Annoying, Frustrating, Boring.

You can disagree all you want but this drama felt so terrible to me that it almost caused me a drama block!! It had a very promising start but especially after episode 6,,everything became so messy and more than boring..🤧
Watching the past trauma over and over again just frustrated me....It felt like the story had completely frozen 😑

Comedy scenes didnt make me laugh even once and there wasnt a single character I could truly relate to!!! Most characters were annoying..
I had been forcing myself saying "keep watching keep watching, it will get better..It has to be good! Its kim bum's drama..Its Ahn Hyo seop's drama..😮‍💨 I was literally watching it at 2x speed and still struggling to get through it..

Me most disappointed in Ahn Hyo Seop.. His makeup, body language, expressions..nothing matched his usual standard...

And Kim Bum!!!
He barely had any screentime or depth in his role... Why did he even choose a role like this? He deserves so much more than this...

So why did I still continue watching?

If you are looking for a K-drama that breaks the mold of traditional superhero stories and guarantees a good laugh, The Wonderfools is undoubtedly your next must-watch. The series brilliantly fuses '90s nostalgia, comedy, and action into a formula that feels incredibly fresh.

Set in an era where heroes don't wear capes or have flawlessly tragic backstories, the plot introduces us to a group of completely ordinary (and somewhat clumsy) citizens in the town of Haeseong. Overnight, they discover they possess superpowers, but there’s a catch: their abilities only trigger in completely random and unpredictable ways.

Park Eun-bin, Cha Eun-woo, Choi Dae-hoon, and Im Seong-jae lead the cast with undeniable charisma. Seeing them step outside of their usual picture-perfect roles to play flawed, funny, and deeply human characters is an absolute delight.

Unlike Hollywood mega-productions, superpowers here are nothing but a headache. The comedy stems from the sheer ridiculousness of the situations, like trying to save the day only for your power to shut off right in the middle of a fight.

The late '90s (1999) setting is meticulously crafted. From the color palette to the soundtrack, the series wraps you in a nostalgic atmosphere that instantly transports you back to that era.

The Wonderfools doesn't try to be your typical "save the world" story; its true superpower is its heart. With a brisk pace, well-executed visual effects that never lose their comedic touch, and a script that knows exactly when to make you laugh and when to tug at your heartstrings, this drama cements itself as one of the most pure and enjoyable watches of the year.

It's... alright

I may be in the minority with this review but this one was subpar at best for me. To give it some grace, I did know it wasn't exactly my style of romance drama but with such good reviews I couldn't help but give it a try.

First off have to admit, the cast is lovely, I think Chen Xingxu & Lu Yuxiao make a cute couple and their acting is good. That being said their roles as ML&FL is mostly just in eye candy rather than on screen chemistry. The love story is sweet but not the kind that really pulls me in as their romance takes a back seat to business and family struggles.

However, the thing that really threw me off this drama is actually the 2FL and her ex-husband. The presentation of that couple was extremely odd - It was clear that there was difficulties going on between the two regarding communication. Yet the break up was done very messily, the ex never actually cheated but the 2FL wouldn't even talk about the situation with him. Yes, he was wrong in many situations but her lack of communication regarding such a big decision also wasn't right, the divorce was handled very abruptly and awkwardly.

The Most Mature Love Story in Yumi’s Cells

Season 3 of Yumi’s Cells works because it focuses less on dramatic romantic highs and lows and more on what happens after Yumi has already achieved the life she once wanted. She is now a successful writer with financial stability and a career she worked hard for, yet after spending three years away from relationships, there is still a quiet emptiness in her life despite everything she has accomplished.

That emotional starting point shapes how her relationship with Soonrok develops. Unlike the previous male leads, he never tries to impress Yumi or force his way into her life. He simply stays himself, which makes their connection feel natural and grounded. Their relationship grows through small moments, silence, and gradual understanding rather than dramatic tension. The season also acknowledges the age difference between them, with Yumi in her mid-30s and Soonrok being 29, which adds to Yumi’s awkwardness early on. However, despite being younger, Soonrok feels like the most emotionally mature male lead in the series.

The Cell Village concept remains one of the strongest parts of the show. At the start, most of Yumi’s cells are dormant, with Writer Cell dominating her daily life after years of focusing on work. As she spends more time with Soonrok, different cells slowly begin waking up again, bringing emotional energy back into her world. In contrast, Soonrok’s Cell Village feels like winter — calm, quiet, and controlled, with Rational Cell running the system while most emotions remain asleep during the day.

The OST also strengthens the emotional continuity of the trilogy. The new songs add depth to Yumi and Soonrok’s relationship, while tracks from Seasons 1 and 2 blend naturally into the story, making the entire series feel emotionally connected from beginning to end.

Kim Go-eun and Kim Jae-won keep everything grounded through subtle acting and quiet chemistry built through timing, pauses, and small reactions rather than dramatic emotional scenes. That restraint is also what makes the season so rewatchable, because many of its emotional details become clearer the more you revisit it.

Doesn't deserve the hate!!!

I really don't understand the hate for this drama tbh. Is the story a little predictable? Sure, maybe it is, but its far from bad either! It has some really strong beats and personally, I really enjoyed it. Song Kang and Kim You-Jung have insane chemistry with each other. They are literally one of the cutest couples I've seen in KDrama so far and I absolutely love the progression of their relationship. The romantic scenes are passionate and sweet and in my opinion, well executed. Personally, Song Kang nails the role of Gu-Won; he's cold and prickly, but he's also sweet and romantic. Threatening, but also a little bit goofy. And he switches it up so easily and naturally, it doesn't feel jarring or out of place. Kim You-Jung is amazing as Do Hee - especially in EP15. Girl had me crying over Gu Won as if he was my own boyfriend. And don't even get me started on the supporting cast!! They were all fantastic too. Just give it a go guys. Tropes and all, it's a fun watch and dosent deserve to be bombed - not everything has to be a sweeping masterpiece to be enjoyable.

full of youth and sweetness

Finally finished watching it! I decided to buy the express for the encore because I couldn't wait another week, and honestly, it was so worth it. This season is definitely the best, on par with Season 3, or maybe even better because of the stunning winter scenery and cinematography.

The director got really lucky. They said this season would focus more on friendships, but unexpectedly, it delivered amazing romantic results. I heard it’s super successful in the mainland, and from what I’ve seen on X and TikTok, whenever a cast member steps out, huge crowds of fans swarm them. It’s no surprise though, because this season is genuinely that good.

What I appreciate the most is that every couple really makes an effort to see each other outside the show and tries to stay in touch, whether things end up with a happy ending (HE) or a bad ending (BE). Their dedication is totally worth appreciating.

The most adorable couple chemistry I have every seen! ?

I absolutely loved this series! It did take me a beat to get into it, but as soon as Li Yitong's priceless humour and adorable aloofness started to shine through, I was completely hooked.

I genuinely think Li Yitong is the best screen partner for Liu Yuning. Their chemistry is absolutely adorable, and they play off each other so naturally.

The story itself is a lot of fun, but it also has enough depth toward the end to make you fully invested in the outcome. The OST was fantastic too. The opening theme was my favourite, and Liu Yuning absolutely knocked it out of the park.

I would definitely recommend sticking with this one until the end. You won't be disappointed.

Sweet

Trapped:

This was a good drama, i really liked the story. The visuals and music were good.
The acting was good, i had a few moments that i thought, this is a bit too rehearsed, but most of it was really good.
The mains had great chemistry and the kisses were good. I also liked the other male couple, they were so cute together. Their chemistry was great and the kisses were also good.

Make our days count:
This was also a good drama, it had a good story. The visuals and music were very good.
The acting was good, though i thought the acting of Wayne Song was too childish when he played he was in love, but that might have been the script. The main couple had some chemistry and good kisses.
The second couple was my favorite, their chemistry was amazing and the kisses and NC scene were amazing too, it all felt so natural.


I recommend watching this!

not for the faint at heart

This drama is not for the faint at heart and not one I suggest watching close to bedtime. it was highly violent and whenever PJH came out with a pen and used it, I gasped LOUDLY like I was standing right there.
the story did lack depth, though. we needed more story to be truly invested in the lives of these boys. Nevertheless, I was hooked to the point of wanting a positive resolution/ending. But I needed more to emphasize with their choices and actions - with all the flashbacks I don’t think I fully understood why Baek Jin chose that path.
I hate to pick dramas apart too much, but the idea that such a level of bullying along with all that violence could continually occur in a highschool in a fully developed country, especially one with such high academic standards, without the teachers, and other adults on campus (let alone the parents) not knowing is mind boggling. does this really happen to this degree in Korea? where were the police?
I have to say the acting was excellent. EVERYONE did a great job especially Park Ji Hoon, Ryeo Un, and Bae Na Ra, our main villain.
The music added to the overall tone and did not distract. I personally won’t be rewatching this one because of the excessive violence. having said that, the fight scenes were so realistic (props to the choreographer) I felt some of those boys should have ended up with brain damage or worse. I won’t wait with baited breath but if/when Class 3 comes out, I will watch it…., once.😉

Logic Missing

First of all, I want to say that the story was beautiful. I really enjoyed the mix of fun, emotions, fantasy, and the chemistry between the characters. It was a very entertaining drama overall.

However, I have one suggestion regarding the final episode.

After Eun Ho’s bad deeds were completely reversed, I felt that the consequences connected to Lee Yoon’s wish should also have been reversed logically. If his fate was reversed, then he probably would not have gotten drunk that night and caused the accident.

If that accident never happened, then Kang Si Yeol and his friend would not have been involved either. His friend could have continued toward the national team instead of ending up running a pizza shop. Maybe the ending could have shown Kang Si Yeol on a different team, or both of them playing together again.

Also, the most important point is about Eun Ho’s wealth. Since the money and success came from the bad deeds and wrong actions, after the reversal she logically should not still have all the money, the huge house, the yacht, or the port project. It felt a little unrealistic that she still kept everything even after the entire situation was supposedly reversed.

Because of this, the ending felt slightly overdone and less logical compared to the rest of the story, which was otherwise written very well.

Still, I truly enjoyed the drama and appreciate all the effort put into creating such an emotional and fantasy-filled story. I only hope future stories maintain the same emotional quality while keeping the ending more logically connected to the rules established in the plot.

The father had the most useless reason for abandoning his child.
I love the cast and the teachers did their best at times.
Elsa is not an icon or a diva but a socially accepted mean girl.
It was very weird to have two Snow whites, especially after she said her friend wasn't pretty.
That could have been a teaching moment for her to realize the world doesn't revolve around her

I'm happy they did not romanticize the relationship between sun and pobmek.

Teacher Pranee is iconic.

I hated how everyone invalidated Pobmek's feelings about his mother because she was kind to them

Park Ji Hoon is ahead of his time

I’m not into heavy violence but made an exception this time. i don’t very often watch highschool dramas but also made an exception this time. this is a really good story - the characters are fleshed out and the actors really brought life to them. PJH is ahead of his time. I think he is 22 or 23 in Season 1 - and his acting chops are like that of someone in their mid to upper 30’s. I love his character so much so that I wished happiness for him but I’m afraid he’ll have to graduate HS before he finds it because HS is definitely not going to be remembered as the good old days for him.
hats off to the whole cast and crew!!!
the fight scenes are very realistic - too realistic for me, but like I said I made an exception. I doubt that I will rewatch this one for that reason.

A World Where Everyone Matters

Wow, I have to say this K-drama blew me away in every possible way. I went in completely blind, and it turned out to be one of my favorite dramas of all time.

Usually, I watch dramas just to pass time or fill the gaps in my day, but for the first time in a long while, I was fully invested. I didn’t skip a single scene. I wasn’t on my phone. I listened carefully to every line and absorbed each moment as deeply as I could.

What really stood out to me was how I became invested in every single character. No matter how obnoxious some of them were, the director showed that they’re all just a mix of emotions. Once you understand where they’re coming from, you start to see beauty even in their flaws. It perfectly captures the idea that we’re all just trying.

Even though Dong-man is the main character, everyone felt like a fully realized person not just someone there to support the story. The way their lives intertwine, along with their individual struggles, made everything feel incredibly real. Because of that, I found myself caring about each character and how they impacted one another.

Beyond just entertaining me, this drama made me reflect on myself, my emotions, my life, and the world around me. It gave me a kind of clarity I didn’t expect.

That’s how powerful it was for me.
