis/cast itself doesnāt necessarily captivate me, this was one of those times, and good that I did.To start with the conclusion. Am I glad I watched this drama? Absolutely, itās fun and the characters are incredible. Will I rewatch this sometime in the future? Probably not.
You should definitely watch this if:
1) You enjoy legal dramas,
2) You enjoy slightly over the top comedy,
3) Enjoy bantering as a plot point not a tool
You should not watch this if:
1) Youāre expecting any romance, I feel like it was mis-tagged,
2) You need a fleshed out ending that neatly ties off all the stories,
3) You havenāt watched any of the many other very popular legal comedies (Suspicious Partner, One Dollar Lawyer, Welcome 2 Life, to mention my personal favorites)
Now to some other things Iād like to mention.
Story:
- The ending gets rounded off, but I personally wished they had spent 1-1.5 episodes more to really focus in on what was supposed to be the ābig badā. Thereās a lot of setup for a brief climax, I think.
- The device of āshow, donāt tellā is an art form, and maybe I wasnāt paying attention, but I swear I was. The drama will quite frequently neither show, nor tell. I feel like I had to assume how āA knew Xā, usually it would be a chain of seeing/hearing B, C, D which leads to knowing X.
Acting/Cast:
- The acting truly carries the drama. The main leadsā interactions are great, the interactions between the leads and the primary side characters are great. Truly, I got invested in so many characters, and I usually donāt. This is probably a reason why I wish they had invested more in the ending, because I wanted more time to see what happened with everyone.
Music:
- I had a really hard time figuring out what to score the music. The music ādesignā is great, itās fresh, fun, varied, and very different from other dramas. But, the āapplicationā of these designs were jarring at times, the volume in some scenes would genuinely completely overpower the important dialogue that is happening.

I found *Teach You a Lesson* to be one of the most frustrating school dramas I've watched. Instead of presenting a balanced look at the relationship between teachers and students, the series often felt like it was written to defend abusive and unethical teachers while placing most of the blame on students.Throughout the drama, there seems to be a strong effort to justify old-fashioned attitudes toward education, including the idea that harsh treatment and physical punishment somehow help children. Rather than seriously questioning these practices, the story often appears to excuse them or portray them as necessary. As someone who believes students deserve respect and protection, I found this message deeply uncomfortable.
What bothered me even more was how the drama handled accusations and misconduct involving teachers. Whenever a teacher was accused of inappropriate behavior, the narrative seemed determined to prove the teacher innocent while casting suspicion on students. The show repeatedly pushes the idea that teachers are misunderstood victims and that students are dishonest troublemakers. This creates a one-sided portrayal that ignores the reality that authority figures can abuse their power and that students can be genuine victims.
The drama also suffers from an unhealthy tendency to treat teachers as morally superior simply because they are adults or hold positions of authority. Students are frequently portrayed as irresponsible, malicious, or criminal, while teachers receive endless sympathy and understanding. This imbalance makes it difficult to take the story seriously, especially when it asks viewers to excuse behavior that would be unacceptable in real life.
What makes this even more frustrating is that it feels like part of a larger trend I have noticed in some recent dramas. More and more, I see stories that seem determined to romanticize or justify harmful behavior instead of challenging it. Some dramas appear to defend the physical punishment of children and teenagers. Others push the message that women should be pressured into motherhood regardless of their own wishes. There are also stories that blur the line between consent and romance, portraying situations involving intoxication or impaired judgment as if they were romantic rather than deeply troubling. Whether intentional or not, these narratives often come across as attempts to normalize ideas that should be questioned and debated, not celebrated.
A good school drama should explore both sides of conflicts and recognize that both teachers and students are capable of making mistakes. Unfortunately, *Teach You a Lesson* often feels more interested in protecting the reputation of authority figures than honestly examining the problems that can exist within schools. Instead of encouraging accountability, it seems determined to defend those in power at almost every opportunity.
In the end, I came away feeling that the drama was less about education and more about justifying outdated beliefs about discipline, authority, and unquestioning respect for those above you. While some viewers may appreciate its perspective, I found it biased, unrealistic, and at times disturbingly dismissive of student experiences. For me, it was a disappointing watch that failed to provide the balanced and thoughtful examination of school life that it could have been.
As Episode 3 demonstrates, many of the adults in this story do not seem interested in helping children grow, learn, or overcome their problems. Instead, they appear more concerned with blaming students for every issue and using their authority to settle personal grudges. The episode gives the impression that certain teachers view students not as young people who need guidance, but as targets for their frustration and resentment. Rather than acting as mentors, they often come across as individuals seeking revenge for their own disappointments, projecting their anger onto children who have little power to defend themselves.
This is one of the reasons I found the drama so frustrating. The story repeatedly expects viewers to sympathize with authority figures while ignoring how unfairly students are treated. Even when adults behave unprofessionally or abusively, the narrative often shifts the blame back onto the children. The result is a drama that feels less like a thoughtful examination of education and more like an attempt to justify adults who misuse their power while portraying students as inherently problematic.
Episode 3 particularly reinforced my belief that the show's priorities are misplaced. Instead of focusing on how teachers can support and protect students, it presents an environment where children are constantly judged, blamed, and punished. The message seems to be that students must earn basic respect, while teachers deserve sympathy regardless of their actions. I found that perspective both unrealistic and deeply troubling.
