Adorable!
This show is absolutely adorable! Now, usually I’m not to into most dramas because of my awfully short attention span but this show had me immediately hooked!The actors overall did an amazing job! None of the scenes were ever really awkward & the communication was honestly very surprising! Shows like to drag out issues for most of the episodes but problems in this drama were fixed almost instantly! The tension was great, no scenes were boring, and it wasn’t never uncomfortable to watch. I think that even though the plot may seem sort of cliché, it was executed perfectly. Duang’s character was like a breath of fresh air! His determination and lively personality made the show very enjoyable & entertaining to watch. Besides that, the side characters were so hilarious! The friendship between Duang, Pae, and Jamie was the most accurate friendship I think I’ve ever seen in a show! They would make jokes and laugh at each other but you could tell that they never really meant it and they always helped each other out. Qinn’s character wasn’t bad either! He had the typical, “I act like I don’t care, but I do” personality and he played it well! As the show went on it was very refreshing to see him open up over time.
The storyline is pretty straightforward & it doesn’t really beat around the bush. Which makes it even better! Every episode had me kicking my feet and waiting for more! The show is pretty comforting because it displays their emotions accurately and feels like an actual personal experience. It’s a nice drama to just relax to and not have to worry about horrible, stiff acting or boring plot.
I would definitely recommend watching this! It’s a cute, laid-back show & is honestly perfect in every aspect!

Promising Omegaverse, Questionable Hair Choices
Going into KNOT, I was curious to see how the series would handle the Omega verse concept. Fortunately, Episode 1 strikes a reasonable balance. It introduces the Alpha, Beta, and Omega dynamics without turning the episode into a lengthy exposition dump. Even viewers who aren't familiar with the Omega verse should be able to follow the basic premise.But the main lead (Phatsa - Oat) was himself not aware of this omega verse and nor is he aware of his secondary gender, I mean 'say what!'. But Phatsa is not your usual meek omega and Oat gives one of the stronger performances among the cast so far.
The introduction scenes of both the leads were fire. Nakhun - Boat is undoubtedly handsome and carries that aura of Alpha even though a expressionless face is yet to coverup for him. The second brother Nakhin - Theme looks like he just walked out a bad hair day vampire setup. The youngest brother Naphitch - Jame is just being typical trouble maker. The obvious tension in the family is reflected in one scene which was a subtle hint to action ahead. The shocker is biting your fated omega on first sight as it is something as natural as love at first sight.
The scent of pheromones like Midnight distillery (Whiskey), Fleur Nocturne (Isabey Paris), No.3 Quiet Heat, Bare petals (Victoria's Secret Bare) seems suiting the characters
The chemistry we saw in 'My Stubborn' is yet to surface. The flashback to the one-night-stand scene already has the kind of impact that will likely dominate fan edits and discussions online.
As a seasoned BL series watcher I could say it would be hasty to judge the entire series by just one episode. The 'ABO Desire' on omega verse Chinese BL even though lit had many plot holes. The concept is in detailed explained in 'Alpha Predator' (manhua) author Shui Qian Cheng.
For now, I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm hoping the storytelling grows stronger as the series settles into its world.

good but got lost at some point
I started How Dare You expecting a light and emotionally comforting romance, and honestly, the beginning delivered exactly that. The chemistry between the leads was natural, the pacing felt fun, and the story had that addictive “two people who truly understand each other” energy that makes you keep clicking next episode.But for me, the drama lost momentum once the ML lied about being an actor. The frustrating part is that the conflict felt avoidable. Instead of lying, he could have simply said he would explain when he was ready. That would have preserved both the mystery and the emotional trust between the leads. Since the show spent so much time building emotional understanding between them, the deception felt more irritating than dramatic.
Another thing that weakened the story was the darker turn involving the deaths and constant danger around the MC. The drama started off feeling playful and comforting, but later it began to feel like getting close to the main character automatically leads to suffering. That shift changed the atmosphere in a way that didn’t fully match the tone established at the beginning.
I also wish the flashbacks had been longer and more emotionally developed. Some later plot points would have hit harder if the emotional groundwork had been explored more deeply earlier on. I mean before the ml lied about being an actor his past could have been developed more and not after, cause i feel like it would have hit differently.
Overall, I still think the drama had a strong premise and genuinely enjoyable early episodes. The leads had chemistry, and there were moments that reminded me why I started watching in the first place. But the unnecessary secrecy and tonal shift made the second half less enjoyable for me. I watched until episode 13 and then skipped to the ending.

This was beyond Great I had to watch more than twice
Really I enjoyed this drama, the acting of Park bo young, Jo Jung Suk, Lim Jun Hwan and even Shin Hye Sun. You will see how all the cast started their acti bff career this well, and it’s just reminds you of how hard you should work and how hard you can work then you will make it. seeing all of them at their young age acting was really great.Back to the film, I enjoyed the storyline and character development. but I did not like the fact that the ghost got to spend more time in bong sun body even when she knew she could leave and was not trapped especially after the 1st time.
she kept staying in the body and even bong sun herself could not even after time to be with chef. chef and soon ae as a ghost had more time together making the confusion to be more serious as to which he likes.
it was manageable that there was already a small sign that chef cared for bong sun already from the start, seeing the way he spoke to her and the fact that she reminded him of his past, also with the blog thing.
but I was really pissed at the fact that soon ae was always inside her body leaving at night, and not even giving bong sun a chance to express her own feelings outrightly.
that’s on one side
the other part that was not for me is the fact that, it was clear that there was something more fishy about her regret, the fact that she could not remember is enough for her to know that she could have been killed and not even suicide.
I did not enjoy the fact that she was more focused on sleeping with chef every time, it was clearly cute to watch honestly, but NAHH, it even made Bong sun looked weird. the ghost soon as would have tried taking things naturally, instead of just jumping at him saying he wants to sleep with him.
As for Chef realising his feelings, I wasn’t pleased with it. Although it was clearly shown from the start that he was never comfortable with bong sun action when the ghost was in her and he was more comfortable and relaxed with bong sun herself. it wasn’t that deep for him to get confused.
and finally, no matter what, they shouldn’t have let Chef kiss the ghost, it was not necessary for it to have gone that deep, whatever kissing or skinship should have been done with bong sun alone in her right mind.

the casting, acting and even cameo was really great.
I have watched it twice and I could watch it again and again and I will recommend it for everyone to watch
also, I love the ending for the villain, it was good, because clearly those actions were that of the ghost in him and not his actions. I liked the fact that they made him lose his memory, and it will be possible for him to start afresh with eun hee

In this role, he’s playing seven wildly different characters (impressive in itself), but the emotional range and depth he portrays — Cha Do Hyun’s devastating loneliness, Shin Se Gi’s fierce survival instinct fueled by anger and defiance, Yo Sub’s quiet despair — are what really stand out.
I almost dropped this due to the female lead’s screaming and hysterics at the beginning. While Hwang Jung Eum is an expressive actress, her character’s over-the-top reactions can be irritating and seem inappropriate considering her profession as a psychiatrist.
But the leads’ chemistry, especially their emotional connection, is palpable. Both are beautiful criers and give performances that will often tug at your heartstrings.
I’ve been working through some older K-dramas on my watch list that I’d heard good things about, and although this one is more than 10 years old and the visual style and effects look dated, the cast (including a fresh-faced Park Seo Joon) makes it worth watching.
Note: Viewers should be aware that child abuse is a recurring topic, though it happens offscreen. Suicidal ideation and other mental health crises are also shown and discussed throughout the series.

It's good but..
There are little things i want to critique but besides that i loved it. I don't understand how Oats character seems to be the only one (so far at least) unaware about this whole omegaverse happening. Maybe there'll be a reason given at some point but right now i just can't make it make sense. Along with the fact that his secondary gender never affected him until he heard about it.. it was just one of those "wow what a coincidence" moments for me. The editing could also be a bit better. When Boats character and his brother are in the car while the others are fighting, it was a bit too obvious they played the same short fight clip when showing it through the car. I did have a complaint about the terrible translations and fortunately they're fixed now:)! Excited for the next episode.The complaints on ep 2- I wanna applaud boatoat for their acting. I can definitely understand how the "NC" scene was awkward or weird for some people but as someone who has been reading/watching about the omegaverse for a long time, their execution was perfect. Obviously it's gonna aggressive when they're literally supposed to be animals in heat/rut.

Clumsy - Best Avoid
This is the second in a series of three. These first two movies use some of the same actors and this second one is a real sequel.MWIAG 1 was worth the time and enjoyable. But while this second one was watchable, it was boring. The story meanders hitting plot points without ever getting traction.
The third one is best of the lot and is a reboot of the concept using different actors, story, and context.

Uma Pérola de Singapura!
Que surpresa boa Singapura me deu ao entregar o melhor do drama chinês de qualidade. Esse foi um BL que me levou, literalmente, do céu ao inferno! Confesso que o início não me comprou de imediato. Achei o ritmo um pouco apressado e a dinâmica do casal principal parecia carecer de coesão, além de um excesso de lirismo que às vezes desviava o foco. A aproximação entre Su Yi e Pei Jia careceu de uma maturação orgânica; os acontecimentos se atropelaram, o que acabou esvaziando o peso afetivo que o casal precisava sustentar naquele momento. Além disso, a direção pesou a mão em um sentimentalismo abstrato e em diálogos excessivamente metafóricos, gerando um tom artificial que roubava o foco do desenvolvimento do casal. Mas o roteiro provou que tudo ali tinha um propósito.Quando a história virou e a carga dramática real apareceu, a série entregou atuações arrebatadoras e um enredo desconfortável, doloroso e, ao mesmo tempo, incrivelmente sensível. Aviso que há gatilhos e cenas fortes, mas o enredo soube trazer essa exposição do lado grotesco da fama, mostrando como os bastidores da indústria cinematográfica podem ser cruéis e desumanos. A narrativa expõe as engrenagens predatórias do show business por meio da figura do produtor Fang, que utiliza sua posição de autoridade para exercer uma manipulação psicológica severa e chantagens corporativas sufocantes.
Essa interferência externa destrutiva arrasta o enredo para um cenário de pura angústia e degradação moral, transformando o que parecia um romance frágil e lírico em um thriller psicológico de alto nível.
Foi fascinante ver como a trama usou essas pressões da mídia para testar os limites do sacrifício pessoal e o poder do amor entre os protagonistas. Su Yi entrega uma performance assustadoramente realista, desde o fanboy que tem a fantasia de seu ídolo quebrada ao se deparar com a realidade até o sofrimento e enfrentamento de sua enfermidade. E como todo azar e tragédia para qualquer drama chinês é pouco, acrescente o tormento mental e opressão por ser uma vítima de abuso. Ele conseguiu desempenhar tudo isso com um equilíbrio perfeito entre orgulho, culpa e vulnerabilidade.
Em contrapartida, a atuação de Pei Jia é um monumento à evolução pessoal e a resiliência; ele deixa de ser uma vítima revoltada, frustrada e soberba de sua fama, ao encontrar o amor transformador e puro. Mas o ápice da atuação dele, é quando ele transmite a dor da rejeição silenciosa e a força de uma empatia e amparo incondicional apenas através do olhar e gestos, gerando uma química que transborda intensidade. Os diálogos entre eles, também foram de pura poesia e sensibilidade palpáveis, conseguindo me arrancar lágrimas em alguns momentos e me deixar apaixonado em outros.
Já o casal secundário Su Bai e Yi Wei, apesar de pouco explorados, nos entregaram as facetas de um relacionamento em crise, onde as escolhas afetavam diretamente a forma como cada um enxergava o outro, o respeito e admiração construída até chegar à separação iminente. Mas eles provaram também que quando há amor verdadeiro, há redenção e perdão. Não espere grandes beijos, pois se tratando de um BL ao estilo chinês, os beijos foram extremamente técnicos. Mas admito que alguns deles trouxeram todo o amor, carinho e urgência sentimental de um beijo bem dado. Destaco também a beleza dos maravilhosos Pei Jia e Yi Wei, que foram um colírio para todo esse drama pesado.
E esse apelo estético não se limitou ao elenco; toda a atmosfera ao redor deles recebeu o mesmo cuidado. Toda essa complexidade emocional, tanto dos casais quanto dos conflitos e desafios enfrentados por eles, foi traduzida na tela por uma identidade visual impecável. A direção de fotografia foi brilhante ao usar a iluminação para demarcar a transição tonal da história. Se nos primeiros episódios tínhamos uma atmosfera vibrante, ensolarada e idílica, a segunda metade adota uma paleta de cores extremamente fria, com sombras marcadas e enquadramentos claustrofóbicos que isolam os personagens, ilustrando visualmente o sufocamento e o desgaste gerados pela crise que eles enfrentam.
No saldo geral, “The Sparkle In Your Eye” prova que uma obra não deve ser julgada estritamente pelos seus tropeços de introdução. Embora tenha iniciado com um andamento vacilante e excessos, a produção se agiganta ao abraçar a melancolia, temas delicados e a crueza dos grandes melodramas, conseguindo arrancar de mim apenas uma nota 7. Pois, apesar de toda essa jornada emocional e incômoda, o desfecho me deixou insatisfeito com a falta de um fechamento digno e necessário para os personagens da história, deixando apenas para a minha imaginação o que aconteceu após a grande reviravolta final. Não foi um BL inesquecível, mas Singapura provou que consegue simular as melhores qualidades do gênero dramático vizinho, envelopando dores reais em uma roupagem esteticamente impecável. É um trajeto incômodo e denso na mesma proporção em que é poético e belo. Uma grata surpresa que elevou o nível técnico e minha opinião sobre futuras obras desse país.

Just Finished Love Has Fireworks ✨
At first, I thought Love Has Fireworks would be just another typical romantic C-drama. But as I kept watching, I realized it focused much more on the workplace and the characters' professional lives than on romance, which was actually a nice surprise.
My favorite part was definitely the characters. The chemistry between the main couple was fun, natural, and full of hilarious moments. I also really liked the OST—it fit the drama so well.
My favorite character was Yao Jingjing. She's strong, loyal, and always ready to help the people she cares about without hesitation. Honestly, I even found myself more interested in her storyline (and her pairing) than the main couple's. I really wish they had gotten more screen time.
This drama made me laugh so many times, but it also made me angry whenever the female lead's ex appeared... he was seriously so annoying.
The only downside for me was the ending. Some parts felt a bit rushed, and I think a few details were overlooked. I also wish the main couple's relationship had received a little more attention toward the end.
Overall, I'd recommend this drama to anyone looking for a light, funny, and relaxing romantic comedy. It may not become one of my all-time favorites, but I definitely enjoyed the journey. ✨

Refreshingly engaging.
There will be comparisons made between Zhong Mo Yuan and "The Heir". This is a captivating drama by itself, and a must watch if one enjoyed "The Heir".Different times, different challenges, different perspectives and yet there is an immediate sense of familiarity to the intangible aspect of a thousand year lineage of craftsmanship and culture. In "The Heir", there was pride in their "bǎi nián" (hundred years) heritage. Today it is in 35 generations spanning a thousand years. Its not merely pride but a definite sense of fragility in maintaining craftsmanship with the challenge of modern economics of scale amidst the availability of machinery.
In The Heir, it was all about ink and the challenges of a young woman in ancient China's feudal society dominated by the Imperial court. The script had somewhat liberal leanings in very conservative times where a wrong decision can mean the end of a clan. In this Paper Dreams, its all about paper in the modern socialist, communist republic of China. Just as in the intimately entwined relationship between ink and paper in Chinese culture for art and calligraphy, there is much similarities between Paper Dreams and The Heir.
Xuan paper culture has lasted a thousand years. Will it still be relevant for another thousand years? This is the gauntlet thrown at Lin Yiran as she navigates the politics of both party and civil administration as a newby in town. The xuan paper industry faces the prospect of economic extinction versus the challenge of adapting to another millennia in digital times. Within the industry, there is the challenge of maintaining seemingly unsustainable traditional craftsmanship or bowing down to the the demands of economic survival.
The script is very well written exposing the opposing forces dancing around each other, at times in sync and other times brutally at each other's throat. The interaction of characters are masterfully acted out in their daily life as they coexist in their beloved Peach Blossom Town, TaoHua, finding new angles to preserving culture and maintaining economic existence.
Though the scenery is modern, there's much that is breathtaking and much that lend itself to nostalgia. The ancient arched bridge over the flowing river and the various modern expressways and scenes with rivers adds the link of today to a thousand years ago. The smokiness of the mountain clouds and greens adds an ethereal air and one can easily be transported through the ages. There are modern buildings and yet there are much that remains traditional, blending the times spanning a millenia.
Ma Shou Hua as Xuan Yong Nian nailed the character. Principled, unyielding and ferociously defending the thousand years old legacy at the expense of family, he is kind, stubborn and patriarchal to all who work for him. He is the revered Master to many, but struggles to be the Father of his own son. He struggles to keep the the xuan legacy relevant and yet is cognizant of its fragility, wondering whether it will perish with himself. He is the living legacy yet he may also be the last link. In more ways than one he outshine the ML though he is listed as supporting role. MSH's acting skills in this drama is outstanding and he reprised his roles superbly especially as the Master.
The relationship between wife and husband, revered Master and his closest support, the unconditional love of a mother and matriarch to the company is nicely filled by Wang Qian as Xiu Mei. The factory crew, as the extended Xuan family was warmly portrayed despite many differences. Zhang Du was nicely played as a devoted apprentice who grew into the detestable comeuppance usurper. He puts a new meaning to villainy. And then comes redemption. A stand out is the seemingly outspoken Su Lan, showing a softer side as Xiu Mei's "sister".
Taozi is literally the best BFF one can have. She is loyal. She will be there. She is literally the most dependable friend one can have, with the best shoulder to cry on. The evolution of Director Liao as the stick in the mud HOD to Ambassador Liao, as mentor and fatherly figure is great piece of script writing nicely played out by Yin Xiao Tian. Another outstanding potrayal was Xiong Rui Ying as Secretary Peng.
Zhang Yue as Lin Yiran started of as the strong willed young cadre willing to take on the old stooges of the Party and the establishment because she was principled. As the drama progressed, she began to show her human, and more vulnerable side, manifested especially with her growing relationship with Xuan YN and Xiu Mei. ZY has definitely matured from her days as the General's daughter in "Love like the Galaxy".
Zheng Ye Cheng as the ML is overshadowed by Ma SH. Even Song Yu as Xiao Min played a more substantive role. As the ML he got along with the FL though the fireworks were definitely not there. The FL on her bicycle seem more appropriate than the ML on his irritating motorbike.
The drama started of unassuming but gradually draws one in. There is much to like, the xuan paper industry was enlightening, and the machinations of the CPC was definitely eye opening especially in its relationship with private enterprise in China today. The ending could be better but the overall script was superb.

Stayed till the end for Wang Chu Ran
Decided to watch this show solely because of Wang Chu Ran. I fell in love with her acting (and her beautyyy) in Fireworks of My Heart and I thought to give this show a shot.Down to the storyline: Well, it was refreshing to see the banters of the main leads especially at the start when they kept bumping into each other. There was also no old unrequited love plot in this show.
I would say acting wise, the best actors of this show had to be the main leads. Other than that, the other characters didn't really stand out to me. I really didn't like the AI character.. it was way too obvious. I am sure that this was not an easy feat., but there were several if not all scenes where the dude was having zero eye contact with the other cast members. Aside from that, he was also quite emotionless most of the time and his lips were NOT in sync with the dubbings either.
Regarding the relationship development of the main leads, when they did finally get together, I didn't feel a sense of satisfaction - unlike how I feel in some other shows. Somehow their get-together didn't feel as impactful. Maybe because of the indecisiveness of the female lead. I do like her don't get me wrong, but her character here especially the way she handled her relationship with the ML wasn't it for me. I understand that she had previously experienced a failed relationship, but her avoidance was getting on my nerves. And also even after they got together she was not wanting others to find out about her relationship. I was confused at one point if they were actually officially together or not. One moment they're kissing passionately, and the next they act like strangers. I wished the couple was better in communicating their feelings and thoughts and I'm sure that would have reduced the misunderstandings ten-fold.
Business wise, of course, these two main leads have strong personalities and capabilities. What I admired most about these characters was their ability to separate work and personal life. For instance when they were having love trouble, they continued to do what they had to do at work - and performed.
The most touching scene for me in this series was the hug that was shared between the FL and her supervisor/manager. Even though the relationship is of a subordinate-superior dynamic, I appreciated how the FL gradually became unafraid to speak up and be that beacon of light in the superior's life.
"In life and especially in the business world, there isn't always a clear black and white to things, but deep in your heart, you know what's right."
After her final words to the manager, those words continued to linger on in the manager's mind. Although those words still fell upon deaf ears, at the end of the day... she realized her folly. She said something along the lines of 'Although taking the path of righteousness might not be smooth, it's what eventually leads you to happiness.'
Overall, a relatively light-hearted show ~ watch if you have the time and if you like the main leads! There's a decent amount of screen time for them.

Boring
This is slow burning extremely slow burning. If you like to watch couple talking about food cleaning house and all kinds nonsense like this that's for you. I understand hesitating to make contact or to confess but it's more than 32 episodes and nothing come on. In addition business story is not very interesting the same for the secondary couple, also not interesting and the third couple is even worse.But the most the most important part is total lack of chemistry Between the couple looks the FL took this job to make money there's a zero requirement from her acting Talent if you want to watch her with a nice range of acting and total beautiful chemistry of the couple watch fireworks of my heart
