Resenha
A Trama é boa, a atuação, a música.
Recomento.

I'll take one of everything
As a woman who also appreciates boyish charm and looks from the 25-35 range, the first thing about this series that gained my appreciation was the age gap. It's one of the tropes I loved about My Dear Lady and Dating in the Kitchen. And there is something about historic CDramas and KDramas that draw me in every time. Pretty sure it's the romanticized costumes and anti-tech that gets me. I did find this series a little stretched for what it was. I think this would have been just as good done over 10 episodes rather than 12, but it wasn't so much that I felt super annoyed. If you are someone who enjoys watching cooking competitions, I really think you will like the way she describes each of the dishes she cooks when she presents them. I will say, I thought we were building up to a secondary couple with the chef's assistant and the assassin, but it never actually took off. Still I found plenty of action to keep the story moving, and I really loved the way they wrapped it all up. I don't know that I will watch this one again, but I am happy to have watched it at least once.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?

super sweet vertical series
Overall: I enjoyed how it focused on the leads. 30 short episodes available on GagaOOLala app and iQIYI app (iQIYI has 5 interview bts episodes). What I Liked
- focused on the 2 leads
- the taller guy wanted to be a puppy/pet
- sweet/caring moments
Room For Improvement
- guy with glasses had that overacting thing, but it wasn't too bad
- didn't show the head pat after he first asked for it
- wanted another couple episodes of them as a couple

Don't Waste your time!
I was really excited about this one going in, especially because the prequel was so successful and set the bar pretty high. But honestly, I couldn’t even get past episode one. It ended up being such a letdown. The actors seem talented and likable, but their performances were surprisingly difficult to connect with, which made it hard to get invested. On top of that, the plot just feels all over the place. It’s hard to follow, and nothing really pulls me in or makes me care about what’s happening. I also couldn’t connect with any of the characters, which made it even harder to stay engaged. I kept trying to focus, but my attention kept drifting because the story just didn’t grab me at all. I really wanted to like it, but it just didn’t work for me. This is the lowest rating I’ve ever given in my 10 years of watching dramas.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
Cuter than expected.
A cute, simple and quick watch. Just what I was looking for. Nothing complicated or too in depth.I thought the actors all did well. Some things could have used a bit more explanation or background but it would have made the movie too long. Lots of plot holes but nothing that interferes with the message.
Only thing I would have liked to see is more of the two characters relationship after what is now the ending. But again, that’s not the point and I liked how short and to the point the story was.

With friends like that, who needs enemies ?
Friends who betray each other for money, what a basic plot… and yet devilishly well executed, with every episode managing to surprise. With friends like that, who needs enemies ?A dark comedy whose nastiness makes it particularly gripping. The main couple find themselves at the center of it all, despite themselves, and get through it only by making serious compromises. In the end, they are merely pawns of the rich, and they know it, so they act accordingly. You might think you’ll find a little empathy in the heiress, but that’s quickly taken away from you. What happens to her is horrific, but her reaction is just as unacceptable, and she never takes her friends’ financial problems seriously ; to her, three million is nothing, but to them it makes all the difference. The epilogue offers a bitter conclusion, a somewhat unsatisfying resolution, but at least all the pretences have been laid bare.
In the midst of it all, poor Da Rae, the unfortunate girl, suffers greatly. She is the one who has truly been betrayed in this story. And she is used as an excuse to justify the worst possible acts, even though she asks for nothing.
Shim Eun Kyung/Yo Na comes across as rather creepy and cold-hearted at first. You never quite know where you stand with her. A really, really good character, played brilliantly to make her believable.
And finally, well done to Ha Jung Woo/Ki Su Jong for that free latte. At last ! However, those four scenes where he imagines or dreams up things that aren’t actually happening : I declare them illegal and refuse to put up with them.

A Story That Barely Moves
Impossible to Imagine is the story of a woman who has contentedly painted herself into a corner in her life. She's running a business that has been handed down from generation to generation within her family and is on the verge of becoming obsolete due to the cultural and demographic changes in Kyoto. At the recommendation of a friend, she hires a business consultant to try and salvage the family business. He is half Japanese and half Australian and immediately offends her with his openness and willingness to examine what might be going wrong with her business. FL is a rigid traditionalist from the very first scene and to think of doing anything differently than she's always done it is offensive to her. But her desperation drives her to invite him back and continue to work with him. He offers some very workable solutions and she begins to cater to a more foreign born customer base. He serves as translator and emotional support when it's all too much for her, but he also creates the occasional problem by handling conflict in ways the locals find unacceptable. Despite this, they work well together and form an attachment that works for a while.Eventually, his need to look to the future and to make changes and explore begins to feel like a constant threat to her need for everything to remain the same. The movie finishes with her and her father continuing to run the business with the added changes, but she breaks things off with the ML. Her complaint when they were together was that he wanted change to happen too fast. My complaint after watching the movie is that the character development was infinitesimal and story arc was pea sized. Maybe that was the director's point, to explore the cultural resistance to change that some areas in Japan are internally battling with, but man oh man, I wish there had been a more fruitful exploration. Imagine if the characters had learned that fear is the root of rigidity and that creativity can be employed to both preserve the loveliness of unique cultural expression and develop plans for adaptation to changing cultural tides. Imagine if she had taken the hand that offered to help her out of the corner she was painted into. Ugh. She denied the call to adventure and chose the safe and predictable option.
All that to say, the actors did well. They seemed like regular people that might actually exist. The technical side of the film was fairly amateur, but it didn't intrude into the story.

EXCELLENT SCRIPT AND STORY. AND CINEMATIC!
I’ll start by saying that I don’t watch a lot of BLs. I’ve started several over time, but most of them I dropped after a few episodes. Sammy’s Children’s Day was different. It’s a bit of a slice of life drama, about the underworld in 1980s Hong Kong, but it has a very cinematic quality. It is beautifully shot and has dialogue that actually develops the characters and builds the world around them. What touched me most, however, was the dynamic between the MLs. It felt realistic, natural, and I don’t know… human? Not artificial or over the top. Their relationship develops slowly because the focus is on their emotional connection and friendship rather than just sexual tension or physical intimacy (though we get some intense moments too, which are beautifully presented, btw). If you are looking for a BL that is mostly about kissing and sex, this is not it.
Yes, the dubbing is in Cantonese, but the actors performed in Mandarin originally. At first, the lack of sync between the voices and their mouths is obvious. But after a while, you just stop noticing it. The actors are so expressive and immersed in their roles that you just stop focusing on the mismatch. Their eyes, the small details in their gestures… those carry all the scenes. Plus, the dubbing is fantastic! Whoever voiced them captured the actors' emotions perfectly.
The storytelling is understated, which makes this BL so great, imo. It doesn’t try too hard to dramatize or sensationalize everything. I love how it leans into everyday moments. That’s why it feels more grounded than other BLs. After each episode, I would just sit there for a while and revisit some moments in my head. They really NEED to make a season 2! They absolutely must!
The best way I can put it is that this BL is likely to stay with you. Not because of some crazy plot twists, but because of how GENUINE it feels.
10++++ from me

there are two different endings for this one
Overall: I took into consideration that this was made in 2016 and from China. No official platform. There are two endings and you can probably guess how each will end. Note the movie and my review might have triggering content.Content Warnings: intimate partner violence, choking, beginning sexual assault (touching), violence, blood, manipulation, slap, non con kiss turned consensual, homophobia
What I Liked
- there were actual apologies that a character meant, he had character growth and I believe they will live happily
- domestic bliss montage
- bed scene
Room For Improvement
- that slap was not needed
- love triangle
- don't understand what was with the fiancee thing

No US show, but it has decent cast chemistry
Wow, coming back to kdrama after a while it really its really something. I had to remember myself that they are special... So, a very short review.Nice visuals. Mostly good sound design ( I was pleasantly surprised by a lot of things un multiple occasions). Mostly, because a lot of times it is also used as means to induce a "fast-pacing scene on screen, feel the tension, pls" feeling. So, the usual boring dragging kdrama pacing, but also having fast-pacing stuff, reserved for when they wanna give you the "something serious happening now" feel. The fight choreography and the technical aspects were the usual. Good casting. Well, mostly. We also have stuff like: an actress thats supposedly 12yo in the flashbacks, 19 yo present time, but she looks like shes 25ish... At first I thought the character was supposed to have certain health issues, but in later episodes I realised she's trying to act being 12yo. Unless the translation was bad and she wasn't really 12 then, dunno.
And now the good stuff. For those of you that watched the US procedural TV shows, don't expect the same level of competency. No CSI something, no LAPD something, no nothing. Anyone who loves those kind of shows should move to Korea and get a job. Its like those people in some anime, that transmigrate to a new world and they have prior knowledge, and BAM, insta OP. If reality is any as in the dramas, no matter how low/common your levels are, in Korea you'd be considered a genius :)))) Any time there was some sort of conundrum on screen, I was "talking" to them: "why aren't you doing this? Why aren't doing that? Wait, what? Whats that logic? Thats not how it works. Why the fk are you looking at him?" etc. It will really test your nerves :)))
If this is not your first kdrama, you should know my now how the things are done there. But now, the main attraction point would be the chemistry between cast. Oh, and the fact that the MC (the detective), its not some super mega genius, or rich, or any of the usual sort of gimmicks. He's smart enough, and works hard, and tests a lot of his new ideas, some produce result, some are not. That really makes him endearing. That is, most of the times, when the script is ok and the story is not some plot device for fueling drama. The rest of the main cast, also good. Since I started with this section, I have a tiny question. Why would the writer make the Police feel incompetent? I mean, when you hear " its not the hour that we were interested in, why should we bother checking anyway?" sort of thing, you start wondering how does one pass the exams and enter the PD. There's one character that does that a lot, but I've noticed it even from the "section head" or whatever his title was, someone thats supposed to be wiser... The acting was decent enough, again, apart from those typical kdrama scenes when they try to be "look, a deranged person", or angry etc.
As I was hinting earlier, the writing is not that great. A lot of plot devices and plot contrivances going on, mixed with a lot of drama for no real reason but to fake some sort of high stakes. The main storyline was a mess, they had no idea what direction they wanted to follow. So, they gave us a mix... Some sort of a main, but also stuff that might or might not be related. With comically evilmen. Yes, completely with "pls narrate your motives at the end, so the viewers will understand why". Oh, and the last 2,5 episodes were really bad. Geez...
To sum it up, A decent enough drama. If nothing else, the cast had chemistry all around. Don't bother with the heavily-induced "serious" subjects, I'm sure those were specifically selected just to create sensation and people to give them high ratings. "The themes, the themes", I know. So, basically, a drama for those who don't like to think. If you have any tiny bit of US procedural TV shows knowledge, its gonna be a hard watch. Maybe.
I gets a rating of 7, barely. But you might enjoy it. Like I said, the characters have charisma. As resembling real people, not the "omg, I love that actor/actress, I watch all of their work, they so pretty" crap that people usually use to rate something... And yes, I will now watch the second season. And no, not because of the cliffhanger (that was crap, and I was kinda expecting something like that when they give you flags all-around), but merely because I'm curious if the show will now have a better direction.
Have a lovely evening.

Girl from Nowhere the Reset

VERY CONFUSING
My experience watching Girl from Nowhere: The Reset was honestly frustrating. The episodes felt incredibly confusing from start to finish, and I struggled to follow what was even happening. I really like Becky and her previous work, so I genuinely tried to give it a fair chance just for her, but I couldn’t get into the series at all. The storytelling felt messy and unclear, which made it hard to stay engaged. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re okay with being completely lost and confused the entire time.¿Te ha parecido útil esta reseña?
1.5 or 2x speed recommended...
I could not watch the entire thing without it being on 2X speed...It did have good deep emotions and really enjoyed all the characters!
But the plot was just not it.................... felt like the plot barely related and was only tied in when needed... Most of it was pertaining to her hometown and some like deep emotions tied with a family's past and trauma...
Honestly, felt extremely draggy and some humor was there but really watched it because I do love the two main leads.
I can't say it's worth the watch, but if you have leisure and like sort of a slice of life, slow paced drama - this is a golden spot then~
Also, I think the chemistry and relation between the main leads were kind of meh? Like something about them felt off (i LOVE both actors btw!!). Not sure if it's because of the sort of characters they had to play or?
Overall, good ideas to the importance of good friends, family, and neighbors - but think they could have made this into a mini series or something LOL...
happy watching everyone~
