Seeing this show is an edifying pleasure.
Relatively normal people learning and stumbling, winning and losing, understanding their own value and especially dreaming a lot, is the best experience this show leaves us.

Story:
It's unusual but energizing to find a drama that focuses on characters struggling for a dream ... or struggling to find it. The only possible result of such a plot is that the characters grow throughout the story. And this is what happens with our precious Fantastic 4. Although they don't advance in a straight line, but with stumbles, as in life itself.
It's incredible how much you identify with the daily adventures of the characters. Some will reach their goals, others will change course.

Acting / Cast:
Both couples had excellent chemistry. Perhaps in the case of Ae Ra and Dong Man the friendship relationship developed better than romance, but I couldn't say that they didn't work well as a duo, in fact it's the first drama where Park Seo Joon has captured my full attention. That aside, frankly the jewel of this drama is Song Ha Yoon as Sul Hee, did anyone else want to hug her with all their strength? Such an excellent performance!

Music:
Wow, how addicting was the OST, especially the songs for comedy moments. They reminded me and my siblings fighting like The three stooges XD

Overall:
Characters that don't give up, strong but not perfect women, burning dreams, genuine friendship. Do I have to say more? On top of all the flaws you think this story may have, it's a valuable drama to watch. Just give it a chance.
Un drama más al año no hace daño!!

I'll start this off by saying that this is the 1st drama I watched after a MAJOR drama-slump so my very high rating is based more off of my enjoyment watching than any rational reasons like amazing plot or award-worthy acting.

I don't know what it is about C-dramas, but I accept their corniness and over the top acting more so than any others. It's like they're in on the joke with the viewers, so its ok by me. The story overall has a lot going on! There is LITERALLY something for everyone: Romance, friendship, action, fantasy, ALL the different time periods, vampires, werewolves, magicians... just to name a few. But the overall story is about a master and his disciples who time-travel into a person's past-life to fix a problem they are having in the present. It's a nice plot that introduces all sorts of mayhem and time jumping, and every time its a different story. So if you don't like the time period and plot in episodes 4-7, then maybe the plot and historic period in episodes 8-10 will do it for you. The common thread through it all is Ye Yin's meetings with past-lives of the people she knows and one very clingy vampire she keeps running in to. The awkwardness, the cuteness and pure comedy that follows will make you stick around just to see what happens next and how Ye Yin will get out of the problems she started in the 1st place!

Even though this doesn't have a romance tag (as of right now) there is some romance. An eternal love triangle to be exact. There are hints that there is some huge history between the two main men in Ye Yin's life, but we only get flashes here and there (probably saving it for season 2!)

The acting was over the top, and corny... but it fit the tone of the show and had me LOLing the entire series.

Like I said before, I was in a certain mood to really enjoy this series. So I understand that it may not be for everyone. But for getting me out of my drama slump, making me look forward to a 2nd season, and forcing me to watch some episodes RAW (bc I just couldn't wait for subs) this was near perfection IMHO.

I adore school setting dramas, and those that take the characters onward into young adult life.
The melo pacing of this drama is a consistent theme throughout but after the first 6 episodes you get used to it. Sadly the majority of the plot is mix of repeated sad and devastating occurrences for all the characters, no one escapes. And it really can make you frustrated when nothing good happens for your favourite characters. The ending was left open, and after 46 episodes it did not have a satisfying end for the main leads. The cast is strong, and with really good performances. But because there felt like a lack of closure not only for the leads but some side characters also, I could only hope there will be a drama special for it. But if not, I would not recommend this drama for romance fans.

Ah, where do I start to explain the feelings I have for this drama.

Gwaenchana, Sarangiya caught me with all its might, and didn’t let me go til the last episode. From the beginning to the end, it held my heart, entirely, with its both invisible hands. Without a doubt, my favourite drama, ever.

I wanna talk about the first episode because what happened was so incredible. I wasn’t even done with the first 15 minutes of the first episode that I was already enjoying it a lot. And by a lot, I mean finding myself smiling til my cheeks hurt, and squealing like a guinea pig. I don’t even remember what decided me to start this drama. All I know is that I had spent my last school year without watching any dramas except for The Heirs and Reply 1994 back in winter. Having such a long summer holiday, I took it as an occasion to catch up on my beloved Korean shows. Rewatching my favourite kdramas, watching summer kdramas, that’s what my summer was about. So when I heard about It’s Okay, It’s Love on tumblr (pretty popular because EXO-K’s Kyungsoo was in it..) I chose to give it a try.

And oh boy, was it a good decision.

Gwaenchana, Sarangiya. A bottle in the ocean, only waiting for its message to be heard.

Depicting people suffering from mental illnesses was a risky choice. Very risky. But I’m so proud of the scenarists for the job they did. Not only in Korea, but everywhere in the world, mental illnesses are seen as the worst, the weirdest, and most awful of things. When in fact, it’s just an illness. Illness from the mind, from the heart, illness of feelings, thoughts. When the heart aches, it can be more painful than breaking an arm. People dealing with mental issues aren’t crazy. They aren’t errors of nature, they aren’t criminals. They’re people. People that are sick, and people that need help.
And for depicting them just as they are, this drama already deserves to be watched.
I have absolutely no knowledge of psychology or illnesses but the ones I’ve personally dealt with, or seen people fight. I felt close to some of the examples of illnesses portrayed. It made me think about myself, about people, about life.

Gwaenchana, Sarangiya. Humans played by humans that are really good at playing humans.

Good character concepts mixed with amazing actors. That’s what this drama is also about.
From this amazing cast, I already knew Gong Hyo Jin (Ji Hae Soo), Lee Kwang Soo (Park Soo Kwang), Sung Dong Il (Jo Dong Min), but also Hae Soo’s mum and of course, Kyungsoo.
I felt really attached to Gong Hyo Jin in The Master’s Sun, because she’s a really good actress in this drama, she’s also really vulnerable and well, she’s also really pretty. Seeing her in the role of Ji Hae Soo blew my mind. She’s probably among my favourite Korean actresses now.
The revelation of this drama was Jo In Sung. I completely missed the airing of This Winter, The Wind Blows and I think I should catch up now. He is such a great actor. To be honest, I can’t think of anybody in this cast that wasn’t amazing from the beginning to the end. Kwang Soo, that I affectionate for his recurrent gags on Running Man, proved me here that he’s truly a great actor, and not just the funny, always betraying giraffe that he is. Sung Dong Il is always a pleasure to have in a drama, for playing the always-pissed ahjussi that we all love. Every single one of these characters seems crafted in diamond to me. They’re all, all precious. All well done. All deep. There isn’t just the main couple and secondary characters that are all just here to support the story of that main couple. You’ve got the main couple, yes. But they’re all connected together. They all have special relationships between each others, they all have their stories, their problems, their moments. There is no bad guy to prevent the main couple from ending together at the end, because life is not like that. Every single one of us is prone to make other people happy or sad because of the decisions we make. And just as in life, the only obstacle to finding what you truly want isn’t necessarily others, it’s yourself. They are all part of this drama and they also are the reason this drama is a whole. Because just like the puzzle in the story, the final image can’t be a whole if you take even just one piece out.

Gwaenchana, Sarangiya. A story. Theirs, yours, mine.

I’ve rarely seen such a well written story, wrapped in a 16-episode drama. To be honest, I feared it would end up with what I call the “City Hunter Syndrome” : a good start, fillers, everything resolved in the last two episodes, and nothing explained.
I won’t tell you how it ends, but I can tell you one thing : each episode has been given a lot of thought. You can see it. Friend, trust me. And enjoy every minute of this drama with all your heart. Appreciate every quote, every shot.

Gwaenchana, Sarangiya. It’s Love, and it’s a sincere one.

Romantic love between a man and a woman has hardly ever been so well represented in a drama. Hae Soo and Jae Yeol love each other, they truly do. And they act like it. They talk about their feelings, their relationship, they kiss (and real kisses, not ‘our faces bumped into each other’s and our lips seem to be touching’), they make love, and they talk about it. They fight, and make up. They’re everything a couple is. They’re both really bold characters and if something isn’t going the way they want, they won’t hesitate about saying it. They speak up their minds. And it’s so refreshing to see, for the first time, a realistic couple in a drama talking about love. I’ve had too much of rich dickhead guy and poor nice girl, wrist grabbing, thinking about kissing and being flustered like a 14 year-old, sex being extra taboo, and over-cheesiness. Jang Jae Yeol and Ji Hae Soo are the realistic antithesis of the default kdrama couple. (Reply 1997 was also part of this wave to portray realistic couples and I wish for it to become a trendy thing in kdramas.)
If I didn’t know about them being already in a relationship with their respective partners, I’d think Gong Hyo Jin and Jo In Sung would truly be dating because their screen chemistry is incredible.

Gwaenchana, Sarangiya. Food for thought, heart, and ears.

As if this drama wasn’t already good enough, it also has a great OST. It’s a wise mix of Korean indie, pop songs, but also western folk, indie and even French electro/house that even myself, being French didn’t know about. Actually I discovered a lot of great artists thank to this drama, but my favourite song will remain Twin Forks’ “Cross My Mind”. First, it’s a really good song, but the moments associated with this song are among the happiest, and whenever this song came up, I couldn’t stop smiling. I’m thankful for this.

Gwaenchana, Sarangiya. Will I ever get tired of you like a lover I want to send away but can’t ?

The rewatch value of this drama is high in my opinion. So high that actually when I was around the 11th episode, I decided to rewatch it, when the original airing hadn’t even ended. Was it worth it ? Yes, definitely. Once you know more about each character, you notice things that are actually relevant to the last episodes and make the story even richer. That’s why I said to be attentive to every little thing, but it’s hard in one try.

Gwaenchana, Sarangiya. It’s okay. It’s love.

(THIS PART HAS SPOILERS)

The title could make you think it’s another cheesy drama. But it takes his whole meaning as you get more in the story.
It’s Jae Yeol telling Hae Soo that he loves her, and that’s okay. It’s Hae Soo telling herself that she’s in love, and that’s okay. It’s Jae Yeol realising his guilt is the result of loving his brother. Hae Soo’s mum sending her away because she doesn’t want her to live she way she lived. It’s Dong Il and Young Jin still being friends after everything they shared. It’s Soo Kwang calming himself after a seizure.

It’s okay. It’s love.

(END OF SPOILERS)

So, in short, why should you watch this drama ?

For the thoughtful and realistic portrayal of mental illnesses, as far as I know, and the will to make people realise they are not errors of nature.
For the incredible cast and mind-blowing acting.
For the so well written story.
For the realistic portrayal of romantic love between two people.
For the fabulous OST.
For the title.

tl;dr : It’s Okay, It’s Love feels like a gift to the world, and you should definitely give it a try.

I got to know about this drama while browsing instagram. Pictures and scenes suddenly started popping up everywhere, and I decided to give this drama a try even though I actually had wanted to watch something else.

Honestly I’m so glad I did. I love this drama to pieces. It embraces topics such as mental and financial independence, chasing your dreams, different aspects of relationships, having genuine friends and many more. Overall it’s very realistic and mature. Of course, this still is a drama and thus several silly scenes and strange twists are awaiting you, but everything fits in nicely.

I fell in love with this show from the very first episode. I could instantly connect to the characters. One reason why is that they are incredibly vivid, dynamic, credible and have a background story. Another reason is because you’re introduced to real life scenarios you might had experienced yourself. As I said it before, the realism is strong with this one.

One might complain that there are a lot of “fillers” here, or that a lot of scenarios are quite repetitive. However, most of these “fillers” cover character development and explain/deepen the relationship between two or more characters. Therefore, I don’t want to consider these moments as actual fillers. They didn’t bug me at all. The repetitive scenarios do have a purpose.

There's a lot of character development going on… Maybe too much? I can't answer this question properly, I guess. On one hand, I think that it would have been better if more characters remained static until the end because that's how it is sometimes; on the other hand, the developers did such a good job that I can’t even tell which character I would choose to remain static.

Unfortunately, the ending felt a bit rushed. I wished certain characters would have interacted more, but the ending scene itself is totally fine for me. It's a shame the characters didn't get time to reflect on particular events and twists properly.

Regarding the cast, I feel like the actors were very comfortable with each other; PSJ and KJW have great chemistry together. I haven’t seen KJW before, but she’s pretty and her acting skills are very good! Regarding PSJ, I think he did much better than in Hwarang; the developers did a good job writing Dong Man and Ae Ra. The second couple represents a great equivalence to the first one, and personally I think they did a good job on them, too. Genereally speaking: The cast ist AMAZING.

I have no complaints about the music; it suited all of the situations well as far as I can tell. I wished there would have been a bit of variation to it, though.

All in all I can say that this is a well-written drama embracing realism and everyday life, presenting great character development, and I think that this one is my second favourite drama so far.

Although I really enjoyed this drama, there were a few things that really bothered me.

1. Characters who should not have gotten redemption, got it, and that really frustrated me.
2. It felt like they put in tragic stuff just for the sake of it.
3. There was no closure on anything. Characters that suffered in the beginning were still suffering at the end.

However, the actors were phenomenal. Joon Ki was absolutely amazing. Extremely captivating, he was the main reason I continued to watch until the end. I hope for a season 2 or a special to give us some closure. I don't like how it ended at all. But I'm someone who likes happy endings lol. This drama made me cry really hard. Way too hard.

One of the best romantic comedies I've watched yet. Must watch! Funny banter and heartwarming friendships make this slice of life drama really entertaining. It hooked me within the first 30 minutes with its humorous depictions of 4 lovable BFFs struggling to figure out their lives.

But the best thing about it is how real it feels. The actors do such a great job making their characters come alive. They all feel like real people - friends that you might know if real life with relatable career obstacles and realistic relationship troubles. It's really touching how they support and care for each other even though they might talk tough. You really feel the deep connections between the childhood friends and the 2 main leads have great chemistry.

The writing and pacing are great. With most dramas it takes a few episodes for me to warm up and get into the story or characters. But this one is easy and comfortable and hard not to love from the start.

If you are looking for an enterteiment drama, no matter ilogical situations and ridiculous characters, this is the right one.
The pacing in this drama is really good, some twists are good, and the characters are just the way they are, you can hate them or love them. (personally i just hated almost all, like detectives, especially Soo Ji).
The story is nothing new, is about revenge and justice, is full of cliches, full of plot holes, at the begining the main theme is revenge and justice, in the midle is corruption and politics, and at the end is about...*rolling eyes*...secondary characters their stupid desitions and the impact in the whole story, so don't expect nothing for the end, the writers/ director/producers complicated a story that could have had a much better conclusion.

The acting is not bad, but the cast could have been done better and i´m talking about Lee Shi Young, i feel like she wasn´t the right for the role the drama needed, a more complete actress capable of make her character simpathize with the viewers like Hwang Jung Eum in Secret or Lee Boo Young in I can hear your voice. The other actors i think they fit their roles Kim Young Kwang has an inusual character, but i really enjoyed Key, Kim Seul Gi and Shin Dong Wook, Kim Tae Hoon was a litlle bit disapoiment in this.

The music is diferent even if there are only two songs, i enjoyed them.

Someday maybe i will rewatch some episodes in the middle only because they were so enterteining.

Chun is a rich kid, he's snob, he has no manners at all, he's rude, he never says I'm sorry or accepts his faults. His father is a famous hotelier, one day he sends him to a Hotel Management School in Switzerland.

He's not a bad person but he grew up without love, his father never had time for him and never showed love, he grew up with a nannny, even on his birthday party when he was a child, he has photos of other people not him.

There he meets Wan for the 2nd time after their first encounter in Thailand, who also happens to be a student in that school

Wan was a woman who had no self respect or self confidence before falling in love with Chun, I forgot how many times her ex had cheated on her, been violent to her each time she forgave him not only that he asked her to stop seeing her best friends, stop working and be mother and wife, a stay at home mother, who cleans and cooks all day..

Chun & Wan have both cheating partners.

During the time in Swiss they got (Chun & Wan) close, they fell in love, By Ep 6 you can see that Chun is slowly falling in love with Wan.

Chun has a greedy girl friend who keeps on cheating on him,who doesn't want to let him go, so she follows him to Swiss after a couple of months, What's more nerve wrecking is Chun's dad knows that his girl friend is unfaithful to him, and he still encourages his son to be with her.

After returning back to Thailand Wan learns that she's pregnant, Chun suspects he's the father but Wan says no, he believes and leaves her... (he doesn't even do a basic calculation from his mind)

Chun poisoned himself not to get married with his greedy gf, eventually they break up for good, Chun travels for 5 years and one day he meets a little boy, after chatting for a bit, he suspects he might his son... Baby boy turns out to be his son, the kid was also a look a like of the main actor, dunno how they do this. :)

I actually this was a bit boring I skipped a lot of scenes. SO not that exciting that you look forward to watch the next episode.

I can't really recommend it.. I don't know the main actors, this is the first time I'm watching any of their drama, but they are considered as Veteran actors.

So if you like the actors just watch it for them, if not don't waste your time,

I'm quite happy with my choice to watch this drama. Not gonna lie, Park Seo Joon is my favorite Korean actor so naturally this drama became a "must-watch".

The storyline was average but quite realistic and relatable. My main focus became the character of this series. They're all so unique and I really enjoyed the strong female lead in this one. Kim Ji Won is definitely a talented actress and made this drama very spunky and full of life. Furthermore, the soundtrack was very fitting with the overall vibe of this drama. Would re-watch it for the comedy aspect.
