superestimado

very beautiful series (but not a BL)

i have seen this more times than i can remember and i will watch it a lot more. this series is so perfect from the acting, the music, the scenery to the story, the plot, and the ending. usually, i don't like things that go back and forth with time frames but this is not confusing at all - it's very easy to understand what time frame the series is in at that moment. so, don't worry about that when thinking about watching this. also, i am not someone who ever watches period dramas bcs i find them rather boring with all the talking but this was never really boring even when there's a lot of talking in one scene. so it has a good interesting script.

the acting between the two leads is spectacular. the only acting i didn't really like was from Jiang Cheng's and Yan Li's characters. But they still did a great job. so good acting overall. the music is also beautiful! i never pay attention to music in tv but i just have to really listen to the music in this series - it is so nice.

really, the only complaint i have about this series is the fact that it's not a BL like the novel is. BUT... if you really pay attention and understand the meaning of some things, there is a bit of queer-coding in this series. just nothing outright queer since it is a China-made series.

anyways, i recommend this series to bl and non-bl fans. it really is one of the best Chinese series of all time!

really fun

i really enjoyed this drama. the plot was simple yet engaging, and the unique elements including scenery, music, and vibes made it a really fun watch. i enjoyed the scenic shots all throughout, and the cast was also so great, the main leads have a lot of chemistry. being a south asian individual myself, it was nice to see some rep in the little anecdotes regarding India, especially lassi cus I love mango lassi lol

also just read into it and this webdrama was titled "a ticket to india" because the story was originally set in India and the production team was planning on flying out there to film. They had already released the title and plot and such when they were collecting funds for the project, and they even reached their target fund amount. But alas, COVID hit, and they could no longer fly out to India.

Thus, they opted to film on Jeju island, incorporating elements of Indian culture to still stay somewhat on theme. From what I read online, it looks like the team instead stated that they are planning a s2 where they will actually fly out to India, to compensate for not being able to film s1 abroad.

I personally really enjoyed the first season a lot, it was really cute. Would love to see a S2, whether it takes place in India or not, I am SAT.

About the story

Well Love on Lo is a typical seaside rom-com. About the story it's very common and typical not so special about it but I love the aesthetics that they used.

About the acting it must be improved ( I mean everyone ) and I noticed that the girl in the resort and the boss are overacting and fo the couple their acting and their facial expressions must be improved.
Well this is moreover like a commercial for the resort and in the end they still called each other friends, and the ending of the story is rushed I man the whole story is rushed. They could've add a few more episodes and make it a bit longer so it won't me so confusing for the viewers.

About the rating I liked their OST it's really good and hype. Story and the acting must be improved and the rewatch value I don't think that thee is something to rewatch. Overall the series is not that bad but this isn't a must watch series and I'm not reccomending it to watch. It's your choice whether you're gonna watch it or not.

Worth Watching!

This movie is a real emotional rollercoaster! The main actors totally own their roles, giving it their all. Even though the story kinda feels like something you've seen before, these leads bring some serious freshness to the table. Their on-screen chemistry is so real; you can't help but get invested in their characters.

Yeah, the plot might have a déjà vu vibe, but the way these leads handle it is on another level. It's like they take the familiar and make it totally their own. You end up feeling like you're right there with them, going through all the ups and downs.

Props to the leads for not just acting but genuinely making you feel something. The direction is spot-on, too – the pacing keeps you hooked, and you're in for a ride from the get-go. This isn't just another movie; it's like these leads invite you into their world, making you part of the story.

In a nutshell, yeah, you might think, "I've seen this kind of story," but trust me, the leads make it a whole new experience. It's like they turn the familiar into something unexpectedly awesome, leaving you thinking about it long after it's over.

What was with that Ending!

This drama truly stirred my emotions from start to finish; I found myself with a racing heart and tears streaming down my face by the end. Liu Yuning's performance was exceptional, and I can't imagine anyone else in the role. I recently came across a video suggesting that Wallace Huo might have replaced him through an AI face switch, and I sincerely hope that's not the case. My growing discomfort with Artificial Intelligence applications has led me to believe that this technology poses a threat to our world. I fear it will foster laziness and have a detrimental impact on humanity. On a brighter note, I must commend Liu Yuning for not only his captivating deep voice but also his remarkable musical abilities. I'm unsure if he has undergone martial arts training, but if those action scenes are a result of his acting skills, they certainly appear authentic.

I loved the strong woman part, played by Liu Shi Shi (great name) I hope to view more of her work. I can imagine all the wires she had to go through to play this part, flying in the air and all the twists and turns. She is a 10-star actress for me.

The Martial Arts Scenes: I loved how they paused the camera to show their poses in the fight scenes. I wish all dramas did this.

Update: Wallace Huo did NOT replace him. It was a hoax.

Off the Rails Before the Story Could Gain Traction

Nice science fiction setup about parallel universes. The wealthy FL is transported to the past after following the advice of an acquaintance who assures her if she arrives at a specific location at a specific time she’ll find her missing friend. Speeding to that location in an effort to meet the deadline she ends of careening off a bridge into the water and traveling to an alternate universe that ends up being the year 2018.

Sounds exciting right? Yes! Unfortunately this is where the excitement ends. The FL struggles to understand what is going on and immediately discovers the life she previously had doesn’t exist in this version of 2018. She gets some help from a stranger who gives her shelter for the night then she meets the ML who proceeds to help her while also stalking her. The first four episodes is literally her finding a job and the ML following her around town because of course she’s some woman, likely a love interest from his past, whom he must look out for. There is nothing more about the sci-fi of the story. If a viewer didn’t know any better this would be another boring romance drama.

Such a shame because I like the actors in this and the premise has promise, but the show seemed to have abandoned that premise for the mundane day to day life of the FL and her inevitable romance with the ML.

VERY POOR ENDING

Honestly I feel like the overall story was good and all but for me the ending felt way too rushed, and it especially felt like it was just an idea that they came up with out of nowhere. ? I really liked the beginning, the characters did very good at acting but it for a bit more sloppy near the ending. All those hints about the ghosts and everything just for it to just be about a video game? And it made no sense as to why the parents put the blame on the students when it clearly wasn't all their faults, they should've looked after their own kid. Anyways I would probably be looking forward to a Season 2 of this :).

Innocent and even carrying some lessons

One of the regular sport drama premises: there is a psychological wall that keeps the lead from progressing in their performance. Then another lead shows up and instigates the change.

Thank God this drama fulfilled the premise. The shorter lead, the instigator really gave this drama memorable quality despite the plot being short and having holes. He was cast well.

Also, I liked how naturally their relationship developed. I trusted their relationship which speaks to the skill of actors.

I do miss something, not sure what. Nothing explicit in here, but it was not as missed. As some other reviewers mentioned it was obvious that something was brewing. Spice could have been added but it is fine like this too. I wished they developed more the backstory but then I am not sure how it would have added anything.

Simply said, they chose a specific sized and shaped glass and filled it to its brim. Whether it is the best glass for the beverage ?‍♀️

Continuing my inability to remember their names the taller lead showcased maturity in his behavior and decisions. The shorter lead was very charming, expressive and charismatic. Even though the taller one is more my type physically the shorter one really mesmerized me with his performance. Showcase how masculine and feminine qualities are not reserved for particular physical characteristics.

All in all -- Wonderful acting. Both leads had different personalities that helped each other to change and grow. And the thing uniting them was shooting.

I am happily ending my day, satisfied that I cleansed my eyes from the disaster that another show caused.

Oh well, life.

A quick watch, nothing complex or tiring but will leave you with a feeling of lightness. I watched it while studying. Not a regret because it is one of the feel good typa drama. Also picked up a wonderful lesson:

You can endure your hardship by focusing on the end-goal, simply imagine something that makes you happy in your head.

Very true (and needed reminder).

Thanks for reading.

too much suffering

the amount of disgrace that the characters of this series had to go through was too much.

I had to take saveral breaks before finishing this season. I thought of dropping it several times.

If only half of it have happened to them would have been more enjoyable and believable as a story.

I mean two memory losses! come on!

I’m only giving 7 because I really enjoyed the first season. I wished they just had eloped than.

if you like to see a lot of suffering this series is for you.

Terrible

This was a really bad movie. Depressing, confusing, slow. As much as I LOVE IU, not even she could save this movie. Just my opinion, but I couldn’t wait for it to end, and I still don’t even know what it was about.

A really enjoyable movie!

If you like dinosaur movies like I do then you should enjoy this movie like I did. Yes it has the odd cringe moments like when people get attacked or killed the others either go towards the danger or they just stand there for what seems like an eternity when they should be running for their lives, but most if not all of these type of monster movies seem to have the same in them where you tend to find yourself yelling at the screen ‘run, why are you just standing there, run’!

Good plot/storyline & the acting was also good. I really liked the ML who played Wu Yingxiong & even though I’m sure I’ve seen in him in other movies, if it’s correct according to Google translate, his name in the end credits is Li Ning but I can’t find any info about him on here or anywhere else online which is really bugging me because I would like to watch any other movies/drama’s he’s done.

The plot is more or less the usual as some other dinosaur movies. Dinosaurs living/surviving on an Island until humans arrive & all goes to hell! This movie had a few twist & turns & a proper ending, no scenes through or at the end of the movie credits like some movies do leaving it open to a possible sequel.

The CGI dinosaurs were excellent & believable & of course the movie wouldn’t be complete without a baddie or two being involved.

I gave a low score on music because there isn't really any music in this movie only bits/sounds for the dramatic effects.

Overall a really enjoyable movie that Ive added to my favourites list as I would happily watch it again like I have many other good dinosaur/monster movies.

Hidden gem

I LOVEDDDD this short drama. At first I dropped it because each episode was only 4ish mins and I hadn't discovered just how amazing short drama's can be. But I found it again in the recommendation list of another drama and saw my "too short" note and decided to give it another chance. I started watching it on youtube and the subtitled were weirdly malfunctioning, so I watched it on the actual WeTV site with subs and it was AMAZINGGGGGG. I found myself giggling at the chemistry of the two leads. While the chemistry wasn't very well developed due to the length, It was still an amazing watch. Im glad that I picked it up again.

Short and Bittersweet

Definitely deserves high praise. Not only for the cute story and beautiful actresses, but because of the visuals, how it made me feel. In such little time, I enjoyed the characters and I cared about their relationship. It made me wanna cry, made my heart fly, and my belly flop. Trying to find gold gem GL movies/tv shows. I will be adding this one to one of my lists, since i will have many list. From good to bad, from sad and all. Truly a great short film. Only fault I have is that it's too short! ❤️

A Rebellion, A Monster and a Weak Love Story

A mission to find a government official’s side piece leads down a rabbit hole of horrific human experiments, a rebellion against the Japanese occupation and of course love.

I generally liked the leads in this but am on the fence about whether PSJ was the right actor for the ML role. He wasn’t bad in the role but I think there are other actors out there who could’ve really owned the part. His acting is good but I don’t think he’s the embodiment of who Jang Tae-sang should be.

The monster being created by the Japanese was a creative way of referencing the history of the experiments they conducted on Koreans during the war and its horribke impact on those individuals. However, how the monster worked within the story wasn’t always consistent. Some managed to fight off the monster and escape its attack unscathed while others were completely eviscerated by it. This was driven more by plot than logic. Same with the anthrax attacks.

The action on this show was pretty good, but what engaged me the most was the human stories of those impacted by the war and the Japanese occupation as well as those working in the rebellion in an attempt to fight back.

The implied feelings developing between the leads was not believable because they have no romantic chemistry and the development of those feelings was random. Having the ML join the rebellion due to his feelings for the FL made no sense for the previously mentioned reasons. There was more than enough going on in his life to drive his change of heart without the FL being the reason.

The production value was superb, save for the CGI of the monster which was hit or miss. The episodes were a little too long, but overall the acting was good and the show entertaining.
