Reincarnation & Spells

Everything was so average here with the exception of high production value as it was to be expected.

A tragic forbidden love story between a shaman girl and an aristocrat's son, replays when both are reincarnated 300 years later.

The drama meanders between comedy, romance, tragedy and thriller. The characters were interesting. Rowoon in particular since he went from rigid and too serious lawyer to a funny man in love who believed himself to be under a love spell so he explained repeatedly the symptoms of love. Hilarious. The female lead was the usual K drama heroine: tough, kind and brave in the beginning but loosing every braincell after falling in love and giving us a string of bad decisions and ridiculous actions.

Most of the support characters were the comedy part: her work colleagues were the usual gossiping lot, more annoying than funny and his parents bickering. Then there were the "bad guys" his girlfriend and a gardener. They were the most underdevelopped characters because their motivations for being evil was never really explained. Why was the girlfriend, rich and pretty, so jealous of our FL, poor and stubborn? Why was the gardener so obsessed with the FL, so much so he wanted to have a soul wedding and kill her (what is all that about?)? I liked the second ML, whose character was never really clear: was he honest or power hungry?

What about spells? We never learned if they really worked? They did 300 years ago but not today? And the curse he was put upon apparently disappeared when he died and was brought back! Why? The previous sufferers from the curse also died but the curse remained.

Plotholes galore!

But in spite of that, it was a nice watch, nice cinematography, basic story, correct acting. Just that Rowoon is too tall, so when he puts his head of her shoulders, he looks ridiculous!

A Touching Race Towards Triumph (With Enough Tissues for the Finish Line)

Dude, I wasn't expecting to cry so much at a movie about running. "Marathon" isn't just about some guy pounding the pavement for 26 miles (though props to him, that's crazy). It's about a mom who won't give up on her autistic son, and a son who finds his voice through the rhythm of his feet.

Kim Mi-sook as the mom? She's a powerhouse. Seriously, you can practically feel her love and determination radiating off the screen. She's like a lioness protecting her cub, pushing Cho-won to keep going even when it seems impossible. And Jae-hyun Cho as Cho-won? Talk about nailing the subtleties of autism. He captured all the anxiety, the quirks, the bursts of joy, and made me want to give him a giant hug (not in a creepy way, promise!).

The film might not be a breakneck thrill ride, but it's a slow burn that gets you right in the feels. Sure, the plot wasn't exactly a mind-bender. You kind of know where it's going. But honestly, who cares? The journey is so well-told, the characters so endearing, that you just get swept up in their story. You root for Cho-won, you celebrate his victories, and you empathize with his struggles.

P.S. Don't worry, there's enough running footage to satisfy any sports fan. And the music? Goosebumps-inducing good. So yeah, go watch "Marathon" already! You won't regret it.

..YUYI~!!..

..I am a fan of Nanao as one of the fashion icon in her drama, I do love the most is the casting which is a hype one, that anyone might watch this..
.
..the story is sort of uniquez reviving the iga and koga clan just like the anime basilisk but a slice of life version..
.
..i love somehow the effort of putting a comedic scene and lines having an almost an hour per episode - not a bored one to watch..
.
..even the drama part and a pinch of love scene - since this is all about two people getting married without knowing their clan origin but latet reveal that for me the climax and highlight of the story - living the two clans in present time..
.
..overall the drama is more serious but still put a funny scene to feel other emotion of this drama..
.
..I do love the end, that was unexpected for me and yet it's not impossible that the two main casts will never meet - the first time they meet is a flashback of the last seconds of the last episode..

46 Days - A Delightful Thai Comedy Drama with Baifern Pimchanok and Mild Lapassalan

Introduction:
"46 Days" emerges as a compelling Thai drama, featuring the notable actresses Baifern Pimchanok and Mild Lapassalan in a refreshing comedy romance. For those seeking a light-hearted series with a touch of drama, this show stands out, placing a spotlight on the enduring bond between two best friends amidst the complexities of love and relationships.

Plot Overview:
At its core, "46 Days" revolves around the lives of childhood best friends, Ying Ying and Noina, each with distinct beliefs and personalities. The former, portrayed by Baifern Pimchanok, is a career-focused blogger, while Mild Lapassalan embodies the latter, a romantic at heart longing for the perfect partner. The narrative takes an unexpected turn with the introduction of Korn, a kind-hearted doctor with a penchant for following his parents' wishes. As Noina, influenced by a fortune teller's false prediction, sets her sights on Korn—already engaged to Wisa, another actress/blogger—Ying Ying steps into action. With 46 days until Korn's impending wedding, Ying Ying endeavors to play matchmaker and convince him to call off the engagement, leading to a series of comedic events.

Highlight - Unveiling of True Feelings:
The series culminates in a poignant revelation during the final episode. While the twist of Korn's true feelings being for Ying Ying may be considered somewhat cliché, the execution by the director and writer adds a layer of emotion and depth to the storyline. It serves as a satisfying resolution to the intricate web of relationships woven throughout the drama.

Character Analysis:

Ying Ying (Baifern Pimchanok): Baifern Pimchanok's portrayal of Ying Ying is a standout performance. The character is depicted as a woman with a robust personality, fiercely protective of Noina. Beyond her role as a matchmaker, Ying Ying grapples with personal challenges, showcasing a multi-dimensional character with a remarkable depth of emotion.

Noina (Mild Lapassalan): Mild Lapassalan brings Noina to life with a nuanced performance. Noina, a character with a bubbly exterior and a desire for love, undergoes significant development. Her initial portrayal as an attention-seeker evolves into a more complex character, driven by insecurities and a longing for the kind of affection her best friend receives.

Korn (Nonkul Channon): Nonkul Channon's portrayal of Korn is noteworthy, even though the character might appear slightly overshadowed by the strong presence of the female leads. Moments of confrontation with his parents offer glimpses into Korn's internal struggles, showcasing Channon's acting capabilities.

Acting and Music:
The chemistry between Baifern Pimchanok and Mild Lapassalan is a highlight, particularly during emotionally charged scenes and moments of conflict. While Nonkul Channon's performance may be perceived as slightly reserved, this could be attributed to the narrative's emphasis on the female leads. The lively and enjoyable music complements the overall tone of the drama, enhancing its entertainment value.

Conclusion:
"46 Days" successfully navigates the delicate balance between comedy and drama, presenting a well-paced plot that avoids unnecessary complications. Baifern Pimchanok and Mild Lapassalan's stellar performances elevate the series, making it a compelling watch. Despite minor nuances, the director and writer skillfully craft a narrative that revolves around the enduring sisterly bond, making "46 Days" a highly recommended addition to the world of Thai dramas.

You'll need a box full of tissues!

If you like sad ending than it's a must watch! I was totally addicted to it. The story is more like bromance. At the end I felt like their family was my own family. I cried like crazy after finishing it. Everything was perfect.

The cast was so good! And Wu Bi is the perfect boyfriend ? He'd die and kill for his loved one's. Su yu is also great!

If you're looking for something intimate, then it's not a good choice! It has nothing intimate. It's the best beginner friendly bl! The only thing I didn't like about this story was a bit of miss communication.

Couldn't meet my expectation.

At the begging, I loved it. But day by day it got boring! I used to wait impatiently for next episode. But after 8/9 episode I lost interest. I couldn't convince myself to watch the last episode! Dropped at 11th episode!

It surely has a different story line, not typical! If you're into time travel than you can watch it! You'll also get a little touch of "Age-Gap" trope! It has some sadness too...

Actors did a great job! I loved young Ongsa. Suansoon was kinda weird tho ? One is expressive and another is introvert! Their chemistry was good!

Love - CURSE or FATE ?

This review also contains the thoughts I had while watching since they were too precious to be removed !

Synopsis-
Story revolves around cupid who gets shot by his own arrow and the question that follows is ....will there be a chance for him at love ? Is this finally the end of all the lonely wandering .?
Cha Sang Hyuk or we may call cupid burns his wings after a fateful encounter and ever since then opening up to someone meant death of the person. With a heavy burden to carry he somehow manages till the time of his last metamorphosis ....but "LOVE" has other plans.
Cupid crosses path with Baek Ryun who has never had a shot at love - no strings of fate attached, a girl who falls for cupid himself ....will these star crossed lovers have a happily ever after ?

-- You can pick this up if you are in the mood of a Typical Kdrama with cliches pretty faces , gorgeous scenes and a serial killer background story, this makes a good Fantasy tale ! - do not have high expectations from any segment development and you'll have a good time !

Acting -
I expected so much more from Nana - like she does the comedic relief well enough for me to say she's a good actor but the scenes with emotional depth ..girl lift up your game pls - she did not ,sorry but you are too good for this mediocre acting in the portrayal of someone with zero survival skills lol !
Cupid - Jang dong yoon - IDK why people are saying he's not doing a good job ...or that he has a straight face all the time ...he's not yet at the point of flexing his emotions ...he needs to have a cover ...IDK but I really enjoy myself seeing him on screen to me he's doing quite a good job imo...
SML - I like him - tbh more than the acting I like his perspective towards FL ...that she's cool more than just being attracted to her beauty !
He's doing a great job but I don't feel Second lead syndrome just yet ....so it's cupid and nana ship ❤️ which I very much hope sails !

MY PERSPECTIVE - MILD SPOILERS (will avoid direct ones) --
To some FL's character seems desperate and childish - to me it's more like it's her very first shot at love, seeing the people you wished have the best of everything ,get hurt bec they are with you is really heartbreaking after that if she clings on to someone who doesn't , that's not very pathetic ...it's more human to me ! wanting the person all for herself and getting a bit jealous it's okay to me ...reasonable but debatable at the same time! tho I do not find it annoying !

I love the fact that she was given choices and she chose to fall for ML and not really bec he was able to live bec at the back of mind she always knew that someone would pop up on the 1000th time and she wanted it to be ML she prayed for him means she knew she had a choice. I really like that point.

I don't know why the god of fate (I assume )- is being such a meanie ...like come on lift that shot from ML if you can why just appear randomly and go - I won't set you up with anyone ...we already know that ...just leave cuz you annoying me ! or else atleast tell me what's the metamorphosis criteria ? when does it happen ? what are the rules ? and why are the other 3 being punished? why is that fairy converting into dog now and then ....tho it's kinda funny to me but yeah i have questions ...i can't just do with - I won't set you up ! (bec i know you will lol ) - and most annoyingly that's all we had to settle for !

Also I don't get why FL is being punished ...like cupid shot the arrow what did she do ? - except for being drunk all the time !
also what's with her acting all so brave - to me it's like so so dumb ...just hand out a message there are 2 people literally running all around to protect you and you just go around being ...no imma go alone ...like wth ?

The surgery scene was so not done well ...like don't they cut hairs or something before the surgery ? I am not a med student but I just thought that they do ...(ignore if I am dumb )

the second half has been a bit of disappointment with that dumb surgery, too much screen time for dumb side characters (yep i hate them ) and more than that I don't care what happens to them. EP 11 and still that side character fairy is making a fool outta himself and been given so much screen time ...aaahhhh !

My guesses - The other three fairies are allowed to date because they didn't shoot themselves like they did not have a cupid arrow. Now if the cupid's arrow was directed to himself bec of someone else it could be a punishment for maybe trying to set someone up who does not have a string of fate. - one of these was wrong and I seem to hate their explanation that it was just some random kid god fooling around for no reason. - I still don't know anything about metamorphosis and their past life memories are coming back without an explanation on top of everything is extremely annoying !
-- i feel sorry for myself for expecting so much from this show !

finally some development still they are hung up upon that dumb side character fairy but i liked this ep it had a scene where they show us not everyone can burn wings and they have finally mentioned metamorphosis tho I still don't know why he has to suffer that but okay atleast they talk about it ...now it's more like I have started to look for positives and I am enjoying less than I previously did !
-0.5 to reach 7 ! lets hope for a good season finale !

The season finale was a good closure with a lot of character development for everyone !! - including the god of fate lol
The mystery definitely fell flat, but then this isn't a police procedural anyway. I wanted to have some endings for the other fairies too. In the end, they played it a bit too much to the FL's remembering about past lives.
And why the fu*k did they not bother explaining any fairy insights like metamorphosis, dog conversion - does the writer think all the viewers are fairies ...awww that's too cute to be REAL !
-------------------------------------------------------

also for the people who are like ...there's a serial killer on the loose ....guys chill sit back it's not a thriller ...so they won't be going around all the time finding the killer ...like pls pls ...RELAX ! - also you must suffer from amnesia if you can't remember these things are common.!
PS. the crime part overstayed its welcome (by a lot).

Conclusion -
I am enjoying myself and I absolutely like to spend my time around dramas like this ....so yeah I would suggest you pick this up if in the mood for a light watch ! Fantasy with adorable leads and amazing cinematography are a must watch aren't they !

will edit once i've completed the show - till then
Let me enjoy these cuties on my screen ! and you guy's breathe !

This one didn't rise well

Bake Me Please is a rather watchable BL. It could even have been quite good for those who do not mind predictable stories. However, certain weaknesses in plot development affected the characterization.

Shin is a baker in a bakery he has started with his friends, Oab and Guy. One might wonder how he even had friends to begin with because of his cold demeanor, but we can overlook this. Oab's mother makes his brother, Atom, join the bakery, and Atom in turn pulls his friend, Peach in. As you might guess, Shin and Peach fall in love.

The story doesn't quite impress with originality, but to its credit, it doesn't. It can be a fairly good run-of-the-mill BL. Unfortunately, some flaws do compromise the watching experience. Some parts lack coherence in somewhat bearable ways. Peach's grandmother has been clearly open to Peach and Shin having a relationship, but Peach behaves as though he is surprised when his grandmother is totally fine with it when Shin announces that they are dating.

The worst moments in the series are the rather forced turns in the behaviors of the characters to fit rather forced turns in the plot. The first of these turns is when Guy quits to join another bakery, tired of playing second fiddle to Shin all the time and probably because he is jealous that his crush, Peach, is a couple with Shin. Guy is a fundamentally good person, so it is odd that there is no sign of hesitation or struggle when he does some of the less than honorable stuff he does. Then there is Shin's behavior. Although he is socially inept and even harsh with his words, he is not an unreasonable person, especially after meeting Peach. However, he refuses to let Peach continue his friendship with Guy and breaks up with Peach simply because Peach goes for dinner with Guy. The poor plot development mars the characterization as well.

I think the writers should have opted for the feel-good factor throughout by developing the plot in a different direction. The story does end pleasantly, which salvages things somewhat.

Review

I havent watched season 1 yet but I get the gist of it already. I like the story. I also like the FL putrang or Og Karaked, she is strong and independent . The ML rid is cute too. I like the story. If there's one thing i dont like, it's how cowardly ML rid is. He basically let history repeat again by not fighting for Fl hand in marriage against the king? Like I thought, u wont let go of her? But all the ML says is destiny here and that. The Ml was more scared of the king than losing her. He was okay with losing her forever. What a wuss! She stayed to marry you but ML offered her to the king lol
I think rueng death is unnecessary. The king was annoying at ep 24-26

“How you feel right now is not important. How you felt when it happened is.” – Woo Young Woo

This KDrama was absolutely amazing. Some people might say, "Oh, this is reaaaaaaaally overhyped," or some people might say "This is filled with stereotypes!" Yes, it might be filled with those kinds of things, but the true beauty of this show is showing how people, no matter what happens, they can prevail. This KDrama attracted me because of how beautifully Woo Young Woo was presented. She was presented as someone who seems dumb and doesn't know what they're doing, but in the inside, she knows what she's doing and how to do it. P.S.: It has been a while since I have watched this KDrama, but I wrote this review because I wanted to share what I love about this KDrama!

Story: It was great! This might be a really ordinary script and filled with many misinterpretations about people with autism, but I loved how the story played out. The law cases were fairly interesting, and it was mainly about civil cases. Nothing too much about criminal cases, so it's a bit lighthearted. Since it's lighthearted, there aren't many intense scenes if you compare it to "Vincenzo" for example.

Acting: OMGGG, Park Eun-bin was so good in this KDrama. Personally, I haven't really met people irl with autism, so I can't make a good judgment about her portrayal of people with autism; BUT, she did a great job in showing her emotions. Kang Tae-oh did a phenomenal job portraying Lee Joon-ho, and he did well in helping Woo Young Woo with her cases and caring for her too. Kang Ki-young, you did absolutely phenomenal too. I watched Kang Ki-young in different KDramas like "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo" and "Bring It On, Ghost!". He did absolutely amazing in those KDramas and in this one too! All the other cast members were new faces, but I saw a few of them in recently aired KDramas like "See You In My 19th Life" and cameo scenes like 'Dr. Romantic 3". Can't wait to see more from them!

Music: Didn't really listen to the music much, so you can disregard this rating if you would like to.

Rewatch Value: I have rewatched this KDrama so many times it's honestly unbelievable how many times I've watched it. I stopped rewatching it now, but it's a comfort KDrama that I like to return to every once in a while.

You should definitely watch this KDrama though! P.S. (again): I do not mean to offend ANYONE while writing this review. This review is purely based on my views on this KDrama and from reading other people's reviews! I do not hate on anyone's opinions at all, your opinion is your opinion. I do SINCERELY apologize if this review seems offensive or hateful in any method, way, shape, or form. I do not have any knowledge of characteristics of people with autism because I view everybody as equal, no matter race, color, specialties, etc. All of y'all are loved, and I hope you all enjoy your day/night wherever you are! <3

Confused...

I was really hoping to love this...and I do for some aspects...the couples are adorable and the head of KJ Agency, Araya is STUNNING...but the ending had me sitting there asking myself if I missed something...are there going to be more episodes? Is there a secret season 2 that we know nothing about yet? I certainly hope so because the ending was so unfinished. I really enjoyed the music, the acting was actually pretty good, and the most important part...the story...it had a good beginning but it really went down hill. I really wish I could say I recommend to watch but...I'd say pass on this one. It is more frustrating than it is worth.

I don't think this is a bad drama as what others think. The drama is pretty solid with it's theme and also how it portrayed it's leads. The drama did get boring at the latter parts, since the climax part did not really have that impact that it suppose to give. As I get to the episodes one by one, I came to appreciate the drama and how it unfolds. I also appreciate that they wanted the characters to have a proper ending, almost significant character in the drama is given the spotlight in the end. One downside of the drama for me is the downfall of the excitement or the interest of the drama.
I like the main leads, their acting is great for me as a watcher. The chemistry is also there. I also like the OST. I think this is a pretty decent drama, and I would still recommend this one.

The Progress of Falling in Love aka The First Love

I didn't read the synopsis and I thought Nanon was the one chasing his senior until I watched the first episode and it was other way around.

The story is really simple and cute. Belle one of the most beautiful senior of school always get every guy she wants to have but this time she failed to do so because of S, her junior. Breaking up with her ex boyfriend, he gives Belle a challenge to win over S and if Belle could do so in a year he will stop approaching Belle. Accepting the challenge Belle and her two best friends do many crazy things to make S fall in love with Belle but S is someone who doesn't even want to know what love actually feels like. When Belle actually falls in love with S, she stop approaching him. But at that time S has fallen in love with Belle.

This is pretty much the whole story with some additional plot twists. The interactions between Belle and S was actually really cute and sweet. Friendship of Belle and her friends were genuine. Overall it was a tennage love story with the same elements but still it seems fresh. It wasn't cliche at all, they didn't try to act mature rather their age.

Supporting characters were good and everyone did a great job in acting. Taewin stole some spotlight for me. This guy seemed timid at first but not only he is intelligent but also learnt about love real quick. It was fun to see him whenever he appeared on screen.

Let's talk about Nanon, he was only 16 years old and it was one his early roles as a main lead. He was good at acting even though he was so young. Isn't it a slap to the people who defend their favourite actors acting skills saying it's their early roles and they will get better later. Nanon did justice to his acting and show the true feelings that how a nerd tennage boy actually falls in love. Thanaerng was always good in her every roles and she did a pretty good job in here too.

There might a reason why people would hesitate to watch this, because it's a 2016 drama, but it doesn't feel like old and cliche drama.

And it has Nanon in it, young cute Nanon who would miss it!

Now thats how you do a romcom!

Walking into this show was like taking a breath of fresh air and feeling that nice sensation in your body knowing you're in for a treat. From the start, the comedy always found a perfect beat and rarely got congested or cringe. They perfectly blended romance and comedy and made sure to balance them out. This show is so wholesome and feels genuine. The creators and actors made this feel like a love letter to BL. Giving us an inside look on the production and daily lives of these actors playing as actors made it feel like we're also apart of it, just watching behind the scenes. They put a lot of care into this and its very evident in how well they developed this series. It's a shame that it was so short, but they have potential in continuing this story. Though, this ending was satisfying enough. Overall, good pacing, and great acting. Very fun and uplifting. Definitely give this a watch, as for I will be returning to this drama often!

Zero Plot, Just Cooking and Singing

Let’s be honest, there is no plot to this 32 episode series. Guy meets girl. They fall in love. They SLOWLY get to their first kiss. Everyone stares at them with adoration. They stare at each other. The end.

This is more of a - let’s just show a lot of good Chinese culture. Chinese dishes, Chinese clothes, Chinese music, Chinese tourist attractions. Bring in some good looking people, have them eat together and make it 32 hours.

This huge cast of actors did absolutely NOTHING. How much teasing can they give the main couple? How long must the FL act 12 and shy every single time she’s with her boyfriend? What about the side couples? They literally moved slower than a grandpa with broken hips. All the side couples got together in the last 15 mins. They have the main couple way way way too much screen time doing nothing but act cute. I wouldn’t mind if they actually showed some sort of character growth or storyline. If they made it just 12-16 episodes, it would’ve been short and sweet. But y’all.. 32 episodes?! What’s crazier is that I actually made it to the end. I mostly skipped by episode 25.
