One of the best modern rom coms I have seen
Actually, this is my third time watching this show and I still love it. In fact, pretty sure I will watch it again. Overall, I think it's a great romance story with two of my very favorite actors, Bai Lu and Dylan Wang. They are both very likeable and talented young actors, not to mention the off the chart chemistry as FL/ML in this rom com. I also liked all the other male and female characters/couples. Pretty much all of the actors and actresses are very talented and gorgeous to look at. The storyline in entertaining, not overly complicated and very relaxing, enjoyable with a happy ending. The music/songs are wonderful and very catchy. In fact, the main song I liked a lot and kept playing in my head way after I finished the drama. The wardrobe/outfits were also extraordinarily stylish and unique. This is a very well done production that has everything, beautiful talented cast, fantastic chemistry between the ML and FL character ( as it should be in a great rom com) beautiful clothes and wonderful catchy songs/music.Highly recommend it to all romance lovers. Oh yeah..I would really love to see future dramas/ collaboration between Bai Lu and Dylan Wang as FL/ML, a period/costume piece would be fun.

Sisyphus in a Suit
You stare at the screen and can’t help but think: Oh, humanity. Always longing for a restart because, predictably, we messed it up the first time."The Judge Returns." It’s 2026, and the world remains a damp cellar filled with greedy old men. At first glance, it feels like an echo of 2022’s "Again My Life". Has South Korea not moved on since then? (Looking at the current geopolitical landscape, neither has the rest of the world...)
The message is so sobering you’ll want to retreat into a dark room: Without magic, without some metaphysical glitch in the system, you can’t knock these corrupt fossils off the board. It takes a time-reset just to summon the courage for basic decency and integrity. What a pathetic indictment of our species. You take a few pieces off the board, but the Game itself just laughs. Corruption isn't a bug in the system; it is the system. An endless war, a tiny victory—but in the end, does everything stay grey?
Then there’s Ji Sung. He carries that unshakable face of his through every frame. As a judge on his second attempt, he seizes his chance with absolute consequence. For a moment, it feels good to believe that something could actually move.
The Verdict?
• 10/10 for Ji Sung (honestly, just watching him is enough).
• 3/10 for Hope (which, as we know, is merely a lack of information).
But it’s not just about his face. It’s about what that face embodies.
(And thankfully, he isn’t entirely alone in this.)
Amidst the mire, there are these delicate moments where the series actually reflects on the Law. This KDrama (based on the webnovel Pansa Lee Han-young) bows before the Idea of Law. Not because it’s perfect—heaven knows it’s as full of holes as Swiss cheese—but because it’s the only thing standing between us and total whimsy. It is Sisyphus’ work: rolling the stone of the rule of law up the mountain every day, only for it to roll back onto our feet. But that doesn't mean the work is meaningless.
The Koreans have a beautiful term for this: Cheon-myeong (천명). Literally: The Mandate of Heaven.
Embracing the burden of destiny as a call to action, however bleak the odds.
So, would I recommend watching it? Yes. Even if—or especially if—those lying men in suits are increasingly getting on your nerves. It’s an act of defiance to watch someone tirelessly roll that stone up the hill, if only for those few episodes. (I think anyways.)

Interesting Modern Detective Drama
This modern-day detective drama delivers a refreshing twist by placing social media influencers at the center of its mystery. The storyline is tightly woven, filled with unexpected turns that keep you guessing until the end. Beyond the suspense, it beautifully highlights themes of family and friendship, adding emotional depth to the narrative. What makes it even more compelling is its sharp critique of reckless influencer culture and the desperate pursuit of online fame. Overall, it’s an entertaining, thoughtful, and highly binge-worthy detective series. Was this review helpful to you?
Solid Premise, Mid Writing
It started out promising, but in the end it turned into a mess. JS was the main reason I tuned in. I prepared myself mentally, knowing it wouldn’t be as good as The Devil Judge. It’s hard for him to top that drama unless he tries another genre. The most noticeable weakness was the the supporting female lead's acting. Also, I didn’t appreciate the overall slice of life meets law drama approach this series took. This would have worked much better if it had been trimmed down to about 10 episodes. Was this review helpful to you?
"Nothing new, nothing terrible"
It is a predictable contract marriage drama. It follows exact formula you expect. You'll probably enjoy this if that's what you're expecting. The main couple did a decent job with chemistry. A lot of cute scenes and common stakes. I did enjoy it till some point but after that it was a drag. I think the plus point is that the actors look really compatible on screen.Characters:
Again there's nothing new in this. A poor and determined female lea, a cold boss, a kind second male lead who treats female lead better, an annoying second female lead who tries to create misunderstanding, a mother in law hates fl but loves her in the end, a grandma who adores fl, a best friend who supports fl.
The performance by the cast was okay. The leads did a better job as a couple and their chemistry stood out rather than individual performance.
Overall, many people will enjoy this drama as it has the entertainment factor and people usually like cliches, but it was an okay-ish to meh for me.

Put a smile on my face
Things I loved1 The FL. She's a good actress and she plays cute well. I've discarded a lot of series lately because of the forced cuteness of some actresses but here it feels natural and she is portraying the cute and adorable girl quite well. I also loved her character. She's smart and funny and a good person.
2 The ML. I thought I wouldn't like him at first and that the 2ML was better but he won me over and he's become one of my favorites now. He portrayed his character truly well and he was believable as the nerd who slowly falls in love. I loved their chemistry and their couple.
3 The no angst. I loved that it was fluffy most of the times and gave me reasons to smile. I love lighthearted series and it certainly fits the genre.
2 The parents. I liked how they interacted with the children. It was refreshing to see parents who don't stress their children and there were quite a few funny moments I adored.
3 The professor and the relationship between the students d especially the Ml and him.
4 The jealousy scenes. Whether it was im who was jealous or her, it was funny, lighthearted, perfect.
Things I liked
1 The second couple. Good enough to care about them.

rare gem one of masterpiece of 2026 c drama
Masterpiece drama not because it perfect cause after 19 to 35 it drag of episodes but amazing directing, cast, acting story and most important the authentic values ,vibes, scenes and good story everything especially last episode is breathtaking and geniuses. its rare to see this kind of authentic vibe dramas like no overdramatic acting, no doll up makeup, beautiful and real landscape captured, amazing cast only flaw is the story is dragged from ep 14 to 17 and ep 19 to 35 (for me) but the overall effect is amazing and last episode is totally staying forever .Was this review helpful to you?

High Quality Comedy
What a hilarious show! Only two dramas with historical set ever made it to my watchlist, and this is one of it. This show has an impressive mixture of comedy and romance, in an unusual setup: Joseon era. Even with all evil plans scattering all around the palace, you still can find the comedy. There are a lot of twists as well. I also like how they potray King Cheoljong as an intelligent king disguised as a dumb man. He set up an incident, and put spies here and there. Most of the casts did an outstanding performance here. Shin Hae Sun is the only correct person to play as the queen. She played a lot of characters: Kim So Yong, Jang So Yong, and the mixtures of them both. Extraordinary job! The visual effects team also did a great job. I love the beautiful scenere of the palace, and I also love the royal wardrobes! The comedy level is very generous and pretty consistent, but there are several episodes with no comedy at all. As other historical shows, the pace is painfully slow. There are also several plot holes. I can't understand why Queen Dowager Jo kept siding with Kim Family until the end. The original plan was to replace the queen with Lady Uibin. However after she got deposed, whoever took the reign will be from Kim Family and Queen Jo would gain no advantage. Judging by her nature, she normally would come up with another plan, especially when she had no idea about the pressure on his family by the treason letter. Lady Uibin threatened her family if they ever harmed the King. But after the King disappeared, she took no actions on them. On the day before her escape, the Queen visited Prince Yeong Pyong and Captain Hong at the prison, but nothing happened. Jang Bong Hwan lived 200 years later than the period, but he rarely used his knowledge about the history. I don't like the ending, not because they're not "together", but because how easy it was for Secretary Han.
The soundtracks are good, especially in latter episodes. The ending is visually sweet but considerably sad. The King was left with someone he didn't love. The one he loved was the eccentric (Jang) So Yong. Jang Bong Hwan was left alone in the modern days. It's worth to rewatch for the humour, but maybe the ending will stop you from doing so.

Good show to watch after a busy workday but WTF was that ending? It wasn’t explained well.
I’ll still gave it a 9 because it’s hard for a low budget drama to engross me into binge watching it.The drama may have not been edited well enough with how fast it tends to get especially with the reality setting, it’s like the director wants to just focus on the book version.
With that said, the world building in the book version is miles better than the reality one. You might wonder though if they’re historically accurate with all the tech they’ve introduced despite it being set in 1999 but then you’d realize that it’s just 1999 based on a book, not really 1999 time travel so you’d have a sense of understanding that it does not need to be 100% accurate.
The screenwriter definitely messed up the last episode, especially how it left to the viewers to decipher how it ended the way it ended. I’m still confused but still happy that it ended that way. It’s really just the big HOW. A little explanation would have sufficed but no, they decided to just roll the ending credits and be done with it. The WeTV comments are even so funny as everyone was just confused and asking others how they understood it.
Acting-wise, I never really expected for Chen Xing Xu and Wang Yu Wen to have the best on-screen chemistry especially after watching their bestie coded clips in Wow The World. Watching them in this show suddenly shifted their “besties” energy to “are they perhaps dating in real life? they seem to like each other so much and they’re so comfortable”. Yes, that’s the effect. You could tell that they really became close friends after filming this show, which is a good nod to their middle school selves who were too shy to speak to each other.
And can I just say how good of an actor CXX is?? This is my third consecutive drama of him being in a CEO role but his acting here wouldn’t remind you of his other roles. His facial expressions, mannerisms, body gestures, even his gaze and the way he talks— all just for Gao Haiming and that to me is such a lovely thing to watch as a viewer and a fan.
Alsooo, please cast Wang Yuwen more in rom coms. Her comedic timing is just top notch. I laughed so much in this drama that I couldn’t really rate it to anything lower than 9, it’s that lovely to me!
Overall, this is a good watch. The kind that makes you excited after a busy workday. The OSTs may have been repetitive as they apparently have only 4 but they hit the right spot.
I watched this a day after finishing Love Between Lines and although I loved LBL with all of my heart, I didn’t find myself comparing the ship there with Gao Haiming and Lin Huaner here. It helped that this is a rom com and the first few scenes weren’t romantic, just pure fun and laughter. And when the ship sailed, you have already forgotten CXX in LBL as CXX really owned his Gao Haiming with Wang Yuwen’s Lin Huaner. Their promos are also genuinely good, you can tell they’re truly comfortable with and close to each other. It’s nice to see CXX relax because of Yuwen.

THE ROMCOM THAT ATTACKED ME PERSONALLY
Okay. Now that we actually understand the REAL story, let me scream properly. This is not just “soft BL slow burn.”
This is "dramatic mafia heir x emotionally stable photographer romcom chaos" and I was NOT PREPARED.
---
THEERAKIT KIAN LEE (THEE) — DRAMATIC KING OF DELUSION
Played by "Pond Naravit" , Thee is a former mafia heir who now runs a luxury brand… but mentally? Spiritually? Emotionally?
He lives inside a lakorn. This man learned romance from soap operas and it SHOWS.
He doesn’t flirt normally.
He delivers declarations like background music is swelling.
He stares like he’s about to announce a plot twist.
He falls in love like it’s the final episode.
And when he hires Peach to be his LOVE COACH so he can chase someone else??? Sir. The irony.
Watching Thee try to act “cool” while clearly falling for Peach instead is peak secondhand embarrassment and I LOVED EVERY SECOND. He’s loud in his feelings. Over-the-top. So earnest it hurts. And yet… he always asks for consent. He always listens when Peach draws a line. Dramatic but respectful king?? We love growth.
---
PEACHAYARAT JANEKIT (PEACH) — CALM, HOT, UNBOTHERED… UNTIL HE ISN’T
Played by "Phuwin Tangsakyuen", Peach is the grounded freelance photographer who just wanted to do his job and live peacefully. Instead, he got adopted by chaos.
Peach is introverted, emotionally intelligent, and allergic to nonsense. The way he looks at Thee like,
“Why are you like this?” but also “…why do I kind of like this?” ......................................IS EVERYTHING.
He doesn’t melt immediately. He doesn’t swoon. He calls Thee out. He sets boundaries. He makes Thee WORK for it. And watching Thee slowly shift from performative flirting to real, vulnerable affection because Peach won’t accept anything fake???
THAT’S THE ROMCOM GOLD.
---
THE DYNAMIC — CHAOS X COMPOSURE
This is not quiet yearning slow burn.
This is:
* Dramatic mafia prince who thinks love needs fireworks
* Emotionally mature photographer who just wants sincerity
* Love coaching that backfires spectacularly
* Accidental falling in love while pretending not to
The humor is REAL. Like actually funny. Not cringey filler. Thee’s dramatic logic vs Peach’s deadpan reactions? ICONIC.
But here’s the dangerous part:
Under all the comedy… it gets soft.
Thee learning to love without performance.
Peach slowly letting himself enjoy the chaos.
Moments where the joking stops and they just look at each other and it’s suddenly intimate.
That shift from ridiculous to real? That’s when it hits.
---
WHY THIS STORY WORKS
It’s not about mafia violence.
It’s not about tragic trauma.
It’s about a man who thought love was theatrical discovering that love can be quiet and grounded — and choosing that.
And Peach? He learns that sometimes chaos can feel safe too.
It’s mutual growth wrapped in romcom nonsense and I ate it up.
---
FOR ME - Me and Thee is:
✨ Over-the-top flirting
✨ Consent king energy
✨ Deadpan reactions
✨ Accidental falling
✨ Mafia heir who cannot function normally
✨ Photographer who pretends he’s immune but absolutely is not
It’s chaotic. It’s funny. It’s soft when you least expect it.
And Pond as Theerakit Kian Lee + Phuwin as Peachayarat Janekit?
Perfect romcom balance. One dramatic. One grounded. Both whipped.
10/10 for chaos.
10/10 for chemistry.
Emotionally? I need therapy.

Life's fair.... if treated fair as well.
School is meant for studying, but not all students find joy in it. So what could be better than studying? Fighting? I doubt violence is ever a solution in life. 🤔📚But in Study Group, that’s exactly what it shows. In Yuseong Technical High School, it feels like a place that raises gangsters, controlled by a student feared like a monster. Until the recent addition — the so-called dumbest student in school — dared to form a group where students study to enter college… and fight against that injustice. 👊🔥
This Korean drama raised my adrenaline after such a long time. I thought it would be boring at first, but I truly appreciated the friendship and bond that grew between the characters and their drive to reach their goal. The action stunts were stunning and kept me excited all throughout. ⚡🎬
The characters may look ordinary, but I like that each of them was given the chance to tell their own story. 🌟
Except the villain. His face was never scary, but he was intimidating — and that’s because of the actor portraying him. It ws a sublt eyet great portrayal. Still, I felt a bit sad that his character wasn’t explored much. Even though he was a villain, I was hoping to see the reasons behind his actions, especially since there were a few moments near the finale that showed remorse. 🥺
Hwang Min Hyun was amazing as the lead, and likewise, Han Ji Eun was beautiful in her feisty role as a teacher. 👏✨ I also loved discovering new favorites — Choi Woo Min as the capable villain and Hong Min Ki, who was compelling despite having only a few scenes. 💫
I was so ecstatic during the finale episode because I read that there will be a season two, and I truly can’t wait. I wonder who will be Han Wool’s successor. 😭🔥

Foreign Language in Love and Life
There are two kinds of language in this world—one that can be spoken, and one that can only be felt. But what happens when a person isn’t fluent in either? How can the other truly understand? Can This Love Be Translated? tells the story of a language interpreter and a rising actress who encounter each other by chance while traveling. Despite working in a field surrounded by communication, they often fail to grasp each other’s feelings—and that’s where a seemingly straightforward plot becomes surprisingly layered?
The drama centers on people who struggle to express their emotions because of personal wounds: one dealing with the sting of unrequited love, another numb to her own emotions, and the last uncertain about the validity of what he feels.
Throughout the filming of a global dating show, the language interpreter, the Korean actress and the Japanese Heartthrob gradually uncover parts of themselves, learn to heal, and even begin to understand languages—both literal and emotional—that once felt foreign, even to themselves.
It carries many tropes I love: love triangles, travel, entertainment industry settings, fun and fluttering moments, good music, and gorgeous scenery—all woven together in a way that kept me engaged.
Interestingly, it also contains elements I usually dislike—family secrets, psychological angles, side couples, and a larger ensemble—yet they all work together surprisingly well, becoming as enjoyable as the tropes I favor most.
That’s what makes this drama different. I assumed it would be just another popular K-drama of today, but instead it turned out to be light to watch, comforting, and free of pressure. Even the things I thought I wouldn’t enjoy ended up becoming some of the highlights. I expected those elements to make the story harder to understand, but they actually helped me see the drama more fully.
No character overshadows the others. Everyone has a role. Every relationship has weight. Every word reveals a part of their story.
And in the end, I found myself able to translate the love they carried—and it’s those emotions that allowed them to love freely, to love themselves, and to love others.

Happy for all but one
The story shows great character development, you can see the MC change from being weary and not trusting everyone to someone who was willing to make believe in the good in everyone. The story would have been perfect if not for the ending. I believe for someone who has gone through so much they deserve a bit more. Now we are left feeling empty and asking ourselves would you make the same decision the MC did? I guess there was not much left of anything if he didn't.Great story telling, great character development, good flashy CGI, lots of plot twists.

Slow beginning but the pace picks up
It took me about half way through the story before I started to care about any of the characters. The pacing was a slow beginning introducing plot points and increasing as all the threads wove themselves together connecting into a finale. The soundtrack wasn’t able to match many moods and settings. I considered this a clunky romance while watching yet felt pretty happy and satisfied with the drama by the ending. This is my first stopping a drama checking the age of the actress wondering about a gap between FL and ML. Liu Jin at 27 is styled similar to Ester Yu in Speed and Love. I was thinking she was too young, beautiful and charismatic putting the ML into the background. Wang Kai Mu is fading and didn’t come across with his usual starring performance. The chemistry between these two wasn’t coming across as sizzling at all. There were moments when ML carries the FL around or was protecting her which were appealing as the size difference is prominent. The casting between the ML and FL was mismatched not the individual acting of these two who are both great in their roles individually.

WOAH.
There are very few dramas that shake me to my core, but Word of Honor is certainly one them. The way I felt after I finished watching it is similar to how I felt after watching The Untamed, Revenged Love, Unknown The Series and Until We Meet Again—absolutely wrecked and at a loss for words. There are so many things that worked incredibly well in this BL, especially in terms what what slipped under the censorship radar. Although the novel is a technically BL (I haven't actually read it, yet but will be SOON), the drama is technically bromance. I must say, though, that I TOTALLY forgot this is bromance because the relationship dynamic between the two leads is so passionate, strong and visible, It's not sugar-coated. They LITERALLY call each other "soulmate" and promise "live and die together." There are other smaller hints of their love throughout the drama, which I won't get into that because I don't want to spoil.
I started watching this drama because I saw a TikTok meme edit that said something like, 'two single dad's get married and start a family' and I wanted to know how accurate the meme was. AND IT WAS. The pure, domestic moments (interspersed by action/fighting enemies) that the male leads get are so cute and endearing. The way they look at each other, banter, protect and support each other, spend time together and talk about one another to others is so heartwarming. And, yeah, this is a wuxia with action, politics, killing and revenge themes muddling the storyline, but there is also no shortage of good ole ROMANCE.
The casting is visually perfect. Both leads are gorgeous and the supporting characters are also pretty great (have you seen the Scorpion King??? he may be crazy, but his eyeliner is always sharp as hell). The edits on TikTok and YT go CRAZY.
If you're contemplating watching this, and you're a fan of The Untamed, Meet You At The Blossom or Kill to Love, you will definitely enjoy Word of Honor!
