The series was really good, but given its plot, it deserved more episodes or a second season to explore every detail in greater depth. The actors did an admirable job and made the story and characters more intriguing. Bambi’s character is at the center of the series but wasn’t given enough prominence in the script, even though Film did an amazing job making him the best character in the series. Overall, I liked the series, but it could definitely have been done better.

As someone who doesn't like sports romance, this drama made my entire week!

I absolutely hated sports romance. Mainly, because I'm not interested in sport and I never watched a drama before where they'd done it the right way to keep me interested.

I found this drama through social media. I was like, why not? Let's give it a try. Maybe I'll hate it or love it.

Thankfully, I loved it!

This drama is about loosing and gaining. You either keep going, or you won't move from one place and get stuck.

The chemistry was amazing between the leads, but what got me the most was the humour. I often don't find dramas with similar humour as mine, so I was shocked.

I'd definitely rewatch it as it brought me a lot of comfort. I cried, I laughed and I couldn't stop smiling at a lot of scenes.

The Perfect Movie for an Evening

To be honest, I didn't think I'd end up watching this movie. But after seeing a TikTok video with Yoona, I decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did! The whole movie is filled with that signature Korean humor: simple, sweet, and genuinely funny, without feeling forced or fake.

The chemistry between the characters is great, and there are plenty of hilarious moments. If you're looking for something lighthearted and positive, I highly recommend it. It's a very easy watch. It might not be the kind of movie that stays with you forever, but it's 100% guaranteed to put you in a great mood.

E tu, spettatrice, sei lì tipo: “Ma io li conosco questi pensieri. Li ho avuti tutti. Anche ieri. Anche stamattina. Anche adesso.”
La genialità della serie sta tutta lì: trasforma ogni micro-emozione in una scena epica.
Un messaggio non risposto diventa una tragedia greca. Un appuntamento riuscito sembra la vittoria ai Giochi Olimpici. Un dubbio? Apocalisse.
E vogliamo parlare del lato romantico?
Perché sì, c’è. Eccome se c’è.
Ma non aspettarti la favola lineare. No, qui è più tipo: “Ti piaccio → forse → perché non hai risposto → ho detto qualcosa di strano → addio dignità → no aspetta forse sì → ok mi ignora → no aspetta ha risposto → matrimonio?”
Cinque minuti dopo: “Non funziona.”
Realismo puro.

Glitch and dicks

What a bizard movie with weirdly creative visuals and a complex love story and class analysis between a gay man who has it all, he is likeable, handsome, rich and has a high status job in finance during a big recession and a heterosexual man struggling with drug addiction to cope with surviving being dirt poor, feeling uncapable to provide for his sick mother working many jobs and later feeling insecure next to this "perfect" man loving him.

This "perfect" man is believed to be rich because of his hard work, while the broken poor man works his ass off but still he has nothing.

This movie feels like an amphetamine trip, we see it through the lense of the broken poor man that is on drug to survive.

Power of Teacher

I watched the first "Idiot Girls and School Ghost" and this sequel over two days. The sequel stays faithful to the original, introducing new characters and new ghosts, while keeping the same satirical comedic horror atmosphere and style. Once again, we follow a group of “not-so-smart” students who try to cheat on their exams by challenging the school ghosts. This time, instead of playing hide-and-seek, they face mini-challenges presented like a video game.

The sequel doesn’t even try to be scary. The ghost elements are mostly symbolic — they represent a theoretical danger to the students and serve as an allegory for the terrifying teachers who pressure and threaten “poor” students preparing for exams. However, not all teachers are scary; some take their duty to care for and protect students very seriously, and the main character is one of them.

I was a bit disappointed with the ghosts. They were funny, sure, but their performance was pretty weak. I’d even switch the words in the title and call this movie School Girls and Idiot Ghosts. Also, why do the students curse so much? Anyway, this is a fun, light watch when you don’t have anything important to do.

This one is for the girls

Honestly, My Royal Nemesis has that K-drama X-factor. You know the one. The vibe is immaculate, the chemistry is chemistry-ing, and before you know it, you're giggling, kicking your feet, and wondering why we don't get dramas like this more often.

And let's talk about the male lead.

That man was so obviously written by a woman. Romantic, devoted, swoon-worthy, yearning at Olympic levels, oof, we haven't had a male lead like this in a long time. He is absolutely for the girls.

Now, do I have issues with Shin So-ri's characterization? Yes. Many. But Lim Ji-yeon did such a fantastic job that I found myself overlooking problems I normally wouldn't. That's the power of a good performance.

The frustrating thing about this drama is that everything surrounding the story is a 10/10. The cast, the ensemble, the chemistry, the atmosphere, the visuals, the villains , all work Then the plot has holes in it.

And goodness are there plot holes. Some genuinely baffling inconsistencies. There were moments where I found myself getting annoyed because I wanted this drama to be as good as its cast deserved.

But goodness, is it charming.

I loved how refreshing the casting felt. Everyone looked like actual people. No distracting filters or uncanny perfection. It felt authentic in a way many dramas don't anymore.

I also loved the little nods to My Lovely Sam Soon. As someone who considers My Lovely Sam Soon the gold standard of rom-coms, those references felt like little gifts.

And despite all my complaints, I had a great time.

Did everything make sense? No.

Were there plot holes? Absolutely.

Did I swoon anyway? Unfortunately, yes.

Objectively, this is probably a 5.5 or 6/10. But my heart? My heart says 7.5/10 because these actors were working overtime to sell every emotion, every yearning glance, every ridiculous plot development.

Sometimes good acting can carry a drama much further than it has any right to go.

And My Royal Nemesis is living proof of that.

I laughed a lot.

Sold Out on You is a very good rom-com. It really serves its purpose by letting the viewers, even for a bit, put away their worries and just laugh along to all the hilarious jokes and blush when the romantic scenes come. But it also shows the deep burdens that people carry for years and how we can help each other heal.

One of the things I’ve really enjoyed with this drama is the OST. When I saw the line-up, before I even started watching the series, I got so excited. And they certainly didn’t disappoint! The instrumental tracks were also really good and fitting and I have to mention all the sound effects that made the drama so much funnier to watch!

As a big fan of Ok Ja Yeon, I was very thrilled to see her in Sold Out on You, I got happy every time I saw her on screen!

The intro was really nice and even comforting, my favorite intro recently and one that I barely skipped (which is unusual for me)!

My favorite character was Yang Sang Geum, she and other villagers were actually so funny. I’m a bit sad that she barely got screentime in the last few episodes but she really made Sold Out on You even more enjoyable for me!

I also liked how many relationships there were to cheer on and how all of them ended happily at the end!

Could have been better: There was some unnecessary miscommunication and questionable things, but I’m feeling good today and choose to not rant about everything.

Really recommend if you're seeking a light and funny watch!

Not Enemies, Not Just Friends

This is not a story that fits perfectly into either enemies to lovers or friends to lovers. In fact, it's much more about two people who have loved each other for years but needed time and maturity to understand their feelings and learn how to express that love in the right way.

The connection between them is palpable from the very beginning, and their chemistry works so well that even the simplest moments are filled with emotion.

Beyond the romance, the story delivers a beautiful emotional journey, showing that loving someone also means learning how to communicate, trust, and allow yourself to be vulnerable.

Too Slow of a Burn for Me - Timing was Off

This is an okay coming-of-age, friends-to-lovers Chinese drama that many viewers, including myself, found pleasant but ultimately forgettable. It moves very slowly, so fans of deliberate slow-burn romances may enjoy it more than I did. While some buildup is welcome in this genre, this one spends nearly half the episodes on the characters' childhood and high school years. Romance timing is everything—reveal it too early and you lose momentum for the later episodes (unless strong subplots carry it), but drag it out too long and the payoff feels absent. This drama struck an odd balance with too much of both in my opinion, likely because there isn't much else happening beyond their relationship.

I would not recommend it to most people simply because of the pacing, and it lacks anything uniquely standout to make the wait worthwhile. I don't regret watching it once, but it doesn't rank among the better-paced romances out there.

Spoilers

I really wanted to like Exclusive Fairytale because I loved the female lead character, Xiao Tu (female lead), so much. She wasn't your typical whiny, baby-talking, helpless female lead. She was mischievous in a fun way—a take-no-prisoners, rough-and-tumble tomboy type who was genuinely charismatic. I liked that about her, and it made complete sense why the young men were drawn to her. Many reviewers agree that Xiao Tu stands out positively for her energetic and unapologetic personality.

I liked the core relationship between Ling Chao (male lead) and Xiao Tu, and their gradual falling for each other felt natural and earned. It was refreshing that they were essentially god-siblings (with families so close), so most accepted them being together readily. Xiao Tu's father (female lead's father) was initially a bit of a holdout, but I think his concerns were valid given the family dynamics. Ling Chao is exceptionally intelligent and somewhat reserved, which could have been an issue, but Xiao Tu brings a strong social intelligence and warmth that balances him well. Their chemistry was fine overall, though the romance pacing undermined it.

The second couple was cute up to their weird breakup, which really made little sense and boiled down to miscommunication. It was disappointing that no one pushed harder to get his full side of the story earlier. When they were finally conditionally together they did this weird confession thing in front of all the friends when she was drunk. It was like all the things she wanted to tell him but did not when she was sober. It was a bit cringy just because they did it around the other friends. And they kissed like they were just then re-uniting when, at that point, he had been back and they were working about getting back together for some time. So that felt weirdly paced as well. Many other reviewers have noted that while the second couple starts strong, their arc becomes less engaging or adds limited value later on.

The girl who was so in love with Ling Chao (male lead) was completely annoying—your typical baby-talking, crybaby character whom I found grating (a common complaint in reviews). She admitted and acknowledged finally that they were never going to be together then continued to oddly compete with main girl for his attention. The mean-girl type from his class was also unpleasant, and I was glad Ling Chao saw through her and that Xiao Tu (female lead) eventually told her off.

Xiao Tu becoming a reporter later made perfect sense with her bold personality. I was glad she finally found her way. Her work place issues could have been a dynamic plot point if they hadn't spent so much time on the main couple's high school years they would have had more time on plot points like that. As it was it was interesting but very rushed.

The pacing of not only the romance but just the entire story was really off throughout. They spent far too much time in the high school years when the romance barely progressed. How many scenes do we need to see Xiao Tu treating Ling Chao like a younger brother before we get the point? Not that many. Then, once they got together, the later part dragged excessively. By the time he proposed, it felt like "really? Haven't they been practically married for a while now?" It wasn't surprising or exciting. Even the night they stayed together felt oddly timed—they had been living together practically and unofficially engaged for so long that it came across as "okay, we're just getting here now?" The extended childhood and post-confession stretches made the middle feel padded, a sentiment echoed by several viewers who found the youth portions overly long. Her career was rushed and squished in as was his. Important aspects of their life didn't get much time in the series at all.

It is also a bit of a romance killer to see the married with children aspect of a couple's life. I guess they had a boy? It seemed like he doted on the child? There was a bit of a weird period where we heard things from the child's voice but didn't see the child. Not sure why that was necessary.

Overall, the friends-to-lovers foundation and Xiao Tu's charm carry it to a solid 7.5/10 for me, but the execution holds it back from being something I'd rewatch or strongly recommend.

6/10 Short Series' aren't for me but...

l've returned to change my review score from a 4/10 to 7/10.
After thinking it though, as a short series, it does a pretty good job with the story line and relationship building between the two leads.
- There's a few comedic and cute romance scenes throughout, as well a small conflict scene that is included near the end which was handled quite smoothly- which is impressive considering how short a time they had to tell it....? (Idk how you'd normally phrase that) - The ending is decently satisfying, and honestly if you're look to watch a short BL office romance thing this might be for you! It wasn't
*amazing* for me since I prefer normal lengthed series, but if you're an avid short series watcher I hope you'll consider watching it!
- Or maybe I don't hope you watch it? I wouldn't know if you do or not. Erm anyway...! (030)

Can Love Rewrite Destiny?

Love Beyond Dreams uses time travel and a murder mystery framework, but at its core it is a story about love, grief, trauma, and people trying to resist fate. It is a tale of a second chance, but also of how easily someone can be hurt even when love is deeply real. What truly elevates the series is its extraordinary attention to detail. The creators treat no scene, object, or line of dialogue as accidental. In Love Beyond Dreams, everything carries meaning, and attentive viewers are rewarded with layers of interpretation that unfold gradually over time.

Symbolism and meaningful details
The most important symbol in the entire story is the necklace with the red thread. In the original timeline, Rann dies holding it tightly in her hand after an attack that occurs shortly after Lene’s funeral. That same red thread becomes the catalyst that sends her five years into the past. When she wakes up again, the thread is still in her hand. It is therefore not only proof that the future she remembers truly happened, but also a symbol of fate and determination to change destiny. Red gerberas also serve as a recurring symbol throughout the series. Early on, Lene tells Rann that red gerberas are meant for someone special and compares the flowers to her. What seems like a simple romantic gesture gradually becomes a quiet expression of Lene’s love. Since she struggles to express her feelings openly, the flowers become one of the many ways she shows her affection and tenderness. Equally important is the handwritten letter. After five years apart, Rann recognizes Lene’s handwriting and immediately returns to Thailand. Instead of finding her lover, she arrives at her funeral. Only later does the viewer understand that the letter was a final expression of love that Lene never stopped feeling. She pushed Rann away not because she stopped loving her, but because “she wanted to give her a life she could not provide herself”. There are many more subtle details like this. Lene remembers Rann’s dreams even when they are separated. This includes having a car, home, the opportunity to study in the United Kingdom and Lene in her life. Over time, it becomes clear that what Rann initially interpreted as rejection was actually an attempt to secure her happiness and safety. The series quietly shows that love is not always expressed through presence, but sometimes through sacrifice.

Story, screenplay, and originality
Although time travel is not a new concept, Love Beyond Dreams uses it in a deeply emotional way. The fantasy element never dominates the narrative; instead, it serves as a mechanism to explore grief, guilt, and the desire to undo irreversible mistakes. The mystery aspect is equally strong. Together with Rann, the audience tries to uncover not only Lene’s killer but also the person responsible for Rann’s death in the original timeline. The screenplay skillfully plants misleading clues, making nearly every character seem suspicious at some point. One of the most interesting aspects is the way the series engaged its audience beyond the episodes themselves. The official production account (MeMindY Official) regularly released “case files” about suspects — including photos, descriptions, and hints connected to the investigation. This blurred the line between fiction and reality, allowing viewers to actively participate in solving the mystery. It was a clever narrative extension that kept the story alive between episodes.

Acting
Aya Orapan Phongmaykin as Rann convincingly portrays a character moving from grief and guilt to an almost desperate determination to save the person she loves. Her performance is built around strong emotional impact, as Rann carries many of the series most intense scenes involving crying, loss, and longing. From the very beginning she experiences deep personal tragedy, starting with the death of her… more on our social media @sawadeeGL
