Talk about eye candy
This has got to be the sexiest C-drama I have probably seen in a loooonnnggg time and that is saying something because I have watched well over 200. I think it was in his contract that he had to be half naked in at least 25% of the show. I am by no means complaining. There were obviously some convoluted parts regarding the blood bond etc, but nothing that threw me out of the story too much.

I'm still waiting for the "chemistry" so many fawned over.
Are the positive, high reviews paid for?The acting was lackluster; there was NO CHEMISTRY (not sure what everyone else is alluding to), Charlie was dorky -not cute or even slightly likable.
Their kisses looked forced, he always had on those big magnifying glasses, nothing romantic or swoon worthy about any of it.
The story was all over the place, the "alpha" aspect seemed to come and go when it wanted.
Jeff, the little brother who could calibrate cars or whatever seemed to have powers that came and went (they all did tbt).
The fighting was ridiculous, the racing looked slow, the cars being used were not even that great of racing cars.
The music was aggravating and seemed too loud in some scenes.

First of all, I loved the overall premise: Searching for what dancing means to him and how it has affected him in past/present/future and exploring himself through dance. It gave the viewer a bit more personal look into him, while also being interested in hearing the stories and information from the other dancers that he worked with. It was interesting to me that despite being a dancer for so many years, he is still as passionate as ever to learn the new sides of dancing.
While many shows today focus on the same specific kind of camera frames and dull lighting, it is so refreshing to see this. The editing was really good; I wish to see more shows edited in this kind of fun, explorative way, with coloured text, flashes, patterns and colours. The editing helped show what his creative vision was and how dancing makes him feel. It was interesting and a good binge watch, I can definitely recommend.

SO Good, Lots of Ups and Downs and Tears
This show was so good, it had me crying, angry, happy, blushing, and frustrated. The chemistry of the two couples was absolutely amazing, and I wish we can see more of each pair in the future. This series felt so real to me. No character was perfect, and everyone had their flaws (except Qin Lang). Every character had to make hard choices that they had to live with and suffere the consequences of them. Lu Feng and Xiao Chen had such a long, sad, and complicated story. it showed how no romantic love is perfect and the sometimes other types of love (familial, brotherly) can cause harm instead of being a caring support. Both of them had horrible parents who only saw themselves and basically shamed their children until their dying breath.
Each character had their wrongs. Yi Chen fought for his brother and against Lu Feng with the right intentions, but he didn’t always see was Xiao Chen wanted or how much Lu Fend changed and was sorry for what happened. Yi Chen loves his older brother so much that he did what he thought was best. Xiao Chen had to make impossible decisions that no one should have to make or be in the position to make. Having to chose between his family’s love and Lu Feng, have to choose to fulfill his mother’s dying demand. No matter how horrible she was, Xiao Chen loved her and wanted to make her happy. In that moment his love for his mother won against Lu Feng, but his love for Lu Feng would eventually prevail. Qin Lang’s love for Yi Chen made him compliant and submissive to Yi Chen’s anger and dislike towards Lu Feng, which only ended up hurting everyone more, but he also did what he thought was best, letting his love lead his way. Lu Feng, no matter how much of a black or red flag he was suffered as much or just as much as Xiao Chen. Lu Feng loved Xiao Chen more than anything in the world, more than his career, his future, his father, his sister, and his family, and more than any obstacle that was in their way. Lu Feng always knew what he wanted, a whole life with the love of his life, but Xiao Chen, who did also want that, sometimes had to choose his love for something else over Lu Feng, making them both suffer. Xiao Chen wasn’t wrong for his choice, but they both lived with the consequences of their choices and eventually chose to forgive each other and get the help they needed to repair their trauma, love each other, and learn how to be in a relationship again, given their harsh and traumatic past.
NO character (of the main 4) was right or wrong in every decision they made, but they all did it because of love. Love made them all crazy for a decade, but love is also the reason they all healed in the end. This was a beautiful story, however traumatic and painful, it showed how love hurts, but prevails.
I wil miss watching them every Saturday :(

Kang Tae Oh carried
he’s the only reason I finished this.the only reason. why won’t this let me post? is there a word minimum? typey typey typey typey typey typey apparently it’s 500 character minimum, that is a bit extreme. Fine. The male lead and the female lead were excruciatingly painful to watch. I have attended middle school plays with kids acting better than these 2 so called professionals. As a result I have avoided watching any dramas with these 2 in it. On the flip side I have devoured all of KTO’s content

Ayah, ini arah cerita nya kemana?
*maaf norak* ADA INDONESIA CUYY! Ep 12 menit 27:57Indonesia mentioned but at what cost?
Cina mau ngeklaim KL kah? xD lucu banget ngaceng ngakak kenceng.
Selain dari ke-random-an footage, kayaknya plotnya juga ibarat gado-gado having an intercourse dengan rujak. Semua Plot dari semua BL ada disini. [SPOILER ALERT]
- Yoki (You Xi) diceritakan punya penyakit insomnia, yah senormalnya artis pasti punya insomnia. Tapi disini dia ngeklaim kalau dengan tidur didekat Yang Meng, bisa mempercepat tidur tanpa minum obat pil. which is kayak series apa gess? iyak benull, mirip plotnya A Breeze of Love, BL Korea 2023.
- You Xi & Yang Meng berpisah 1 tahun setelah konflik yang mana You Xi dituduh segala macem sama si miss fong eh siapa si? ya intinya Yang Meng marah terus bla bla bla habis debat kemudian si You Xi disuruh ngejauhin dia, Yang Meng. eh 1 tahun kemudian reuni ga sengaja di Lanwan pulau lantam terkutuk. 1 tahun, 1 tahun berpisah setelah sebelumnya telah resmi menjalin hubungan. mirip apa? mirip To My Star season 2.
Miscomunication/kurang komunikasi. Yang satu terlalu percaya rumor yang satu ngikut aja suruhan buat berpisah. Berpisah karena miskomunikasi... mirip series apa? We Best Love Fighting Mr. 2nd.
- Setting tempatnya, pulau Lanwan, jujur ngingetin gw sama pulau Xinpu di series Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars, eh tapi kan Love After Addiction dirilis lebih dulu daripada WUSS.
- Oh iya beberapa shoot beachside/coastline nya ngingetin gw sama series His, BL Jepang 2019. "His" versi series loh yaa, bukan versi movie.
- YouXi terkena skandal mistreatment pacar sesama pekerja dunia entertainment. Lalu secara ga langsung dia bersembunyi dari "kota besar" ke pulau Lanwan demi keselamatan dia ya walau sebenarnya tujuan utama nya buat syuting acara reality show sih. Tapi sekilas, aktor kena skandal > sembunyi dari publik sementara, mirip To My Star season 1.
oke-oke, cukup cocokloginya
intinya
Mungkin bisa ditafsirkan, "bitch what r u doin'? imma leave the fuck of you!" dan itu ibarat kejatuhan nya si fengfang. yah... kuanggap si fingting udh dapet karma lah ya? TAPI TETEP AJA KURANG PUASS SAMA NASIB NYA FEKFONG.
3. Mending gausah ada second couple kalau cara kisah cinta mereka terdevelop ngga ditampilkan secara proper. Ya Ren tiba tiba di ewe terus tiba tiba scene nya ganti ke plotnya YouXi&Yang Meng. Terus next episode tiba tiba Xu Che berbohong ke Ya Ren kalau dia deketin Ya Ren cuma buat balas dendam sama biar Ya Ren paham gimana rasanya dimainkan perasaannya, padahal Xu Che cerita ke YouXi kalau dia suka beneran sama Ya Ren. lah mau lu apa si tong gentong? terus next episode Ya Ren mutung, cemburu sama cewe yang dianggap pacar nya si Xu Che. terus malemnya Ya Ren disuruh sama Xu Che buat milih alat yang kayaknya buat bahan BDSM. cok a lot of things happened so quickly yet i felt like i lost a hundred of chapter cokk jiamput!!. terus next episode tau tau Ya Ren&Xu Che jadian, *RESMI* jadian tuh. dipamerin ampe gandengan tangan didepan YouXi. lah kapan Xu Che confess ke Ya Ren nya?? YouXi kan udah properly confessed ke Yang Meng tuh, nah Xu Che kapan confess ke Ya Ren cok??? sumpah ini writing nya kacauu!! mending gausah diadakan second couple.
4. They did Yang Meng's father dirty!!.
Mau ngasih vibes ala-ala drakor? Emang lagu berbahasa mandarin kurang romantis kah? Ga suka nih gw yang berbau inferiority complex kayak gini. It's giving short-form vertical drama denga segala OST random berbagai bahasa itu wkwkwk.
6. Masih kurang clear sbenernya peran si bapak turki diakhir episode itu apa? pembawa pesan? ngasih tau YouXi kalau dia pasti bakal ketemu Yang Meng? terus kenapa random mau mati di gurun pasir? terus tiba tiba dia ngasih tau kalau dia sutradara, tiba-tiba ngajak YouXi ke NEW YORKKK NYC buat... idk.. syuting filem? terus si YouXi ni jadinya jadi ke new york apa ngga? kenapa scene nya tiba tiba pindah ke Lanwan lantam lagi? malah napak tilas si abang.
au ah mumettt. pusing mikirin cerita amburadul dari series ini. gw mau bahas yg gw suka
1. YouXi di akhir-akhir episode tiba-tiba jadi ganteng maksimal jirrr. padahal diawal-awal episode dia agak kureng gitu. ini salah Make up artist nya sihh. sumpah seganteng itu dia. gw sebagai gay dan single gw mengaku terpincut olehnya.
2. XU CHE is sooo DADDDYYYYHHHH auurghhhhh. im wet when i seen him naked with only using a boxer brief. di pantai. terus yang scene mereka mandi bareng setelah syuting acara reality show tu, si adek nya xu che ngeplak di boxer nya jirr. ahh gw ange bangettt. sumpah demi apa xu che tipe gw banget huhu
3. Appreciated the way the kissing scene is real, bukan cuma bibir nempel tanpa gerakan tukar saliva terus tiba tiba angle kamera nya ngejauh dan miring, memberikan point of view seakan akan beneran ciuman padahal kita ngga sebodoh itu buat tau kalau itu kissing scene nya fake. biasanya di series BL korea circa 2022-2023 banyak nih begini. untung nya di series ini ngga gitu. sumpah bagus banget dan chemistry nya mereka dapet bangettt, meskipun plot cerita nya kayak sampahhh. kissing scene nya beneran intimate banget. I really appreciated this. seems like they done the workshop so well.
4. ACTING NYA BAGUS. kecuali para pemeran pendukung semua kacau akting nya tapi You Xi baguss, Yang Meng bagus mengeluarkan emosi nya, Xu Che berhasil mencuri hatiku padahal dia actingnya kayak cowo cool. Ya ren juga bagus.
apalagi yaa? *yawn* ngantukk gess. udahlah segini dulu, udah jam 12 dini hari.
Peace and kiss
Mwahhh

It was cozy yet dreary at the same time
Out of all the installments in the Fourever You series, this was my most anticipated one. Considering how little screen time Suer and Duennao had in the previous installments, it was enough to make me crave a full series centered around them.Their chemistry was already established, so everything depended on the execution and the story’s foundation to create another memorable project. While the sequel delivered on some aspects, it also came with several flaws that were difficult to overlook.
The Pros:
First, the cliche storyline was executed surprisingly well. Most of the scenes were predictable, but I still found myself invested in them. The casting of the twins was excellent, as the actors genuinely looked alike, making the dynamic much more believable.
I also enjoyed watching the main couple’s everyday school life and their individual family struggles. Duen is blessed with a loving mother and a supportive brother, while Suer comes from a much more complicated background. He constantly clashes with his tsundere older brother and has to deal with a father whose toxic masculinity is reinforced by his position as the head of their gang.
I don’t know why, but I always enjoy jealousy scenes. They add an extra layer of spice to the couple’s chemistry, and seeing Suer get jealous was incredibly cute. Although their relationship took a long time to be officially defined, I loved the sense of comfort and familiarity that existed between them from the very first EPs.
The Cons:
The biggest issue for me was the acting, particularly from the supporting cast. It is such a crucial element, and I hate it when a character isn’t portrayed convincingly, which is exactly how I felt about Suer’s older brother. His performance lacked authenticity and emotional depth, and at times it felt like he needed more acting training.
I also noticed a lack of emotional engagement from the main couple’s friends, including the twin brother. Whenever they weren’t speaking, they often appeared stagnant, as if they were simply waiting for their next line. Unfortunately, the main couple isn’t completely exempt from this criticism. There were scenes where it felt like they were merely reciting dialogue rather than genuinely embodying their characters.
The Pacing:
This is very much a slow-burn romance. The first six EPs are dedicated to Suer’s melancholic longing as he admires Nao from afar. Then the final two EPs rush through most of the romantic payoff, from their transition into a confession to becoming an official one.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the story and had no issue with the slow-burn approach itself. However, I couldn’t help but feel that we need more scenes after they officially got together. A couple of moments would have significantly increased the enjoyment factor and made the emotional payoff more rewarding.
Final Thoughts:
Winter serves as an effective metaphor for Suer’s six years of patience before finally confessing to Dao. He endured the emotional coldness of one-sided love and uncertainty for years, waiting for the right moment. In a way, the cold never really bothered him.

My wuv for you grows every single daaaaaaaay!
I was curious about the live action of My Dress-Up Darling. It's decent. It only has ten episodes with a run time of 24 minutes each. In other words, it has fewer episodes than a typical cour of an anime. Yet, surprisingly, it also covers events in the anime's second season. Despite this, it doesn't feel rushed, nor does it feel that something is missing.
The live-action format clearly shows that a gyaru doesn't look anything close to a white woman. Consequently, a real-life gyaru looks and seems a bit less attractive. That seems to be the case with Nagase Riko, who plays as Marin. To be fair, she captures Marin's personality well.
The live-action format is also better when showing cosplay. In anime, they don't really stand out. In here, they look otherworldly.
Personally, what I love seeing in this adaptation is how the actresses who play the sisters, Juju and Shinju, look gorgeous.
Anyway, as already mentioned, this adaptation mostly covers the anime's first season but also includes some events in Season 2. This is great because it shows the themes of both anime seasons. Season 1 shows the drive and discipline to pursue a passion; on the other hand, Season 2 shows that some people will accept you no matter what your interests are.
The bottom line? This is a solid adaptation of My Dress-Up Darling.

Recommended for those looking for something easy-watching, heartwarming, and features a child.
I was particularly interested in the episodes featuring Youyou, the lead couple's son. I think he is so smart and really ties the story together, making it much more enjoyable. It honestly feels like without him, the plot wouldn't have progressed at all because of how the male and female leads suddenly stopped communicating. It’s quite baffling because they used to talk and express themselves so much before. But once they had a child—a situation where things should be clear—they became hesitant and kept holding back. It’s almost funny.Looking at it from the male lead's perspective, it feels like he is hated for no good reason. I don't understand why there is so much resentment to the point of keeping his own child from knowing he is the father. It’s just too cruel. If I were him, I would feel deeply hurt and resentful. But he doesn't hold a grudge at all; he is just heartbroken about being abandoned, yet he forgives her easily because he admits himself that he can never be firm or strict with her.
Nevertheless, we can still feel and see that both of them genuinely care for one another and aren't being selfish—that’s the charming part. Another great thing about this show is the complete absence of any violence in words, thoughts, or actions. It is truly heartwarming.

Much better than part 1...
While "New" often directs the actors as childish and cringe (Earth has to be played as a toddler), "New" was this time in the second row just producing and executive producing. The new director did tune down the childish and cringe behaviours of the direction but there is still some unnecessary childish stuff left including the stupid sound effects. What me irked the most are the inconsistencies between season 1 and season 2. Johann bought a café in season 1 but it was not seen in season 2 at all - why is that? Of course we also did not see the bar which was also bought by Johann. This does not make much sense without any explaination. I have no idea if the novels have the same inconsistencies but for me it breaks the whole story arc. You may say it's nitpicking but for me it's a huge deal. The series does not feel in the same universe anymore.
They also broke with the story telling. In Part 1 all four couples were intertwined which made the story more dynamic. The forth couple in this case were Tonfah & Typhoon, not prominently featured but we knew there was something wrong, but we couldn't put a finger on it, till it was revealed in Part 2. But this interactions between all the couples is missed often in the last two parts. For themselves the parts with Arthit & Daotok and Suea & Dueannao are good, but they don't feel natural in the grand picture of the whole series.
The whole production was not thought through. Either tell the story in parts per couple or tell them together. The mish-mash did not help the series at all. It may be easier to follow but I don't feel a production should make it easy for the viewer. If you can't keep up with a story when it involves more than two people you need to concentrate more and such series always have a "previously" part, because that's what the US series did, because they can't be bothered to remember. For me it's a timewaster, I know what happened a week before and I don't want to know what will happen next week. For this series "Suea & Dueannao" should have been the beginning of Part 1 with their school time and then we could have had Hill & Ter and Johann & North. The Suea & Duennao arc could have been sprinkled in the Tonfah & Typhoon and Arthit & Daotok arc. But of course what do I know about story telling? 🤣
So overall even with all the problems it was a "good" show. It was not stellar, but it was entertaining for the most part. Arthit & Daotok did give us something different alone from the beginning but had flaws executing the story till the end and nobody liked Arthit turning into a red flag for two episodes. Tonfah & Typhoon was cuteness overload with a basic evil dad background. Thai scriptwriters always have a problem to alter the original work to make it better than the original. That is a strength of many JBLs where a medicore manga is turned into something different, for example "Our Youth" where 50% of the original was scrubbed and 50% was newly written for the series. But I suppose we can't have it all. Lazyness trumps the thai screenwriters and fangirls (and fanboys) don't care about the story anyways as we can see with all the 10 reviews here on MDL.

Yearner final boss
This is probably the only fourever series for which I hadn't read the novel so my review is solely based on the series. I absolutely loved the fluff overload and yearning I got with this one🤭🤭. At first I was like why are we even getting this when we saw their story in season 1 but when I watched it I was like "totally worth it". I really loved all the couples. The mafia brothers kinda reminded me of our Arseni brothers with the downbadism. I really wanted to see more of SinghaBen but i get it for 8 episodes and 3 other couples they did what they could. The only sad thing for me was that FieldDan didn't get a happy ending. That man liked Dan wayy before Tiger liked Nao so I kinda feel he deserved a happy ending. Anyways enjoyed it and will miss our doc and princess gang
