Lie To Me

This was a re-watch. In retrospect, I think this show suffered a lot on the second time viewing. I had fonder memories of it the first time around. For instance, I had forgotten entirely how torturous the final two and a half or so episodes were. I still love Yoon Eun Hye, who plays Gong Ah Jung, a civil servant who works for the Ministry of Tourism. Her character tells a little white lie about being married in an attempt to one-up a frenemy, and it ends up being blown all out of proportion, linking her to the chaebol CEO Hyun Ki Joon, played refreshingly by Kang Ji Hwan. He starts out very gruff, cold, and aloof but quickly assuages any worries about him being the stereotypical terrible human being CEO type but actually being quite charmingly naive and humanly broken by a previous love and some complicated family issues. Sung Joon plays his younger brother, Hyun Sang Hee, though I feel like his character must not have tested positively when the show was airing because he gets dropped rather abruptly about 3/4ths of the way through the series. Jo Yoon Hee plays Oh Yoon Jo, the ubiquitous former girlfriend who returns and insists on everything falling into place the way she wants it regardless of the feelings of anyone else involved character.

Hong Soo Hyun does a great job as Yoo So Ran, the frenemy of Gong Ah Jung. The elder romantic triangle between Gong Ah Jun's father, the woman he loves, and another friend is really sweet and deserved more air time. Certainly some of the time wasted in the last two episodes could have been better spent wrapping up that subplot more satisfactorily.

Oh man...This drama was fantastic. I literally just finished this drama two minutes ago and knew I had to write a review about it because it was this good. Usually I'm not the one to post things like reviews and comments but this drama is an exception. Warning: this review might be very long because there were many episodes so I have more to talk about
Story: 9.0/10
The story takes you on a journey of a girl and how she deals with trials and errors. And also meets a lover on the way. In all honesty, the only problem I had with the drama was that it was repetitive. To the point I had to skip some scenes because things kept on repeating. And I'm usually not the type of person to skip scenes. Other than that, it was very interesting and a thing I kept in mind was I had to remember new characters that were added to the story.
Acting/Cast: First impression was why did they choose this girl as the main lead? Well, after finishing every episode, I realized why. She was just amazing. That goes the same for Luo Jin and all the other actors in this show. Everyone played their role amazingly. And props to the villains in this drama because they did a good job for making me hate them so much.
Music: 8.5/10
I did not really pay attention to the music but hearing the opening song 54 times, it's pretty good. And they also played the songs at the right times in the drama.
Rewatch value:5.0/10
Mainly because there are so many episodes but I will probably go on youtube to go watch the cute little
clips that I liked in the drama :)

It took awhile, but I'm totally on the bandwagon. This drama is awesome. I started watching it because of all the rave reviews, but had a hard time getting into it and I actually dropped it around episode 15 or so because I had a hard time connecting to the characters. But I'm so glad I picked it up again. The drama builds up slowly but the payoff is so worth it. It's so intelligent but at the same time deeply emotional. So if there's anyone out there like me who usually likes historical dramas but have a hard time getting into this one, you might be really happy to hang in there.

Each story detail is meticulously revealed for a reason. I think this is one drama where a slow build up might actually help make it a better drama overall. The characterizations and relationships build gradually but deeply. Around episode 20 or so is a turning point. It's like the point where you have reached the top of the roller coaster ride, then all the stuff that happened in the first part of the drama really starts to come together and the rest of the drama goes so fast. When you get to around episode 30, all the drama and relationships have built up to the point that I just had to marvel at the storytelling. It's genius. I really felt the emotion under the surface of these characters that had to stay so reserved and careful so much of the time. My heart started breaking around this point because I felt the inevitable end coming. I never really feel like re-watching dramas, but I think I will re-watch this one just to visit these characters again and see if I can pick up details that I missed the first time around.

Hu Ge and Wang Kai are riveting as Mei Chang Su and Prince Jing. Their relationship is heartbreaking. Though there is romance in this drama, it takes a backseat to the camaraderie and deep friendships among the male characters.

This Drama is a jewel!!!!

Is really amazing mix between cast (of course handsome boys, good actriz ) , the enviroment (amazing scene beautiful castles, lakes, forest all of them with specific details) and story ( drama, romace, politics).

With each episode you will feel catcher, always I want to watched more and more ...Probably I watched this drama in 3 days, I was trapped since first episode I was interested in every character all of them have different personality and between them are complement.

The story is dramatic.... My heart was broken around 2 times, especially in last episodes.. I'm more romantic I want pink end but its ok.

Interaction between actors was incredible, natural situation, funny ; Hae Soo and all princes are such a family and at the same time they suffer a transformation ones good and other really bad , is interesting to realize that

However I want second season PLEASE!!!

Of course I recommend this drama you can cry with them and laugh with them (I did).

Very thoughtful depiction of a variety of couples. the writing really gets you to appreciate all the aspects of a relationship, even the bad ones. Thoughtful is a perfect depiction. And I was very happy to see a sensitive portrayal of a gay couple they addressed the societal issues that come with those and the other relationships in a beautiful, thought provoking way. As if that wasn't enough, it was a freaking hilarious show. I loved it so much, I thought about rewatching it when I was done and am considering buying it.

Few months I saw this film's trailer and since then I was waiting first for release and then for English subs. It was supposed to be a thriller and I really love thrillers and mystery plots. Now I can see on MyDramaList that it's changed for horror and after watching it I can say that it is a horror. A good one.

Story is simple. Husband is dead and son is missing. Wife and mother is claimed guilty and send to the prison. After 25 years she came back to house where tragedy happened and tries to find her son, who she thinks was caught by mysterious being hiding in basement.

You have no idea, if she's crazy, if she really kills her husband and what actually happened to her son...
Film, even though it's a horror, for me is a family drama, which shows how powerful is mother's love. You can feel her pain and desperation. It's really sad story with lots of plot twists and unexpected turns. For example, I needed to watch last scenes twice to fully understand it. Acting was really good, even young actors.

It may not be a masterpiece, but it's a film worth watching. Even for people, who don't really like horrors.
It has interesting plot and scenes that sometimes give you chills, good actors and nice music. And Taecyeon being a priest, the only person who actually believes old woman story...

Yoon Jin Li stole the show...her acting was flawless and convincing...she will tear your heart up. As for the two main characters, about half way into the series, their acting became too repetitve and too 'put on'. They were just going through the motions. The story line would have been good if it wasn't dragged out so long.

The writers should be fired...always same old tired lines ending with "bastard". The way the detectives waste time talking meaningless lines during a time that they should be rushing to save someone is sooo irritating, good grief!. Nothing positive to say about this drama. I think some of the other high reviewers must have been hit with the kettleball.

Most crime stories are more involved in investigation only. This is a bit unique.

Detective Kisaragi Toko of the Eleventh Section of Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division was instrumental in solving the case of Tremi, the serial murderer who shocked Japan.

Although one year has passed, the trauma she suffered at that time still strickens her. One day, a bizarre murder occurs in a room that has turned a deep red. Toko and Assistant Inspector Takano Hideaki proceed with the investigation based on clues left behind at the crime scene, but realise that they are being followed by a male stranger.

A quick review with pros and cons of why you should be or shouldn't be watching this show.

Pros:
- Good story, but nothing too extraordinary
- No over-the-top crazy witches
- Cute male lead
- Appropriate length, not too draggy
- Overall satisfying ending

Cons:
- Almost-love: Romance needed more screen time. Female lead meets male lead and takes an instant dislike to him. This is what I signed up for, a good old hate-to-love drama. However, this lakorn never took the romance to the level it ought to be. The love triangle and the rivalry between the two male leads as well had lots of drama potential yet weren't fully exploited. I almost shipped the main couple, almost.
- Plot is predictable and cliched, but what had you expected anyway?
- Female lead's acting is a bit dull, second female lead however played a tremendous role as the villain, could see why she did what she did and almost felt sorry for her in the end, however her character needed more layers.
- Couple of lakorn crazinesses here and there - other than that, quite an enjoyable watch!

This was such a cute romantic drama, it's full of misunderstandings "which is a must" for all Asian Dramas..

Slap Kiss
Crazy Ex
Mother In Laws
Misunderstandings
Another g / b having a crush on the same girl.
Jealousy
arranged marriages
fake marriages

I loved the secretary, his suits lol.. Colourful like Versace style :) I love the little brother Dong Goo, but even his half sister was not really looking after him, he was always with Hyun Tae, like Hyun Tae is his half brother or dad. Needless to say Dong Goo is the cutest little Actor.

Yoo Mi is ashamed of her mother, she was an erotic star (well I 'm watching a Thai Drama, main lady's mother was a prostitute mother is married to main guy's dad and the daughter is not ashamed of her mother, I don't know which is more acceptable, I think I'd feel the same if I was in Yoo Mi's shoes )

The problem with this drama was it was extremely slow, they don't get to anywhere. She's ashamed of her mother, her half brother..

When it comes to the cast Song Ji Eun is a perfect choice for Yoo Mi, as she looks innocent
Sung Hoon is and always be a perfect match for rich, handsome, casanova playboy looking but on the inside it's extremely the opposite chaebol.

Mother hhaah I can't find words to describe the mother Nam Gi Ae she is another actress that is a perfect fit for this type of mother. I believe I have seen her at least in the 6 of dramas I have watched in the last couple of years, maybe more..

I expected to see a little more of their love Jin Wook & Jin Eun, at least I wanted to see getting married but nay...

Until the Secretary meets the kitchen girl tbh I thought he's gay!!

ep 11-12-13 not worth of watching, if you wanna know how it ends although it is not gonna make you happy just watch ep 14 and that's it.

We have not seen why Jin Wook mother left we have not seen him taking Yoo Mi to his mother, or even both of them going to his mother's restaurant. We have not seen much of mother son time.

For a bit I thought Yo Mi's ma gonna flirt and hook Jin Wook's dad but I was wrong but if they made that way it way it'd be quite funny though.

The music was good.

I so wished that the lil bro was their secret love child but he's half bro :((

there are loads of incomplete things wish they make S02 for us.
