The visuals are clear and nice.....music is on point.....acting is perfect

Now to the gossiping*laughing*

A bit confusing in the first episode yet the confusion leads to suspense and curiosity....
It's like story telling from a book with the pictures moving... really nice

The storyline is filled with lots of emotions but very satisfying ones .....the show is not a bore at all it's really sweet and calming yet spicy and cold.

another boring male lead character

this one is fairly okay-ish written and almost feels like it has lots of webtoon inspired scenes and elements but also somehow the male lead has that genric boring look and dialogues that instead of making him look sincere, make him look like he lacks interest and life..i think the reason is also heavily the actors and how they choose portray these stoic characters and the director as well. the female lead is decent so far but her chemistry even in scenes where she is supposed to be impressed is missing. this might get better but i am struggling to continue bc of the lack of chemistry and the story lacking depth.

Need a strong heart

I watched it a year after it aired and I tell you even today my heart still aches...I have watched it a few time back then and I'm planning to watch again.

The beginning is a bit dark yet promising...the emotions haven't yet hit the top so don't get too frustrated yet ,save it up for the later episodes ,trust me you will need it.


Fast forward to the mid ,the title bloody romance didn't actually sink in yet but highlighting the romance part ,it was superb...I also tell inluv with the lovers ,I shipped them so hard that I kept screaming when the other guy was trying to get in between though he is cute and seems to be caring a bit but it wasn't his romance *laughing*




Now the last few episodes
Drum roll please........

It was a bloody romance after all...it hurt me alot ,I still feel hurt even today imagine it was a 2018 drama Nd now it's 2026,myb if I watch it again now il find closure.
I don't wanna say much,just for the last episode be prepared for the emotional rollercoaster,the mixed emotions,joy, frustration, misunderstanding,pain,anger like everything...just be prepared

But overall it's a really good drama to watch ,I highly recommend it....it's something that stimulates the mind Nd heart

WASNT REALLY FEELING IT BUT NICE CHEMISTRY?

Let me start by saying this: I enjoyed the drama, but I have thoughts about that ending. 😭 And honestly… not all of them are good. The script was honestly pretty weak in places, and you can really feel it in the later half.

Honestly, I feel like the whole Chu Zhao storyline towards the end was unnecessary and honestly dragged the pacing down. The war was already intense enough, and I really don’t think we needed to lose important characters for the story to make its point. It felt like emotional shock value more than meaningful storytelling, and it honestly took away from what could have been a stronger ending. It could have ended just as effectively without all those deaths, and I think it would have been better for it.

Now, Cheng Lei… THAT MAN’S EYES. 👏 His expressions were honestly one of my favourite things about the drama. The way he could convey so much without saying a word? Top-tier acting. And the aura he had during his fighting scenes??? Absolutely insane. He really knew how to command the screen, even when the writing around him started to weaken.

And Zhou Ye — acting was okay 🫡 but I’ll be honest… her aura wasn’t really giving in some of the heavier scenes, and I wanted a bit more impact from her character at key moments. Her chemistry with Cheng Lei was still one of the highlights for me though. Their scenes together actually felt convincing, and I loved watching their relationship develop, even when the plot around them started to feel a bit messy.The part where she exposes rufei in ep32 poor script there

Also, Zhang Kangle caught my eye! 👀 I wasn’t expecting it, but he definitely left an impression. Another actor added to my “I need to see what else he’s in” list. 😂

One thing I genuinely appreciated was how early Xiao Jue found out about Chu Zhao’s gender. THANK YOU. 🙏 Usually, dramas drag out the “OMG, SHE’S ACTUALLY A WOMAN?!” reveal for half the series, and by the time the ML finds out, I’m already tired. 😂 Having Xiao Jue find out relatively early allowed their relationship to actually progress instead of wasting episode after episode on a secret that everyone watching already knew — and honestly, that was one of the smarter writing choices in an otherwise uneven script.

The chemistry, acting, action and overall story made this a really entertaining watch. It definitely kept me invested, even though I had some issues with the later part of the plot and how unnecessarily heavy-handed it became.

Would I rewatch it? Probably not. I enjoyed the experience, but it’s not going into my “I could watch this 10 times” category. The ending especially left a bit of a sour aftertaste that I can’t ignore.

And finally…

THE KING.Sir. was written well at end the stupid decisions was out of nowhere and wasn't needed

And don’t even get me started on He Rufei — the villainy felt so over-the-top and almost clownish at points that it pulled me out of the tension instead of adding to it..The dramatic wannabe intimidating and angry jaw movements were just embarrassing

Overall: entertaining, great chemistry, impressive acting, and some really memorable performances — but the weak script, uneven character writing, and ending choices could have been handled much better.

Nothing compares.

The sociopolitical relevance and depth of the plot makes you forget the low budget graphics. Wei Wuxian might be the most well written character I’ve ever seen. The shift in tone between a carefree privileged adolescent to standing against convention and corruption at the cost of everything is jarring. The Untamed depicts the dangers of mob mentality and how fear can be used to control people incredibly well. One of the best things about it is that the characters are not infallible. They make mistakes and have flaws. Lan Wangji’s flaw is that his moral code is so deeply ingrained that he fails to turn against a corrupt system. As a result he loses the most important person to him and lives in regret for 16 years, but when given a second chance he doesn’t make the same mistakes as he did in his youth. Wei wuxian is impulsive and arrogant and those threatened by his strength use that against him to demonize him. While many of those close to him knew he was not in the wrong they were too afraid to speak out, and, as a result, perpetuated a system of oppression and tyranny, demonstrating the danger of passivity. The way that fame, love, and admiration can turn to fear, hatred, and villainization is a haunting reflection of society and human nature. There are very few that I would consider to be a masterpiece but this is undoubtedly one of them. It has an unbeatable cast, an unmatched soundtrack, and handles comedy, morality, societal conformity, and tragedy with ease.

★★☆☆☆ — A promising story that lost its way

I genuinely enjoyed the first 10–11 episodes. The drama was building a good foundation, introducing the characters and taking us along on their emotional journey. Then, almost overnight, the storytelling changed. Instead of continuing to develop the characters, the drama shifted into this constant game of keeping us guessing about what happened to Chen Yi and why he pushed Miao Jing away. By the end, it felt less like suspense and more like 20+ episodes of playing catch-up.

And unfortunately, the eventual explanation did not justify the wait. Finding out what happened to Chen Yi did make some of his behaviour more understandable, but the drama simply told us instead of allowing us to experience it. We could have seen more of his abduction, his life in Jing City, the investigation, and the emotional toll it took on him. After building this mystery for so long, giving us the answer almost casually near the end felt incredibly anticlimactic. If you’re going to make your audience wait 20+ episodes, the emotional payoff needs to be worth the wait.

The one thing I will give the drama enormous credit for is Miao Jing’s character development. She genuinely grows from a young, naive girl into a smart, capable businesswoman who knows what she wants, takes responsibility for her choices, and protects the people and things she cares about. Most importantly, she isn’t reduced to being a damsel in distress. Her growth felt earned because we actually got to watch it happen.

Ultimately, Love for You had so much potential, and that’s probably why the second half frustrated me so much. I don’t mind slow burns, angst or complicated characters — but please don’t spend 20+ episodes making me wonder what happened, only to explain it away at the very end. I needed the story to make me feel the revelation, not simply give me the answer. 😭

The best way to get revenge (on others) is to be grateful (to yourself).

I was quite surprised by Payback. It's a more interesting, profound, and well-rounded film than I had imagined and expected, and most of this stems from its pacing and the psychological development of Sun. In terms of genre, I'd guess the film is more of a character study, using romance as a... medium, or a healing remedy for the characters' psychological trauma. However, the individual character arcs still feel somewhat more engaging and worth discussing. The film really did a decent job with the "show, don't tell" aspect; the inner conflicts, tragedies, and traumas are portrayed clearly without feeling forced or superficial. For this, praise must be given to the expressive acting through the eyes of the actor playing Sun. On one hand, I could feel a sense of "how this scene would look if it were drawn in a manhwa"; on the other hand, I also saw the characters as cinematic figures, like tiny fragments of real people in actual society.

The story still features dark elements stemming from the dark side of the industry and human nature, with nuances ranging from emotional numbness and total depletion to hatred and love. The most obvious revenge arc in the film clearly isn't about making the villains pay a horrific price, but rather about the characters' process of self-healing and finding themselves again—through love (not just romantic love), and through every bit of warmth they can still feel in their frozen hearts. In reality, Sun's revenge isn't all that aggressive or burning with hatred, and the conclusion doesn't even lead to much. This is because, intrinsically, whether before or after knowing the truth and deciding to take revenge, Sun remains a person devoid of his own emotions, to the point where it seems the person he truly wants to punish and torment is actually himself. Therefore, the true conclusion of this revenge, for Sun, is the moment he chooses to forgive—to forgive himself. And that is a very humane ending and journey.

As for the other character, Jay, his revenge arc seems a bit more methodical and proper. Although slightly rushed, he did manage to reclaim what belonged to him, and more importantly, he managed to win back his lover.

And, besides the two main leads, the motives, life goals, and reasons to keep moving forward for many other characters also stem from "revenge." Only for everyone to eventually realize that the best way to take revenge on others is to live better, to repay oneself for never stopping the effort and never giving up (even when moving forward aimlessly at times). The love in the film is very warm, magical, and full of miraculous coincidences. But that doesn't really matter, as long as the film successfully conveys its core values.

The romantic relationship in the film is decent; it's not the main focus and plays its role well. For me, there's nothing to complain about regarding that. Even though the chemistry feels a bit weird at times, overall, I still understand the intention and the dynamic of the couple that the producers wanted to portray. That is enough for a good film.

Undeniably, there are many parts of the film that could have been done better, explored deeper, or pushed further. But beyond just getting a satisfying revenge, I think what the film elevates more is the humane meaning behind it—a value that I can feel 100%, without it being overly on-the-nose or forced like some of those preachy "life lesson" type of movies out there.

Raw, Emotional & Brilliant

I don’t know why I put this drama off for so long because it has now become one of my favourites.

The acting was fantastic from the judges to child actors. Everything felt natural. Nothing was overly dramatic, fake, or unnecessary.

I loved that the drama explored different kinds of juvenile cases instead of focusing on just one type of crime. Some cases were brutal enough where I felt that they deserved harsher punishment, but the drama also showed the other side how the system works and how even minors who genuinely change can be permanently labelled as criminals by society.

It also left me with a strong feeling that sometimes laws seem more focused on protecting offenders than the victims. Not just juvenile offenders, but the justice system in general. I do wish there were stricter consequences in real life to prevent repeat offenders.

The FL’s character development was one of my favourite parts. Watching her slowly change while still remaining true to who she was was incredibly satisfying.

The second half is much more emotional. Every character made me feel something anger, frustration, sadness, empathy.

It’s only 10 episodes, and honestly, I don’t have much to complain about. Every episode felt meaningful and well done.

10/10. Absolutely worth watching.

Taken but Korean

Wow this show was so freaking good!!

I was not bored not even for a second, the characters were so well done and the dynamic between the main 3 dads was wonderful! Perfect mix of action and comedy and every episode was entertaining and kept me on my toes.

Sometimes some bits were predictable but it wasn’t anything that ruined the experience. I also didn’t understand how the daughter survived for so long bleeding out and then being stuffed inside a bag whilst unconscious, surely it would’ve killed her in real life not to mention it seemed like it took Kim days to find her so how did she survive without water and food (since she was rescued only in ep7).

But overall everything was so well done, I really have no complaints. I finished it in 2 days, satisfied with every story being wrapped up for every character. I will be eagerly waiting for a season 2 should there be one!

Under-developed Plot Saved by Chen Si's Wardrobe

The two leads had EXPLOSIVE chemistry. I dont really get why their needs to be noncon in every chinese drama. It's as if they're trying to desensitize and normalize it. There was no need to put it in here. Oddly, my favorite part was when Chen Si was getting into the car and he caught his jacket. It was ridiculously cool. I also loved his suits for this show. The FL was kinda vanilla here. She was good but I feel as if her character lacked the strength and assertiveness that you follow a main character for. As a stand-alone this was a good (not great but good) show. If comparing it to the many many other adaptations of this storyline it ranks mid-tier. The 2nd ML was kinda lame. If you are going to spend 3 years doing IVF to get your ""wife"" pregnant then move on. Why are you dragging your childhood best friend along with you. I do wish we could have seen the adoptive mother being released from prison and that reunion.

⭐ for acting is for Net

As for the storyline, I actually think it’s quite good. It’s not the same old storyline we always see, so that was a plus for me. The plot itself was interesting enough, even though the pacing was a big problem.

The acting, however, couldn’t really make me happy. Klao is not a very convincing actor for me. His emotions don’t feel stable or natural. When he is crying, sometimes it looks like he is laughing, and when he is laughing, it can feel a little silly. I honestly think he needs to work harder on expressing his emotions naturally.

For the main couple, their chemistry just wasn’t chemistrying for me. 😭 I didn’t really feel that strong connection between them. And honestly, I feel like the whole couple dynamic was being carried by Net. Net is already a good actor, and he knows how to express his emotions well. He was the one who kept the emotional side of the drama going and basically carried a lot of the scenes.

I also felt bad for Net because even though JJ, who plays Nakun, isn’t a very strong actor for me, Net managed to cover for him really well. I feel like because of Net’s acting, I was able to continue watching the drama instead of dropping it.

Even though I liked the storyline, the drama was way too slow for me. I skipped quite a lot because so many parts felt unnecessarily dragged out. Honestly, after the first two or three episodes, I was already thinking about dropping it. But because of Net, I held on and eventually finished it.

So, overall, I wouldn’t highly recommend this drama, but I also wouldn’t say it’s 100% bad. The storyline is actually worth trying if you like this kind of plot. Just be prepared for the slow pacing and some questionable acting. 😂

For me, this is more of a “watch if you want, skip if you’re bored” drama. If you’re curious, give it a try—you can always skip through the slower parts.
