Gaus Electronics Review - ZyKuu
"A team of Keystone Kops at their 9 to 5" - The story is pretty vague and light hearted, but the angle of approach was clear. Focus on the marketing team 3 members and their everyday lives. The main cast was consistent and entertaining. The main lead Lee Sang-sik is a complete goofball that takes his job very seriously but he is very dense. The other main lead Cha Na-rae is the senior to Sang-sik and she is very feisty and assertive when it comes to her job. The two share a relationship that starts cold and ends hot. Sang-sik and Na-rae displayed a more realistic enemies to lovers approach. Geon Kang-mi is so pretty, she's someone who stole the spotlight for me whenever she appeared on screen. Kang-mi is a hardworking employee who comes from a struggling upbringing and ends up unintentionally swooning her colleague. Baek Ma-tan was an interesting character as he is the son of a heir that had trouble adjusting to a normal life. Ma-tan and Kang-mi's relationship was very interesting because of their dynamic and end result. The side cast helped carry the comedy and kept the show feeling fresh. One standout from the sidecast was Aziz . Aziz was my first experience of a non-korean actor playing a consistent role throughout the show and I was pleased with his performance. The OST was nothing special and it was pretty short, but it was good. This drama was genuinely one of the funniest i've watched thus far and I highly recommend it to any viewer that wants a light watch that can help raise any mood! Was this review helpful to you?
Pedestrian Storyline hampers otherwise excellent drama
For me, Zhan Zhao was a tremendous watch on many levels. The best part was the more traditional wuxia fighting sequences. I am so tired of the CGI firework show passing itself off as martial arts. This drama was a welcome return to true wuxia roots. The acting of all the characters, the sets, the costumes, were all top notch. The only thing which I felt held back the drama was the plot. I was hoping for a Jin Yong type of story, but what we got instead was just another run of the mill "investigating corrupt officials" storyline. I realize that they are likely trying to get on the good side of the government censors, but seriously, isn't there any show that doesn't have the same plot? For those hoping for romance in the story, there really was next to none. And those people who cannot stand watching episodes where the villains are seemingly on top, then you may be frustrated. Zhan Zhao himself is too powerful to have a storyline if he is at the peak of his powers, and so he is nerfed for all of the show by injuries, poisoning or both. And both the villains and heroes were guilty of letting the other side off the hook when they were down instead of finishing the job. Purely unable to explain their actions. The ending was somewhat satisfying without really explaining how it got to that point, which is another point of frustration. Overall, this series was excellent in every way except for its plot, which treads a well-worn path and doesn't always give the viewers what they had wanted to see.Was this review helpful to you?

Here's the breakdown..
It was a good show as connection were feel really genuine.First couple- ZENG & CHLOE ...oh they were pretty fated for the show (start to the end)
Second couple- KEANUE & LAURA.. hell yeah my boy, everyone thought that keanue was a playboy type person but dude sorry he and zeng was only a women man person. And laura had some doubt in starting but at last winner takes the trophy. She made her mind really well and dude that kiss at last ooofffoo the intensity was hell.
Third couple- YUNB & CHU... i think i had watch a real life kdrama, their story was a rollercoaster ride and as every kdrama introduced second ml here we also have that one and boy the way he got rejected as one night before in truth game was really hard (but it's satisfying as coming in-between a couple) . But i'll say that chu is a flirty type person which sometimes really get on nerves as she know what a career choices are ahead as palying this aloof type of person character. I know i'm biased because its related to YUNB, what could i say about this person, only one who hold this show interesting like man the emotions he shows were reallllyyyy a common person would feel in relationships. and chu please find a good reason to make story interesting like what was that on saying 'HEY'(ya) by YUNB make a whole drama about that.
and at last VINCE my boy keep it up but stick to one person from stating to end...like this dude really changes his interest as changing clothes...
THIS SHOW REALLY NEEDS TO CONTINUE..

Requirement: Must find hilarity in absurdity
The story is that the FL gets "horribly disfigured" and barely survives when her husband mascares her family on their wedding night - this is a fairly common cdrama revenge trope.Anyway, they fish her body out of a river and all I can think is I've had worse rug burn than the little scratches on her face.
Now she's supposed to be grateful her rescuer switched her face with the dead girl they were actually looking for.
This is hilariously bad and it hasn't even been 5 minutes 😂
She's tied to a chair by her captors, but she miraculously has a very fancy dagger in her hand - which she did not have in her hand 2 seconds before when she was struggling to free her hands, and attack her attacker 😂
So maybe it's a magic dagger that can be summoned at will?
We soon learn from a flas back that the dagger is given to her on her wedding night, but she drops it and we see it embed in the floor. She's then bound and dumped in the river from which she is later pulled on the cusp of death.
So, she undergoes plastic surgery, has time for some costume changes, and gets tied up again (to be presented to the afore mentioned attacker) before untying her hands and then Bam!
She summons her magic dagger!
And we managed to fit a villian speech into the flashback too!!
I didn't even try to mention all the "hilarity" that happened in episode 1.
I wish you luck.

Ignore the reviews, absolutely worth the watch!
If you're not familiar with short dramas, you will find abrupt cut scenes and things moving very quickly. It might take a little to get used to, as there is no added fluff and slow lead-up scenes. The acting is superb from the main leads as you really felt like they hated each other with justifiable reasons. While there are many shows with strong female leads. This is really the most impressive "strong FL" I have ever seen in any show. She is always true to herself and really not afraid to say what is on her mind. You will be pleasantly surprised by this show.

Don't expect anything intense or dark
I saw a few clips of this show before I watched it, and it turns out they were all from the side couples' scenes. After finishing the series, I get why; they definitely had better chemistry than our main couple. Kisses were stiff either way. I liked the back hugs and cuddles, though.I liked that I actually learned something from this series; I had never heard of Hyperventilation Syndrome or Aplastic Anemia before, and it was nice to learn more about them. I'll remember them, whereas I probably won't remember most of the other details of the show. Not that it wasn't a good show, but it was . . . safe. I feel like this show was sold as something much darker with a toxic, obsessive, and possessive romance, and it did the bare minimum with all of those things. I had really been looking forward to those darker tones.
OST was good; it made me feel like I was watching an anime at times.
The acting was good. I have no idea who played Xiaosi, but he did a great job. I loved his character and the relationships he had with Li and Zhai Qiu Yu. Li is his most important person, and he wasn't going to give Zhai Qiu Yu an inch.

The Plot Wasn't Reinventing the Wheel, But the Wheel Was Rolling
Lol, well, this was a good time. The plot is about as formulaic as instant noodles, but listen, if the noodles are tasty, I'm eating. The characters are likable, the humor - although ridiculous, it works, and the familiar tropes are executed well enough that I happily binged along. It gave me major Guardians of the Dafeng vibes, except with a much better Bixia, so getting invested was not exactly a struggle.
Now, if you're here for romance... respectfully, wrong train. The romance is very much a side quest. But if you're looking for comedy, adventure, friendship, occasional second-hand embarrassment, and a charismatic disaster of an ML, welcome aboard. The man is arrogant, impulsive, and operates on approximately three seconds of forethought, but he's entertaining enough that I mostly forgave him for it.
Special shoutout to the ML and the eunuch, who spent half the drama bickering their way into becoming my favorite duo. Also, a fun emperor in a c-drama? We love to see it.
That said, around Episodes 19–22 the momentum starts dipping. The plot begins to repeat itself a bit, especially with the family conflicts, and a few narrative/comments from the ML also didn’t really land for me and briefly broke the fun vibe I had until then. Nothing dramatic, just enough to deflate the charm a little. The drama probably could've shaved off a few episodes without losing much.
I've still got 11 episodes left, but the momentum is definitely not what it was in the beginning. Still having fun, just with a little more scrolling speed and a few more "haven't we done this already?" moments. Will update after I finish.
Update:
I made it to Episode 30 before the wheel finally rolled away without me. Somewhere along the way the drama got a bit too bland, and I realized I was watching out of habit rather than interest. It definitely didn't need this many episodes.
Still, for a mini-drama, it's not a bad watch at all. If you're looking for something light, easy, and low-commitment, this is perfectly capable of carrying a few cozy evenings.

The Plot Needed Saving, Not the Protagonist
It’s 2025, and we’re still getting scripts written like this? The level of brain-dead writing is honestly impressive. The writers seem determined to lower every supporting character’s IQ to room temperature just so the main character can look smart. The extras aren’t even characters at this point—they’re basically NPCs whose sole purpose is to push the plot forward, logic be damned.
I only made it halfway through before getting so annoyed that I had to come here and leave a review.
P.S. The female lead’s nose job looks so obviously fake that it kept distracting me from the actual movie.

I love it!!!
I would definitely recommend anyone to start watching this as this is such a beautiful story with an amazing healing arc. I have watched all the released 7 episodes and it's one of the best tv shows I so far loved in 2026 after pursuit of jade. I love the casting and specially Cheng lei, his acting is on another level and he perfectly portrays prince ding character! So is Bailu, she does an amazing job and she has embraced her character flawlessly! Was this review helpful to you?
A Breathtaking Masterpiece of Royal Intrigue and Heart-Wrenching Romance
If you are looking for a Chinese drama that perfectly balances intense political intrigue, profound character growth, and a deeply emotional romance, look no further than Ash of Crown. This series is an absolute triumph and easily earns a perfect 10/10 from me in 2026 july. It is a must-watch for any C-drama fan.The Plot :O
From the very first episode, Ash of Crown hooks you with its intricate and gripping narrative. The writers did a phenomenal job of weaving together complex palace schemes with a deeply emotional core. There are virtually no filler episodes; every single scene serves a purpose, building up to explosive, well earned climaxes. The pacing is immaculate, keeping you on the edge of your seat while still allowing enough breathing room for the characters to truly develop.
xD Outstanding Performances
The cast delivers career-defining performances across the board. The lead actors share an electric, palpable chemistry that makes their relationship feel incredibly authentic, tragic, and ultimately beautiful. You genuinely feel their joys, struggles, and heartbreaks. Furthermore, the supporting cast is equally phenomenal, with well-written arcs that make every character, even the antagonists, multi dimensional, compelling, and morally complex.
:D Top Tier Production Value
Visually, this drama is an absolute feast for the eyes. The cinematography is poetic and cinematic, masterfully capturing both the grand, oppressive scale of the imperial court and the intimate, quiet moments between the leads. The costume and set designs are meticulously detailed, reflecting the historical richness and aesthetic beauty of the era. Coupled with a hauntingly beautiful OST that perfectly elevates every emotional beat, the production quality is nothing short of world class.
For me:
Ash of Crown is more than just a drama; it is an unforgettable, immersive experience. It made me laugh, cry, and gasp in shock. It respects its audience’s intelligence with its smart, layered writing and rewards emotional investment with a deeply satisfying payoff. The ending left a lasting impact on me, lingering in my mind long after the credits rolled.
If you haven't watched it yet, you are missing out on one of the best Chinese dramas to date. Do yourself a favor and add this masterpiece to your watchlist immediately. Highly, highly recommended!

When Fake Streaming Turns Into Real Horror
A group of content creators heads to the infamous Gonjiam Psychiatric Hospital to livestream from one of Korea’s most notorious haunted locations. Their goal is simple: stage paranormal content, attract viewers, and go viral. At first, everything feels performative, with the group joking around and trying to manufacture scares for their audience. However, once they venture deeper into the abandoned asylum, the atmosphere gradually shifts. What starts as staged entertainment slowly turns into genuine terror. The film does a strong job of building tension, making both the characters and the audience feel increasingly trapped within the building.
One of the movie’s biggest strengths is its use of the found-footage style. It enhances the realism and creates a claustrophobic experience where every sound and movement feels amplified. Instead of relying heavily on constant jump scares, the horror comes from pacing, atmosphere, and the lingering feeling that something is always nearby but unseen.
The cast also delivers convincing performances, especially considering the format. They genuinely feel like livestreamers rather than traditional horror movie characters, which helps sell the illusion that what you're watching could actually be happening. As fear sets in, their reactions become more raw and believable.
The only slight drawback is the slower setup in the first half, where the focus is more on banter and livestream setup rather than horror. However, once the asylum fully reveals its nature, the payoff is strong and satisfying.
Overall, *Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum* is one of the most effective modern found-footage horror films, balancing realism with steadily building dread.

Crazy Cool Chemistry
These guys surprisingly work so well together. I would have never thought of them being a team on a variety show. I watched all ten episodes in 2 days without skipping. Of course I came across this show after watching Teach You a Lesson, and it was well worth it. It was a crazy adventure with a lot of laughter. Was this review helpful to you?
Definitely defines what a "true education" means in south korea.
It's how writers tells a deep story such as this limited series, but not just normalizing the dark reality of education systems happening around IRL, but what matters is on how it really resonates to many even outside SK.The back to back hit in Netflix really deserved the hype up until now its still on the top 10!! And so, another favorite this 2026 with one of my go-to genres ever since psychological action and crime dramas came in!!! I love the aspect and characters of this drama portraying the dark reality of educational system in Korea. Even I myself can resonate a lot with each and every episode, as few of them touches my heart as it really came into such realistic incidents and scenes. I really appreciate the directors and writers of this limited series in which it portrays truth, trust and reliability in every incidents and accidents. actually it's true based on some comments that there few flaws that were kept left behind, but it was a bit short but discreet. Very straight to the point, the stories behind every cases really resonates me a lot. Justice is served, but without discipline and when power comes in, it became a bigger problem. One thing for sure is in every crime served with sentences and evidences, it definitely “teach you a lesson” ☺️
Regarding the cast and characters, I have just noticed that one of the main leads, which is Kim Mu Yeol is not my first drama with him. It was high cookie (2023) and Juvenile Justice (2022), as well as Lee Sung Min in other law and crime kdramas such as Reborn Rich (2022), Once Upon a Small Town (2021), Juvenile Justice (2022) (but yea i think its kind of a reunion of them two haha), and many more. Also to Jin Ki Joo who really outshines her role in an action film rather than romance. I think it definitely suits her ever since watching her last 2020 in her 2019 drama, A Secret Life of My Secretary, and as she started to be so invested in high school actions series and stories like in this drama and in her first action role in 2025 Undercover High School. She made a remarkable performance in this drama, recognizing her so many potentials to enter in another series like this but as a detective or police officer. And of course, I've been waiting for P.O's comeback and other leading roles but he still gave so much impressions after seeing him during the pandemic with his remarkable role in Hotel Del Luna (2019) and Good Partner (2025). And now, seeing them all shine was really perfect, even a great casting and characters that even I myself wondered the trainings and efforts they had for this drama was totally paid off.
Overall, I totally loved the hype of this drama because of how it hits hard to many viewers even outside SK. I just can't believe that it really exceed my expectations after seeing tons of thriller, action, comedy dramas like this. It's not just limited to high school, but also the politics are definitely involved because of its injustice of education system by using their powers to control. Really a great watch, really recommended for beginners. Even can be binge watchable in just a day.
Really appreciated the casts, the production, director and writers fir making this drama so remarkable and unforgettable as it takes time for me to move on because totally this limited series made me happy and satisfied from beginning til the end.

Skip it if you can...
What an incredibly frustrating show to watch - didn't even finish it. I'm sure this is a reflection of modern day social heirarchy so it's accurate I give it that. When I first started watching this show it reminded me of the north american movie "platform" but as the show progressed, didn't end up that way. It was all by luck the top floors got all the privileges while the lower floors suffered very true in the real world. All this show had was the top 4 floors beating, literally beating the sh*t out of the lower floors. Even when the lower floors got the upper hand, there's always one person that screws it all up and in this one it's god damn ajumma of the 5th floor. With all her nice nice attitude and stupid hallucinations. The only character that was amusing to watch was floor 3 dude.I got up to the 7th episode (there was a total of 8 for this show) and didn't even bother finishing it coz the top floors once again started beating the crap out of the lower floors. Just annoying all around.
