One of the best Korean Dramas out there. Quality from all over the place. From casting and acting, music score, cinematography (especially Cinematography), and even the story - amazing quality.

What really makes this Drama special is the amount of quality it has. The Cinematography is really great. The music is also great. The best part is of course the characters, the surprising chemistry and the relationships.

The story sounded generic when I first read it, and it might be just a little bit. However, this drama is one step above in all aspects. You have to also pay a bit of attention to the background and other images you see on screen. It's actually very well written.

Just a fair warning though, lots of crying, especially near the end of the series. But then again, what's "drama" without some crying (there's a LOT though).

I was excited about this drama, and even enjoyed the first few episodes although I expected more. Well telling the truth, I expected much more from the drama itself.

The story was simple and in general it was beautiful, but ... I felt they tried to get the melodrama by force and it did not go well. The characters themselves were not the best either, so I did not find the novel very plausible, especially her.
For me, the best characters were undoubtedly the secretary and the kitchen girl, I found a lot of joke to both of them.

There were times when I felt sorry for the child because no one but her friend cared for him, and all the misunderstandings she indirectly created were excused and I honestly did not understand what the girl's problem was about the kid.
I feel this would be a gret mini drama or a two episodes drama.

The music was good.

I do not advise to see and I will not see this again.

I'm just recently getting into Korean Dramas again. This is a great Korean drama.

The casting is pretty great. The Titular character is amazing to watch with his little mannerisms here and there.

The story is good imo, but gets a little 'crazy' at the end. The music is great and borrows themes from certain Korean dramas, as well as some references here and there.

Overall, a very funny drama with some serious moments. Lots of feel good stuff especially near the end. The characters are what makes this show great.

This drama started okay, though you do not expect those scenes in a k
drama (not that I minded, but it was a surprise). The story is okay,
kind of interesting, especially when it came to the little boy's real
family (the boy was adorable by the way!!). But then, from episode 10
till the end (thank the production that made it only 13 episodes long,
there would have been zero point in dragging the plot for another 3
episodes), the episodes were a few new scenes and everything a repeated
parade of flash backs, from everyone's point of view. That was my main
problem with this drama. Actually, the performances weren't bad, and
the love triangle had it's moments. So, 4 out of 10.

Didn't not expect this drama to be this bad. The main story didn't seem
like something crazily interesting, but still, the first episode was
promising. However, the drama was tiring, with a boring plot that
dragged on and on, with no actual twists, no chemistry between the
actors (not even the couple was good) and no humour. That resulted to
prevent me finishing this one, and I rarely leave dramas like that. I
mean, I was able to force myself to watch to the beautiful you, when
the plot got so predictable and boring, I could feel hours of my life
being wasted for nothing. But this drama was even worse. Maybe I was
expecting more out of it, as the cast was maned by seriously good
actors. So, what happened? I blame most of it on the story that was an
actual mess. So, 2 out of 10.

I have a lot of words to describe this drama, this drama blew my mind off. It was amazing. This is my first review, and i had to do it on this drama.

The drama consists of, love, heartbreaks, anger, laughter and many more. It kept on getting me going on and going, i binge watched this 2 days straight. I am actually sad that it ended.

Story: The story was beautifully done, i loved it so much. It was different than the other historical drama's i have watched. Majority of them would be similar but this is by far different. What i liked about this story is that for me it did not drag at all even though it was a 58 episode drama, they kept going straight to the plot, not dragging it out which made the drama not boring to watch. each episode consist of either happiness or sadness, which craves you to watch more and more. There was nothing for me to dislike about this drama, as i loved it from the beginning to the end. Another thing i liked about this drama was the ending, ha. It is not like any other historical drama's i have watched it was different and very satisfying. I was pleased with it and could not have asked for a better ending.
The drama overall was mind-blowing. The producer and directer did an amazing job. The story line rating i will give is 10/10

Acting/ Cast: The acting and cast was amazing! I loved every actors and actresses who played a role in this drama, they did really good carrying the emotions, i even loved the actresses who played the villain, just by watching it i would not be able to act like they have. I have never seen them in other drama's which made me want to watch them even more, and hopefully they are soon main casts in other new dramas. I loved Yang Mi and Mark Chao, they had an ASTOUNDING relationship, i loved watching them so much, and i hope they are main lead couples in other dramas too, because i would not get bored of watching them. The side cast, i also loved them too and their side stories it was beautiful, as it went into details but not let it get in the way of the actual main story. The actor/character i went truly sad for was Li Jing (Vin Zhang) i just wanted to hug him so much, he was so cute! The acting/ cast rating i will give is 10/10

Music: I loved every songs/music they played, and i still do listen to them. I had to download it as soon as it finished the music/songs suited the drama so much. The music gave me the Princess Wei Young vibe, i hope im not the only one who thinks that here lol. The rating i will give for the music is 10/10

Re watch: I don't usually re watch dramas but i would definitely re watch this drama, as it was beautifully done and this drama will always be in my head. So the re watch value i will give is 10/10

Overall, the drama was good, you'll love it and will never regret watching it. If you are thinking "58 episodes is soo long" trust me it really isn't because you'll end up wanting more episodes, i thought the same and i am happy and lucky to have watched this drama and to finish it.

The story of this drama from the outset isn't really a typical romcom, though it is certainly a romcom by genre. The story first and foremost is about being the best version of yourself, living the best life you can live, and loving yourself. It's a character-centric drama and that's what I love about it.

This show features one of the hottest makeout sessions you will ever see in a Korean drama. But that really wasn't the selling point of the show for me. It was the characters.

I just love the character of Normal Oh Hae Young. Precisely because, as her nickname indicates, she is so normal. And for lack of a better word, relatable. She is such an atypical Korean drama heroine, and I feel that this is one of the few truly female-centric K-dramas out there (just because a drama has a female lead character doesn't mean it's female-centric). I mean, even the drama title has her name in it!

Eric's character, Do-kyung, is very much a typical male K-drama lead, but in this show, you can observe real growth and progression in his character, which is pleasing. The supernatural element in his character's storyline is intriguing and definitely an important part of his character and his growth, but it isn't the thing that will stay with me from this drama.

Even then, this show like any other K-drama is definitely not free from angst. After the midpoint of the show, the angst kicks in fast and really hard, and made me wonder, oh man when will the . I do wonder though, if there wasn't a 2-episode extension, whether the story would have been slightly better. The extension was certainly felt, but it wasn't painfully obvious as it usually is in many dramas. But as I always say, the angst usually has a great payoff.

Seo Hyun Jin and Eric have sizzling chemistry, which is not surprising as they're known to have good chemistry with their co-leads in other dramas as well.

Seo Hyun-jin breathed so much life into the Normal Oh Hae Young character and you can just see how much love she had for Normal Oh Hae Young. I first watched her in Let's Eat 2 and I've loved her ever since. Eric is hot, what more can I say. Good actor too.

As for the supporting cast and characters, Jeon Hye-bin was alright; I believe she infused her Pretty Oh Hae Young character with compassion, to win the viewers over from what would have started as a very hostile position against her character, to one of empathy and love. Lee Jae Yoon honestly wasn't given that much material to work with, so it's hard to give a firm comment on his character as well.

Some of the other more 'miscellaneous' characters really steal the show - Normal Oh Hae Young's parents, Soo-kyung and Jin Sang (love Kim Ji-suk so much and wish there was more love for him) with their own little cute but in no way insignificant loveline,

Ben is killing it with these soundtracks; I previously heard her sing on the Oh My Ghostess soundtrack, and she had a great song on that show. She sings the theme song on this show too, and it's fantastic; it's catchy and meaningful too.

After completing the show I wondered to myself why it took me so long to watch this show. So please don't be like me and regret not watching it sooner!

This is just a subjective review. And i watched Sotus after watched Singto in U-Prince The Series. This is my 2nd BL series.

STORY: In reality, i actually still do not agree about hazzle thingy, so at first the summary did not really impress me. But i still should watch it, because of Singto's adorable smile in U-Prince. I admit, the story is well written. But (again) unfortunately, i watched this series after i watched LoveSick, so i do not have another choice but to compare them. LoveSick were focused on the main couple's feeling, so it was full of sweetness (i almost got diabetes). And Sotus Season 1 were not as sweet as LoveSick, since its the beginning of their relationship, so it kinda lacks of sweetness (i need more, ya know). But i'm still hoping that in the Sotus S they would show me bunch of sweetness.

ACTING/ CAST: Before i know that Singto is actually Krist's senior in reality, i actually scared of Krist, but now i kinda scared of Singto haha. Krist's acting skill of being scary, being annoyed by Kongpob, being cute and awkward, also being nice is perfect for Arthit. Singto was also good as Kongpob, he totally looks like a student with so many question in his life, so i think he looks perfect as Kongpob. Another supporting actors, like P'Off and Newie is also good as a supporting characters, they got into my eyes, and linked me into another series. GODDAMN IT!

MUSIC: I do not really observed the musics. But, i have no negative comment about the music, it's just compatible for the story, so i guess i like it.

REWATCH VALUE: For me, this drama still lacks of sweetness, and i'm not the type of person who re-watch a drama again and again, so, maybe if i should re-watch it again, i would probably re-watch the sweet moment only. But LoveSick broke me into pieces, i re-watched it 5 times, i guess.

SPECIAL NOTE: I'm a k-drama lovers, and i'm a newbie in Thai-series. But i already found many handsome, cute, tall, and hot actors in Thai-series. I actually tired to know more new handsome yet cute actors in dramaland. If anyone have some tips for me to rescue my life from those actors, please tell me the secret haha. Sotus S! I'm waiting for you! I miss P'Off and P'Gun already.. haha

So, just finished this last night. Great drama, especially if you're a crime fiction enthusiast like myself ^^ On to the review!

Story:
I really did like the story. It was similar to a lot of mystery dramas in that the lead detective always has something odd and mysterious about him, and he and his squad go off and solve all these cases. All the cases are gripping from start to finish, and let me just tell you now, you will never be able to guess the real conclusion of a case until its over, lol. Especially in earlier episodes, they are astonishingly elaborate, but still, quite fun to follow the development of. Like I mentioned, the lead detective has got his own mysterious history, and the reason why I rated the story not quite as high is because I felt that the ending of his story could have been told better, but who knows, there may be a second season to look forward to.

Cast:
They were all fab. I liked all the detectives in the special investigations quad, especially Detective Oh (Park Hee Soon). He's just such an entertaining character and his phone ringtone is my LIFE (you will hear it a lot, lol). There were other sort of main characters too, but they weren't present as often. I felt that the victims and criminals used in the different cases were also very good at portraying their roles. There are definitely a few sad moments in this drama, prepare yourself.

Music:
YES!!! For once I actually thoroughly enjoyed the music in a drama lol. It was memorable and really suited the scenes it was used in. Like really, every time certain songs came on they really added to the atmosphere. 11/10 tbh.

Overall:
Fab drama, would definitely recommend. The ending might not be the best, but I suppose that's up to your opinion of it as well. SIGGHHH, wish it had more episodes lol.

All I can say about this film is wow! There are not many films that I have seen that have literally left me in pieces but this one did. I loved the fact that the setting was not over the top and that all the acting told the story. The ending itself was so wide and up to interpretation, definitely something I'm not used too but gave me the opportunity to think about the overall meaning of the film.

The film brings up dark and realistic issues that happen to so many people everywhere and the responses that can occur. People can mean well deep down and try to showcase that but sometimes when issues occur that seem to big to handle, it can make us confused, shocked, and turn away rather than help which is a sad reality.

I definitely give major props to all the people who took part in making this film! Well done!

This was possibly the worst Kimberley drama, I didn't feel any chemistry in between the leads, I have watched it for Mark & Nadech.

I wished for a change Kim would be the rich but nice girl, she was so bad to Pupen until she learnt that he's a prince.

First time I'm watching the male guy, much prefer Kim with Mark, Nadech, James...

I wish it was written a little better.

Last 2009 I think was the last time I've watched this drama, that time I remember that I was totally hooked by it but then I wasn't able to watch it completely because I had school days and I was only watching it in our local channel dubbed by our local language. So after almost 8 years I'm so glad I've rewatched it and it is totally my topmost favorite korean drama! I love the story which revolves around the 2 families and each of them I must say were all interesting and enjoyable to watch because of their personalities and stories to tell. It is so good to watch a drama about family and second chances that is well mixed with laughters, sad moments and romantic yet comically executed. I like it thay drama shows how each characters change gradually for the better and some of the situations were relatable in reality that is why you get to feel as if your not watching a drama beacuse you feel it. Then there's the main couple whom I totally enjoyed the chemistry, their quarrels, sweet moments were so cute that you found yourself thinking that the thought of dating isn't actually that bad if the person is like kang hyun soo's character.haha. So all in all I will give this drama a super thumbs up! I hope korea will make more dramas with those kind of natural and interesting stories that is very inspirational and enjoyable that is well played by good actors. Thank you kdramas for giving goodvibes throughout the years.

This was a great drama, at first 60 episodes do scares me, because I know dramas with that many episodes will only drag the storyline longer and I was not wrong. Thes problem in this story is that the main girl frustrates me so much that there was a time I wanted the lead guy to just give up on her and go find someone else, but after all those screaming and yelling, and give it my patience and I finished it. The actors are very good at carrying out their role, especially the evil characters, they came out stronger than the lead which makes it very interesting. Totally recommend for those who enjoy, family dramas, love, hate relationship and dream comes true kind of genre.

Mystery Queen (AKA Queen of Mystery)

I loved this drama. It was definitely a mystery/police procedural drama and not a romance drama (if this show was made in the US, there probably might have been a romance subplot between the main two characters but societal expectations in Korea are different and there isn't and that's just fine. It didn't need any romance). This show is about Yoo Seol Ok (played by Choi Kang Hee), a neighborhood ahjumma who is basically like Sherlock Holmes in her ability with deductive reasoning. Seol Ok gets involved in investigating some crimes that occur in her neighborhood because Chief Hong Joon Oh (played adorably by Lee Won Geun), the head of her neighborhood police station, consults her for help with his investigations. They cross paths with Ha Wan Seung (played by Kwon Sang Woo - who can smirk at me any time he wants to, thanks), a detective in the drug unit/violent crimes unit who is something of a loose cannon. He and Seol Ok clash quite a bit, but form a bickering partnership in order to hunt down some criminals. The various cases that they encounter are interesting (watch out for the whole serial killers are like mice - if you see one, you know there are more in the walls - trope) and Seol Ok gets to shine as a not typical female character. The supporting cast in this drama really round out the experience and make you glad to join them each episode.

Don't expect an ending where things are wrapped up tidily. I was honestly a bit flabbergasted by the ending, since kdramas don't typically have multiple seasons but it definitely felt more like a season finale in a U.S. procedural show with some big plot reveals right at the very end. I would not be unhappy if there was a second season of this show. Choi Kang Hee's clear delight in playing Seol Ok is wonderful and the bickering, sibling-like interplay she has with Kwon Sang Woo's Ha Wan Seung is very engaging. Highly recommended, especially if you're looking for something not your typical kdrama fare.

Story is really only minus half a star because of how many loose ends there still were at the end of the last episode.

This is the kind of drama you watch strictly to get a your romance fix! If you're not a romcom fan then don't even bother with this one, but If you are a a fan this could be worth watching if you keep your expectations realistic. This one is like a romcom snack. There are enough likable characters, cute moments, and a decent enough story to keep it entertaining, but there isn't really much substance. What really matters is that the 2 leads make a good pair, and that's what kept me watching.

Song Ji Eun is cute as the shy and repressed Yoo Mi, and Sung Hoon is perfect as the "sexy and he knows it" typical spoiled chaebol's son Cha Jin Wook. Of course their paths keep crossing in the expected ways, and their chemistry goes from annoyance to playfulness and then escalating quickly... VERY quickly. I think that's what initially got me hooked. Still, it was obvious pretty early on that there wouldn't be much to this story. As cute as they were as a couple this love story got repetitive pretty quickly, and towards the end was so unrealistic and overly cheesy that I stopped being interested in them at all. Their inner monologues tried so hard to be deep but they seemed really shallow, and the stakes just didn't seem as high as their reactions made them out to be. The more dramatic it got the worst their acting got.

I think the drama did have some entertaining supporting characters. I enjoyed the mom, even if she was a frustrating mess, and Nam Ki Ae is always good at playing a mess of a mother. I liked the second lead, although he didn't have much of a story to work with. My favorite was the Secretary, who's suits made him an instant scene stealer, and his boo in the kitchen staff. The supporting cast helped to make some of the most repetitive moments easier to sit through.

Even though this drama is shorter than most, I still think it was too long. It could have easily been 10 episodes, or maybe even less. I still found myself eager to watch more moments between the two characters, but in the last episodes it was like they just gave up and started to rely on flashbacks! Ugh! The flashback abuse in this drama is pretty epic. Not only does every episode end with recaps that were super literal, extra cheesy, and felt completely unnecessary, but the final episodes almost seemed like music videos strung together with fan compilations of all the cutest scenes. The last 4 episodes are almost unwatchable because it was mostly everything I already saw. They repeated scenes so much that they lost all of their previous charm, including the kiss scenes.

The music is also super cheesy, which matched the show well, but it was driving me a little nutty. There was even a moment where Yoo Mi sings for so long I though it was turning into a musical. So I give the music a 4 for simply not being my taste. Not to mention the damn sound effects. Someone got a little too happy with the sound effects machine!

Would I watch this again? Maybe. I would probably skip the last episodes 10-12, but it's entertaining enough to watch if I need another quick romcom fix. The ending is such a let down, so I'd really have to have run out of other things to watch.

Overall this is a quick romcom you can easily binge watch, but I say keep your finger on the fast forward button for those repetitive flashbacks. If the idea of literally falling into someone's arms sounds too corny, or if a boss using abuse of power to flirt with an employee sounds like a reason to visit HR not a premise for a love story, then maybe you should watch a different kind of drama instead. I really wish they would have put more effort into the story, but for what it was, I was entertained enough to keep watching. For those not scared away by these mediocre reviews I'd say lower your expectations, and enjoy this cheesy romcom snack. (get it... she makes food :( sorry! )
