--Note: this review contains minor spoilers--If I had to describe Man of Honor in one word it would be disappointing, because disappoint it will. The story was supposed to be about a nurse and a baseball player who find love in their journey. This was EXTREMELY misleading. Yun Jae In (Park Min Young) was a nurse in training, and Kim Young Kwang (Chun Jung Myung) was a washed up baseball player with one successful game in his career, for about two episodes (and one more after being absent for 20 episodes). The remainder of the series mainly deals with faux-cest and revenge. The story was very makjang driven and unstable. It seemed like the writer didn't really know where he was going with the story, which made it feel unfinished towards the end.
Despite these flaws, Man of Honor was fairly enjoyable until midway through, after about episode 12, the story went on an unsalvageable downward spiral.
While the main problem lies within the writing, the acting was also poor. There was a lot of overacting, and Park Min Young looked as though she had a mental illness when she smiled widely for minutes on end.
Overall, this is not a drama that I would recommend, and it is longer than the average of 16 episodes (this one totals 24). There are many good to outstanding dramas out there that can be substituted for this much inferior one.

Acting/Cast: What can I say? I fell in love with Yoon Shi Yoon when he was Baker King, Kim Tak Gu and this drama made me a confirmed fan of his acting. A different character than Tak Gu and he pulled it off very well. Lee Ji Ah's return to acting following her highly publicized scandal was not too bad either. She was very believable as the ill tempered policewoman. A special mention for Lee Ki Kwang for his dual characters in this drama (as Jo Ma Roo and Pink Chicken). For someone from a non-acting background, he did well. The rest of the cast were also fantastic.
Music: I totally fell in love with the sexy OST "Dreaming" by B2ST (the song that kept playing whenever the main actor is in his "rich guy" mood). It totally suited the scenes and atmosphere. The other OSTs are excellent as well. What can I say....they are all in my MP3 walkman already and I am listening to them as I am writing this review! :)
Rewatched value: I am already rewatching it after finishing it. I am also planning to buy the DVDs for keeps. This drama is worth its spot in my personal collection of KDramas.
Overall: I am impressed and entertained. I could not stop kicking myself for having scrolled past this drama when it first debuted but because of the new year holidays, I made time for it. Best decision so far where KDramas are concerned for year 2011. I am surprised why it has not received much love and attention from fellow drama addicts. This one here is a true gem, despite its rather bland synopsis that does it no credit whatsoever! My verdict? WATCH IT! SERIOUSLY!

I'm actually quite jealous, I want Yoh.......
Also, I love Haruna's clothes in it! They are so bright, Happy & Unique & I love the doc martens boots she wears, In fact i'm thinking of getting the last pair she wore because they are gorgeous but also because i'm hoping mine will fall off and a guy like yoh will pick it up lol. Well i definitely think you should watch this if you're not looking for a serious movie and you want a totally sweet yet bubbly and funny movie that will make you feel happy for no reason. Yes, It is predictable but that's part of it's charm.I wish they would make a drama out of this movie, I want more. Also i'm not sure if it's just me but i think Junpei looks like Noctis from the upcoming final fantasy game in this movie.
Anyway I want to watch it again already ......and i just finished it like 2 minutes ago, So watch it, It's so sweet, I love it!.....Also yes i know how cheesy this review sounds but it's true!

The main couple is extremely endearing. Their character growth and relationship isn't boring but extremely sweet. The setting is beautiful and the cinematography wasn't a slack job either. The music is my favourite among drama soundtracks, especially since I have no real interest in traditional Korean music. Nothing is really over-exaggerated and there are quite a few cheeky/funny scenes, predominantly in the first half of the drama.
The last few episodes did drag and there is a good reason for it; the drama became a cash cow and was extended for four extra episodes, which is the main and really only reason I'm not giving this drama 10/10.
If you haven't seen this and enjoy Korean dramas, then you should go watch it, like now.

I'll get some thing out of the way first: Wilber and Dean are terrible actors. Rainie's voice was cute but irritating. OH THE CLICHES!
BUT
the humor was there and was strong enough to bring me back another time. There was chemistry between the two leads. They were cheesy, albeit fun. I did say the guys were bad at acting, but all you have to do is suspend disbelief (that people could act so fake) and find the heart that's there.
I guess most people just don't see the cuteness and purity of this drama. If I were to rewatch any drama with horrible acting, cliches, and over the top fluffiness, I'd pick this one.

Nishikido is such a good actor that I couldn't help sharing Wakaba's exasperation with him.
The story was rushed at the end. In fact it needs a sequel.
How can Wakaba's dream be realized while still allowing her to remain emotionally whole?

what it is trying to do, and does very well, is tell a fun and interesting story. there is a lot more of what americans might expect when they think romance than you usually see in k-drama. the four leads all nail thier characters and evoke in you exactly what they are supposed to when they are supposed to. it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out what happens next, but you like the characters so much that you want to watch it happen, even if you know you arent going to be shocked.
