The worst drama I've seen in a long time.

Luke is the absolute worst ml I've ever watched. Flora obviously has no self respect either. How can 2 ADULTS have miscommunication as a problem between them?? I only got through 1 episode and I could tell this would be a rubbish drama. Luke was always insulting Flora for no damn reason, Flora can't even speak or stand up for herself to save her life, and you're telling me they actually got into a relationship??? Puh-lease.
Luke isn't even a red flag, or a grey flag... he is a black flag. I've never seen anyone so verbally abusive before. There is nothing he could've said or done for me (if I were Flora) for me to date him or take him back. Sorry I'm not sorry.
The best ending would've been for Flora to find someone who actually appreciates and loves her and leave Luke to be all alone since that's what he actually wanted.

"Simple Office Rom-Com Drama"

My Bias, My Boss is a simple and breezy office rom-com that is easy to watch and enjoy.

The idol-related storyline is handled well and fits naturally into the overall plot.

Kang Hoon as Kang Ha-gi, Kim Ye-jun as Nam Da-reum, and Cha Woo-min as Lee Chan all deliver good performances.

The chemistry between the leads works really well and makes the romantic moments enjoyable.

The funny sequences add a lot of charm and keep the drama light and entertaining.

The story stays engaging without becoming unnecessarily complicated or dragged out.

Overall, everything works nicely, and the happy ending makes it a satisfying rom-com experience. ⭐

The worst modern cdrama I’ve ever seen!

Most watchers are saying it's realistic but personally all I saw was romanticising toxic relationships. This drama was simultaneously mega boring and rage bait frustrating me, with the only redeeming quality being Jing Boran’s face card and Liu Yuning singing the opening. I don't even know why I made it to the end.

The male lead is the epitome of the reason why the korean 4B movement was created. Since the start, he showed misogynistic behaviour, undervaluing her, literally insulting her every time he was insecure and jealous. But it’s ok we should root for him because hE LoVes hER, because he hasn’t been loved, doesn’t know how to love etc. And after 6 years, 21 episodes, she leaves him and he FINALLY realises all his mistakes and magically will fix his behaviour. Sure buddy. That’s definitely how it works in real life.

The female lead is equally unlikable. Accepting and forgiving every insult and mistreatment from the male lead because sHe LoVes hIm. After 6 years, 21 episodes realises all of her problems would have been fixed if she simply left the damn job or OPENED her mouth and explained her pain.

The biggest issue for me was not even the never ending 20 episode cycle of toxicity, misunderstanding and miscommunication. But the fact that I couldn’t root for them because I never believed in their “love”. How did they fall in love exactly?? Their whole relationship was built on physical attraction and sex. These people had barely any personality, no hobbies, or deep conversations. It was just work - sex - work etc.

The only conclusion of this drama that would have worked for me was if the leads never got together in the end. Then it would have been a good message especially to the younger audience. People might complain about unrealistic green flags in modern cdramas but at least in these we are shown a healthy relationship built on kindness, respect and true love. This drama didn’t even feel chinese, none of the chinese magic was there for me.

Great show but frustrating writing! The FL storyline is making me crazy

Ok, I know there are a lot of people hating on Luke. But this about the FL and the character that is written for her. She is excellent in the role, but this is hitting so many buttons for me after 25 years working in advertising and production. Maybe it's a cultural difference. I scratched and clawed my way through college working two jobs at a time and thankfully my first job was an advertising agency in Dallas. I made peanuts the first few years and I worked long hours and weekends to move up in the company. I fought like hell to finally become a producer and I loved my job. Even with frustrating clients, non-stop travel, and creatives with Egos too big to handle I still had a blast! I never dated at work though I flirted a lot and I did date vendors. I won an "unsung hero award" which really meant my salary was way too low and I worked too many hours....During this time period I ended a 7-year relationship just six months after my father died and the one and only thing that kept me going was my job and the many close friends I had at work. Don't get me wrong, I had been the subject of gossip (she slept with the CEO to get her job - wrong and laughable) and many other nasty things that women usually spread about other women. And since I was not guilty of any of these, I can only imagine how bad the fallout would be if these rumors had been real. So my point is this show is pushing all my buttons, making me feel all the feels, and bringing up strong memories of a breakup and then burying myself in work. So that's why I wanted to scream when Flora threw her dream job away because of a relationship and work politics. ARRRGGGG! After fighting tooth and nail to get a job she loved the writers had her become a total coward and walk away from the one thing that may have saved her dreams. I'm sure they will say her missing her friend caused a reset, but I am just so frustrated with any person who would give up something they fought so hard for. I'm sure they'll show how great her life is in last few episodes, but I am doubtful of a happy ending. The show is very well done, but maybe the writers need to re-think the choices their FL is making as a supposedly "strong character." Because without a doubt she is running away. I'm still enjoying the show just didn't know I'd be crying over past breakups and wanting to throw something at the TV when Flora didn't push back on the agency she loves to get better treatment. I spent 12 years at my agency and it took a lot not to be treated like a door mat. But the agency launched my successful career as a freelance producer and IF I had run away I would have missed out on so many amazing experiences and people. I admit this hits a little too close to home for me so I can't be objective. And I love the ML, though I find him to be what I consider a typical male in high places. Lashing out when hurt or angry because it's too hard and scary to be open and honest. At least he doesn't drink as much as all the Ad folks I worked with - myself included. And why in the hell did Flora not tell him about losing her best friend??? No wonder these two can't get on the same page. Sorry for the long rant! Overall it's good show just maybe a little tough for me to watch at times.

The Angsty Romance That Almost Was

so let me just put it out there. my two cents.

The good?
- The Acting. So good. Talk about a stellar cast. The FL, ML, Side Characters... everyone was AMAZING in their roles.
- The Room Mates. Seriously. If this drama had been all about them and their relationships and character growth and never involved Luke (ML)... it might have been a better watch!
-The Dog. Why was he soooo fluffy!?!?! I loved him.
-The FL's professional (workplace) character growth. It was fun to watch her go from shy/reserved/unsure of herself into a powerhouse.
- What 90% of lovers of this drama thought made it all worth it... the chemistry. And, yes, it was truly SIZZLING!

The bad?
-The ML's use of verbal/emotional abuse. The FL was already extremely insecure in their relationship/dynamic and every time he opened his mouth, he belittled her, shamed her, and hurt her in the worst way possible which was poking at her insecurities of how unworthy she was in general.
-The pacing. They fit a LOT of time skips into this drama and several times I found myself confused on how much time had passed and it made the drama a little harder to watch because things didn't seem to make sense unless you were aware of the time skips. This drama had a LOT of them and most were not "announced" you just had to figure them out.
-The ending. I didnt like it. Two people who all the way to the end still didn't know how to communicate with one another just end up with a HEA. Really? The angsty relationship and break up and make up routine is all fine and dandy if we can see actual growth in said relationship, but, I'm sorry... I didn't feel or see that by the end. I just saw the ML throw around the word "love" and forcefully insert himself back into the FL's life and she just eventually.... gives in. MEH.

A Tender Love Story in a Rich, Complicated World

Love in the Moonlight is a romance at its core, but it is also a fully developed drama with real plot, layered characters, and a rich world around the central couple. Family conflict, political upheaval, class differences, money, loyalty, betrayal, grief, repression, and duty all shape the relationship rather than sitting beside it as unrelated background.

That complexity is probably what I appreciated most. Very few characters are simply good or bad. Even some of the people I strongly disliked were written with enough dimension that I could understand where their behavior came from. The conflicts did not feel manufactured just to keep the leads apart. They grew naturally out of the world these characters lived in and the pressures surrounding them.

Saenkaew and Sasin are a wonderful central couple. Pearl and Peak are both very strong actors, and their chemistry is not built around being overtly sexual or “hot” in the way some BL pairings are. Their style is much more emotional, gentle, and intimate. The physical scenes are tender rather than explicit, and for this story that works beautifully. Their relationship feels rooted in trust, vulnerability, longing, and emotional safety.

Peak is especially convincing as a young prince who has been raised to be composed, dutiful, and constantly aware of his position, while still allowing us to see the hurt, fear, softness, and longing underneath that public persona. Pearl gives Sasin warmth, loyalty, protectiveness, and a quiet emotional strength that makes their relationship feel deeply grounded.

I also appreciated that the supporting characters matter. Pin, in particular, is not written as a simple romantic obstacle. Her choices become painful and at times very difficult to watch, but her emotional journey is given real weight. Rachawadi, Granny, Homthip, Sasin’s friends, and even the more difficult family members all contribute meaningfully to the story rather than existing as background decoration.

The final stretch is intense, but the ending feels earned. After everything Saenkaew and Sasin go through, the quieter life they eventually build together is exactly the right kind of happiness for them.

This is not a fluffy BL and it is definitely not a drama built around getting from one NC scene to the next. It is a deeply romantic story with strong performances, a rich setting, meaningful conflict, and characters I became genuinely invested in.

For me, this was an easy 10/10.

bias vs boss, girl pls?

I read the webtoon a long time ago, so I went into this adaptation knowing it was going to be different—and honestly, I think that works better for a live-action with only 12 episodes. I originally planned to give it just the first two episodes during premiere week, but surprisingly, I got hooked because this drama feels quite refreshing in how it portrays fangirling. Nam Da-reum is honestly one of the most relatable fangirls out there: she loves Lee Chan enough to change her career path just to work at his company, but her feelings aren't simply “I want to date my idol.” That line about his song rescuing her from loneliness, fandom giving her friends, and making her feel alive? Yeah… that is painfully fangirl-coded. She loves the person she has built in her head, and the drama actually understands the difference between idolizing someone and loving someone romantically.

BUT here comes my biggest frustration: this drama sold itself as a love triangle, but I don't think it ever really gave that premise a proper chance. From the beginning, Da-reum is already awkward and uncomfortable around Lee Chan, which honestly makes sense because imagine your lifelong idol suddenly knowing you, talking to you, and getting close to you… I'd malfunction too. Eventually, she realizes that she isn't really herself around Lee Chan, while being much more comfortable with Kang Ha-gi. So the supposed rivalry between “bias vs boss” never really felt like a competition. And thankfully, Ha-gi doesn't give me second-lead syndrome at all because Lee Chan never feels like a serious romantic threat. I really loved Da-reum’s character development, though—from someone who always hides her feelings and keeps her troubles to herself, to someone who finally learns to speak up about what’s bothering her and let people in. More importantly, she slowly discovers her own passion and finds meaning in the work she does, instead of having her entire life revolve around her bias. That part of her journey felt more meaningful to me than the romance.

Kang Ha-gi is probably my favourite thing about this drama. He's refreshingly human compared to the usual K-drama CEO who is apparently a chaebol heir, owns three buildings, and has never touched a spreadsheet in his life. Ha-gi runs a startup, actually works, interacts with his employees, and exists as a person outside of being the male lead. Maybe that's why his relationship with Da-reum feels more natural, even when the writing doesn't always give it enough room to develop. Sadly, the story itself isn't always that neat. There are quite a few plot holes and character-development shortcuts that make it feel like the drama has interesting ideas but simply doesn't have enough episodes to properly explore them.

Production-wise, it's very much a "fine" drama for me. Nothing particularly blew me away aesthetically—the directing occasionally felt off, the overall production was pretty mid, although the BGM was nice. But the one thing I will absolutely give this drama is Kang Ha-gi's wardrobe because HELLO??? Man is the CEO of a fashion platform and clearly came to work dressed like he had a personal stylist. What a feast for the eyes. In the end, I wouldn't say this an amazing drama, because the writing needed more depth and the romance needed better pacing. But it surprised me, and I appreciate that. It's a cute, refreshing take on fandom and the difference between loving an idol and loving an actual person—even if somewhere along the way, the drama fumbled the very love triangle it promised us.

The Ahjussi Trio Really Carried This One

Agent Kim Reactivated was such an unexpectedly fun watch. I went in thinking it would be mostly action and serious ex-agent stuff, then somehow I ended up laughing way more than I expected. The trio was easily my favorite part. Seong Han-su and Park Jin-cheol constantly messing around while Agent Kim keeps that permanently serious face was just too funny. Even during tense scenes, their little comments and reactions made everything more entertaining. And for once, the comedy actually worked for me from start to finish—none of the jokes felt forced.

So Ji-sub fits Agent Kim so well too. He doesn’t need exaggerated expressions or dramatic lines to look intimidating. Sometimes he just stands there and you already know somebody is about to get beaten up. 😂 I also liked that they gave him softer moments with his daughter, because it made him feel like more than just the usual cool, overpowered ex-agent character.

Seo Su-min was also a pleasant surprise. For her first supporting role, she held her own pretty well beside a cast with much more experience. She didn’t feel awkward or like the obvious newbie, which I honestly appreciated.

The drama does have some slower parts in the middle, and yes, there are scenes where logic basically leaves the building. But at some point I just stopped questioning it and enjoyed the ride. It’s not trying to be some super realistic, complicated thriller anyway.

Overall, this was the kind of drama I could just sit back and have fun with. Good action, genuinely funny moments, enough heart, and a cast that made even the ridiculous scenes enjoyable. Definitely one of those dramas I’d watch again just for the trio.

So good, so toxic, so angsty, so real, so dramatic

The Early Spring really sets the tone for the Cdramas that has been out for this quarter. I have dropped many Cdramas left and right and this one really stuck out to me. I know that many people flock the series for it being abrupt in comparison to the novel which is also why I docked marks in terms of that story scoring. However, if you are willing to overlook past that given how the cast and the directory and basically the cinematography of the drama delivers, it is a solid 10 across all boards to me.

I think that Flora and Luke has a realist nuance couple dynamics that stems from their situationship-esque, fwb, casual exclusive relation but not official, to blurry lines, to officially in a relation, and along with the power imbalance in workforce, social standing, and just overall financial stability. I think that this relationship component really tug hearts to many viewers. They exhibit toxicness for sure, lack of communication skills, and overall inability to trust each other. But given the circumstances they were both in and how they were progressing, it is inevitable to say the least. I truly think that people who hate on either Luke and Flora are valid in terms of their feelings, to me on the other hand, I just think that they are a good example of how complex human relationships are. We all have thresholds and we all do things differently, obviously it is not an excuse to be a bad or mean person to anyone or to even put them down. Luke is a clear example of how his actions speak louder than his harsh words to Flora. It just feels so realistic to me, and I get that people say it is a romanticization of toxicity of human nature.

I truly just can't get behind that narrative of the leads having to be FULL GREEN FLAG, GREEN FOREST. Like yes, we preach and we don't settle for less. But there is just something about Flora and Luke's dynamic that screams to me, I totally get it, I get why they came back to each other, I get why after all the shit they been through and what they put to each other, they really made each other end-game. Again, no romanticizing toxicity but I feel like they weren't even that toxic. They are just being normal human beings. And I get the comparison of Flora or Luke to other Cdrama leads that are green flags, it is a viewer's freedom to compare. Truly, I just don't think that The Early Spring was selling that plot of whimsical, rainbows and sunshine plot, that many of these characters were in.

A wholeass tangent during midnight just cause I had to finish that 4 episodes back-to-back and they truly delivered. Keeping up with this series, waiting for each episodes to drop day-by-day was truly something that I needed. It was so good, I was so hook, I did not even bother watching anything else every time new episodes drop. I watched this first then the other dramas airing that timeslot.

Truly feel like the fall season that is basically around the corner with this series ending. It definitely boiled my blood, both leads were getting on my nerves, but for some reason, I cannot hate them like everyone else. They just screamed so realistic and human to me. Maybe I am just built different, but I truly loved this show. I hope that you can give this a chance like i did, and if you drop it, oh well! It is truly not for everyone, I think that this series just like this kind of genre is for niche viewers!

My favorite

An 8.3 rating doesn't do this drama justice. When it first came out, to pass the time during the long wait between episodes, I kept rewatching the previous one. It made me laugh so hard. Now it's my go-to comfort drama. The cast is wonderful. Moon Ga Young is adorable, funny, and really good at conveying her emotions. Cha Eun-woo... well, he's Cha Eun-woo. I didn't know him before. Needless to say, after *True Beauty*, I immediately watched *Gangnam Beauty* (which is basically the same story) because I needed to keep enjoying that incredible face card. It’s not a perfect drama. It’s clearly a guilty pleasure. But it’s a drama that knows the it draws heavily on the genre’s clichés and does so in the best possible way—with irony and a lighthearted touch.

SUCKING THIS BITCHES SHIT WHILE STANDING UP.

I am realizing that this show is called Unfollow because he unfollowed him at the start, lmao. Sorry, I'm dumb as fuck lmao. I thought this show was okay; I would give it like a 6.5 or a 7, but I will give it a 7 because I am going to be nice. Yeah, the way I organized my notes is really throwing me off right now because I was being very netural on everything, so I am going to group things into two groups, slightly more postive and slightly less postive and then be done with this lmao (so a little differently then I normally do my reviews but you know what thats fine).

Slightly More Positive:

1. I like their height difference (hence why my headline for this is the way it is)
Relating to their height difference, the shorter guy looks so fucking young- oh my god- so I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing, but it is something I pointed out.
The guy who is a fucking giant lowkey looks like the Korean version of the Thai actor Tay Tawan if you squint hard enough and do like five circles.
2. The plot is fun
So he is in a study group with this guy, and he is stalking his Instagram one day, and he accidentally follows him and likes his first picture; very relatable, I feel that on a molecular level. But then he embarrasses himself further by unfollowing him, and I think Korean Tay Tawan, aka Big Daddy, lowkey has that app that tells you when people unfollow you because how did he find out immediately, bitch NEXT.
3. They kissed...yay?
4. And finally, for slightly positive things, on part of the show someone was belting on the god damn back track, and I say hell yeah to that. Give that person a raise right now, please, and thank you.

Slightly Less Positive:

1. (I am actually gonna go look at what the characters' names were because god, I can't be bothered to remember). Kang Tae Jun (tall nigga) is a fucking fan, my lord.
One, why do we know that he unfollowed you? Two, why are we waiting on his DM like it's your beck and fucking call? We actually need to back off, my lord; I'm begging you. You are a god damn fan, bro, like shit; that was just irritating me.
2. Choi Hyejin (if that is even her name, I am not going back to check because fuck her)
We are almost done with this show, but no. We desperately need another one-off pointless character in this god damn 30 minute show, because for some reason we can't write plots better than that. She comes in with her wispy ass bangs, talking about oh oppa, oppa this, oppa that, OPPA HOW ABOUT YOU SUCK MY FUCKING BALLS, HUH? GIRL, RENT CANNOT BE THIS HIGH, PLEASE STOP. I said: "Talking about some oppa, bitch; you should be worrying about your bangs NEXT."
3. And following that, because all we want to do is sit here and hold our balls as we get off, is the misunderstanding that came with oppa girl. LIKE WE DIDN'T NEED THAT, BYE!
4. Finally, for my not-so-positive things, I think the chem was a little off and not really anything special (I am reading other people's reviews, and I think that's because the tall guy's character was creepy at the end; I just didn't realize it lmao). But what could have saved this dumb ass show? Really didn't, so fuck me, fuck them, and fuck this show for that matter.

But yeah, I would say I am pretty neutral about this show, leaning more towards negativity because I'm a hater, but yeah. It was pretty short and very to the point, which is nice. There were some pretty pointless characters, which I feel like the show could have done without, but you know what, that's fine. Okay bye!

I want to love it. AI Fucks It Up!

Look for all intents and purposes, the show itself is incredible, the actors are doing a fantastic job, and I want nothing more than to just support it, and see it through to the end.
However, I can't do that despite absolutely loving the first two episodes; because on episode 3, that's where I was able to finally read the subtitle that disclosed the use of AI. CGI is a wonderful tool, the use of CGI employs humans, it allows artists to continue working. I looked online and there were comments about how it was for on set safety, so I assume they meant it was in regards to the fire scenes, but that is where CGI comes in. There we're also comments saying that it was used for cleanup and enhancements of effects . . . like the eyes and other supernatural things. Again, CGI is a perfect way to go, hell, practical effects are also a perfect way to go when it comes to eye color and transitions. AI is only used for expedition, and as a cheap alternative. It takes jobs away from artists, and is way too casually used in modern media, especially in recent Thai media. It's one thing to have a character mindlessly ask AI how to cheer up their boyfriend (which sucks by itself), but it's a completely different thing to actively be destroying the planet in order to make somebody's eyes turn blue, instead of hiring a real artist and giving somebody a job; all just to save some money.

I'm really disappointed in We TV. While I appreciate the actual disclaimer, considering we don't get those much, I will unfortunately be dropping the series.
