If I had to choose one color to describe this dorama, it would be PINK.

If I had to choose a drink, it would be HOT CHOCOLATE (warm and sweet).

If I had to choose something edible, it would be COTTON CANDY (fluffy).

I had a smile during all the first 12 episodes, it is that cute. The first 12 episodes were the cutest thing I've ever watched. I disagree with people saying that Naoki was an ass (ok he was, but he wasn't harmful, unlike **coughHyuugafromRMPWandDomyoujifromHYDcough**) and Kotoko certainly wasn't stupid nor stalker, just a teenager in love (if she was a stalker, I think me and hundreds of girls were/are stalkers in HS).

The love triangles that happen throughout the story were well done and not annoying at all, since nothing happens. Kin-chan is the sweetest second lead character I've seen so far, and it was hard not to root for him. But since Kotoko was my favorite character, and everything that made her happy was Naoki, I just had to root for Irie-kun, even if it was hard to do. Like in the final 4 episodes, which were by far my least favorite episodes and the reason I downgraded my rating.

I absolutely ADORED Miki Honoka as Kotoko. Any other actress would have made the character a silly, pathetic one. But thanks to Honoka, Kotoko is the most adorable heroine I may have seen in a dorama. So cute, so bubbly, so charming, so charismatic. Her expressions were so funny, so adorable. Her different hairstyles, her imperfect eyebrows... everything about her scream KAWAII.

Furukawa was good as well, since he didn't have to show much in his expressions, but my, he showed so much in his eyes. I only wished he wasn't that skinny, because he had the perfect height, and of course, a perfect English accent.

The only actor who wasn't so good was Sudo-sempai. He overacted too much, like an anime character. Like Oscar from Hana Kimi, only that in this dorama it looked ridiculous. Naoki's mother overacted a lot as well, but it suited the moment.

I LOVED the OP song and opening sequence. So cute.

As soon as I finished it, I wanted to watch it all over again. I am missing them so much, and it has only been a couple of days! No doubt I'll re-watch this. Very recommended **hearts**

Your Lie in April, known in Japan as Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (???????, lit. April is Your Lie) or just simply Kimiuso, is a Japanese manga and anime and movie.

K?sei is a former child prodigy in playing piano, dubbed the "Human Metronome" for his near-inhuman mechanical accuracy, a product of his mother's overly strict methods of teaching. His ability to play the piano with unparalleled precision led him to win many competitions across Japan and even be invited to play abroad. When his mother died, the resulting psychological trauma caused him to be unable to hear the sound of his piano playing, and he gave up on it. Two years later, he takes up the piano again after being convinced by Kaori Miyazono to become her accompanist. Influenced by her emotional and unrestrained playing style, K?sei eventually finds himself falling in love with her. He, however, does not confess his feelings due to him thinking she liking his best friend, Ryota Watari.

I PERSONALLY LIKED it very much because the actors were able to convey there feelings very well kento yamazaki who i personally love and adore the way he act and shows he's charisma i have watched his movies l dk. herione shakkaku, orange, and wolf girl and black prince and am planing ti watch his next live action move the disastrous life of saiki k.

ok lets get back on topic the really wasn't anything i hated about the drama hirose suzu was able to play her character very well and was able to show how sweet and braze she was in the outside but was scared and afriand in the inside

THANKS FOR READING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally loved this! Gourmet took precedence for me over all the currently airing or newer dramas I have been watching this week. I just couldn't stop watching and lost a lot of sleep in the process. It's a really heartfelt drama centered around family drama and food that I think many would enjoy. I thought I'd put in a good review, because I think it deserves higher ratings than it has.

THE STORY: I was hooked on it from the first episode. It's about a father and 2 sons who run a renowned historic restaurant serving traditional Korean food. What I really enjoyed is the way the father-son and brother-brother relationships are played out. There are good guys and bad guys, but the bad guys are relatively well-rounded and realistic. You can kind of see their point of view and feel for them. The actors all do a great job bringing these characters to life. Kim Rae Won is really likable as the the sincere and naturally talented chef, Sung Chan. Kwon Oh Jung is good as Bong Joo, Sung Chan's overly-ambitious brother. And Choi Bool Am is endearing as their father.

The story touches on themes like balancing modernization with protecting tradition and heritage, living up to your parents expectations and finding your own way in life. It's relatively realistic for a drama. Just like in everyday life there's a little bit of everything - some fun moments, some sadness, rivalries, competition, jealousies, heartwarming and supportive friendships. There is some romance. It was cute, but not the main focus of this drama.

THE FOOD COMPETITIONS: The plot involves not just one food competition but several cooking competitions. And it all looks so good to me. I want to taste it all. There is a lot of focus on the food preparation and the drama of coming up with interesting creative recipes that will outdo the competition. I love watching cooking competition shows so I really get into this aspect of the story and find it exciting. And I don't know much about Korean food so it is really interesting for me to watch them making it and see how they eat and appreciate it.

THE PACING: I read some comments about it being slow. I didn't find it slow, but I can understand why some people might feel this way if watching people making food or talking food doesn't interest you or you prefer dramas with more focus on romance or thrills. But I thought the pacing of the story was just right. Every scene had its purpose and moved things along at a comfortable pace.

Maybe it's not everyone's taste, but this drama left me feeling happy and satisfied just like a good meal. It's definitely one of my favorites!

I'm giving this a very high rating because of the main leads. Such great chemistry. It's worth watching just for them.

The story isn't much and actually somewhat generic. Other characters also seemed generic, but actually is quite different from your usual kdrama romcom w/ rich male lead heir.

If nothing else, I hope the show gives you motivation to be healthy. Be warned though, the show feels like it's stretched out. It feels like it could have ended happily around ep 10-12.

The minute I started watching, I already loved the characters. The acting and story was well done, however to me it was a little slow. I bet it was because they wanted to fill in all the 16 episodes, but otherwise this was an AMAZING show to watch!!!
I have to warn that I noticed lots of product placements that did not necessarily sneak their way into the story well enough because it was like every time the characters had a breather from the suspense they did a product placement.
The side characters also stood out in their own way. However, there was a lot of gay humor which was funny (but if you don't like that kind of stuff then this is not a show you should watch). This show reminded me slightly of 'W' (if you haven't seen that drama - it's a MUST watch!!) because there was a lot of cartoon elements that made it seem like it was written from a webtoon.
The main heroine has super strength (not a spoiler), but she shows a lot more character as a woman than just being strong. Even though she looks weak, she fights off many difficulties pushed at her as well as showing signs of weakness (because a person cannot be strong all the time).
Of course, this is a romance so which guy does she fall in love with in the end? WATCH TO FIND OUT!!! ^_^

Loved the banter between the two lead actors. The girl got on my nerves sometimes because of how she treated the guy towards the end. The storyline did get a little crazy towards the end....almost unrealistic. But overall the storyline was refreshing (at least for me).

Why watch this film? For the actors, I guess. Or, if you are not in a mood for something too heavy. Though this one does get a little boring. Another problem was that the film focuses on representing the webtoon dynamics, trying to present that manga feeling as good as possible, which, unfortunately, results to make the film look cheep and kind of a TV movie. The story is not that bad, as the characters are interesting, but everything that happens is comical, odd and idiotic. Even the performances couldn't save the movie, as the events are simply too ridiculous to make sense.

Not bad, but not as good as the first movie. This one had more appearance of the childhood friend, which complicates the love story a bit and the teams relations. It stirs some past wounds as well, with the past always popping up and the story focusing more on the characters. However, that means that the whole action theme that the first movie had is lost. It seems like the movie makers can't find the perfect balance between action and story depth. Though, the performances were good, maybe better than the first one, as the actors had more to work with other than the game dynamics, the whole team spirit and game thrill were lost, resulting to a bit of a boring middle and a really bad ending.

There are few movies adapted by manga that can pull of the whole action thrill. And this one nails it. The game, probably a bit odd for those of us who don't know it, doesn't appeal much at first. But, somehow, the movie manages to present it as thrilling as any other sports game. The action is packed and the team dynamics perfect. However, the movie centres around the game, which means that its sole focus is that and other parts of the movie, such as the romance and the friendship that faced some hardships, were overlooked. There were some hints here and there, but they are not sufficient enough to complete the picture of what happened in the past. That said, in addition, the film doesn't really present its characters personalities and unique colours in depth. Finally, the performances were good and the movie, overall, enjoyable.

This is a brilliant movie , you cant say that one certain person was the fault of all of this ,you cant point a finger at someone and call them evil , everyone had reasons for everything they've done and whether it's justifiable or not goes for who's watching to decide ..
i found myself on the edge of my seat the whole time,. the heavy and tangled plot drew me in the whole time i couldn't catch myself being bored or looking away for a second , what i love the most is the scene in the end , which i cant spoil for anyone , but it was just...genius it's the only word that comes to mind to describe it ..
I cant even grasp my thoughts to talk about how amazingly and thoughtfully it was filmed..through the whole movie it's heavily filtered with grey and cool undertones which helps deliver the idea and the feelings of the characters , every shot is well thought and accompanied with a very fitting soundtrack , this was a big part of why i loved this movie the moment my eyes fell on the opening scenes
I 100% recommend this , even if it isn't your cup of tea you will still come out feeling like something in you has changed.

I dropped it after Episode 14 and I have to say that while this drama is really unpredictable at times, the overall setup and execution is predictable and cliche to the point were there's no point in watching anymore because you figure out quickly what they're trying to do and accomplish. But in turn, I've read the recaps for the few episodes remaining and while nothing surprised me, I'm glad it ended on a high note so this review isn't really the complete review but I've gone as far as I can with this drama.

It started off loud and for the first little bit it was quite entertaining. Do Hyun's different personalities and the relationships within. A very unique and intriguing subject surrounding mental health. How the past shapes and molds our futures.

JS has the best acting range in the industry. It takes someone special to pull off convincingly the variety of complex characters he was tasked to showcase. Everyone else played their parts accordingly. I will admit HJE's constant screaming was annoying but she had some great moments too. It is funny especially with the Perry Park and Yo-na scenes. The OST was okay, I was surprised by Gotye.

The flashbacks really do hinder the story though for me. It's not crazy happenstance, it's fated crazy happenstance which is very tricky to achieve. I think the present time stories really suffered because of the over-reliance on flashbacks. KYR and OMS characters were severely underwritten and were non factors. If you told the story chronologically, would it have the same impact that it was supposed to or would it keep the viewer guessing enough to last the whole viewing without being told how to feel, I tend to go with the former.

I also note that when this aired, there was another similar drama at the same time, Hyde, Jekyll, Me and I had seen and completed that before this one but I still consider KMHM the more serious of the two and overall much better executed story. So if HJM didn't do enough, KMHM does more than enough and some might say too much.

I was hesitant to watch this drama only bcoz of Roy. I had seen him in Office Girls (my first Asian drama ever) and thought I had grown past him by now. I saw the trailer by accident on YouTube and was shocked to see this aswesome guy he is now!

For the drama -thank God I watched it. It is beautifully made. Excellent cast and chemistry. You will FEEL deeply while watching this.

Been ages since I have seen a drama that is really different.

Taiwanese Comedy cannot compare to Korean ones but the chemistry and antics come close.

This is my first time writing a review for a show. I've watched LMH in the heirs and boys over flowers, which was my first k-drama but this is the show where I like him the most. Very natural acting. The chemistry between choi young and yoo eun soo is one of the best I've seen so far.

The music was very appropriate and listening to the soundtrack brings back happy memories of the show,

The show as engaging throughout and I enjoyed the blend of politics and romance. As much as I love the small romantic gestures, I kept wishing for a little bit more. That's what would have made the show a perfect 10 for me.

Lastly, the ending left me wanting. It felt a bit rushed, I would have loved to learn how the stories of each of the side characters ended, especially the king and queen. Also a grand romantic gesture for the leads would have been epic.

I would have rewatched it again right after the first time but I so many othe shows to watch that this will have to wait. Some day, months or a year from now I intend to rewatch this show from the beginning.

Alright.

First of all, I want to say one thing.

I didn't expect this.

The story was really really good, why do we write ? What's the meaning of our past ? How history make our society ? The leading questions were a big part of my answer of "Why did you like this drama ?"

I'm fond of history and books. And watching something that talk about the two subjects was really good.

The 3 leads actors were very good in their roles. And for the actor Yoo Ah in, he was prettiest in the past, god, his hair... (sorry sorry)

The way that the scriptwriter made the drama was really good too. We learn the past really slowly and fluidly, each episode was a little surprise...

Musics were very good, nothing more about thaht.

For a personal note, the past story of Korea (japanese occupation in korea) is something that I can rely to my story. France knew a periode like this (not as long as korea but...), and I used to ear my grand parents talk to me about that time of my history. So this drama touch my in an other way, anyway, a story like this touch everyone.

Watch it. Please.

(I WANT TO FORGET THAT I SAW THIS DRAMA FOR REWATCHING IT AND REDISCOVERING IT)
