my honest review (kinda story-telling too lmao) ??

i want to desclaimer at the beginning before im continuing this review. i might adding my opinion as a polca (shipper fandom of taynew) but overall this is my honest review as a pure viewers.

first of all, this is a comeback of taynew as a BL couple and i'm so excited. no matter what kind of series they'll get, i don't care, as long as i can watch them as a couple on screen again. then, when i know taynew will got a series based on one of the famous BL manga, my excitement doubled and doubled. i know this manga already had a japanese series and ofc, i have to watch it first before the thai adaptation one is airing.

finally, on december 9th 2023, the first episode of cherry magic thailand is airing! i'm very happy and ecstatic but can't helo myself to comparing it with the japanese version. i really like the japanese one but for some reason the thai one hits so much different. starting from many adjustments to the culture in thailand so the series can be more comfortable and acceptable to watched by the native people there, details that are not shown in the hapanese series, the chemistry of taynew and other players that so fun to watched, and much more (you can watch it yourself if you want to know more).

i can proudly say, cherry magic thailand is such a masterpiece and can be one of the must-watch series that you have to see at least once in your lifetime.

the series still on-going so if you want to binge-watching it, you still have time and then keeping up until the newest episode. i'm kinda promoting here but you can watch it live at 20.30 BKK time every saturday on gmm25 channel and rewatch it on viu thailand at 22.30. the english subtitle already available both of the platform. let's feel the magic of cherries by yourself like me, guys! 🥰🍒🪄

Eternal Love

The description and the promotional poster deceive.

A shallow view may be derived from the focus on the romantic aspect.

Love for Love's Sake is sweet, funny, and sometimes a little silly but that is because it is a simulation, it is not real. This depicts the story of an individual without love ultimately finding love from the following sources; friendships, romance, and the self.

This is not a love story, but a story of love.

The consequences of a human being deprived of such a necessity for living never end well. This gives hope that one can be happy, that one can love, that one can be loved--even when it is too late.

A portrayal of the regretful. Regretful, although the mind cannot process a clear thought, indeed it parallels systematic errors, corrupt files, and the broken engine. Fortunately, the regret is eased.

There are moments that are out of place, moments that may bore. Life is redundant, and when life is made fictional, how could it not be peculiar?

If you decide to watch this show I want to ask you: are you ready to be loved?

This is a masterpiece, but to really enjoy this show you need to skip the songs.

Wow, this was an amazing show. However, there are two ways you can watch this show. If you like the musical numbers, great, watch them. I personally thought they detracted from the story so I skipped them. This is a serious drama most of the time and having songs ruins the story and realism. I really don't understand what they were thinking making this a musical. It just doesn't work.
The lead actress fit the role perfectly. She's a very likeable, sympathetic and beautiful. We She had such a hard life. She reminds me of the mother who died in Les Miserables. I honestly think they were trying to make it like the Les Mis musical which was a bad idea.
I highly recommend this. Amazing show. Ignore the bad reviews. Again, skip the songs and this is a masterpiece.

Cute.

If you're bored and can't find anything to watch this is good. I usually enjoy web series quite a lot, and this one is no exception. I think Chani is very good at acting, I watched him in Sky Castle too and he was good in that, I'd say he stuck out the most out of everyone in this. The plot wasn't bad at all, for the plot going fast only having 10 episodes with under 20 minutes every episode it seemed very well put together and it didn't seem rushed at all, usually when the time is so short I struggle to fully enjoy because it feels rushed, but this didn't seem rushed at all. I would recommend this as a watch.

Umpteenth Review to Say...Yes, It was Good!

So, there are well over enough reviews on this to where I don't really need to write one but like for every series, I still will. Overall, I really liked this. Jimmy and Sea definitely showed how well they can act and act with one another. The plot is so authentic and new that it's hard not to enjoy where all these different paths will lead, with Day's sight, with Mhok's bad boy exterior, with Porjai's pregnancy, with Night's guilt, with August's angst, with Ramon's overprotectiveness, and just so much more. Even with my fondness, of course I still see a few faults in this series, but again, this was top-tier on GMMTV's BL list.

Let's Dive In.

Again, I'll reiterate how I'm much pickier with GMMTV BL since they have the funds, actors, crew, and sources to do so, so yes, this series sadly doesn't sit at a 10 with me, but it's very close. Judging solely on episodes 1-6, this series deserves well over a 10. The setup, them meeting, the continued build-up of Day trusting Mhok, them slowly realizing their feelings for one another, their moments together, the subtle why Mhok showed he was listening and he cared (pretending to be blind, wearing the bright pink shirt because that was a color that stood out to Day, buying him slippers so he wouldn't keep hitting his feet, etc.), Day slowly realizing he needed Mhok a lot more than he realized, them slowly falling until it's recognized in a passionate rooftop kiss (of course it had to be on a rooftop, Aof's signature touch), and so many more that I could list out, but you get the point. Those episodes were so freaking good, it kept me on the edge of my seat, I couldn't stop watching, I couldn't stop falling more and more for this couple. 7-9 are good too, settling their relationship and easing into being affectionate and learning more and more of each other. 10-12 is where it falls flat for me.

I pretty much watched with it sped once we got to episode 10 and just kept that pace onward until the end of the series. There's a lot of scenes that don't drive the plot along, lots of just skinship and being cute and blah blah blah, and as much as I like that, it got to be a bit draggy. Along with that, Aof follows a strategic structure when it comes to how he constructs his plots. All of his shows follow the exact same formula, and now it's getting to be way too noticeable and way too repetitive, especially the time jumps (he loves a good time jump). So while watching, I'm catching onto what feels familiar which is causing me to predict what's going to happen next (and it does), so this series is something fresh, yet something so tediously recurring that it almost bores you to death knowing what's always coming next.

Moving onto the chemistry between Jimmy and Sea... *mwah* perfection. I'll admit, I was a little worried about how their connection would play out this time around since I wasn't very pleased with it in Vice Versa, but here, wow, I can see how much their acting and comfortability with one another has grown. Especially for Jimmy, who unfortunately still starts off kissing with his mouth open, but that's nit-picky, so let's look past that. But really, I love it, such an excellent job, fell immediately in love with their connection, specifically after the fish bowl scene. They have so many great moments together, but my favorite is them on top of the rock looking out at the last twilight, and Day saying he wanted Mhok to be the last image he sees before he goes blind instead of the one thing he's been fighting to see since going blind. Urgh, heart-tugging ain't it? Kisses were great, NC scene was beautiful, and overall, I'm happy with what we got.

Their breakup felt forced though, I won't lie. Day broke up with him because he said no to going abroad because he felt that he needed to be there for Day, which made Day feel like he'd had nothing but pity for him this entire time. Understandable, and instead of a breakup and just a, "let's not see each other for at least a year", they could've talked it out and it would've been resolved with decent communicating, but okay. The time jump was aggravating, cause that leads to so much room for the characters to change and become better, except they feel the exact same as they always did. They eventually get back together, through way too much trial and error and Day not taking any of the fault, but this is BL, so whatever.

I actually loved August's character, I could also in some way, relate to him, feeling so much pity or so much urge to make someone feel better that you'll do anything you need to, even if it means not being authentic to yourself. of course, what he did was slimy and terrible, but in the end, he did it because he cared so much for Day. Great addition to the series, along with Night and Porjai, great moments between the two of them too.

Now, where I get to be nit-picky. And before I say this, I'll just say that overall, Sea did an excellent job portraying a blind character, and I mean above any of my expectations. It's probably severely hard to act blind and be seeing, trying not to react to certain things with your eyes, not moving them too much, etc. Even with that though, my two main problems were that one, why the hell didn't anyone get this man a walking stick, and two, perception is still something a blind person who hasn't been blind all their life understands. One, a walking stick, how come he wasn't given one? Did I miss a part where Day maybe didn't want one cause he wanted to be independent, or something? Either way, he could've saved himself and Mhok so much trouble had he had one, it's idiotic that he didn't. Two, Day has been seeing for all his life, so he understands perception. In some scenes when people were talking, or he was eating, or doing something with his hands, it bothers me that he wouldn't look to that exact spot, instead he would stare off at the sky or wall or nothing. Now, obviously, he's blind, but he could still see shapes and shadows and colors, especially in the earlier episodes, so why not take the time to look down at your plate of food to try and use your best knowledge of perception to eat without getting messy? Again, it's nit-picky, and definitely not really a problem, but it's just something I happened to notice.

Ratings:

Story: 8.5/10: so, so, so good! it's such a fresh story that was given so many beautiful details and obviously given lots of insight from the blind community in terms of dealing with that aspect. It falls a little flat for me starting at episode 10, but I'm glad nonetheless with the way this series turned out, story-wise.

Acting: 9/10: Sea did incredible! Jimmy falling second behind in showing such good character development. All in all, the entire cast did a job well done, I have nothing in this aspect that needed fixing.

Music: 7.5/10 - You know what, I actually liked their singing, which in most cases I skip it.

Recommendation value: 8/10: I think this was such a beautiful production and some really good storytelling. I'd recommend this for anyone wanting something new and fresh to BL, and something that'll keep you on your toes cause this really did it for me.

A drama I think most adults will relate too the most

Where do I even begin for this drama. I've been anticipating it as I thought that it would be a light rom-com drama, but I was so wrong. This drama beat my expectations as it is such an indepth drama with so many realities of life shown. We see how 6 childhood friends who grew up together, grew apart and finally came back together. We see their growth, their mistakes in life and how they helped themselves to overcome obstacles. So much nostalgia in this drama and honestly, this is one of my best modern cdrama and this is coming from someone who doesn't watch much modern cdrama. I really hope more ppl will watch this masterpiece ✨✨

I wasted my time

I mean just why? why was this drama made and for what purpose?

I mean the most boring part of the series was the ML and FL and ML’s father. They irittated me so much I almost skipped everything about it.
The most interesting part of the story was… let me remember what was…. nothing.
It has no story and no base they wanted to create a love story but the coward FL just annoyed me. The stupidity of the ML left me dumbfounded. And I would’ve dropped it. If it was not for the character redemption and Jeong do and Rachel and Won. Also the back story of the first love kid.
I think the first couple episodes were great but perhaps because it is an old drama or what but it was annoying.

The way to love anything is to realize that it may be lost.

Quick Roundup on plot -

Choi Ban Do (Son Ho Jun) and Ma Jin Joo (Jang Nara) are at their wits end in their marriage as they decide to get a divorce. They got married straight out of university and found it difficult to maintain their feelings for each other after so many years of being married. Shortly after their divorce becomes official, the two travel back in time to when they first met in university. It’s a story that shows what happens after the “happily ever after” in a romance.

GO BACK COUPLE -

The show portrayed the difficulty of experiencing initial encounters, first loves, rejections, friendships, and dreams. Furthermore, a mother's and her daughter's affectionate bond is emphasized. It shows ' The crucial component for every happy relationship is required proper communication/relationship building so while you're at it, learn how to share/ exchange properly your feelings for your loved ones.
And although the plot was quite simple, its storytelling is so attractive, the writing was simply excellent and well executed that we can really feel like we were traveling with them. This 12-episode Korean drama holds a perfect pace. The writing and directing also achieved excellence in developing a drama that perfectly combined humor and meltdowns of emotion.

The main leads relationship's redevelopment( past to present) was dealt with realistically and at an enjoyable pace. They learned about their problems and matured them, they separated from together instead of just quickly deciding to dislike each other when they traveled to the past that showed but eventually they started to Love each other again that showed only Love, past or present, is the only thing that remains unchanged.

THE CAST IS SIMPLY AMAZING !

Yes, absolutely every character on this show is awesome. The characters themselves, the people who wrote them( writers) and the actors who brought them to life all worked together successfully and flawlessly.

Son Ho jun gave a standout performance in heartbreaking sequences that evoked feelings of innocence and vulnerability, similar to a before marriage situation of being arrogant, making fun of, and immature. How much he destroyed himself to pointless people after his marriage in order to feed his family, but he never told his wife about the awful reality.

Jung Na Ra the way Her portrayal of a mother( She cries every night, recalling her child while realizing that she is currently not with him. It was an intensely emotional time for all kdrama fans.) and daughter ( who never changed her love to her mom, despite realizing that it was her last opportunity to treasure their happy memories together) her acting his so endearing and natural that it will connect with many of us.

Jung Nam Gil gave a fantastic performance as a person how quiet, secretive, and reserved he was, yet it did not hinder him from expressing his feelings for the main female character.

Like other second female leads in typical kdramas, Min Seo Young wasn't crazy or jealous; instead, she was insightful and mature to her age. She was inspirational, supportive, and understanding. Her acting was amazing. ( My personal favourite second male lead ).
The supporting cast makes drama more funny at the same time it highlights the family affection especially mother and daughter emotions.

I would like to highly recommend this drama to everyone looking for a mature rom-com that emphasizes friendship, family relationships, and remembering the good old days of being in love.

A wonderful drama to start 2024 ❤️❤️

A different experience with " different princess" 💕

● I know that these types of stories have always been common in cdrama, and its structure and format are usually the same!  That's why, at the beginning of the series, I strongly believed that I was going to see a drama similar to the romance between Tiger and Rose !that It went in the same way, but let's be honest, this drama really surprised me!  I can't imagine that the chemistry between the main and secondary actors in this series will surprise me so much!  It is true that the original format has been used in several dramas, but this series is different for me!

● First of all I want to say Ding Ze ren is a rising star!  I am saying right now that he is going to be the biggest Chinese star in the serial industry!  His facial expressions and acting in this drama were really unique!  He had a very beautiful combination of oppression and revenge in his face and manner of speaking!

● Well , the evolution of the villain of the story, next to the role that was supposed to be removed at the very beginning of the story, was quite spectacular! I mean the deep mistrust between Ji Chu and Qing!  Qing had always doubted him because she had created Ji Chu's evil character herself!  Regardless of his heart!  Exactly the same thing that happens in our world... Judging by appearance!!! Qing did not even imagine why the character she created became evil! And then we see that with the melting of the ice around Ji Chu's heart, Qing slowly opens the doors of her heart to him without wanting to!

● Another thing that fascinated me was the mystery of the story!  So that I could not even think that the lovely, calm and kind queen is so evil and dirty!  She used his son's love in all situations and tried to turn him into an emotionless devil!

● Regarding the support characters .... In my opinion, Gong Ye Qi's life was a complete hell before the arrival of Wan Er!  I feel so sorry for him that he lost someone he loved to get revenge :(

● Oh , Yao Yao!  That woman is amazing!  A perfect example of sacrifice, patience, resistance and effort... someone who stood by the feet of the one he loved with all his heart :) It was exactly a clear example of the sentence I always said.  "A woman falls in love with difficulty, but if she falls in love, she will give her life for her love."

●● Let's skip the characters! Wowwwww , the OSTs of this drama were really unique! I want to express my gratitude to the composer of this drama! The combination of melodies and lyrics was really fantastic! 🥹🩷

●●● In the end, this series was very beautiful and well-made, although there were some flaws in the story and visual fx , but the very good acting of the actors had eliminated these flaws to a great extent!

♡ I really enjoyed watching this series, I hope you enjoy watching this drama too :)❤️🌹

Rewrite the story...

Oftentimes I have read authors' interviews in which they stated that sometimes they have a different story in mind but once they start writing, some characters refuse to behave in the way the author intended and take on a life of their own.

In this series, the Female lead(Ireine Song) who is an author of the novel 'The Tale of Yun and Xi' is transmigrated inside her novel because the ending she wrote of the male protagonist(Ji Yun, the crown prince) and female protagonist(Lin Xi Yao) dying at the hands of the villain(Prince Lv-Ji Chu) was unacceptable. According to her story, Ji Chu the third prince of Liang was kept at the Southern border as a hostage since young. He was abandoned by the imperial family of Liang causing him to suffer. Thus he vowed to get revenge. He overthrew the Southern border at the age of 20, returning to the kingdom with a vengeance. Since then Liang wad plunged into a bloody storm. He advanced step by step, subverted the courtiers one by one, drove a wedge between the imperial family, initiated a revolt when his brother ascended the throne. He ignored the life of his beloved and slaughtered the imperial Court. Ji Chu got his revenge and usurped the throne. Changed the era's name to Xiande.

As soon as she enters her own novel as a minor character(Hua Qingge, niece of the current empress) who was married to the villain, Ji Chu and was going to be killed by him. The plot changes due to her action of running away preventing that character's immediate death. As per the phenomenon of 'Butterfly effect' (The 'butterfly effect' rests on the notion that the world is deeply interconnected, such that one small occurrence can influence a much larger complex system. The effect is named after an allegory for chaos theory. ) the story takes on unexpected turnings and twists leaving the author as well as the viewers guessing.

In order to change the outcome, Qing( Ireine Song) has to change Ji Chu(Ding Zeren) from a devil to a human. She tries to change his nature by being kind towards him, making him breakfast, grinding ink and rushing in his bedroom to tell him bedtime stories. Displaying care and concern to mitigate his revengeful thoughts. He is also changing, Qing's clumsy attempts to change his disposition are working.

Ji Chu is trying to find clues to his mother's death. His mother was killed as she displayed demon like symptoms. He is successful in reopening investigation of his mother's death after the brilliant physician and co-conspirator of Ji Chu, Gong Ye Qi(Chen Ze) simulates similar symptoms on other person. With the help of the crown prince, Ji Yun(Sun Zu Jun) and the female coroner Lin Xi Yao(Zhu Rong Jun), Ji Chu and Qing are successful in finding the real culprits but due to the identity of the perpetrators they are not able to get immediate justice because politics and popular support complicate things. Also thrown in this mix is the princess, Wan'er(Zhang Yue Nan). Wan'er is a kind person who has retained her goodness and is like a ray of sunshine even in the midst of schemes and plots.

Qing has to successfully complete her task of changing the story ending. Her presence brings out the best in Ji Chu also enabling her to experience true love. Ending of the story is mostly predictable, nonetheless the relationship development of all characters makes it an engaging watch.

This series is also meant to two fold satire, firstly it satirizes the current trend where the audience is more vocal about their preferences and expect the writers, actors and other public figures to be 'perfect versions of their vision', behave and present their work as per the majority voice, frowning on each imperfection of these people. Tolerance and acceptance for different thoughts and tastes is getting lesser day by day. Secondly, it satirizes the authors who write the characters superficially without giving much thought to their actions and motivation. Sometimes the audience rightly feels that they are cheated of a good story merely because the writer is sloppy, writing the story devoid of logic, giving one dimensional trait to the characters.

Fun fact: the author( Qingge) is as clueless as the viewers so we are together in this race till the end, uncovering hidden motives and discovering the truth.

Overall: This series is quite uncomplicated yet interesting to watch. This felt like a breath of fresh air to watch during short breaks from work. You don't need to continuously analyse the plot, sit back and enjoy the mystery unfolding.

One of the best K drama of all time

This drama is a gem of the k-industry. The cast, acting, cinematography, dialogues, story line and music were top notch.

The reason why this drama is celebrated by many is due to the uniqueness of each characters. The drama shows how much past trauma can hurt someone. Though the ML is a goblin he's suffering to find his bride and from his past guilt, though the FL is cheerful she has had an abusive past, and on the contrary the grim reaper suffers from not being able to recall his past. This goes to show that no matter what you've to bear the consequences of your past actions.

What makes this drama extra special is its perfect blend of romance, grief, comedy and revenge. It's my comfort show that I've binged several times and would highly recommend to others too. Be prepared with a tissue pack cuz you're in for an emotional rollercoaster ride :)

Softly indeed.

I can definitely understand why people would dislike this Drama. For one is is a very slow story, even boring at times. I honestly wish I'd known about x2 speed while watching it 😅 But despite that I'd still recommend watching it at least once. There is good things about it.

The acting is on par, Ji Chang Wook never disappoints me in that part. His character to me is very likable as well. Won Ji Ah also did a very good job with the role she was given. And their love and Chemistry is beautiful, I thought. I think that's the part that holds the story together. They just move the rest of the story at snail pace and take forever to get to the love.

I like the concept of the story and there was some really funny parts too. Especially the MLS brother haha.

Tantai Jin is ?

*** Spoiler Alert (PERSONAL FEEDBACK)
Title : Till The End Of The Moon (Complete 40 Episodes)
Personal Rating : 8.5/10

Tantai Jin | Cang Jiu Min | Ming Ye (played Luo Yun Xi)

Li Su Su | Ye Xi Wu | Sang Jiu (Played Bai Lu)

This is my first drama of Bai Lu and and Luo Yun Xi. Actually, I dropped this drama once and I didn’t plan to watch it since I already know from some post and spoilers that someone will die but I didn’t know who. And it is not a happy ending but since it was a talk of the town for a long time, I tried to watch it again and it was okay.😊

Honestly, TTEOTM is not for me. It was not my cup of tea or my kind of drama that I will enjoy watching happily.😅 The endless suffering, sacrifices, betrayal, misfortunes, revenges, and pain are not for me. I cannot handle it because it pains me and breaks my heart too. And that it one of the reasons why I don’t watch sad dramas. 😆 There was love, comedy and romance in this drama but it is more on sad story than a happy one. I think my favourite scene is the Bo’re life only. I don’t have anything against the story and characters. To be honest it was well written drama. It is for the viewers who can handle endless heartache.😁
For the characters, I like Tantai Jin because even from all the misfortunes that he had in his life he still chooses to love and be kind till the end. ❤️ And I like Immortal Zhaoyou, the leader of the Xiaoyao Sect who becomes Tantai Jin's mentor because even he knows that he is a jinxed from the start he still trusts, educate, and protect Tantai Jin. 💙
For Ye Xiwu, sometimes I like her sometimes I dislike her because he kept on using and fooling Tantai Jin coz she knows Tatai Jin loves her and will accept her whatever she does. Well, that is my opinion only. We have different opinions and understanding so you can always disagree with me.😁 For Gongye Jiwu, I don’t know what’s wrong with him on the last few episodes. He was blinded by hatred or something.

Overall, I rate this drama 8.5/10. It was okay for me even the ending was okay. They are meant not to be together anyway even they love each other. And its not a sad ending for me coz till the end Tatai Jin love Susu and vice versa.😍 I think TTEOTM has one of the best CGI’s for me. It was wow! 😲 It looks so goooood specially the spirit gods. 🤩The chemistry of the leads are great too! And salute to Luo Yun Xi, he is freaking good! 👏👏👏 He embodied the character of Tatai Jin so well. He is one the best actor who played a Devilish character! Well done! ❤️👏😍

OST – Only You by Shuang Sheng ( one of the happy songs )😁
GENRE – Romance, Wuxia, Fantasy, Costume
LEAD CAST – Luo Yun Xi, Bai Lu

Better villain than Jang Chen?

After watching this film, people will compare Kang hee sang to Jang Chen and some even say Kang is better or stronger than Jang Chen but that's utter bullshit.
If Kang hee sang is an assassin type, Jang Chen is a combatant type. With machete or knife, Kang hee sang got the edge but with bare hands or without weapons, Jang Chen wins by a mile. He's the one who gave most trouble to Ma seok du without any weapon while kang got obilerated while holding a weapon. Is this part Better than 1st part? Yeah but in a different aspect
It's a chase while 1st part is more of cops and robbers game. Both are enjoyable.

Perfect!

Literally sooo good! I loved it so much. Perfect acting, Perfect Romance, Perfect Revenge! Ahhhh so good! Never a dull moment. So worth the watch!

Sung Hoon finally landed himself a perfect role! He did so good. I'm so proud of him haha. Such a great ML. FL did so well too, especially for being a not so seasoned actress. She's so pretty.

I think it's safe to say I loved everything about it and I'll definitely be rewatchung. I love that it's only 12 Episodes, otherwise I feel like it would have dragged, but it was literally perfect:)

Highly recommend 10/10
